A listener explained to me what “Trump Derangement Disorder” did to her family. She said, “I like what Mr Trump said, although the way he said it left something to be desired. My husband had nothing but blind hatred, and most of my family as well, and in my own home I wasn’t allowed to listen to a Trump speech, or podcast, and family members who preach tolerance were suddenly intolerant of descending opinions! Conversations that in the past would have simply been rousing debates, became personal attacks. I didn’t know what to do with these adults who had been friends, and family members through thick and thin were suddenly acted like five-year-olds.
