Tina McMenamin

About this episode

In 1995, 18-year-old Tina McMenamin was a college student at the University of Nebraska. She was living in an apartment with her childhood friend, going to school, and working at Godfather's pizza. On Tuesday, July 25th of that year, Tina failed to show up for her shift at work and was later found dead inside her apartment by her roommate. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the murder of Tina McMenamin. The investigators determined that the window for Tina's killer to strike was a very small one. But, they could not piece together a motive or zero in on the perpetrator. Based on DNA results in 1996, which could only limit the pool of suspects down a small degree, the police arrested a man named Gregory Gabel. Gabel had been diagnosed with schizophrenia and did have a history of being inappropriate with women. But, was he Tina's killer? Or did the police develop tunnel vision when it came to Gregory Gabel even when many signs pointed away from him?
