Hello everyone, I have a very special announcement. This is for anyone who's looking for friends and community during the navigation of their faith crisis and or anyone who wants to meet some of the most amazing influencers or scholars out there, including Alyssa Grenfell, Britt Hartley or Dr. John Turner, historian of the Joseph Smith and Brigham Young podcast. I am announcing four thrive events, one in Rexberg Idaho, one in San Antonio, Texas, one in Boise, Idaho, and one in St. George. Over the next few months, Rexberg is just a week away, basically. And I want to make sure you all know about it because so many of you say, John, you know, I want to go to one of these thrive events, but I never know about them in advance. Well, this is your chance. So if I can just share with you now the four events, if you go to thrive beyond religion.com, you can see the four events, Rexberg, San Antonio, Boise in St. George. And I'm
going to now tell you about each one. The first one is this upcoming weekend. It's Friday, September 18th. That's it's a meet and greet on that Friday. And then the next day, there's going to be several speakers, Nan Osborne, Erica Norfeld, Renee Patterson, Peterson, and the keynote speaker is Britt Hartley of No Nonsense Spirituality. And I should say it's the first thrive we've ever held in Rexberg Idaho. This is a dream of mine. And again, these thrive events are all about healing and growth after Mormonism and or after a high demand religion. So if you're looking for friends in Rexberg or the surrounding community, if you're looking for community, or if you just want to realize you're not alone, you're not crazy, get tips and tricks for navigating your faith crisis, and or meet some really cool people, including these. That's Rexberg. The next event that I want
to tell you about is San Antonio thrive. That is Saturday, September 26th. It's only $25 to attend. And the elicit grandpew will be there. Also Nathan Hinckley, he's amazing singer, former bishop, Megan O'Connor. She's amazing personal friend of mine, Albert Fish. I don't know who he is, but they don't pick dummies for these thrive events. And our own Megan Hayes from generally unquodable, and the Mormon News podcast is going to be there as well. So that's an amazing, again, it's only 25 bucks Saturday, September, September 26th in San Antonio. Then there is Boise Thrive, which is October 4th, 2026. Again, it's only 29 bucks. It includes lunch. That's going to have Dr. John Turner, professor of history at George Mason University. And he's
the author of Joseph Smith, the rising Paul of the American Prophet and Brigham Young Pioneer Prophet. And the co-host of the Joseph Smith podcast and the Brigham Young podcast with me, they're flying him out to keynote thrive Boise. They're also going to have Amy Farger, who looks like or Farger, I don't know how to pronounce her name, looks like she's a therapist. And then our own Colby Reddish from LDS Discussions, he's amazing. And then Andrew Probst, he is also a friend, a philanthropist, and he's, you know, one of the leaders in the Boise community, looks like Andrew's speaking as well. He's also a fellow rush fan. And the final event, a thrive that I want to speak to about as a bit away, but it's the biggest one. It's March 5th to 7th, 2027. Mark your calendars. It's a three-day thing. It's at the Dixie Convention Center in St. George. And the speakers are Michael Foley. He's hilarious. He's known as Bishop Mikey, I think, on Instagram and TikTok.
Chris Bartlett, who's a notable actor, I believe he was in the, oh, what's the series with Boba Fett, Disney, you know what I'm talking about, I'm spacing on it. Anyway, actor Chris Bartlett, also Sally Osborne. She is a therapist, and she's been a Mormon story along with Lena Osborne. Sally and Lena were in a documentary about their love story. Colby Redis just speaking at St. George's thrive as well. Dr. Christine Marie, she was in that recent Netflix documentary about polygamy, along with Nomes, Bistline, and then Dr. John Lundwahl, who's been on Mormon stories before, and of course Dr. Julie Diaz-Evado. Those are the speakers that say George's thrive. It's only 45 bucks for the whole weekend. Anyway, these are the four thrive events that are coming soon. You can register at thrivebeyondreligion.com, and again, they're priced just to pay for the venue
and food. Usually between 25 and 35 bucks, you'll meet amazing friends, amazing community, amazing speakers, and for some people, it'll change their life. So please check out thrive. I hope you enjoy it, and we hope to see you at one of these events. If you're interested in organizing your own thrive, you can email thrivebeyondreligion.gmail.com or me at MormonStoriesAtGmail.com, and we can help you organize a thrive in your area as well. But hopefully you can make one or more of these thrives. Anyway, hope you can make it. Hope you're doing well. We hope you value these thrive events, and let's do more in the weeks and months and years ahead. Thanks everybody, and we'll see you all again soon at thrive, and in another Mormon Stories podcast episode. Take care.
