Raheem, let's start with you. And let's start with this Houston Illinois game. It just concluded. Good times, except for Houston, they scored 55 points. If you would have had Houston as the lowest scoring team today, what does that pay? Like 10 to 1? Probably. It's well up to 1 somewhere in that. I know you like them. It plus 700 to win the whole thing. You don't like them anymore, do you? Yeah, I don't like them anymore. I mean, just watching this team. I checked the bot score at halftime. They were shooting 27%. It was just a brick fest out there. I have just never seen anything like that. I just feel so bad for Kevin Samson. Like, yeah, just what do you do? Yeah. Recruit a better team that can make four shots. I mean, last year, last year was their team. That was their best team, by far, the best shot making they had. Yep. And they had the title in their hands and they watched the last minute. They have no post-presidents.

3:03Like, they have no Johan Roberts. They have nobody they really can go to when they're not making shots. They kind of like saved them. And that's what the problem with this Houston team this year. They're just like, if they're not making shots, they have no safety valve. And they don't have that, they have no justice. Well, like, you know, I'm the NBA guy. But just watching this offense, it just didn't feel very sophisticated. It felt like you got the guy. But that's a Samson team in general. Like they're not always running like very sophisticated sets. Like you want some more ball movement, some like a little bit more creation. And I just saw kids then framing out there trying to do different things. And it's just like it feels like if they can't score an isolation, they can't score. And 22 for 64 is not going to get it done in any of these games, right? Right. And then you add to it like we were watching and you know, these games, okay, you're down 12. We saw a 12 point margins overcome in this kind of game. 12 points was like a 13 possession. That was half of a half. Yeah. You only had 22 in the first half. And Illinois tried to give them a chance, you know what I mean? That was the other part of it. I missed four free throws down the stretch there. Yeah. They got it to nine. Houston had a chance to get the rebound.

4:04They've fumbled it and then Illinois hits back to back three. It's games over. All right. So we're being close your eyes for a second. The bundle high five here. We did it. What fist bump we did? Illinois. Illinois. And we do. Illinois. The whole thing we do. This is the rare time that they beat me this year. Yeah. Yeah. Doesn't happen much. Yeah. I look over him. Like why are you betting against us? This is the no pass line again. Again, he's doing it to us. But yeah, you're right. This is one of the very few times. It worked out for us. You know what's going to happen now, right? Illinois. What are they five point favorites against Iowa? So five points against Iowa. We said, Iowa 45 to one to win the title, by the way. Yeah. Halfway there. Should we talk about that game now? Iowa and Nebraska. I didn't have high hopes for that. You know, we talked about. All right. The winner of this game. I think Illinois was plus 240 to win the final four before today. Houston was plus 105. Just take that team. Is that you still feel the same after watching that Iowa Nebraska game? Take that. Illinois is going to win. It does feel like Brad Underwood. You know, he's been kind of knocking on the door to get through. And now he goes up against an Iowa team.

5:05He's going to be a heavy favorite. A lot of pressure on the Illinois team. Also a team that they have faced in the big 10. They know very well. Very familiar. And there's no pressure on Iowa. And it does feel like one of those games where Illinois don't get too high. Because this is a classic game where Bid McCollum could do a master class coaching job. And I would be very concerned just about that angle. That angle, but obviously Illinois is a much better team. We said this was basically a de facto elite eight game. Whoever won Houston or Illinois should have a clear path to the final four. But I would be a big concern that we're going to go too hard in that direction. And that gives Iowa a good chance. Interesting. Okay. And that gives them a good chance. I'm looking at Bennett Sturts. It was garbage despite the fact that they. It's not played great in the tournament. It's been bad. Oh, there's 20 points. It's nice. You need that from him to win seven. Not efficient. No. 71. So what was your takeaway from this game? This was one of those games where the underdog came back. You know, there were only a couple point underdog. But they were down what 10 or 12 at least in Nebraska. They were down 12 early. I don't know if you saw. My advice is for Nebraska to have all five players on the court.

6:05Yeah, they only have four. They only have four. Yeah. It was actually confused by that as well. Which is not good. Tough. I mean, we like McCollum. We think he's a great coach. They play a style that could make them a good upset potential. But the difference in firepower between Illinois and Iowa is very, very big. Yeah. Illinois has probably four of the five, maybe five of the six best scores in the game. Yep. So it feels very uphill. But again, we've seen Illinois go bozo before. Yeah. Well, four and a half point favorite could lose easily. Yeah. As we've seen. Well, it's up to six and a half at this point. Is it real? And there's going to be a lot of weight. Wow. Yeah. What were you impressed at all with Iowa's game today? Where they came back? Well, I mean, I was impressed with just the offenses in that game. I mean, the first half, both teams were shooting 60%. That was fun. It just felt like nobody would miss. And in the second half, I mean, obviously Iowa, they fought their way back. And Nebraska cooled off. But I mean, I think, you know, to be able to slow down a team that's been shooting 60% in the first half, I think you got to get credit to Iowa.

7:05Yeah, 13 for 38 from three. Nebraska was couldn't get back in. But yeah, great job by Iowa. My god, Tate. How did they do it? Well, I mean, it's one of those things where Iowa just kind of had to hang around because Nebraska was so hot from the start, especially from the outside. That's what they do. And the 13 for 38's a little bit warped because they took like what? One possession into the game like five different three. I wasn't hard on them. It was very strange. They were just letting them launch and they kept missing over and over and over again. They went one for 10 in the last four minutes of the game. Yeah. All right. So the blowout. We'll get to the good game. The blowout. Another blowout. Arizona 109 88 over Arkansas. I said to Raheem, I said, Raheem, if you could have got, if I would have told you this morning, Arkansas is going to score 88 points and you were getting seven and a half, eight and a half. How much would you have put on it? And he started listing all his, all his houses, all his houses. Yeah, right. A lot of real estate. It was a really old house. Yes, yes. I would have definitely had Arkansas. And it sucks a little bit tape because Acuff is out now and we're running out of, well, we're running out of marquee players for the average fan who we want to stay interested in this tournament.

8:08Well, I think Braden Burries is the new, you know, they, they just kind of swapped over and they moved over. They bill was texting about Braden Burries. So that's good that he's moved on from Acuff. That's a, that's a big win there. And this Arizona team, honestly, has been so incredible throughout the entire season. I mean, their two losses are very explainable losses. And, you know, one is at Allen Field House, which is an impossible place on a Monday night. Nobody wins there. Nobody wins there. Nobody wins there. So they're all kind of right off games. And when you watch Arizona here, you kind of see just how they beat you in waves. And like every single time that Arkansas had a highlight moment where you're like, okay, this might swing Uncle Mo in the right direction for Arkansas. They just answer immediately. And there's no real time for you to kind of get your footing and feel like you're in the game. And I think it's a special quality. And, you know, Tommy Lloyd's is a lot swirling about him, potentially going to North Carolina, and all these different things that are going on. But this team is focused. They have a singular focus. And I think this is a very, very good Arizona team. And I feel like Michigan's going to respond to what Arizona did. We were talking to Bundo and I about like Michigan's probably seeing that and saying,

9:08that's the kind of game statement game we want to send. You heard them say that. Yeah. We're listening. We were tapped in. You don't know. It's a dusty man. I'm like, dusty. Do you see this game? But yeah, Tommy Lloyd's Arizona team just really impressive. And tonight they look like the best team in the country. All right. Yeah. I mean, I came into the tournament feeling like there was a top three. We've gone back and forth on who the best of the three might be. Duke Michigan, Arizona. Arkansas and Alabama are a very similar teams. They profile the same. They like to run. They like to play fast. They got the lead guard who's going to be in the NBA. Right. Who, you know, the NBA people. A cup. They love them. A cup. Five on. Everybody gets excited. Yeah. And it was just layout lines. They could throw dumpins to the bigs. Yep. They were throwing all the ups to each other back and forth. Blocking shots. Color Pete. A walk. Yeah. Barys 23. Color Pete. 21. I had him. What did I say? 15 plus for Color Pete. So that one. Those are two freshmen that the NBA guys can get behind. When Barys is making three is two. And forget it.

10:08I mean, they are. But like this. They are the best team in the country. Was that the best ass kicking. Raheem in the tournament based on. One good team beat. A great team beating. A good team. Oh, yeah. By far. It never felt like a game. Right. I mean, you're watching it. And it's like. Arons are doing good things. But I mean, it's still a double digit deficit. So at the end of the day, it's just like they just had nothing for them. And it's like. The thing I find interesting is that you're looking at the national championship. And Arizona's plus 260. Wow. How do you guys feel about that? I mean, I was Michigan. I mean, Michigan is plus 340. You still have a game. There's a way. I win them all. Yeah. It's plus 380. Right. So Michigan came in today as the favorite slice. I'll. I'll. Over those teams. So even Vegas is confused as to who's the best. Don't say. Don't. Fandals. Yeah. Yeah. But what's happening here? We're all trying to figure it out. And I think the fascinating part. And we were talking about this. It's like Duke has such a great draw because they basically get to, you know, juggernaut programs. I don't have to. Someone's going to have to die along the way. And then they're going to get kind of a team that got beat up by another great team.

11:10And they. To me, I feel like Duke has the best odds because of that. Really? Okay. I mean, Arizona just looks on beat. I mean, really? You're right. It was like, it was 16-11. And I'm like, oh, Arkansas can't hang with this pace. And then I'm like, oh, but this is Arkansas. This is how they have to do it. And they're like, I think when we talk about Alabama, too. And we'll get into Alabama, Michigan. Alabama only plays one speed. And you'd almost rather a team come in and say, like, maybe we can get them in the half court and try to win that way. Because you're just running into into brick walls at the rim. I mean, they're Michigan is so big. Yeah. It's not a great matchup. And eight-cuff with 28. You would have taken that. Yeah. I mean, you got a lot of garbage. You saw that line. You're like, man, eight-cuff at 28. They probably had a chance. You saw the ton of points. Yeah. They were getting a ton of points. And they got beat by that. They never had a chance of covering it. Yeah. Our friend Eli was talking. He's like, oh, should I lie, bet Arkansas? I was like, no, dude. Every time he lied, bet Arkansas plus 30. Yeah. Yeah, no kidding. Then they could have like a three-flagor in technical fows in the last five minutes, too.

12:11All right. So the best game of the night, I'm a terrible host. So I didn't lead with that. But it's Purdue winning 79-77 over Texas. Texas would not go away. It was a close game at half. Texas took the lead at one point. They were making threes when they needed to. They were shooting out of their minds. And then Purdue played defense. The right guys fouled out. Were you less impressed with Purdue? You kind of thought, Tate, that this would be a double-digit game. I know I did. Yeah, I thought Texas showed a lot of this game. And I think honestly, you know, Texas defense was a little bit better than you would suspect. And Purdue, the physicality of Texas kind of got under them a little bit. And Cam Heidi, who was a former Purdue guy, had a nice kind of back and forth with Trey Kaufman-Rin in that game TKR. And that was also a fascinating kind of game within the game there. And this Purdue team, I was impressed that they were able to find a way to win this game. I was sort of excited about the idea of Sean Miller with Texas, a guy who was at Arizona that could never make the final four. Going up against Arizona in the elite eight, going for the final four.

13:12That had been a great storyline. But yeah, Purdue just found a way. Matt Painter, again, just gets it done. And I know Harry hates to hear that. The friend Harry hates it a lot. He keeps moving the goalposts. Yeah, we don't understand. Get to the final four, and we'll talk. What did Matt Painter do? He's got a pro. He had a seven-foot pro. Harry, you don't see him here, right? But what your lawyer, honestly, has been such a swing factor for this team. Like, when you have Fletcher lawyer who can hit from the outside, he's turned into a sort of a specialist for them, even though he can do more things and just hit threes. But he was the real difference maker set the tone of this game. Obviously, they weren't hot from the outside. But to win without shooting well, that's a nice thing to have in your back pocket. I actually think I learned a lot about Purdue and like what I learned about Purdue. Because they shot 58% from three in the first two rounds. That was not going to continue. Not even close. Could Purdue win if they didn't make their threes? They had a great offensive game overall. 1.3 points per possession is a very good offensive game. And they only made four threes. They were four for 20 from deep.

14:12Texas reigning threes all night. And they still held on. That's an impressive win. It's also good to be tested, you know. Going up against Arizona. Well, different beats. Maybe a bit of an issue, yeah. I mean, you got a bunch of Traymon marks on that team. What did Mark have? 29? Another one, like a great player. Yeah. That puts up a giant number. What was your impression of that game, Marine? Yeah, I think Traymon marks. I mean, he did everything that you could ask a star player to do. He used to transfer every single shot. I think watching that game, it felt like Texas should have won. A little bit. You look at Purdue. They go four for 20 from three. Good. And if you look at Texas, they lost this game by two, but they missed seven free throws. Yep. And, you know, my ties. I can't pronounce his last name. I'm not even going to cry. Vokititis. But it takes me getting so much mileage out of that nickname. I love the Vokititis. Is it the Vokitititis? Yeah, the sandwich. Yeah. Tate, would you shoot today on the go? But they had it. 71. They have a low park. I mean, if you look at Texas, I think it was two minutes to go, three minutes to go. Yeah. They had a chance to go up to.

15:12Yeah. And modest misses two, two free throws. And they never have the lead again for the rest of that game. And I think that once Purdue got the lead in the last three minutes of the game, it just felt like it was theirs. And they were never going to relinquish control. But I felt like Texas was the better team today. Well, Purdue did foul up three. Like we were saying. They did. And one. Yeah. I've had a lot of dumb teams. I really did. Vokititis. Vokititis. Versus Kloff. That was an old school matchup. Those guys were throwing haymakers. And obviously like Vokititis being so tired because we didn't even have a timeout or any stoppage in the game until the 11 minute. Yeah, that was nuts. You know what I mean? Like he was worn out. It felt like for the rest of the game. He fought hard. But I think that kind of led to the free throws that you're talking about. So little things in the game. And then the fact that he was in foul trouble for big parts in that second half. And I think that allowed Purdue to really stay in the game. They don't like it. They could get any. I feel like Texas was going to just take over this game and win. And you know, one other thing I want to add is that. Texas didn't have a big in at the end of the game.

16:12No, tipping. And I think that's what cost them. Yep. Trakeoff and Red. Interesting. Yeah. You found all those guys out or put them in trouble. For sure. Survivor pools. Survivor events. Yeah. By the way, that's off though to Texas. So that was four games in seven nights. Right. I had to play the play-in that I get there. So they're trying to be the third team to go from the first four to the final four. Right. And the first two. VCU. Go. 2011. Yeah. 2021. You see what I mean when I say he knows everything. You see it like the best free throw defense in college basketball history. All right. Don't try to overshot. And I just said I was the best. Free throw defense. Yeah. Alabama mission. Everybody missed all their free throws. That whole tournament. It was amazing. Let's do these. Friday games. The big one. The marquee matchup. Duke six and a half. Over St. John's. They're big favorite. The ticket price has gone down for that. No. They're gone up. Joe House said he was going to try to get someone to invite him to the game. I don't know. We need an update on that. We got money that Joe House knows. Joe House. Get in the game. He'll get there.

17:13He'll get a personal invite. He'll be in the suite. Oh yeah. Can I. Do I sound like an A-hole when I say? I don't want to say I lost respect for Patino. I must be the only idiot on the planet. That sees what St. John's did against Kansas. Now, grant that they should have won. They had the big lead and everything. But the way they actually won. Given it to Rudy approaches the coach. This hard headed coach who doesn't take. It's a Disney movie. Chip from anybody. Right. And it's like, I want the ball. And you're like, okay, but you haven't made a shot. I'll give you. It's like, no, I'm taking the ball. Gary Cole is Rick Patino. Yeah. I'm not turning around to hear your answer either. I'm going in there. I know I averaged seven a game. I know I'm going to have to. Beat the best player in college basketball to the rim. But I'm doing it. And he does it. It's like, well, I gave the kid a chance. For that reason alone, I think Duke's going to cover. Yeah. I think Duke is. This is going to be a tough game for St. John's. I am trying to talk myself into the ways that St. John's can make this a game. I do think Dylan Mitchell versus Cam Boosler is going to be a great storyline in this game. I think Rick Patino is going to try to do a lot of different things.

18:14Whether he doubles Boosler on the catch, doubles Boosler, you know. Different, different points parts of the game. Like he doesn't start doubling him. Whatever it is. And honestly, Boosler has handled double teams better than anybody. I think he's going to pick him up full court sometimes. I think there's going to be a lot of little things that he tries to do to throw him off his spot. And, you know, Cam Boosler is the backup point guard now because obviously Caleb Foster is out. So that's another wrinkle in this game. But it is one of those games where I think Duke is flipped the switch against TCU in the last 15 minutes. That was like the Duke team that we've seen all season long. So I do think that that's going to just continue on until the final. Could Johnny's press them? Though they will. Yeah. They will. I mean, Katie Boosler getting pressed by them will be the real story. Yeah. And if Cam Boosler has to bring the ball up and initiate and get pressed, he's shown some moments where he can get flustered in that. So like that will be sort of a storyline there. But I do think that Duke will handle this team. Two losses by a combined four points. Duke, that now that doesn't help you lay the six and a half. But this might.

19:14Non-conference losses for St. John's Auburn, Alabama, Kentucky, all by more than seven points. I'm taking them. I might be spiteful. God, I wish I could just sit back and watch this. I'm so many decades removed from sitting back and watching a great game without having any money on it, Raheem. I'll never get back. But you don't have to bet a side. I mean, fortunately, a partner is that Fandall. Yeah. They allow you to bet props. They allow you to bet totals. Right. I mean, you can even bet the next basket. What? Really? Yeah. This is a pro. We'll tell you some books. You can bet fake games now. You saw that. Yeah. There's a lot of fake games being bet. I'm laying the six and a half. You're doing something a little more courageous. What do you got? Yeah. I'm going to go first half under 66 and a half. I mean, you got top two top 10 defenses. And you've seen steam to the under on the full game total. But I mean, I know you watching those games tonight, you're probably scared to go under because I mean, some of the offensive. I was going to ask. How many of the first half unders? Well, there it is. I mean, Illinois, Houston had to be an under. That was.

20:14Yeah. Yeah, that was on. I mean, three and one to the overtime. We got to address this. What's going on with Houston teams with good defenses and bad offices? Right. You see what the Houston. Oh, interesting. Yeah. You see it with the Houston right? What's in the water in Houston? I don't know. Houston, we have a problem. I will say Houston Astros last year. Excellent defense. Struggle to score. Wow. All right. Maybe they should hold a clinic or something. I don't know. Hit us more on the other. So under first half? Yeah, under first half. I like first half under 66 and a half. Like I said, you got two top 10. I see it. 33, 27, dude. I don't think you're going to get a lot of offices. And you already mentioned cable posters out. So I like this one. I think you get a slow start. I'm with you. Both that court. I think struggle offensively in this game. I like the full game under. We talked about a Monday and then Wednesday. And then now we're talking about it again. I still like it. My prime, my favorite bet of the round overall was the under in that game. 142. I think the pressure could slow Duke down. I think it would force them to play slower than they want to. And Johnny says it's going to be able to run. Duke's a top five transition defense.

21:14So. And Duke last time they were in DC was against Michigan. And they turned the dial down tempo wise. I think they tried to do the same thing to the Johnny's playing the half court. And in shy or second half unders since he took over a Duke have been a cash can. Look at you. One of my one of my favorite things is about first half unders. Particularly. I don't want to hear about your vices here. Okay. Should we do our new pit? Yeah. There's something I realized. And I got to shout out. Haral about this is that. Oh, he's. Offense. Offense. It's much more efficient. When you're playing in front of your. Your teams. Your team. Yeah. So a lot of times you'll see more second half. Overs in college basketball because in the first half. You're always playing in front of the opposing. Team. Not John. Yeah. I forgot. You know what I just remembered Houston was home for that game. Yeah. It was a lot of noise. It was very. Very. They're pretty quiet. Rock is crap. Yeah. I know. I know. I know. I know. I got hurt the Nebraska fans.

22:14I feel like that's why people bet them. That's why it moved from two to a half to three and a half. I got to make sense. Yeah. Not one person got out of their seat. All right. Here's a great game that I feel somehow. Is getting undervalued. Should you call. Over under reaction. You con Michigan station to be talking about more tape. You kind of wanted to have point favorite. Yeah. This is a game. I talked about it. And I was leaning towards a Michigan state. Then the. The wonder. I got beef with tape that I talked to. I talked to myself. It happened here. What. What. So Tate and I do the college hoop show on Tuesday. Right. We talked about the game. I'm all excited because we agree. Michigan state. Yeah. Michigan state. So then I see a tweet from Zach Lowe that Tate went on. And I'm like, you know what? I'm going to support Tate. I'm going to skip to the. The Tate episode. I'm going to. Strong. Strong 25 minutes showing. Yeah. And it was a great segment. And at the very end. You kind of Michigan state toward the very end. Yeah. Yeah. And Tate goes. Yeah. I think the Huskies are going to get it done. Wow. You heard it was funny about this. And the reason I was telling the bundle. It's like going on all these radio stations. Yeah. In the week. Right. Like, you know, they're popular.

23:14We get Nebraska. Like, come on. Yeah. You know, whatever. Like all these different. I would say all these places. Come on. Lie to us. Yeah. Seattle. Toronto. What are all these different places. Right. You go on and like, you kind of know the team that they're rooting for. You have a great team and you can say, uh, here's how they can make a run of the Final Four. And then like, so I'm doing that. Like I go in Iowa City. I'm like, here's how I will go in. I can see it happening. I go in the breath. So then you get lost in your own mind of like, What if I even, I don't even know what I picked because. It's kind of. I've been. I've been this. I was whirlwinded, and just giving people what they want to hear. And then Zach's like, God, I like you kind of think I'm like, Yeah. I like the Huskies, you know. So I got baited by my radio brain. And then debundo's mad at me because he's like, we were all on sparty. You know what I do like the Spartans. I am a mission. Okay. Okay. So we we now have him right he's picked both sides. Yes Take who you got tomorrow? I like the Spartans. Yeah, sorry. We're back. We got him back Let's go play both sides. I want to stick up for Tate here.
