Tornadoes Kill 6, Injure Many in Michigan and Oklahoma

Officials confirmed four deaths in southern Michigan and two in Oklahoma, with rescue teams still checking the widespread damage from the severe storms. In Michigan's Branch County near Union City, a tornado killed three people and injured 12, wrecking homes, barns and other large buildings. These crushed cars, power mines fell, and hundreds lost electricity leading to road closures expected through the weekend. Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer declared a state of emergency for the hardest hit counties and send resources to help families. She shared her thoughts with those who lost loved ones and the injured residents. Over in Oklahoma, a tornado carved a four-mile path of destruction in Oak Moghi County, about 30 miles south of Tulsa, claiming two lives in bags. Emergency crews are racing to clear roads and reach affected spots.
