Toronto Blue Jays fans got some tough news about young pitcher Trey Yessevage. The 22-year-old right-hander won't start the 2026 season on the active roster. Instead, he'll begin on the injured list with a right shoulder impingement. Manager John Schneider shared the update on March 19 in Dunedin, Florida. Yessevage is in fully shut down from throwing, but he won't be ready when official games kick off. He was a favor for American League rookie of the year after bursting onto the scene last year.
