Tremaine Edmunds Seeking Trade, Bears Save Cap Space

0:00With the NFL today, March 4th, Chicago Bears linebacker Tremaine Edmonds has permission to seek a trade as free agency nears. The 27-year-old former first-round pick from the Buffalo Bills signed a 4-year 72-million-dollar deal with Chicago back in. 2023, he's now in the final year of that contract. Reports say there's a decent chance Edmonds gets moved before the deadline. Otherwise, he'll likely become a salary cap casualty through release or trade. The Bears stand to say $15 million in cap space either way. Fans remember Edmonds from his Bills days where he's shown as a two-time pro bowl selection. Buffalo drafted him 16th overall in 2018 alongside Josh Allen. Cap issues forced the bills to let him walk after his rookie deal. Several teams have shown interest, including the Tennessee Titans, Las Vegas Raiders, and New York Giants. The bills, however, are not in the mix this time around. All this comes ahead of free agency starting March 11th.
