He highlighted her new documentary simply titled Melania, which hit theaters across the United States on January 30, 2026. Trump shared a personal story from his speech, saying he came home excited about falling drug prices and told the first lady about it. He then shifted to celebrate her film, calling it hot and a big success that turned her into a movie star. This marks at least the second time Trump has made such comments. Back in February 2026, at a board of piece of it, he again called her a big movie star with a number one hit. There, he joked about the challenge of having two stars in one family since he sees himself as one too. He claimed theaters were packed, especially with women returning to watch it multiple times. The film got backing from Amazon MGM Studios, but did not win over critics.
