There's Greatness in Every Community

   With all the bad news and chaos in the world since the start of the pandemic, I was reminded by a listener named Jim Smiley that there is greatness in our communities if we just take the time to see it.

  Jim sent me a video of incredible young kids that benefit from the great work at www.ballardcenter.org in Lawrence and put me in touch with Becky Price, the CEO.  She's carrying on a nearly 60 year tradition of helping people in need and while you'll hear how unique she is, we should remember there are thousands of great Americans just like her in communities everywhere.
