Sick Lindsay. I mean, she's just making herself more and more part-time by not showing up for work. Yeah. I have to agree with you. Disposable, is what she is. Well, since Lindsay's not here, she's sick. We can talk about her behind her back, so that's sort of a silver lining. Love it. Love it. The other day, we were talking about how Lindsay talks a big game when she's like, I could be single, and she throws it out there casually. If I was single, I would do this, and if I was single, I would have a whole room dedicated to my purses and things like that. But then I called her out. I said, listen, you haven't been single for longer than three months in the entirety of your adult life. She goes, well, that's not true. I broke up with a boyfriend, and I was single for a year. And then under the slightest bit of questioning, she goes, okay, maybe it was eight months. And then you talked to her for another 30 seconds. She's like, okay, it was three months,

but still, it was a bad breakup. So I was like, okay, well, you haven't been single. Which is fine. I'm not a passing judgment, but I'm just saying you haven't been single, and you talk a big game about being single. Yeah. I mean, we've known her through three, boyfriends. Yeah. Counting her husband. Yeah. And I don't remember her being where she wasn't dating anybody for eight months. It seemed like she met her husband a lot sooner than that in between the one guy that she used to date that we all liked. We never knew the guy that she dated the longest that she was dating before, when we first met her. I met him once, but we really didn't know him. But the other guy that she started dating after him, he would come around. He was at our events and stuff. It was really cool guy. And then they broke up, and it didn't seem like very long before this Kyle character was showing up. You remember he picked her up at the St. Patrick's Day

parade that year after we got finished? He picked her up from the parade. Yeah, because we were finished with the, we were in the parade and then we were finished, and he drove around, you know, into the back of the parade route and picked her up. Really? Because, because we remember he was driving a Kia. Because you said something about, oh, look, I never pictured Lindsay dating a Kia man or something like that. You made that. I did not 100% did not say that. He's a Kia guy. I have to love Kia's. It's a terrible thing to say. I like the Kia's too. Of course, of course. He rolls up. He says, come on Barbie, let's go party. She gets in the car and they take off and it's love after, love, love, you're happily ever after. And I don't think that was their first meeting. If so, you wouldn't want to ever tell the kids how mommy and daddy met.

You're not kidding. He just pulled up and gave me a ride. He picked me up from the parade. He said, he ain't never seen a leprechaun at 6, he is me. Yeah. He's like, hey, do you want to ride in my Kia girl? I just got off the float. Come pick me up. That's how all great love stories start when you step off the float and into your new boyfriend's car. Well, listen, I'm glad they made it work. I was just making the point that I didn't realize she had been single. And I don't think I think she wasn't being completely honest with us about it. Yeah, because it's not because she's a liar, but because she has no memory. Exactly. Got a bad memory. Coming up. If you're looking for the perfect summer shoes, just ask TJ's wife, Jody. All right, here we go. It is Friday and time to kick off the weekend. The way we always do with Riggins' funny song about what's gone on behind the scenes of the TJ and Riggins show with Lindsay and pop culture and all that stuff called Riggins Weekend Review. And this is my song. It's called The Weekend Review. It's a week's worth of shows.

Summarize for you. No special effects and no auto tune. Just me and my guitar are performing for you. I went to TJ's beautiful home on Sunday. It's ripped right out of the magazine. They have a wonderful sense of style. No cardboard cutouts to be seen. I put them away before you got here. Did you? They're all of me. I really feel like you can break down society into two groups. People with cardboard cutouts and people without cardboard cutouts. Lindsay's house is still being worked on. There's protective plastic all over the walls. Everything is dusty and all askew. A lot like Lindsay's drawers. Well, lopsided. Rose. Speaking of drawers, I'm throwing away all my underwear after summers over. I sweat a lot that much is true. And TJ, I know you love power washing. Boy, do I have a job for you? And this is my song. It's called The Weekend Review. It's a week's worth of shows. Summarize for you. No special effects and no auto tune. Just me and my guitar are performing for you.

TJ's LSU Tigers humiliated Clemson. It was almost a little mean. Despite Louisianaians being reprobate savages, they know how to run a football team. You know, I'm not even going to argue. Now the NFL season has begun. A lot of wives will start acting moody. And I think there's even a game on tonight, which you can watch on Peacock Prime plus 2B. You really got to hunt those games down. Yeah, you got to put it in the work. You do. Lindsay said she's going to the Panthers Bears game on Sunday. She's going to go there to show her support. And she's exhibited signs of CTE despite never playing the sport. And this is my song. It's called The Weekend Review. It's a week's worth of shows. Summarize for you. No special effects and no auto tune. Just me and my guitar are performing for you. How did you get a concussion? Yeah, I just, I just get them. I don't know. I didn't remember that.

Yeah. Apple introduced some brand new iPhones. The excitement. Those tech nerds felt we know our manager, Adam won't be buying one because he uses a Samsung that clips to his belt. I'm not even making that up. It's pretty bad. With a retractable antenna. It's bad. TJ asked Lindsay how to make a pumpkin spice latte. I don't have to tell you my initial thought. Lindsay don't make it very obvious, but I think TJ has been replaced with a bot. It's unexpected. It's certainly a heavy day and you can actually feel it in the air. But thanks to Toby Keith, I got a boot white and over there. And this is my song. It's called The Weekend Review. Yes. It's a week's worth of shows. Summarize for you. No special effects and no auto tune. Just me and my guitar are performing for you. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. God bless America. God bless

America. God bless our troops and God bless Toby Keith. I mean, that song still. If you listen to that song today, you're like, yes, that's what I'm talking about. Booting. You're it. Exactly. There's been a lot happening in the world. We're going to catch you up on everything you need to know coming up next. Real life, real conversations, real laughs. Sorry, I'm sniffing. I just had made a sneeze. So now I'll be snicken. Snicken. Yeah. Astonown we first started in Alexandria, Louisiana. There was a woman that would listen and call out the time her name was Sharon. She had to share him from boys. And she was like, oh, listen to me snicken. I got a call. She said that one day. So I picked it up. Is that a common phrase or is that just a her thing? No, it was just a her thing. You know, you were talking about somebody calling it. I'll just give you from my perspective. Today is obviously the 25th anniversary of 9-11. And we still get messages pretty regularly, not even in the month of September, but throughout the year. People just sharing their memories of hearing the news of 9-11 through the Aston TJ show. Yeah. Because you guys were on the air when it all happened. Are events from that day very clear to you still 25 years later? Or

is it kind of like piecemeal? Like you remember a little bit about this and a little bit about that. No, this one of the downsides of having the type of memory that I have. Where it's kind of a form of a photographic memory, but it's not that you can't control it. In other words, I can't look at calculus formulas and go, okay, let me memorize that. And then have a picture of it in my mind forever. It's more about life experiences. So I can see everything so clearly as it was happening. And I can see Angie who was on our show at the time crying, going nuts because at the time we thought they were just attacking financial centers of America. And her brothers, both of her brothers, worked at the exchange in Chicago. And so she was trying to call them to see if they were okay and they weren't answering. And she was, obviously, very anxious and crying. I can still see those TVs and what it looked like up on the

wall in the studio. So the downside of having that type of memory is that not only the bad side is that you remember the bad things so vividly as they happen to you. But yeah, every aspect of that, I remember driving back up to the suburbs to go do that dry closing on the house I was buying that day. And I remember picking up the phone and calling because the US Air was the main airline hub in Charlotte. Charlotte was the main hub for US Air. And at the time we were thinking, hey, these are American airlines that they hijacked. And that could be symbolic of America so I remember picking up my phone and calling and going, hey, have them check to see about US Air flights. If they're hijacking American planes, then US Air falls into that symbolism because of the name.

And the phone that I had at the time was, it was kind of a big phone and it was plastic, but it looked like wood grain. And I remember I can picture that phone in my hand as I'm talking back to the studio on my way up to sign the papers on my new house. Yeah. So yeah, all of it. You can remember all of it. Yeah. Did it become more, well, I don't even know how to ask that question. Did it become more heartbreaking like the next day or was it instant sort of sadness? At first, it was instant confusion and fear of what's going on. And then it became when you started hearing the stories and though, it became more heartbreaking. Yeah. All right. Hey, we got to take a break. The perfect start to the day. This is the TJ Reagan show with Lindsay. Don't let the Carolina Heat get the best of you,

TJrigans.com slash deals. You're listening to the TJ and Reagan show with Lindsay. All right. So we're talking about 9-11, just being the 20th anniversary of 9-11. And then, Reagan's was just asking me if I remember vividly what all happened through the day and I do that day. One of the things that I remember most is we had scheduled an interview with Montel Williams. No wait. Yeah, Montel Williams. Not Montel Jordan. Montel Williams. Because he was promoting some project that he had going. But we said keep keep the interview. We're going to do the interview because we knew that Montel had been in

special forces. He was a Navy SEAL, I think. One of the special forces, maybe a Ranger. I don't remember now. But we brought him on the show for his military knowledge and everything because he had served and he had dealt with Islamic terrorists and that sort of thing. So we had him on. He didn't even really promote the show that he called to promote. He just, you know, because everybody was talking about the events that we're going to. And we also interviewed Sean Hannity. We got him on our show because we have a connection to him. One of our old bosses and mentors also gave Sean his start in talk radio. So he was able, he called us the our old boss. His name's Bill. He goes, Hey, I don't know if y'all want this, but if y'all want

Sean on, I can get him. Because at that point, we were on around the clock. We didn't go off the air that morning. We continue doing the show for a couple of days. And that's why a lot of people, when they say that, Regan, that you were talking about earlier about, I just remember listening to the ACE and TJ show is the main thing I remember about 9-11 is because we were on solid for two days or more. And, you know, those types of things is, you know, when you when you have to drop the show, show part of radio as far as the entertainment part of it and then switch into the human side of it because at that point, you know, nothing else mattered in the world. Right. Do any of us, we were, we had just been attacked and we were under, you know, unknown threats. So, you know, it's not time to be funny by means or try to try to get past it. I mean, we were wanted to talk to the people

in our community. We weren't talking to the people that we live amongst. And then those types of instances, it's where, you know, it was always beneficial for us that we never established ourselves as being broadcasters or, you know, anything more than just common guys that have a job that we do that people think is kind of cool. Yeah. Because then people feel comfortable reaching out to you in those times and and crying with you on, you know, and telling you that they're scared and, you know, all of those, those kinds of things. And that's why we were on for two or three days straight. I don't even remember how long, but we did that, you know, with other things as well, you know, and raising money for disaster relief and things of that nature. But that was one of those times on 9-11 that we stayed on and it gave people kind of an outlet, you know, to express to everybody how they were feeling. Yeah. But, you know, 25 years today, the anniversary of 9-11.

BBC, which in this case stands for British broadcast company. Okay. What? Nothing. Nothing. Okay. The BBC, I think this is media mile practice for leaving out information on this story. Anyway, there was a guy who has been arrested and has been sentenced to serving 36 weeks in prison. And then I don't know what this means suspended for 18 months. Oh, having his license suspended for 18 months because he drove 150 miles while drunk one night. His he and his fiancee had

gotten into a little bit of a tiff and he took off in the car drunk and when the police pulled him over because he was swerving off through the lanes and everything, they realized that he was intoxicated. And they also realized something else. You want to know what that was, Riggins? You want to take a guess of what the other little thing that they discovered when they pulled him over other than the fact that he was drunk? No idea. He's completely blind. Oh gosh, you're kidding. Yeah. So he even stopped for gas. Wait a minute. So they and this isn't some tabloid story that you know, some kind of a joke site. That's why I wanted to let everybody know that it came from the BBC. And they did not tell how a blind man was able to drive for 150 miles even stopping for gas. They never they never brought that up in the story. 150 miles. Yeah, we need a little more information.

I'm sorry. You're right. It goes through the whole thing about what the the legal limit of blood alcohol level and all is in England and in the difference in Scotland and whatever else, but it does not say how he learned to drive or how he could drive when he's blind. Yeah, the drinking thing doesn't even matter in the story because a blind guy got in a fight and drove 150 miles stopping for gas. Yeah, I mean, it's it's a crime to be, you know, you get a DWB. You know, that that should be bad enough, but oh man. Now let me tell you something. He would go, well, I mean, he could feel the little things on the road. We on the Acenti J show years ago tried blindfold driving in the parking lot with no cars. And you had somebody telling the driver who was blindfolded, which way to turn how far to go, you know, just coaching them through. And it

was almost impossible. Yeah. It was a disaster. But imagine getting on the highway at night, because I guess it doesn't matter what time of day it is. You're blind. It's always night driving. But maybe it was better because it was at night. There wasn't as much traffic. But to be able to, and the only reason that you stopped is because the cops pulled you over. Yeah, didn't hit anything. But I don't be given him a medal is what they ought to be doing. You know, you're amazing. Get him on TV. You are amazing, sir. More TJ, Riggins and Lindsay coming up. Uh, Riggins is getting very close to putting his hands in the air as if he just doesn't care. I saw a football player raise the roof the other night. I forgot what team I was watching, but what somebody did a good play, maybe scored a touchdown, and did the old school raise in the roof, which I always hated. It was so cringed to me, even before the term cringe was popular. What? Raising the roof was the worst. I hate it. They had a moment there where everybody was raising the roof. I know. That's why I hated it. Now, I guess if I saw you doing it in a club on the dance floor to the beat, that would be one thing. But if somebody introduces you and you come out on the Jerry Springer show and you start raising the roof, that's that's where it was a little despicable. Yeah. I get that. You know, just didn't fit. What would be more embarrassing if you saw somebody in the club raising the roof or doing the old 70s like where they put the finger down in the pocket and like raise it up, you know, like disco style? I would rather see the disco thing because at least

you just look at that person go, they're trying to be funny. You think? Yeah. I'd actually want to say raising the roof or cabbage patching, which I still think brother Ace was cabbage patching until his dying day. I think so. You know, he would throw that out there. It would take him over. And he also got really offended because I remember Alexa saying like, Ace, you raised the roof. He goes, I've never raised the roof. No one time. I cabbage patch. Yeah, I can't. There's a difference. I am trying desperately because my son, you know, nobody knows this about him, but he can dance. He can learn dances. You know, you should have seen him back during the Wee days, the dance game on Wee. Yeah. I mean, he could really do the dances. He was good. I'm dying for him to learn that Louisiana jig dance. Yeah, I hate that thing because it is so crazy looking. Yeah, it's just in feet going everywhere and I know he could do it, but I want him to do it because he would slay people with laugh.

So because he does not look like a person that you would expect to jump into the Louisiana jig. If you don't know the dance, I'm talking about it is, it's crazy looking. It's nuts. But you just go juggle it. And it looks different on everybody does it. It looks different. Mm-hmm. Yeah. But it's just insane. Crazy dance. But I want him to learn it so badly because I know if he busted that out, people would laugh their heads off. It's got to be able to do it right. Yeah. You know, he needs to be able to do it, not, not do a silly version of it, but do it right. But, but coming out of him, the way he looks, you know, just regular, you know, not not highly energetic or anything like that. He's just like, you know, just a regular dude to crack into that. It would be so funny. I'm working on him though. Come on. Real life, real conversations, real lives. This is the TJ and Regan show with Lindsay. Yeah, I wish Lindsay weren't faking being sick again today because I would like to have her opinion of this next little piece of radio bit. This is a young woman who's going around on the street asking older women a question, getting their response, and the question is, do men ever change? That's the question, and this is a piece of what she's gotten.

The men ever change? Men like do they change themselves. Not for anyone. You're laughing, you're so funny, oh my. I guess this has become a joking matter. So do men ever change? The woman starts laughing and says, no, not for anybody. So what is the implication here, Regan? That men need to change and no men do because we're awful, or is it you not want them in to change? I mean, that sounds like that would be the... Well, I know, I shouldn't say that. We don't know anything beyond that clip. I know she goes around and asks that question a lot. Do men ever change? And most women say, no, now is that maybe they think men are all great and they don't need to change? You would be jumping to conclusions to say. But I think it's a safe conclusion.

To jump to most times. But this is just another example of a double standard. Men don't marry women with the idea of changing them. Far too often, women find a man and they start immediately thinking how they're going to change them. He's great, I love him. And I think I could be married to him, but he needs to change. Now, sometimes that doesn't come along until other women get in their ears. Yeah. And say whatever, you're married, whatever thing that's not perfect in your marriage, you need to try to get him to change, to make things perfect for you. And then they start getting all up in their head like he doesn't pay attention and he's not a good husband and he's not supportive and he's not that, that, that, that, that, that. And then they want to divorce. Yeah. But yeah, men don't go into a relationship thinking about how they're going to be able to

change the woman. And men don't have friends in their ear and, you know, on social media constantly telling them you need to change her to fit your needs in a perfect way that you see fit. Yeah. You know, that doesn't happen. I think that's a good point when, when they, like you just said, social media and friends in their ear because they didn't go into that relationship thinking, like, oh, I can't wait to change him. Right. That's why I've never allowed my wife to have any contact with anybody other than me. Good for you. No friends for her. Don't go anywhere. We'll find you. We have been talking about it throughout the show, and it'll be a big topic of conversation. Never forget. That's what you see all the time. I hope we heed that advice. Never forget. The victims, the families of the victims, and continue to pray for everybody that's affected. Even 25 years later, the prayers mean more now than they ever have. And somebody said never forget who did it. Somebody said that. Who said that? Some, some, I, well, listen, it was a, you know, it changed everything. It really did. It, you know, I still look at it as like a turning point, even though I was only 13 when it happened, but it did feel like it changed everything. And certainly in my life, but I know in our country as well. So, in around the world as well. So we are remembering the families, but there are, you know, there are other things happening in the world. I don't want to make it. I don't even know how to pivot well, obviously, because it is, it is what it is. But I did want to defend somebody if that's all right. Wilson

Phillips is in the news. And I don't think I've ever talked about them during now training, but they performed at the New York State Festival. And people are giving them all kind of grief, saying, oh, they don't look, you know, they look a certain way or they don't sound as good. It was like, well, they were doing their song Hold On, you know, which Lindsey loves. Yeah. Oh, women love that. All women love that song. Is that a female? One more day. Yeah. It's a good little song. And they're like, oh, they don't sound like they used to. Well, that was 40 years ago. I mean, I don't know. Yeah. I hate that. I hate whenever, um, at magazines used to do this. And I say, the, the celebrity women are unrecognizable. And then they'll show them from when they were in their 20s. And then they'll show a picture of them now. And they're 70. Well, I mean, seriously, give them a break. Give them a break. Uh, they're also, you know, clowning on Robin Thick, who also performed at the, at the State Festival. And somebody said they paid him a calls cash, which first of all, it's funny, but it's mean. And it's also, it's just as mean. I'd love to work for some calls cash. We got it.

Calls cash better than no cash. Exactly. Still spends the same way. I mean, as long as you're a calls, I guess. But listen, leave Wilson Phillips alone. Um, so that's happening. But again, today is the 25th anniversary of 9-11, um, and post about it. I think, you know, get on social media, talk about it, talk to your family about it, your friends about it. It is still important to, to make your voice heard and, and, and, and still pray. And the kids need to learn about it. Sure. They need to learn about what happened and, and why. Yeah. Yeah. So send it up prayers today. We've got more coming up next. More TJ Riggins and Lindsay coming up. Want to be part of the TJ and Riggins show? But I think I could give him a little anxious, some anxious feelings after this next little topic. The other day, I posted on social media, do any, does anybody under the age of 70 still have collections of things? Because I really do feel like that's an old person thing. And so many people responded on our Facebook page at TJRiggins show with their own collections and their ages. And I've got some pictures here I want to show you TJ. Now you don't have collections

of stuff, correct? No, I don't. I have a lot of certain items. I have a lot of ice chests, coolers when people call them, but I don't collect them. Yeah, I think a collection is meant specifically for the idea of gathering a bunch of them for that sole reason. One guy, he's 50 years old, he said, yeah, I'm 50 and I have a collection that is pretty impressive. Do you know what that is? Is some kind of figure action figures or something? Star Wars things or superhero things? You really got to zoom in, but it's Masters of the Universe, which is he man. Yeah. And there was just a new movie, Masters of the Universe. He's got figurines and comic books and it looks like the whole room is dedicated to that shelves and shelves and shelves of Florida, seal. Yes. Wow. That was one of them. One person said, oh, yeah, I collect go carts. I actually have my own

private go cart track in our backyard and people can race on it by invitation only for professional backyard go cart drivers. Man, if brother Ace was still alive, he would not rest until he contacted those people and ask if he could come do that. Please. I mean, he would be all over it. How do I get an invitation? Let me come out there. I'm free this afternoon. I think it's called Midland Raceway. If you're interested, but yeah, that was on our Facebook page. And we've also got an assortment of mini figurines, things that I've never even heard of. These are called woodland miniatures, I think. They're like little porcelain things are, you know, ceramic. I'm not sure. Yeah, little ceramic. Yeah, it's crazy. Yeah. A lot of them. A lot of people jumped in the comments saying, no, all that I hear about this is this is just dust collectors like this gives me anxiety. Yeah, it's not nice. It's not nice, but is it true?

No. No. One man's dust catcher is another person's art. Good point. The perfect start to the day. This is the TJ Anorigen show with Lindsay.
