Time Well Spent Bible study with Cornelius F. Warren

About this episode

The Apostle Peter writes to scattered Jewish Christians who were undergoing intense persecution for their faith. He reminds his readers that “God … has given us the privilege of being born again” (1 Peter 1: 3). Therefore they should not be surprised when suffering comes their way; they should expect it, prepare for it, and respond to it correctly. Peter also encourages them to imitate Christ through a submissive spirit toward one another. If they do, God will richly reward them when the trials of life are over. There's no greater joy, no greater privilege than knowing you're God's own possession because He chose you by sovereign election and paid the price for you through the sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ! Because of your union with Christ, you’re a member of the priesthood of all believers. You have the honor of offering sacrifices of gratitude to God for the redemptive work of Christ. And you're to express your gratitude with your lips, your labor and your life. The theme of verse 4-10 is spiritual privileges. Join Pastor Warren as he focuses on what is yours because you belong to Christ.Call (917) 889-9158
