Tri This: S1E24 - Kirstin Becomes an Ironman

She made it! Kirstin is now officially an Ironman and in this episode we hear what it took to complete the Coeur D'Alene Ironman 202. If we could label this year as extreme with the fires, ice storms and everything else, this race came with another level of extreme. If you were following the day, athletes encountered extreme temperatures and the DNF rate was one of the highest seen at an Ironman race. To accomplish and finish the day was an incredible feat. You'll hear about the trials and triumphs of the day. We talk about nutrition, hydration, performance, and we give some tips about the race to keep in mind if you decide to race Coeur D'Alene in the future. It's a very well run race and the support from the people of the town was incredible. Take a listen as Kirstin takes us through the day. And well done to all who competed and finished the Coeur D'Alene Ironman 2021.
