With the New Year upon us, there's no better time to take control of your finances. Follow and listen to Jill on Money, wherever you get your podcasts. Welcome back. If you're watching the junkies via YouTube, subscribe to our YouTube page, 1067 The Fan. Like it. It might be a different vibe because we were scrambling today. Yeah. Apparently there were some issues behind the scenes and we're using the old Streamyard app. I'll do my best not to put a piece of paper in front of my camera. Yeah. It's kind of my copseel. It's a move whenever you have a spot. It's my thing. What that means is we're using our laptop computer cameras. Yes. And my camera is very unreliable. I'm just glad it's working today. Right. It's up and running. Yeah, I figured it out. So here we are. It's all good. Let's take a little while. For some reason, Chrome won't. It blocks my camera and my mic, but I have to go to Microsoft Edge and it doesn't. So why would one browser block it, the other browser doesn't? There's weird settings. Get that out of here. Which computer means for the Streamyard, the one with all the cracks on screen.

No, no. You can't use that one because that microphone's all screwed up. I mean, we should send that. I mean, the camera screwed up. When that thing eventually dies, we should send that to the Smithsonian. I mean, that's a piece of American history. Radio history. It really is. It's what that is. I know you look. You don't even see all the smashes that I see. You can see it. Maybe. All I need to see is the bulldog clip in the corner holding it together and the fact that the top portion of the screen is cock-eyed from the keyboard. Yeah. Okay. So you see that part, but turning around for him, Jason. I see that. He sees it. I see that. Look how many smashes there. Uproarable. That's because I dropped it on my kitchen floor. I see that this portion has that definite dent right here. Yeah. I think it is. But you know what? He loves it. A lot of it kicking. A lot of it kicking. Simple minds wrote the song about that. It's operational. Hey, I dropped this thing so many times and it's still alive. Yeah. You know what? Props to my HP. That's some quality craft. And me. The HP envy. And right now you've got Drew Aller up there.

Looks like on the screen. Yeah. Because I see we're going to talk. He had a good combine. Oh, I don't know how good of a combine. I saw it's something that people are saying that he might be a better pro than a college player. It's quite from his agent. Before. Yeah. I'm sure that's the agent spin. All right. Let's get into the jucky sports page brought to you by Open Road. Invite your home bar with Open Road distilling company spirit, locally crafted wear, Rest in VA. You can get the Eagle I ride, the maple old fashioned, the independence bourbon, all available at ABC stores in Northern Virginia. You guys were talking about cost of food and everything. At least your daughter didn't spend $83 on DoorDash from Taco Bell on Friday. More than the people first. It was more than one person. Yeah. Okay. $13 on Taco Bell DoorDash on Friday. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Does that mean that you spent it? They use your credit card on the. No, it's her. It was her account. But you missed it because I was grilling her for spending $53 on DoorDash sushi, which

was just for her on Thursday. She had a long day at work. She said, Dad, I was just hungry. She didn't want to stop somewhere. She wanted to go right home and door. Right. She's 24 years old and she's sending text to her dad in anticipation of being grilled. Yeah. Because she's still in her account. Well, $83 for DoorDash is for Taco Bell. So for how many people? How many people made a run for the burger? I think it was three. Three? Three girls, though. That's a lot. That's a lot to drop at Taco Bell. Again, if in when she ever gets off of Jason's leash, she's going to be like one of those Mormons. Yeah. When the Mormons get their free reign for a couple of years, you're talking about the Amish. You're getting your. Oh, that's true. But I think the Mormons might do that too. That I'm not sure of. But I think you're talking about the same thing in the Amish. Yeah. But 83 bucks for Taco Bell? I mean, my standard Taco Bell order, that's very boring. Two chicken soft tacos, one order of nachos, and of course a big like 32 ounce drink. There's no way that's more than like 10 bucks.

10 bucks. Yeah. I mean, maybe nine dollars. Well, DoorDash just doubles it up and they take half of that. We did Uber Eats on Friday night when friends come up from Tampa and hung out with us for a day or two, actually, two nights. I had a great time with them. Didn't feel like going out to a restaurant that will just Uber Eats. The food is fine, but it's a little bit cold. Sure. It's just, of course it is. Yeah. That's the downside. I don't understand the attraction. It's the lazyness. It's lazyness. Yeah. It's lazyness is what it is. It's complete laziness. Yeah. Do you know how many Uber Eats commercials? I saw it during the NFL season with Bradley Cooper talking about how football isn't trying to sell you food. Dozens. Millions. Millions. And it's because America is filled with lasies that just want the food there. People pay for convenience. And going and getting it themselves. Yeah. I know I like convenience as much as anyone, but you don't even get the food hot. You're lucky to get a pizza hot when you order a pizza.

Yeah. It's crazy. It's crazy. Convenience and laziness. I've said this a million times. Some of my neighbors live in the townhouse live four blocks, walking from Meza Grill and would do Uber Eats. Yes. That's Meza Grill. That is the height of laziness right there. He could have walked there in three minutes. Crazy. I know. Guy doesn't like getting his steps. He doesn't like getting his steps in. Clearly not. Well, you got the combined, the cloud mind, I think ends today, correct? For the most part, it seemed like the bulk of it was already done. I think the bulk of it is somewhere. I think there's one more day. You got the combined going on, you got free agency starting in a week. You've got conference tournament starting in college, whoops starting today. I watched a lot of the running backs and receivers run. I watched the quarterbacks run. Obviously, I saw like the sunny styles, highlights, and that's what it feels like. Jumping 100 inches. Yeah. That we're just blowing people away. I watched the running backs do their drills and I couldn't differentiate one guy from

the rest. Then the one guy from Navy, I feel bad for him, fell down when he had to make his cut. Oh, I missed that. Now, he did another rep and he did it better, but I don't know how they learn anything from some of those drills. I honestly don't. Obviously, he learned something from their times. And I guess, Cardinal Tate, maybe you're in a little bit slower than what people had anticipated. 4-5-4. Yeah. I mean, he's a bigger guy. Yeah. Yeah. And I'm pretty criticized because apparently he was jocking Cardinal Tate and people were saying, oh, some agent definitely planted this. He said that it was a faster time than what they showed in TV. No, the hand time several scouts had him hand time faster. And listen, you know the difference between 4-5-1 and like 4-5 or something, it's minuscule. Right. You can't even... Of course. Can you run a good route? You have good hands. Yeah. Can you get open and when the ball is thrown, you can catch it. That's important. I mean, you know, I'm a swim dad and my wife sometimes goes, oh, she was slower by points

as like points who cares. You're kidding me. She's not in Olympics. It's no different. It's just no different. It's a thing. Boom, boom. Exactly. Yeah. You know. So are you more excited for J-Love now because of the 4-3-6 that he ran or are you buying into a lot of it? No, I was all in on him as it's just like a superstar before. I just confirmed my bias. I just imagine. What I'm saying is, are you more into possibly drafting him at 7? Maybe. Maybe just because there's such a universal hype about him. Right. It's not just me being delusional. I think you were here when we still had that conversation. The conversation really was, would it be responsible or irresponsible if they drafted him? I mean, if you get more explosive on offense, in theory, it should make you defend a little bit better. Right. You'll be better. You'll be better. You'll be better. Right. You'll be better. We'll be better. We'll be better. We'll be better. For sure. And we'll be better on offense tonight. For sure. For sure.

If they whip on their targets and they kind of get middling free agents on defense, then I think they need to get started on defense and the drifts. What was interesting is, somebody had a report that they definitely wanted to address the offense in the draft. I don't know if you saw that, but that they're in the- Definitely saw that. Yeah. I've got a little bit of movement in my body. Yeah. There was a report by someone. I can't remember where. And I did see it. things, that the commanders, the talk is the commanders want a more explosive offense that's going to be part of the top of the draft, and the good news is they need help everywhere. Yeah, they do. So it could be running back, it could be they definitely apparently are going to try to find a real number two receiver, and you know, I didn't, it's up in the air. Yeah, it's going to be interesting to see what direction they go, certainly early next week. So 9 through 11 March 9 through 11 is the tampering, the tampering period, right? Right. We're about to week away. And then 11, they can start signing them officially. I think so. Yeah. But they report that they're talking or and they have got, I think you'll even have

them announce a deal during the mids and Finley show. There's a very good chance to announce the first signing by the commanders. Yeah. Yeah. The window just opened like an hour ago, right? They'll have already agreed in principle. Because it's 12.01, they'll probably be a flood of deals. Yeah. And then, you know, by the end of the day, probably be 50 guys who have signed, right? And then by the end of the next day, it'll be probably a hundred and they'll be just nubbins left on the top 100 free agents list. Right. Right. I think I can honestly say that no matter what they do, I think I'll be excited on draft day for their first pick. Yeah. Of course, it's going to be a glamorous guy. It's going to be, if they stay a seven, yeah. If they stay a seven, yeah, if they trade down and slide down to like number 20, I guess that's positive. You'll be into it. But maybe not as much. Yeah. Yeah. Well, listen, they dropped like a receiver at 20 or something that might, you know, you could get excited about that. Yeah, but you're not going to get a pretty good guy.

Sure. Yeah. You're not going to get Tyson or Tate. Not as good as the guy you get at seven. Yeah. But you still, I think they're going to stay at seven. I think there's going to be too many good names. They'll just pop right there. And Peter says, I can't pass on this guy. Yeah. I don't know. We need 10 wins or more of the season for everybody to get off my back like drafting impact guy. It's seven. Yeah. I don't know what to do about Bains, short arms, it's not that you can do about them. I don't know if I would take them. Well, they might not. I think I would. I think I would take them because the tape is so strong on them. I don't think I would let that prevent me from taking them. I think. Yeah. If, you know, if he was my top target, he was available. I think I would take him. I mean, he's a beast. Right. I mean, does have short arms, but he gets after the QB. Right. But I agree with you at seven. They're going to be, there's going to be a name there where you're going to, you're going to get excited. I've seen people be critical of his draft. I think at the top of the draft, there's a bunch of studs.

I think they're studs. Oh, yes. Especially on the defensive side. I'm going to look at so many mocks in the next month in five weeks. So many mock drafts. Yeah. Just going to consume so many. But next week, we'll really dictate things when they announce those first couple of guys. I didn't where they go. I'm not paying attention. I don't pay attention to NASCAR ever. But Tyler Reddick is Michael Jordan's, his driver, right? He got two drivers. Yeah. But this guy Tyler Reddick is one three in a row, three in a row. Yeah. And the heater crazy. How many times has that been done? Never. I think it's first time. That's the first time. What is going on there? I don't. My first instinct, some sort of shenanigans, oh, my God, there has to be some sort of cheating. Could be cheating or along the same lines. I feel like as an outside observer, very, very outside, like 100 miles away, the most outside, the most outside you could be, it seems like these drivers sometimes are the mechanics or whatever. They find something. They find a tune that's set up that works and these guys go on little heaters. That's what it seems like to me. He's on a heater.

They got a little heater. That's a team they've got. They're on a little heater. We were talking about that during the break. I feel like there have been ares. Maybe this will be the Tyler Reddick era where there was Jeff Gordon. He was winning all the races, surprising every one, three in a row. Well, Jimmy Johnson was dominant for like a decade. Right. I don't think Tyler, this guy's going to be dominant for decades. Well, he knows. I think they just stumbled onto something. Okay. We'll jump over back into anonymity in a few weeks. I mean, Jeff Gordon was winning all those races. I'm stunned. He never won three in a row. And same thing for Jimmy Johnson. Yeah. I doubt this guy's just going to have some iconic year. I think they just stumbled on this. We'll see. Yeah. But he was driving at Toyota. Got a third consecutive win down in Austin. Jimmy Johnson won the NASCAR Cup Series seven times. Right. Those guys are beasts. I don't think he can put this guy in that category yet. Well, of course. Yeah. Yeah. But maybe he's the real deal. But you got to give, you got to tip your captain, MJ, but he couldn't pull it off as an NBA GM or owner. Oh, but in NASCAR. In NASCAR. As a GM and as a owner of the NASCAR started to gain some credibility.

And he bailed, right? He sold. Does he still have a piece of the hornets? I know he sold the majority share. I wanted to finally get in decent. Not sure if he has a piece, but he made, he made a killing on his, on his investment on that team. Yeah. I think Conn Kinnipples is going to win the rookie of the year over Cooper Flag. Because of flag. Well, if you look at their numbers, they're very close and flags missing all these games. Conn Kinnipples averaging 19 points a game. And his team has had a turnaround. Jordan has a minority stake. Okay. So he still has a minority stake. I know what a great deal sells for a huge profit and still has a piece of the team. Yep. Yep. Got a minority stake. Brilliant. So I had the, in my money line parley yesterday, I had the Cavaliers playing the Nets. I'm just betting against all of the tankers. I haven't followed your lead. I don't know what I'm doing. Cavaliers are playing well with James Harden, right? Yeah. He had 22 last night. Well, they only won by four. They wouldn't be broken by four, but it's still a win. But these, these tanker teams, I mean, they're just obviously trying to lose.

So I hit that yesterday. Friday got screwed. I took the Celtics. They won by about a hundred. But I had Yale with Miami, Ohio and Troy and Yale lost at the buzzer at Cornell. Yeah. I'm sorry. I would have told you I'll hit a three at the buzzer, basically. Jake Feagan hit a three. It was huge. Yep. Cornell beat or Cornell lost the Yale by about 40. Right. The class of the league for four or five years. I would have put all my money on Yale too, honestly, even though I watched it and invested in rooting hard for Cornell. It was a huge win for them. They were able to follow that up with another win and actually sealed the deal to make the Ivy League tournament 50 year in a row for Cornell. Yep. So that was a big deal. And leading the Ivy League and scoring. Cooper Nord. Very good. Yeah. Well, I do know this that you're betting against the tankers. One of those teams is the wash wizards. They've lost four in a row. And yes. And they're playing Houston tonight. Mission accomplished. Let's keep this. Let's keep the heater going. They had a little hiccup against Indiana where they won two in a row against the Pacers.

They settled down fellas, but they've turned it around. They understand the assignment. It's been given to them. And so I was looking, they've got 16 wins on the year. That is the fourth worst in the NBA. Yeah. So they'll be in the lottery just perfectly according to plan. It's the way it's supposed to be. Until the until the new tech. How many games come so much here? How many games did you say? That's 16 and 43, right? Are they 16 and 43? Yes. So they've played 59 games, 23, 23 games, okay. Speaking of 23, you already paid me for the tray young bet. Yeah. I thought they played 20 games. I didn't think they'd win. They won too many games and they had now in the deep trouble. They're right on the cusp of losing the potentially losing that protected eighth pitch. They ran the SIM lottery. They won the number one pick. I mean, we already know it's like a 14% chance. Oh, and again, they got the seventh pick. Who would kick? Don't love that.

Would you take Darren Peterson? Kansas lost over the weekend to zone, I believe. I don't know if I love the fact that he sits out a bunch of games. I don't know if I love that. I actually don't love that. Probably take the bands up. Not boozer, probably my pick. Not the kid from Arkansas. Hey y'all, I'm Maddie. I'm Poodle, and together we host the podcast Reality Gaze. Following listen to Reality Gaze, wherever you get your podcast. Let's go. Probably going to take the bands. I think it's Arkansas might be easy to kill it. He is legit. Oh, Brandon again, Wizards coming six is still dicey. So speaking of 23, the cap said 23 games left after the Olympic break.

Yeah, they played three of them since his 20 left. They won the first two, which were big. I thought we said they had to go 19 and six. That was 17 to six carbs said 16 and seven 16 and seven. Yeah. So far the two and one. All right. Fourteen and six. Fourteen and six. All right. That's going to be tough. We need them to get in. I don't care how they get in. I don't care if they'll eight seed that we need them to get it. OV scored a couple. He did. When they got. What do you know? Twenty two. Twenty three. He's got twenty three. Okay. I think it's twenty three twenty four. I saw on a new list. I hadn't paid any attention. Guess he's still behind Gretzky in total goals if you include the playoffs. So he passed him in the regular season. So he's still, you know, I can't run any chase. He's still chasing Gretzky in total goals. Okay. Yeah. Nobody cares about that. Nobody cares about that. We showed up in some sort of capitals note, right? And caps play here tomorrow. I guess you got twenty four twenty four goals. We're off by one. They play Utah here tomorrow night.

Utah's pretty damn good. Get a similar record of the caps. Yeah. I didn't think they were that good. All right. So yeah. So caps tomorrow night against Utah. So hopefully they can get another win. Keep piling up the two points. But it seems like he's behind Gretzky in total goals. I quite a bit. Only he's going to catch him about maybe 50 or so. If this is accurate. Oh no. This is as of early twenty twenty five. Okay. This is not accurate. Sorry. Made it seem like he could catch him in the. Again, it was probably like a two or three sentence paragraph and note. I mean, why would he give me April of twenty twenty five numbers? That's just not how you're living in the past. Crack Google AI. Whatever Google AI. It's not good. AI. They're not infallible. Definitely not. Given the old info. They could trip you off. All right. Got to take a break. Phone numbers one eight hundred six three six one oh six seven junkies coming back for more.
