In Durham today, March 12th, the North Carolina Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission has suspended the operating permits for touchdown sports bar in Raleigh due to repeated. Violent incidents over the past year, earlier this week, officials made the announcement with the Barr's permits said to be fully revoked on March 19th. Police have documented several shootings at the spot on New Bern Avenue, including two people wounded on February 15th with injuries that were. Not life-threatening. In October, a woman and two men got hurt in another shooting there, and back in June, one man suffered non-life-threatening wounds from gunfire. This string of violence has sparked major safety worries for the neighborhood, forcing the bar to shut down and highlighting ongoing issues with crime.
