Broadcasting around the world, this is on the record with Christian Briggs. Serious talk about what's happening around the world and how it affects you. Unfiltered truth for a world on edge. Follow us on X at BMC, underscore H-A-M, live in three, two, one. What if I told you the future of money may not be about replacing cash with something digital? What if it's about replacing cash with something that can be governed? There is a sentence near the end of this European Central Bank working paper entitled macroeconomic modeling of CBDC, a critical review that ought to set off every alarm bell in this country. The Big Shot bankers running the system describe their new central bank digital currency, a CBDC, as just the normal, natural next step for cash in the modern computer age. Think about the trick they're playing on you. First, our grandparents carried paper checks in their pockets.
Then we got plastic debit cards to swipe at the register. Then we got Apple Pay on our phones to tap on a glass screen. So now the global bosses say, the next easy step is just turning real green paper dollars into computer code on your screen. It sounds harmless. It sounds modern, fast, and easy. So what's the big problem? The problem is that the second you turn real paper cash into computer software, you didn't just update the toy. You build a giant machine that can reach right into your pocket and take your lunch money whenever it wants. And that is where we need to look today. We aren't reading some wild comic book or an internet rumor made up by a guy in his basement. We are looking at a real official report written by Ulrich Binzile, one of the top bosses at the European Central Bank, and another top economist named Richard Center. Now right at the front, they put a little warning saying these ideas are just their personal opinions and not the official rulebook yet, fair enough.
But look at what they're actually putting together. The paper is called macroeconomic modeling of CBDC, a critical review. And what's crazy is that these bank insiders are actually yelling at other fancy college professors. They say the professors are dreaming up giant scary computer currencies that would blow up every local bank in town. The authors say the real digital dollar they want to build is going to be small, safe, and friendly. No interest fees, a strict limit on how much you can hold, rules on who gets to join the club, and a direct digital wire connecting the government's app right into your family's personal bank account. So the bankers smile and say, look, don't worry, we aren't trying to steal your local bank. We don't want your life saving sitting in our computer. Everything is totally fine. Don't buy it for one second. Ask the simple question you learn on the playground. What kind of spy tools do you have to build to make those promises work?
To put a limit on how much money you can have, a government boss has to spy on your piggy bank every single second of the day. To pick who gets to use the app, an unelected committee has to decide if you're on the good list or the bad list. And to move money back and forth automatically between your private bank and the government, the government's computer has to be plugged directly into your family's wallet. That isn't a fairy tale. That is how the machine is wired. And once you build a cage, the cage stays there long after the people who built it go home. Presidents change. Bosses change. New rules get written the second an emergency happens. The digital fence stays right where they built it. I don't care what sweet promises the bankers make on day one. I care about what the machine is able to do when a bad guy gets his hands on the controls. Because once sovereign money becomes pure computer code run by the government, the sky is falling on freedom and they've got their finger right on the off switch.
Let's step back and look at the excuse the central planners are feeding the public. They tell us physical cash is disappearing and look that data point is actually true. In Europe, the paper points out that cash was used for nearly 80% of store purchases back in 2016. By 2022, that number plummeted down to 59%. In the United States, cash transactions crashed from 40% in 2012 down to under 19%. In Sweden, it fell all the way to 10%. Think about how you buy things today. You walk into a gas station, grab a cup of coffee, tap your phone against a black plastic box, and walk out. You don't hand over a green bill. You don't get coins back. Most Americans can go weeks without ever touching physical paper currency. So the central bankers come out in their expensive suits with a big presentation. Their argument goes like this. If nobody uses paper currency anymore and every transaction is run by visa, apple, and private commercial banks, then sovereign public money disappears from daily life.
The paper argues that this creates a massive crisis because the money sitting in your checking account isn't actually cash. It's an IOU from a commercial bank. We accept that digital bank deposit because we believe we can always walk into a branch and turn it into real sovereign dollar bills. The authors say that if paper cash disappears, that anchor snaps. Private tech monopolies take over the entire economy. Transaction fees go through the roof and foreign corporations get to decide who gets to buy and sell. That is their sales pitch. And to an average listener, it sounds like the government is just trying to protect you. Don't buy it for a single second because the central bankers describe this CBDC plan as a conservative reform. Conservative compared to what? Compared to closing every private bank in America and running the entire country off one giant government computer? Sure. That would be conservative compared to the physical $20 bill sitting in your wallet right now. Now we're having an entirely different conversation.
Think about a $20 bill, a real green piece of paper with Andrew Jackson's face on it. That paper bill doesn't need Wi-Fi to work. It doesn't ask for your digital ID. It doesn't scan your face before you buy a gallon of milk and it doesn't report your spending habits back to a federal database. Physical cash is private property. A CBDC is government software and software has rules. Software has administrators. Software has an off switch. Calling a CBDC digital cash is the ultimate deception. It's like calling a surveillance drone a bird just because they both fly in the sky. The real question isn't whether tapping your phone is fast and easy. Of course it's easy. The question is what happens when you trade real physical property for a government permission slip? Because once the administrative state controls the computer program that runs your money, the sky is falling on financial freedom. Look at the mechanism these central planners spend pages defending the individual holding limit.
This is where the mask slips and the trap becomes obvious. Central bankers are terrified of what happens if regular citizens are allowed to hold unlimited amounts of government digital currency. And their panic makes total sense from their perspective. Imagine a bank run. You're sitting in your living room watching breaking news about regional banks going under. People get scared, trust vanishes. In the real world, draining a bad bank takes physical effort. You have to drive to the branch, wait in a long line, grab heavy stacks of cash and take them home to your safe. That physical friction slows things down. Now imagine you have a digital app on your phone connected straight to the central bank. With zero friction, a frightened depositor could drain their entire life savings out of their local bank and dump it directly onto the government's balance sheet in two seconds flat. That changes everything. The ECB paper admits this directly.
An unconstrained CBDC would instantly hollow out the commercial banking system, destroy private lending and force the central bank to step in and micromanage loans for the entire economy. So what is their grand fix? They put a hard cap on what you're allowed to own. The ECB discussed a limit of 3,000 euros. The bank of England floated caps between 10,000 and 20,000 and communist China uses strict wallet tiers based entirely on how much private identity data used surrendered to the regime. Now stop and look at what that safety rule requires. To enforce a cap on what Christian Briggs can hold, the central bank's computer must track Christian Briggs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The system has to see your name, verify your purchases, and monitor your total net worth in real time. The safety feature itself requires complete total surveillance. Economically, capping balances protects the big banks from collapsing during a panic.
But look at the weapon you just handed to the administrative state. We've already watched this playbook in action. We saw Operation Choke Point. We saw Canadian truckers get their personal accounts frozen for speaking out. We see lawful gun shops and conservative groups quietly debanked every day under pressure from federal bureaucrats. Now the government wants to run the payment software itself. Who decides what your cap is? Who decides who gets an exemption? What happens when an unelected agency decides your political opinions make you a threat and dials your personal limit down to zero? When money becomes computer code, shutting down your ability to buy groceries isn't a legal battle anymore. It's an automated keystroke. This brings us to the pipeline they're engineering to hook this system directly into your life. The ECB calls it the reverse waterfall. It sounds like fancy Wall Street terminology. It isn't. It's actually very simple and that's what makes it dangerous. The idea is that your government digital wallet will be permanently wired
into your private checking account. Let's say you go to buy a generator or put gas in your truck. If your government digital wallet doesn't have enough digital dollars in it, the system doesn't decline the card. It automatically reaches straight into your private bank account grabs the cash, turns it into central bank money and completes the sale. And if someone sends you money that pushes you over your government mandated holding cap, the excess balance is instantly vacuumed out of the digital wallet and dumped back into your commercial bank. The paper describes both automated functions in detail. From the consumer's perspective, the bureaucrats sell this as pure convenience. You don't have to manage a separate pool of digital cash. You don't have to remember to reload your wallet before you leave the house. The author is even compared to using PayPal to link different accounts. They know that if people have to manually move money back and forth, broad adoption slows down. The reverse waterfall removes that friction. It also builds the cage.
Because we are no longer talking about a separate digital token sitting on your phone. We are talking about a master government software layer sitting directly on top of your entire private banking footprint. Your local bank is still there on paper. But the central bank holds the master switch governing how and when your deposits are authorized to move. And this blows a hole in the claim that CBDCs won't disrupt the economy because individual balances will remain small. A state run highway doesn't need to own your truck to control your freedom of movement. If the state owns the toll booths and the checkpoints, the state dictates where you go. Look at what the paper says about access rules. For the digital euro, the author's state that access is envisioned primarily for eligible natural persons, permanent residents, while businesses, international travelers, and non-citizens face major hurdles. They explicitly note that cross-border access will require treaties between central banks. Think about that for a second. With a physical $20 bill,
if you hand it to a store clerk for a sandwich, that green paper note doesn't run an algorithmic background check on your legal status, your political standing, or your social compliance profile. A digital system does. Once that eligibility infrastructure is coded into the money supply, the definition of an eligible user will change whenever the ruling class decides you are a threat to their power. This brings us to the part of the paper where the real trap is laid, the interest rate dial. Right now, the bureaucrats in Europe are making big promises. They tell us the digital euro will carry zero interest. No yield at all. The authors argue that academic economists are just spinning their wheels by modeling interest-bearing digital currencies because central banks aren't building a savings account. If you stop right there, it sounds almost harmless. It sounds like a digital bill sitting quietly in your wallet. Then you read the official legal position cited in the paper, and the alarms should start screaming. The ECB explicitly notes that while it does not intend to pay
interest at launch, it legally cannot rule out charging interest or fees in the future if economic conditions warrant it. Why? Because the central bank claims it must maintain absolute control over the yields on its own balance sheet. Notice the slide of hand. They aren't saying the tool will never carry interest. They're just saying they won't flip that switch on day one. Those are two completely different things. Once sovereign money becomes software on a government server, adding an interest rate isn't a technical hurdle. It's an administrative decree. Most people hear the word interest and think about earning a little extra return on their savings. But central planners and academic economists have spent decades obsessing over the exact opposite, negative interest rates. The paper confronts this directly. It points out that conservative critics pushed back against CBDCs specifically because of the danger of negative rates, especially if physical paper cash is wiped out.
In a normal economy, real cash creates what economists call the zero lower bound. If a bank tries to charge you a negative 5% fee just to store your hard earned money, you don't leave it there. You pull your cash out of the vault, stick it in a home safe and protect your family's savings. Physical cash is your emergency escape hatch against the government draining your wealth. Get rid of paper cash, trap everyone inside a mandatory government app, and that escape hatch is gone. If unelected technocrats decide the economy is stalling or that ordinary Americans are saving too much money instead of spending it on government approved consumer goods, they can hit your wallet with a negative rate. Your balance automatically rots away every single week you refuse to spend it. The authors insist negative rates aren't part of the initial rollout. But the fact that they deliberately preserve the legal and technical machinery to enforce them tells you everything you need to know. The capability
is real. The trap is set. Once you give the administrative state the power to decay your money with a line of code, you no longer own private property. You are renting your survival from the central bank. If you want to understand why every day freedom loving Americans get chills down their spines when they hear the term CBDC, privacy is the fastest way to get to the truth. Because real physical paper cash has one fundamental characteristic that no government computer code on earth has ever been able to replicate. Total unmonitored freedom. Think about how cash works in your daily life. You can take a physical $20 bill out of your wallet, hand it to your neighbor for a set of tools, pay an independent contractor to fix your roof or drop a few bills into the donation basket at your local church. When that transaction takes place, it leaves zero digital breadcrumbs. There is no server pinged. There is no automated database logged. There is no administrative record created
for federal bureaucrats to sift through 10 years from now. That matters. Not because ordinary Americans have something to hide, but because financial privacy is the cornerstone of a free sovereign people. The ECB working paper spends a massive chunk of its time wrestling with this exact issue. Because academic economists have tried to sell CBDCs to the public by claiming they can deliver the privacy of cash in a digital environment. The authors basically admit that the academic models are completely disconnected from reality. Some academic papers pretend that a digital currency can be completely anonymous while still running online across a centralized network. The ECB authors step in and point out that in the real world, it is nowhere near that simple. When an unelected central banker or a Washington bureaucrat stands behind a podium and tells you that a future digital dollar will be privacy preserving, you need to stop them in their tracks and
ask the question they refuse to answer. What does privacy actually mean in their system? Does it mean the merchant selling you groceries can't see your home address? Does it mean your local commercial bank doesn't know what you bought? Or does it mean the federal reserve, the IRS and the Department of Justice are completely locked out of the database? Those are entirely different levels of privacy. And right here in the text of this paper, the authors admit the quiet part out loud. Privacy in a CBDC is not an inherent technical guarantee. It is an adjustable design setting chosen by the state. Think about the sheer danger of that admission. When you hold a physical paper dollar bill, privacy is the default state of nature. It belongs to you. Nobody has to grant you permission to hold it anonymously. With a government digital currency, privacy only exists to the exact degree that an unelected committee of central planners decides to permit it on any given Tuesday. The moment a crisis hits or the political winds shift in Washington and
administrative bureaucrat can turn the privacy dial all the way down to zero with a single software update. Now the ECB authors try to defend their system by attacking cash. They claim that cash enables tax evasion facilitates fraud and lacks the modern security features of electronic payments. Fine, we all know cash can be lost or stolen. Nobody is claiming paper money is magic. Security and privacy are two completely different things. A prison cell is secure. A maximum security compound is secure, but you have zero privacy inside those walls. A payment system can be perfectly secure from outside hackers while remaining completely transparent and observable to the federal agents running the network. Then the authors make another point that completely destroys their own justification for building this surveillance grid in the first place. They point out that strong privacy protections don't actually require creating a brand new central bank
digital currency at all. If Congress or European Parliament genuinely wanted to give citizens private digital transactions, they could simply pass federal statutes forcing commercial banks, credit card processors, and tech apps to stop harvesting, tracking, and selling your financial data. If protecting your privacy was the real objective, why haven't they passed ironclad laws protecting your private bank accounts right now? Why does their solution always require building a massive centralized government ledger that tracks every transaction in the country? They aren't building it to protect your privacy. They are building it to centralized control. Look at what this paper already admits is baked into the architecture, mandatory identity verification to enforce individual holding limits, balance tracking across every digital wallet in real time, automated pipes linking your private bank account directly to the central bank. You take those three components, put them together, and you don't have private money. You have an inescapable real-time
financial tracking grid. The authors claim they aren't trying to build a giant surveillance database where bureaucrats sit around watching you buy a gallon of milk. Maybe that isn't their stated goal on day one. But look at what we have lived through over the last five years in this country. We watched federal law enforcement quietly pressure major commercial banks to search private customer transaction records for keywords like Trump, MAGA or purchases that outdoor sporting goods stores. We watched the Canadian government freeze the personal bank accounts of blue collar truckers who dared to protest government mandates. We see lawful conservative organizations, Christian charities and gun shops routinely dropped by payment processors under backdoor regulatory pressure. That is what happens under the payment system we have today. Now imagine what happens when you give those exact same deep state agencies direct real-time access to the master ledger of a
programmable digital dollar. It doesn't take a wild conspiracy theory. It just takes standard, predictable bureaucratic mission creep. An administrative system gets built under the promise of safety. A national emergency is declared. A new administration takes power. An unelected agency reinterprets an administrative rule. And suddenly the surveillance tool that was only supposed to catch major criminals is turned directly against political dissidents, traditional Christians and patriotic Americans. That is why trust us is an absolute non-starter. I don't care what political party is in the White House today. Ask yourself this simple question. Would you be comfortable handing this exact digital surveillance machine to the political leaders you distrust the most? If the answer is no, then the infrastructure itself is a direct threat to the republic. And it must be stopped before the trap is sprung. This brings us to the part of the paper where the entire illusion of stability completely breaks down. Because from the perspective of an ordinary American family, money sitting
directly on the books of the central bank is structurally safer than a deposit sitting in a local commercial bank. Think about why that is. A regional bank in your hometown can hit a liquidity wall, make bad investments and fail. A central bank operating in its own fiat currency cannot go bankrupt because it controls the printing press. So if you suddenly give 330 million Americans a smartphone app that lets them hold sovereign central bank money directly, what happens? The second panic hits the news. The entire commercial banking system collapses in an afternoon. The ECB authors spend a massive amount of time on this because the danger is catastrophic. In a normal financial panic, people have to run to the branch, stand in line and pull out physical cash. But if everyone has a government wallet in their pocket, depositors can pull tens of billions of dollars out of main street banks and dump it onto the central bank's balance sheet with a single tap. That changes the entire velocity of a bank run from a slow burn into an instant digital stampede. The paper points
out that central bankers recognize this danger early, which is the real reason they designed individual holding caps in the first place. The limits aren't there to protect you. The limits are there because an unconstrained government currency would completely destroy private banking during the very first market shock. Now look at how the academic establishment tries to paper over this disaster. The authors review several macroeconomic models that attempt to fix the bank run problem with a neat little theoretical trick. They assume that whenever deposits flee local banks for the central bank, the central bank will simply take that money and lend it right back to the private banks. On a chalkboard, that sounds clean. In the real world, that is the end of independent banking in America. Think through what actually happens when local banks rely on the federal government for their daily survival instead of customer deposits. The central bank stops being an emergency lender of last resort and becomes the master allocator of capital for the entire economy. Unelected bureaucrats in Washington and Frankfurt get to decide which regional banks receive liquidity,
what collateral is acceptable, and which businesses are allowed to borrow money. We have already seen the administrative state weaponize regulatory guidance to starve American oil and gas producers, farming operations, and firearm manufacturers of basic credit. Under a centralized CBDC refinancing model, that extortion becomes absolute. Independent community banks turn into direct administrative branches of the federal government, forced to push whatever ideological agenda the ruling regime dictates just to keep their doors open. The ECB authors point out that many academic economists simply ignore these risks by building fantasy models where commercial banks don't even exist or models where bank runs are mathematically impossible. They are designing equations that pretend human panic, bureaucratic corruption, and market realities don't exist. And then they use those broken models to tell the public that digital money is safe. Don't let them deceive you. When you see central planners intentionally weakening their own digital currency with arbitrary
holding caps just to keep the private banking system from collapsing, that tells you everything you need to know about how volatile this architecture really is. They are building a machine so centralized and so fundamentally unstable that the only way to keep it from destroying the private economy is to wrap it in a permanent web of federal surveillance and emergency controls. Now let's look at the big scare story the government bankers use when you start asking hard questions. They look at you and say, look, we aren't trying to control your life. We have to build this digital money app because if we don't big tech companies and credit card giants are going to take over the whole world. Think about that excuse for a second. They want you to believe that if regular paper cash goes away, giant corporations like Apple, Google, and Visa will own every single way you buy things. And look, part of that warning is real. If three giant tech companies control every
screen, every phone, and every payment app in the country, they can act like playground bullies. They can charge huge fees to local mom and pop shops. They can decide who gets an account and who gets kicked off the playground. We've already seen big tech do exactly that. We've watched them silence patriotic Americans online. We've seen them cancel accounts and shut down people who dare to speak their minds. A handful of massive tech companies controlling how you buy food or pay your rent is a real dangerous threat to this country where the big trick happens is the government solution. The bankers say, since you're worried about big private companies having that much power, let the government take total control instead. Don't buy that for one single second. That is like saying there is a bully in the school yard taking your lunch money. So let's invite a giant monster into the school to take everything you own forever. Trading big tech bosses for unelected government bureaucrats does not save your freedom. It hands absolute power to the state. The American way to
handle bullies has never been to build a giant government cage. In America, we believe in real freedom. We believe in open competition. We believe in local community banks. We believe in keeping real physical paper cash alive forever. You do not protect regular families from corporate greed by giving the federal government a giant computer system that watches every penny you spend. Because think about this. If a tech company treats you badly, you can stop using their app. You can switch to another company. You can pull out a real green $20 bill and pay for your groceries and cash. What happens when the government runs the only digital money allowed to exist? If the government owns the payment app, tracks your digital ID, decides what you're allowed to buy, and prints the money supply out of thin air, there is no backup plan. There is no other store to walk to. There is no escape hatch left. The European Central planners say their app is just supposed to keep a healthy balance between public money and private companies. Fine, then protect the
balance the right way. Pass a law that says no business can refuse physical cash, break up the tech monopolies, punish any bank that cancels a customer for their political beliefs. Do not use fear of big tech as an excuse to build a digital prison. Because once the American people fall for the lie that we need a government digital dollar to save us from Silicon Valley, we are trapped. And the question you have to ask yourself is simple. If the government becomes the only game in town, who in the world is going to protect you from the government? Now look behind the curtain at the fancy college professors and government math experts who are trying to sell this whole scheme to the public. The European Central bank authors looked at 14 major computer models made by big name economists. Their conclusion is completely wild. Almost every single one of those studies is testing a total fairy tale that has nothing to do with real life. They aren't testing what's actually happening. They are playing pretend on a chalkboard. Some economists build a math model and pretend the digital money gives everyone huge cash rewards
for using it. Others build a computer simulation and pretend that real paper dollar bills don't exist anywhere in the world. Some professors pretend that local neighborhood banks vanished completely. Then after making up all those crazy rules, they run their computer program and brag that science proves government digital money is great for everyone. Think about how ridiculous that is. If you write a math problem where you force the answer to be 2 plus 2 equals 5, you didn't discover some new magic truth. You just watched your own computer spit your own made up answer right back into your face. Look at the examples the paper calls out. One big study pretends the digital currency will be equal to 20% of the entire country's economy. Another study uses 30% and the researcher actually admits he just picked that huge number out of thin air. Another paper says the best size for a digital currency is nearly half of everything the country makes and sells. Those numbers are completely insane compared to the small limited digital app the government
promises to give us on day one. And once you feed a computer a pretend world where the government currency is that huge. Of course the computer says wild things will happen. It shows hundreds of billions of dollars getting sucked out of small town banks. The government's bank account exploding in size and every store in America changing how it does business. So ask the common sense question. Are those real benefits of a digital dollar or is that just what happens when you force a gigantic pile of money out of private hands and hand it straight to the government. That is the exact trick they are pulling on you. The news media loves to take these professor studies and scream headlines at you. Experts say digital currency will make the economy grow by 3% or science proves government money makes banks super safe. What they refuse to tell you is that the professors only got those happy numbers by erasing every real world danger from their math problems. If you pretend local banks don't exist in your model you can't show a bank going broke. If you pretend people
aren't allowed to pull their money out during a scare you can't show a bank run. And if you pretend the government has an endless magic piggy bank to bail out every failure with zero pain then everything looks like sunshine and rainbows on paper. In the real world bad things happen. People panic prices go up and big government bosses love using their power to boss around every day people. The authors of this paper are right about one big thing. The so-called experts have been selling everyone a bill of goods based on pretend math. When a bureaucrat in a fancy suit stands in front of Congress with a giant stack of papers claiming a digital dollar is guaranteed to work do not believe them. In the real world those math tricks aren't just numbers on a school whiteboard. They turn into strict federal laws government orders and computer programs that can lock your family out of your own hard-earned money forever. Now we get to the giant danger at the heart of this entire debate. What happens to our country when the government turns money into a computer
video game where they control the rules? Think about how software actually works. Software isn't just a piece of paper sitting quietly in a drawer. Software takes orders. It follows code. It checks permissions, scans, user names, and follows rules typed in by computer programmers. And who types the rules for a government money app? Unelected bureaucrats in giant government office buildings. Look at what this European Central Bank paper admits is already being built into the machine. A digital ID check that tracks who you are every time you try to buy anything. A computer scanner that watches your bank balance 24 hours a day to make sure you never save more money than the government allows. A direct wire connecting your private family bank accounts straight into the government's master computer through what they call the reverse waterfall. Those aren't wild ideas someone made up. Those are the exact gears already sitting on the workbench. Now the government bosses will put on
their best smiles. Look you straight in the eye and say, don't worry, we are only building these safety features to keep everything calm and stop bad guys from doing bad things. Do not believe them for one single second. You never judge a giant new power tool by the nice promises the salesman makes when he sells it to you. You have to judge it by what happens if a crazy person gets his hands on it. Because the more power you build into the computer code, the more dangerous the person sitting at the keyboard becomes. Ask the simple questions the news media never wants to talk about. Who writes the code? Who holds the master password to the database? Which rules can a government agency change on a Friday afternoon without anybody getting to vote on it? What happens to your family's grocery money the next time the government declares a nationwide emergency? The paper itself admits the central bank keeps the legal right to flip the switch on interest rates change who is allowed to use the app and lower your savings limits whenever they decide the economy needs it. That means all their promises
on day one can be thrown straight into the trash can. Those promises aren't carved into stone. They are just policies and government policies change whenever the people in charge want more power. We have seen this movie happen over and over again and the government builds a brand new tool and swears it will only be used for a tiny specific emergency. Then a crisis hits. The government expands its reach agencies write new rules and suddenly a tool that was sold to you as a nice little convenience becomes a giant cage you can never escape from. Look at what we've watched happen in this country over the last few years. We watch federal agencies quietly call up social media companies to delete posts and silence regular citizens. We watched big banks get pressured to spy on their own customers just for buying legal hunting rifles outdoor gear or patriotic books. We watched hard working truckers and everyday families get their personal bank accounts frozen with zero trial
simply because they spoke up against the government. That is what happens under the system we have right now. Imagine what happens when those exact same power hungry agencies are handed the master control switch to a digital dollar. If the government has the power to track every sandwich you buy cap how much money you're allowed to save for your kids eat away your savings with negative fees and turn off your digital wallet because they don't like your opinions. You are not living in a free country anymore. You are living in a giant digital jail where you have to ask the government for permission just to eat dinner. Once this giant machine is fully built and installed on every smartphone in America it is game over. You won't be able to vote it away. You will just be begging the computer screen for permission to buy groceries. The time to smash this control grid to pieces isn't after it's running on your phone. The time to draw the line and stop it is right now before
they lock the cage door behind us. Now we get into the engine room and this is where the so-called experts start telling completely opposite stories. Pick up one study from a big name professor and he promises a government digital dollar will magically make everyone richer. Pick up a study from the guy next door and he warns the exact same digital money will shrink savings close factories and crush working families. Why the contradiction? Because the computer models are rigged. The output changes based on whatever pretend rules the researcher types into the program before hitting run. Look at the sunny models first two researchers Bardier and cumhoff ran a simulation claiming a digital currency could permanently boost national growth by 3 percent. 3 percent extra growth sounds amazing. But that boom only happens in a fantasy world where everyone is forced onto the app. The government pays you interest and there are zero limits on its size. That looks nothing like the
restricted app politicians promise today. Then read a study by Jorge Abad and the picture flips upside down. His research shows that when everyday families hold zero interest digital currency their savings shrink. When family savings dry up there's no money left to build new homes, start local businesses or hire workers under his model the digital currency directly shrinks the economy same label completely opposite results. The European Central Bank authors call this out with a simple fact from real life physical paper cash between 2007 and 2021 real paper euro bills and circulation jumped by nearly a trillion euros and guess what the sky didn't fall. Local banks didn't blow up the economy didn't grind to a halt. If dumping a massive mountain of physical paper cash didn't destroy the economy but these digital models predict disaster the danger isn't real money. The danger is the government control wire hooked up to the digital money and the
European authors drop an incredible truth bomb right at the end. Under the actual cap digital wallet central banks are proposing the economic benefit is basically zero. It won't help the economy grow at all. So why are global institutions spending billions to build it? It was never about economic growth it is about total control over the payment rails. It is about watching every dollar you spend keeping a master government off switch over your life and locking every free citizen into a digital cage where you can't buy or sell without permission. If you want to know what happens to a major economy when the volume of central bank money skyrockets look at physical bank notes in Europe between 2007 and 2021 euro bank notes in circulation surged from roughly 628 billion euros to over 1.57 trillion euros. That is nearly a trillion euro expansion in physical sovereign cash. The authors point out that this real world cash expansion was vastly larger than any digital currency
roll out being debated today. Yet that massive increase in physical currency didn't trigger an economic apocalypse collapse the private banking sector or distort market investment. Think about what that reveals. If adding nearly a trillion euros of physical sovereign money didn't destabilize the private economy but these digital models predict massive disruption the danger isn't sovereign money itself. The danger is the programmable control grid engineered into the digital software. This is where the debate becomes dangerous for everyday citizens. Academic models carry a false sense of authority. Dress up an ideological goal with enough complex calculus and regression equations and it suddenly looks like an undeniable scientific law. bureaucrats waive the academic study at a press conference. The legacy media parades the talking points without checking the math. Before you know it the public is told that surrendering financial independence to a federal app
is the only way to modernize the economy. They did not prove this in a laboratory. They manufactured a scenario. When we are talking about rewiring the monetary foundation of the United States the burden of proof cannot rest on a computer simulation program by central planners. The ECB authors drop an incredible admission under the tightly capped low volume CBDC design. They are actually proposing the overall macroeconomic impact on growth will likely be close to zero. Think about the sheer irony of that conclusion. After years of globalists summits hyping CBDC as a revolutionary economic miracle central bankers are admitting it may barely move the macroeconomic needle at all. If a CBDC doesn't supercharge growth why are global institutions spending billions of dollars building it. It was never about GDP growth. It is about total control over the payment rails.
It is about monitoring the flow of every dollar ensuring the state maintains and off switch over private transactions and locking every citizen into an administrative control grid. And if this system ever expands beyond its initial promises the first casualty won't just be your individual wallet. It will be the entire independent banking system. Think about how a normal neighborhood bank works. You put your hard earned dollars into the bank for safe keeping. The bank doesn't just let that money sit in a dark room. They lend it to your neighbor to start a pizza shop to a local builder fixing a house or to a family buying their first car. It's local. It's neighbor helping now imagine the government comes along with this new digital money app on your phone. If everyone gets scared and moves all their dollars out of the local town bank and puts them straight into the government's app, what happens? The local bank runs out of money completely empty. So the big government bankers say don't worry. We will just lend our government money back to your
local bank so they don't go out of business. Sounds nice, right? Don't fall for it. It is a massive trap because the second the local bank has to beg the government for money just to keep the lights on the government owns them. Now, unelected bosses and giant government buildings get to decide who gets alone and who gets left out in the cold. Want to buy a gas powered truck? Sorry, the government says no. Want to open a gun shop or a farm? Denied. Your local banker knows you. A government computer in Washington does not care about you at all. Even the European central bank admits in this paper that if the government starts funding all the banks, it centralizes control and crushes the local businesses that make our country run. That's why they're putting limits on how many digital dollars you can hold today. They know that without limits, this system would wipe out local banks overnight. Don't let them fool you by saying the limit is small. A limit is just a number on a computer screen. The government can change that number with one click whenever they want.
Having paper cash in your wallet is real freedom. Giving the government the master key to every bank in America is pure control. Once they control who gets money, they control your entire life. The paper itself admits the central bank preserves the legal authority to flip the switch on interest rates, adjust access criteria and modify holding caps whenever future monetary circumstances dictate it. That means the initial promises are completely disposable. They are administrative policies. And policies move with the political wins. We have watched this exact playbook executed again and again throughout American history. A new federal capability is established for a narrow emergency purpose. A crisis hits. The administrative state expands its jurisdiction. Regulatory agencies reinterpret existing statutes. Suddenly a tool that was sold as a limited convenience becomes the primary instrument of nationwide coercion. Look at what this nation has lived through over the last several years. We watched deep state intelligence agencies pressure big tech platforms to censor
political speech. We watched federal regulators quietly direct commercial banks to flag lawful purchases of firearms and ammunition. We watched blue collar workers and peaceful protesters get financially debanked without a trial. Now imagine giving that exact same weaponized bureaucracy direct real-time command over a programmable digital currency. If unelected technocrats possess the capability to track your transactions, cap your wealth, decay your balance with negative rates, and shut down your digital wallet based on political compliance. You no longer live in a free society. You are living inside a digital panopticon where your basic survival depends on government permission. Once that infrastructure is fully deployed, the public will no longer have a say in whether the system should exist. We will merely be pleading with unelected regulators over the settings. The time to stop this control grid is not after the digital wallets are installed on every smartphone
in America. The time to draw the line is before the foundation is poured. Where does this leave the American people? Because the solution here is not to bury our heads in the sand and pretend that the digital transition can simply be wished away. Nor is it to panic and throw our hands up in defeat. Digital commerce is already here. Tens of millions of Americans use cards, apps, and electronic payments every single day. But the kind of monetary system we allow to govern this republic is a choice that belongs strictly to the American people and their elected representatives, not to unelected globalist technocrats in Frankfurt, Basel, or Washington. That is our line in the sand. The ECB authors argue that central banks are just trying to preserve public money as paper cash declines, claiming they have no desire to crush private banks or micromanage the economy. We've seen through that illusion. The moment you convert physical cash into programmable software, you build capabilities that have never existed in human history, mandatory digital identity,
automated balance surveillance, programmable spending limits, and an inescapable pipeline between your wallet and the state. That doesn't just modernize money. It turns money into an ideological weapon. If America is going to survive this technological shift with our constitutional liberties intact, we must establish five non-negotiable statutory walls before the control grid is locked into place. First, physical paper cash must be protected by federal statute as a permanent mandatory medium of exchange, not as a temporary transition tool. Not until digital adoption hits some arbitrary benchmark, cash must remain legal tender forever. Cash represents decentralized economic sovereignty. It works without an identity check, without Wi-Fi, and without a federal agency watching over your shoulder. Second, the creation of a retail central bank digital currency must be permanently outlawed by Congress. No executive order, no treasury initiative, and no backdoor pilot
program from the Federal Reserve can be allowed to issue programmable digital currency that links individual citizens directly to the government's balance sheet. Third, financial debanking must be classified and prosecuted as a direct civil rights violation. We need hard statutory walls ensuring that no bank, credit union, or payment processor can cancel, freeze, or restrict a lawful citizens account based on their political beliefs, religious convictions, or lawful purchases. Fourth, monetary policy must never be weaponized into an individual behavioral enforcement tool. Central planners must never possess the legal authority to apply negative interest rates, transaction decay, or automated accountsweeps to the private property of the American people. And finally, any major structural change to the nation's payment rails must require an explicit affirmative vote by elected lawmakers in Congress, not an administrative rule change quietly pushed
through by unelected regulators. The ruling class wants you to believe that a programmable digital dollar is inevitable. They want you to believe that resistance is pointless, and that total central realization is just the price of modern convenience. It is not inevitable. It is a political choice. Our founders built this nation on checks, balances, and a deep, healthy distrust of concentrated power. They knew that the moment an administrative state gains total control over the monetary life blood of a nation, liberty itself is destroyed. When they tell you it's just digital cash, demand to see what the software is programmed to control. When they promise it will be restrained, ask who holds the legal power to rewrite the rules during the next national emergency. And when they say, trust us, remember that a free people does not survive on trust. We survive on hard limits, strict accountability, and the unyielding protection of our constitutional rights. stay on the record. I'll see you next week.
