Tory Lanez's Conviction Upheld: No Parole Until 2029

0:00On March 1st, the California Supreme Court has denied Torrey Lenez's request to review his conviction in the shooting case involving Megan D. Stallion, letting the guilty verdict stand firm. This decision came on Wednesday, February 25th, just three months after a state appeals court upheld the original ruling from December 20th, 22. The case goes back to July 2020 when lands was convicted of assault with a semi-automatic firearm carrying a loaded unregistered gun in a basis. The 33-year-old Canadian rapper was sentenced to 10 years in prison back in August 2022 and despite his ongoing claims of, innocence and mentions of new evidence, all appeals have failed so far. He's serving time at the California men's colony in San Luis Obispo and won't be eligible for parole until August 20th, 29, marking the end of another chapter in this long legal battle.
