Thirumurukaatruppadai. First Tamil Text on Subrahmanya, Murugan

Tamils have an ancient past and rich literature. .Earliest available Tamil works go back to over 16,000 yeras. Tamil poems were composed ,approved and then made available by Poets" Conclave called Tamil Sangam. There were three Tamil Sangams.These Sangams were an assembly of Poets where the King was a participant.. The Pandya Kings were the promoters of the Sangam. Chera and Ch0zha Kings also promoted Tamil and there were Kings who were great Tamil Poets. There were three such Poets' Conclave.The first Tamil Sangam was held at Then Madurai, the capital of Pandyas. Lord Siva was the President of this Sangam.His son Murugan aka Subrahmanya and Sage Agastya assisted Him.Siva founded the Tamil Language and Tamil arose simultaneously with Sanskrit from Siva's Damaru.The First Sangam produced Two works .Irayanar Ahapporul by Lord Siva and Aindiram By Indra, Chief of Devas. Both are works on Grammar.Second Sangam produced Tholkaapiyam, and Agathiyam. Both are also on Works on Grammar.  The books on Grammar from First Sangam, Irayanar Ahapporul,Aindiram and Agathiyam are lost.Only Tholkaapiyam remains and is available .The third Sangam Produced three great Literary works .One of them is Thirumurukaatruppadai, A Spiritual work addressed to Subrahmanya, also called as Murugan In Tamil.
