We're team in transition. Welcome back to Halt Payton Show Chicago Sports Radio 1043, the score broadcasting live from the Hyundai score studios brought you by your local Hyundai dealers. Had a great day today. Thank you to everyone who contributed by calling by taxi. We had some really good collars and the techs have been really strong. Jerry, you bring out the best in the tech stream. I haven't seen it this positive in a long time. Yeah, it's real. It's a bit positive. It's a pretty positive one. I'd like to thank everyone associated with the program beginning with our video producer, Jacob Stutz. Thank you to Dustin Rhodes, our executive producer. Our gave remeres predicting that the bears are going to drop the first game of the season to Panthers because they're a little too puffy. Chusted. They're feeling a little too confident and you're always going to lose a game you're supposed to win and you're going to win a game you're supposed to lose. And he's putting that in that category and shame on you gave remeres.

That's not how I wanted to start game week was hearing gave remeres who says, Bingham and Meatball Bears fan as I am saying that he's predicting game one is going to the Panthers. Well, Dustin, I have some bad news for you. I think that there's another person that's just walked in the studio that might agree with the gave remeres. I am only a threat to pick Carolina. You haven't done that yet. Yeah, I have not done that yet. You have threatened to do that. And as I go, in fact, in fact, I look at the old man, that's just, I just look at him. He is not. He is standing up and giving me the stare down here right now. As I look more closely at the matchup at this very moment, I'm just telling you here. Okay. Everything's very volatile. I am leaning bears. I am leaning bears, but still a threat to pick the Carolina Panthers. Where are you in election prediction? I like what? What's changing your mind? This one. That's what I was going to say to you. I'll tell you honestly, what's changing my mind is that they are with the, I don't know

if they can run the football. They lost their top running back, Rico Dowdell. He signed elsewhere, I believe, with the Pittsburgh Steelers and then the guys behind him, Chuba Hubbard had 511 rushing yards last year. Jonathan Brooks, who had been in like nasty injuries for two years. Let me think. Let me bring a fire. That's a brand of fire. That's me wide. So that's, yeah. Second and goal, Sui. Oh, look at the effort by Sui for its next round. Matt Sui hit by four or five Cleveland defenders and refused to go down. Thank you very much, breaded. And now it's time for the Rahimi Grote show. And now Layla Rahimi and the editor of Panthers.com, Mark Grote. Okay. Okay. Rico Dowdell talk on the two. I'll stop naming names. I'll just make it really simple here. Here's why today, today I am leaning towards the Bears. I'm not seeing a fear factor on the Carolina offense.

Okay. That's it. That's it. Except for McMillan, I guess. What about, oh, you, but there's a huge drop off. Six, four. He's, he, he was a raining bitch. Oh, my God. A tall wide receiver. It's still rookie. Calls problems. I don't know. He's terrific, but there's a huge drop off after that that they don't really have. Like if there's no, that's what I'm saying. Now don't make me go back into the car. I'll go. He's good. He's very good. I kind of, I side with Brad Biggs on this. I'm like, man, they gave that, that Ram steam, everything they could handle in that playoff game. He's right. They let it the half. And that was on the road. That was in Carolina now. The heat also, I think, becomes a factor in this. There's a reason Ben Johnson had his team play an outside and practicing hard outside and Tennessee and all these other stuff. Are you, are you, are you picking Carolina to win to Laila? Is that what? Do you know what? Dustin, do you hear what Laila's doing here at the heat? I think it does become a factor for teams. I do think that. Absolutely. I agree. He's becoming a factor this morning. Yeah, yeah. It's a bit stuffy in here this morning. I don't know.

I warned you guys months ago. Actually, I weren't our bosses months ago about this whole, our heat or not working situation. It's a reason. And it totally got worse. That's what we built. When it's me, it's complaining. But when other people are doing it, oh, suddenly it makes sense. I wear two shirts every day now just to make sure I don't sweat through the first one. And I'm typically freezing in here. Well, that's the idea not to freeze you out, but like it's best to be a bit colder if anything. Yes. A bit chilly in here. Right. Because you could add layers to yourself. No. We needed all of the caffeine and whatever. Jared was drinking strawberry. Strawberry, I. What? Strawberry, I. I. No caffeine, no lemonade. Oh, okay. Starbucks. Okay. Ah. Jared gave Dustin an order this morning because Mitch usually brings us in, but Dustin had the good nature and the volunteer to go get our coffee and whatever. It's drinking. And the order, I think, needs some explanation.

So a strawberry lemonade, ASE, then they got this big one that I hope my daughter doesn't learn that they have this size like this. A Trento. Like, Venti on steroids. It's the Trento. No lemonade. No strawberry. Inclusions. And peach. A peach. Little ice and no caffeine. Ooh. So then I said, wait a minute, you ordered a strawberry lemonade drink and you said no strawberry and no lemonade. I said, if you ever ordered a patty melt, that's like ordering a patty melt on white toast with no onions. That mean you just add a cheeseburger. I tell you what, I mean, you just a definition of it really. Or like no toast, you know. Then you just order a little car, yeah. You're also racking in the lemon. It's a six-step process. I'm buying tomorrow. So that's all we need to know. What's your drink, huh? I don't even know. I don't even know. It's drink. I'm very straight. I'm just going to drink hot. I'm here. I was like, Tuesday morning, you just want to be. Go right at it. Now last week I was going, I was going pumpkin spice latte. Oh, that's right. So that's right, pumpkin. Pumpkin spice latte.

All pumpkin hot. What I want though is to mark Dustin, I want you to get my drink. Not the Trenta though. Just get the little one. To see where I'm coming from. It looks really good. It's good with the Peas juice phenomenon. I say, yeah. Are these all teas, by the way? All these I say, yeah, Trenta business. I say, yeah, it's a berry. It's a berry. Oh, berry. I got an Alani Neu today. Oh, my. What's that? Is that Starbucks? No, they're energy drinks. Oh, I didn't know that. They're like clay and I drink. Sometimes clay and I talk about the pre workout. Pro workout. You're drinking what clay harbors drink? No, no. No, plays optimum nutrition. I just, I like the Alani news every now. The Lord's Homes is an Alani Neu guy. Okay. Clay drinks egg yolks. That's what he drinks. No, like Rocky. Yeah, yeah. Too much cholesterol. I got to go with just the egg white. Okay. Did you ever do that? No, you never did this. Really? No. I did it when I, after seeing Rocky do it. Oh, yeah. No, I had to try it.

I could never do it. Yeah. Did six egg yolks once in a glass and just. Just inspired by Rocky Bell bowl. Absolutely. Absolutely. 100%. I did the same thing. Yeah. So, some things are not meant to be tried. Now, running up the steps is fine. That's fine. So, if you do that 10 times, I've been down to a vertical mile. Is that it? Yeah. I also used to eat spinach like when I was a kid just because Popeye. And I hated it. My parents thought it was a fun thing in the world. With forums. Jerry's got the Popeye forums. Oh, yeah, man. The meaty forums. Just like Jacob Webb. Yeah. Like you shirt, sweetness 34. Thank you, sir. Representing. He is looking sharp today, isn't he? Yeah, absolutely. I got him. I'll be looking sharp. Man, he comes in with a new button up every time. I got to look fresh like you. That's two jobs, look. What do you guys got going today? The Cubs were not perfect yesterday. What are they? Cubs were imperfect. And the Cubs have to be perfect. That's what Craig says. Cubs got to be perfect that they want to be the brewers. Did you, did you, Laila? Craig, council thinks the brewers are pretty good. Oh, yeah. Yeah, the best team in the national league. He keeps talking about it.

So Laila and I will talk about the imperfections that we found in the game. There was a Zephyr John situation again. Wasn't there, Laila? Yeah, Grote is being, is being calm for the sake of contrast because you know as I came in here, I'll piss and vinegar. I love it. I love your piss and vinegar. I love it. You're completely calm. Save that echo again. Yeah, I'm sorry. Yeah, even I knew. Okay. Continue. Come on, celebrate. Oh, God, go. You can do that. Keep it on real quick. Oh, my goodness. All right, quickly, 11.25 E in half. Enjoy the show. Ben Johnson scheduled to speak to the media masses at the hall around 11.40. So you know we will be bringing you bears news. 125 herb-powered from Halles Hall. We'll have multiple bears segments on this show. We will talk about Batsoui and condolences to you, Jared Peyton for that. Of course, we, I loved your words this morning on the program. Well, the white socks got a chance to take a deep breath.

I think I need a deep breath right now. That is what we have coming up on Reheavie and Grote on the score today. Have a good show. You too. I don't know if you have plans today. If you got a man tonight. Hey, man. This is Peter.
