Amala Ekpunobi — This Isn’t Feminism. You Just Hate Men.. Machine-transcribed; use the interactive transcript above to jump the player to any line.
When a man around you tells a joke or makes people laugh, turn to a friend, a woman, obviously, and say, see, men can be funny sometimes. Ha, ha, ha, ha. Implementing these words. Mantrum, he emotional, and testarical. Testarical might be the one who are here. Ha, ha, ha. Okay, guys. Today we're diving into the world of micro feminism. I just found out about this. You're gonna find out about it, too. And it is as ridiculous as it sounds. Let's talk about it. Yeah, you better. Yeah, you better. Yeah, you better. Guys, before we get into today's video, please like and subscribe today. We're gonna be getting into the world of micro feminism. Taylor sent me a video on this. I had never heard of it. Turns out there's an entire world of these micro feminists. Now, for those of you who don't know what micro feminism is, Google says it is the practice of small, everyday, intentional actions taken to challenge gender inequalities, break stereotypes, and uplift women, particularly in male-dominated spaces. This originated on TikTok in 2024 because, of course,
and it aims to incrementally change patriarchal norms through subtle shifts in behavior, language, and workplace dynamics. So these are little things that you could be doing, I guess, as a modern day feminist in your life to equal the playing field among men and women. Now, we're gonna get into these videos because women are luckily making videos on acts of micro feminism that you can bring into your daily life to equal the playing field. And we're gonna see if that's exactly what they're achieving, or if it's something else. Let's watch video number one on acts of micro feminism. I've been making a list of acts of micro feminism to use an everyday life. You guys really love the first video, so let's do a part two. When a man says, you should smile more. You say, you first, and then when they smile, you say, good boy, with a straight face and walk away. When someone says something positive about a man, you say, not all men. When a man around you tells a joke or makes people laugh, turn to a friend, a woman, obviously, and say, see, men can be funny sometimes. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. Implementing these words.
Mantrum, he emotional, and testarical. Testarical might be the winner here. Ha, ha, ha, ha. Greetings. This is so funny, guys. We're really getting the men back with this one and fighting the patriarchy with these acts of micro feminism. Plus, it's hilarious. Cue the forced. I made a forced laughter all throughout this video. The forced laughter is really an indicator of where we are with this particular mindset. You have to be forcing this in your daily life. It is not natural. It's certainly not funny, and it's not amusing. But go off this. We're really getting the men back with this one. Well, as hello ladies and children of ladies. Similarly, instead of saying, hey guys, say, hey girls or hey gals, men are going to love that one. Always assume someone in authority or who's professional is a woman. Dr. Coach, boss, supervisor, a woman, every time. Refer to God as a woman, like use feminine pronouns for God. This is a triple whammy because you're going to piss off the Christian nationalists, the sexists, and the women who are heavily steeped in internalized misogyny.
What else you guys got? I'm loving this. OK. This just seems more like a crash course on how to be the most inseparable person in the room, rather than anything to do with feminism. Because if we really want to get into feminism, we should be talking about equality. And this is my no means a message of equality. It just seems like a sort of basis attempt at trying to piss off the men around you. And I don't think that any of these things would actually work. I can't really see somebody being super upset by the things she's saying in this video. Although that seems to be her intent is to upset and offend the individual on the other end of this interaction. If you want to call that micro feminism, you can call it that, but it certainly has nothing to do with the feminist narrative. If anything, it's misandry. You want to bring down men. You're trying to demean them. You're trying to insult them in your daily life. And we'll get into the idea that that's centering men in your daily life. You're, in fact, making your entire life about the men around you, which isn't very feminist at all.
Luckily, she's made other videos. OK. Here's another one where she's teaching people different acts of micro feminism they can bring into their life. Making a list of acts of micro feminism, part three. If I'm honest here, I hate you. Just say to him, I'm sorry. I don't have any change. If you're making a phone call or a house call, saying, can I talk to the woman of the house of a man answers? If you take the tips from my last video and switch to saying, hey, gals, hey, girls, instead of, hey, guys, if a man takes offense to that, you can just say, you know what? I'm really sorry. I didn't realize that your masculinity was so fragile. Can you imagine just planning for different offensive interactions in your life and giving people tips and tricks on how to respond to situations in particular ways where you're trying to piss somebody off? It's such a weird way to be spending your time. And again, it is centering men. These are so often the women who say they're taking their male centeredness out of their life. They're trying to stay away from men. They don't want masculinity or patriarchy to influence them in any particular way. I can't think of anything really more patriarchal,
ironically, than this woman centering men and their reactions and how they respond to things in every single thing that she does on a macro level and as she so clearly states in this video, on a micro level, meaning you're allowing men to infiltrate even the minutiae of your life in every single way that you communicate with a person of the opposite sex. Weird, weird. When you see a man wearing a sports jersey, tell them you absolutely love their costume and then ask who their cause playing as today. You love that one. And then tack on, I'm honestly so glad that people are still in the men's sports. Good for you. My personal favorite that I do all the time when a man is mentioned saying why would a man be there? Because actually, why would a man be there? What's she using women's names to do the phonetic alphabet? For example, here's a message to all mega men. S as in Suzanne. T as in Trisha. F as in Francesca. U as in Ursula. I honestly have an endless supply of these. Part four will be coming soon.
It's very interesting because I don't even see any of these acts bothering men. You let me know if you're a man watching right now, would a woman doing any of this in front of you actually bother you in any way, shape or form? I feel like it would just be a thing where you go. That's weird. Anyways, moving on with the conversation. I don't see this moving the needle whatsoever. In fact, this is just a feminist perception of how men move through the world and I don't think the vast majority of men, particularly in the West, think like this in any way, shape or form. And thus would not be offended by these little micro acts of feminism as you call them. But there's a whole world of women who are engaging in this and teaching other women. They are acts of micro feminism that they have in their daily lives. We're going to move on to another TikTok. This girl writes my favorite forms of micro feminism at work. Number one, wearing platforms or heels every day despite being five-nine. It means most men have to look up at me. Okay. I mean, who gives a sh** cares? Another one, continuing to speak.
Even if a man speaks over me, I will finish my sentence. Even if it means we have to speak at the same time for 30 seconds, this forces them to wait as you're not giving into their intimidation. Sometimes people just speak over each other. And sure, keep speaking in order to make your point if that's what you want to do. This is not an act of feminism. You're not a warrior. You're not an activist. You're not really changing the dynamics of your workplace. Let's be honest. But I think this is a way for these women who are possessed by these ideas of modern feminism, which is really just misandry at this point. It's a way for them to feel like they're achieving something in their daily lives. It's a way for them to feel revolutionary or like activists. When in reality, you're just going to your nine to five. You're clocking in like everybody else and you're living your life just like everybody else, except you are centering men and constantly thinking about men in every single thing that you do, which is not normal. It's not normal. Okay, she continues to write, not being overly friendly during communication and not apologizing unless it's actually needed.
You don't need an exclamation point or a smiley face in every message. Not praising men for doing the bare minimum or being overly grateful when they simply do their jobs. Using typically girly colors to highlight work and as backgrounds on slide shows, signing up to lead sports events and not allowing any sport that excludes women or any gender. If it makes you feel like you're doing something, ladies, sure. It's so interesting because these women are sitting on these things. They're ruminating on them. They're making lists on how other women can implement this in their daily lives. And if you are a man or a woman or anybody who's experiencing these things on the other end of these actions, you're not noticing this. No man cares that he's looking up to you because you're wearing heels. No man cares that your work doc has pink and purple highlights on it. No man cares that you're offering to lead the sporting events at their job. They don't care. And interestingly enough, if this is the feminist struggle of the modern day woman, and this is how you're fighting back against patriarchy,
we're doing pretty good. It seems like equality has been established. If your view of feminism is evening the playing field with different colors at work and leading sports teams and demeaning men whenever you can and getting ahead of their jokes or calling them unfunny, you're doing pretty good. I think we're equal now. But wait, if you call now, there's more. Let's watch another video on micro feminism. My favorite form of micro feminism. What's yours? I'm so glad you asked because I actually do participate in a lot of micro feminism, especially at work. I find in general at work that I'm not interrupted by women in meetings, but I am often interrupted by men. So if I'm interrupted by men, I will then interrup them back. But I will never interrupt another woman when she's speaking. This is one that I am pretty feral for, but I will not stop talking if I'm interrupted by a man. I will keep talking until he becomes so uncomfortable that he stops talking. And then when he finally does stop trying to interrupt me, I will finish what I'm saying. But I'll usually say something that's a little bit uncomfortable for him like, oh, great.
Now that you've finished interrupting me, I can finish my point before you continue. Is this a great act of feminism or are you just learning to assert yourself in the workplace? I don't know. I also do this if anyone interrupts another woman that is speaking. I will ask the man to stop interrupting to let her finish her thought before he continues. The other bigger one that I do is when a man takes credit for a woman's idea or a woman's work, I will always call this out, whether that's for me or another woman. It's not at all unusual for me to turn around and say something along the lines of, oh, John, that's a fantastic point. And I think it's really relevant in this conversation. I also really enjoyed when Mary brought it up earlier. And lastly, if everyone is on the same level in a meeting, I will ask any follow-up meetings that need to be booked to be booked by a member of the team that is male, just because women typically get asked to do it all the time and it's just assumed. So I will go out of my way to ask one of the men on the team to book any follow-up meetings and to make sure that that all happens. Really a soldier for the cause here out in the Western workforce. It's so interesting that when you get into this micro-feminist
culture or these acts of micro-feminism, what it really is is an overwhelming amount of women who just want to police men, police the things that they do, go after them, demean them, insult them, really get back at them for what they believe to be current or past transgressions that men have committed against women in some way, shape or form. And with that being said, you are just fueling your life and your actions with resentment. That's the very thing that you're leading with. And resentment harms you more than it harms anybody else. You're not really impacting these men that you are claiming to fight against with your act of micro-feminism. You are impacting yourself and negatively so. Now, if somebody's truly doing something wrong within the workplace or any other space you're in as a woman, hopefully you would apply your rules equally. And you would go after both men and women for the things that they're doing because women are not exempt from bad behavior by virtue of being women. And that seems to be the through line of a lot of these videos that women should just be
pedestalized and treated like princesses all throughout life and men need to be demeaned and brought down and denigrated because patriarchy. It becomes abundantly clear in watching these videos that these are the acts and personalities of women who are not oppressed whatsoever. They're not experiencing anything close to patriarchy. And they have to create this patriarchy in their head and these acts of micro-feminism in their head to where they're literally playing out scenarios that haven't happened and giving playbooks to women on how to deal with things that also haven't happened. None of this is brave. None of these are actual acts of feminism. And I think these women should get crash courses in the lives of true feminists, women and men who are actually doing the work in patriarchal societies, in societies where women are extremely oppressed and then think about their acts of micro-feminism in the workplace and other spaces. I would love to see a woman in Iran watch a video like this on acts of micro-feminism and see what her reaction is.
These videos are a product of privilege. They're a product of freedom in reality and they do nothing but point out just how far women have come in our society and just how equally we are treated within our society today. So it's really accomplishing the opposite of what you've set out to accomplish. This shouldn't be called anything close to feminism. It's manhitting, it's misandry, and you're centering men. They are the sun that you revolve around with this ideology and with these practices. So I would urge the women who are going around committing these acts of micro-feminism and making playbooks on how to implement these acts in their lives to rethink their literal centering of men. And I'd love to hear from you guys in the comments down below on these acts of micro-feminism. How do you feel about them? Is this something that you do? Do you feel like this accomplishes anything if you're a man with this trigger hue and set you on a path of patriarchal rage? Let me know in the comments down below. As always, if you disagree with any of the guys that in this video, do get out of this respectfully and encourage healthy debate on this channel.
