And our headlines are courts, juggle election issues that would be Missouri. Pratt's tell Talleriko to shut up and Trump will strip tax-free status from schools practicing DEI. 1:01All right. In political news, Kegger Kavanaugh rejected Missouri's appeal to use its new redistricting map in favoring the Republicans, saying it must be put to a public referendum. That forces me to revise downward my house prediction to Republican 220, and I'm already down one from Max Miller, so this takes me down two. This seat isn't gone, but it's no longer a lock. If I understand the legal rationale here, this is pretty much what the court said to Virginia as well. Then, though, just minutes after Kegger gave his decision, another federal judge in a different case said, nope, the first 7-to-1 map stance. Missouri appears to be going along with that. Now, I don't know that anybody knows what's going on here. Will it be appealed to the sups again? Probably, if they let the federal judge stand, then his ruling stands. I don't know. 2:03state decision while the federal judge now has the final ruling until or unless he is specifically overruled by the sups. Wow, go figure. But like I say, for now, I'm going to count this as a loss putting us to 220. I don't do polls, but for those of you who do do polls, the Republican is pulled ahead in the Oregon governor's race. Yeah, that sounds like a blue wave, right? And Michelle Tafoya is within two in her US Senate race in Minnesota. Now, even for some of the good pollsters, that is the good pollsters of 2024, that margin in Minnesota means this race is a tie right now because they always over sample Democrats in Minnesota. Except they might want to mention that all Islam is radical, but I guess that's a bridge too far. In economic news, Trumponomics triumphs in the latest jobs report. Even the New York Slimes has to call those numbers zesky. The Trump administration facilitated a loan that will restart in Iowa, nuke plant. The Department of Labor has suspended all, all India-based cognizant. That's a company, cognizance, visa, filings. That's kind of interesting. A Johns Hopkins team found a way to drastically reduce fabrication time for carbon-carbon composites. Here's my little carbon-carbon story.

8:27Sometime around 1989-1990, I was doing contract work for the United States Air Force, writing a history of a then-secret program called the X-30 National Aerospace Plane Program. I talked about this before. The goal was to create a single stage-to-orbit jet that would take off and land like a regular jet. It would use hypersonic engines to reach mock 25 in the atmosphere before tilting up. To do this required fantastic materials breakthroughs, especially in carbon carbon composites. I went to General Dynamics, one of the airframe makers in Dallas, and the guy I was interviewing said, quote, hold out your hand. So I did. He put about a three-inch piece of shuttle leading wing edge in my hand, and it felt like an amble folks. I could barely hold it up. Then he said, now try this. 9:27light as a feather. I could have lifted it with two fingers. So if we can get these kinds of materials happening fast and cheap, who knows what's possible. In international news, China dumped $56 billion into its credit markets to prevent credit from drawing up and to prevent the largest credit contraction in China's history. The Huns are learning you can't keep the AFD party down. Gee, maybe it's because it really is about the issues. The party is just three seats short of an actual majority. So I don't want to stretch this too far, but it sure seems like Trump is spinning off an awful lot of corruption investigations around the globe. Now it hasn't reached the euros yet. Oh no, they're too smart for that, but it'll get there. Media-Crab Britain's home office intends to resettle 3,500 migrants into small towns where locals are going to be out number 10 to 1. No, they can't keep the aliens out, but they can sure arrest people for online speech that they don't like. 62,000 have been arrested in just five years and mediocre Britain for speech that the authorities don't like. Unreal, what's happened to that country? Oops, the Antarctic ice sheet is growing.

11:31Once again, climate change hoaxters are the hardest hit. I want to take a second here. It's not my notes, but I want to remind you all of something. Just about 35 years ago, 30 to 30 or 35 years ago, Rush Limbaugh was arguing that the climate change hoax was the biggest threat to the United States ever can see. And he argued this because at that time, it looked like the international bodies, like the World Health Organization, the United Nations, all of the world, all these idiots. Through the Paris Accords and all the rest, we're going to intervene in US policy and convert us into a green little vassalage. Remember that? Rush was preaching that about 35 years ago. Well, what happened? Trump won came in in 2017 and absolutely nuked these. This is why we aren't

12:33talking about it anymore, folks. Trump beat it already and people are out there. Oh, what's he done lately? He already beat what Rush Limbaugh called the greatest threat to American democracy he had ever seen. And that was the climate change hoax. It's bad enough they can't stop an invasion of unarmed Moroccans, but the Spanish government wants to raise taxes on gas and oil, even as they swelter. You know, morons isn't a strong enough word here. This is also inevitable. The euros are coming for private bank accounts that they can't make it without, and folks, they need more money. And with shrinking birth rates, they have no more money. And with people rising up against the migrants, they can't drag them and in and tax them. In entertainment news, college footballs, a southeastern conference that SEC, it's a powerhouse has been for years. But it wants to kick out Louisiana State University for bringing back former pro players to play

13:37on its college football team. And here I thought everybody in the SEC got paid. A third person has died at the Burning Man festival. This thing has become a deadly joke. After pleading guilty in the varsity blues FBI sting over fraudulent college emissions, actress Lori Alophalan and her husband are splitsville. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, anybody remember them? Their quarterback Baker Mayfield signed a $165 million dollar three year deal making him the third highest fake quarterback in the NFL. So question, do you think Baker Mayfield is better than say, Dak Prescott or Jalen Hertz or Justin Fields or whoever else you want to eat. Is he the third best quarterback in the NFL? You've got my homes, right? Who else you got? I think Dak Prescott's up there.

14:47They're just all over the place. There's a top quarterback in almost every team. I mean, the number one draft pick for Nando Mendoza is not even going to start in Oakland because he's not ready and because Kirk Cousins is playing so well. Anyway, it's just amazing. This is going to kick start a ratchet where all of the quarterback prices are going to go up. I'm thinking probably Jerry Jones was smart in signing Dak a couple of years ago to that outrageous because he's tied up really until the end of his really good playing time. Then we'll see what happens. Finally, a little bit of yard work in Denmark uncovered the largest trove of silver ever discovered there. Unfortunately, I wasn't there to get any of it. 15:51and that slowly Republicans are going to move into their correct positions and win the midterms. It's not absolutely prophesying yet. I do think Republicans will get 220 in the house, but that's iffy. I mean, we got some races out there with nut jobs on both sides. So we'll see how it turns out.
