Hello chickens, this is the fabulous Adam Rincid and I have a theory! Hello chickens! Welcome back! Apologies about last week. There were very few episodes. You had my voice, wasn't great.
This is also not amazing, so I don't know how many I'm going to get through this week. We may not have a full week again, but I will definitely be back on Mondays. I'm croaking up my throat through a lantern's episode. Adam Rincid has a lantern's theory with Justin Hamilton. It's very grown up though. If you listen to this podcast and you're a little younger than perhaps some of our friends, maybe don't listen to the lantern's one because they do swears in the lantern's episodes. I mean they do swears in the lantern's TV show, so we do swears. And it's very adult stuff, so apologies if anyone stumbled into that by accident. Speaking of the grown up episodes, Squally said watching the non-explicit episodes this week. If you are watching, then they're definitely non-explicit ones because they are pretty much...
Yeah, the only explicit ones are non-video ones. I have enough trouble editing these things. Can you imagine the trauma of doing a double edit with a bleep and a not-to-bleep? Yeah, the explicit ones are basically everything that falls out of me. And obviously, Squally wants to hurt me because this is going to have an explicit version. Squally says, I have the desire to watch you say... You might be able to watch it. I'll be blurry when I say that. Who says, oh, I said it twice now. Anyway, and then... Because I think... Because I was... She's watching the non-explicit ones. How very dare you mention the flux. Which we all know is pronounced, the flux.
But yeah, it does sound a little naughty when you say it like that, doesn't it? Thank you, Squally. Also, I'd like to welcome Tom. Everyone say hi, Tom. Tom is a recent addition to our ranks. So we love to have him on board. I love all of you on board. It's wonderful. You kind of keep me going on the days where it's not easy. And it's not easy at the moment. I'm having some very big feelings about things. Stuff that I can't really talk about. But it's, you know, things have been difficult. While we're not on, you know, on anything. Jack has posted into the Adam and Richard has a theory Facebook group. A promo. Oh, it's not a promo. It's just like a news thing. I don't know whether you call it news. It's just the internet gossip. Malaki.
Casting announcement, basically. For the next series of only murders in the building. If you watch only murders in the building, you saw at the end of the last series that they are headed to London for a very specific reason. Someone always dies at the end of the previous series. And then we have to follow them around for the next one. Anyway, the London cast is huge. It includes people like Olivia Coleman. And also, are you ready for this? Jodie Whittaker, Peter Capaldi, and David Tennant. Like three doctors. And you know, you never know if like another doctor who will turn up as like a, you know, little guest cast. But Jack says there's new tenants in the building. 15 of them are named David and don't want to go. It's very funny.
But yeah, I do love that show. It's beautifully structured. It's very silly. It's structured like one of those. It's, you know, because it's based on a podcast kind of thing. They make a podcast every year in this ridiculous show. And they make making a podcast look really easy. Like you just be talking miles from a microphone. And that doesn't work. I can tell you. I mean, I am in a room full of microphones. Like they're just gonna swing in from nowhere. Woo. But I'm using my own microphone here because I can bang the bench and you won't hear it. Because I've got what's called a shock mount on here. Like if I touch that, you'll hear it. But there's a shock mount. So I can kind of touch the bench and bump into things. And the worst it will do is make one of the cameras go real wobbly. Because one of the cameras is essentially my telephone.
Stuck onto a thing with a ring light on it. Yeah, it's a whole deal. It's a very high quality high tech bit of business. We've got going on here at the theory dome. The soundproofed bouncy wall theory dome. Oh, the theory dome. I'd fell into the theory dome. So Jeff has some confusing things to tell us about. This is, I mean, this is going to be one of those episodes where I catch up in on all of my videos. Jeff says, okay, fam, got some Adam level head can and come and at you now. He says, Soutek, having spent millennia trying to use the power of the TARDIS to reconstruct himself, discovers how to tear pieces of himself away and turn them into gods. Oh, Jeff, this is theory central.
I'm loving it. So we've got Soutek who we saw being dragged through the time vortex in at the end of series one of the old new improved third Doctor who reboot was a second reboot. It was the third series. It's the third first episode. It's confusing to everyone. He tears away, peep pieces of himself and turns them into gods flash back to the beginning of time and they become the harbinger, lux, the gods of asgard, etc, etc. Oh, so like, Jinx Monsoon's character and oh yes, I see. And does Omega become one of them or like, and what about the god of wishes, like the baby? In the last episode off screen, of course, each of the defeated gods loses a bit of spiritual juice.
Juice, spiritual juice, which doggie Soutek sucks back in and grows more corporeal until finally with the death of harbinger himself, herself. Harbinger was old sorts of people. Soutek is restored. Only problem. He stuck inside this stupid jackal suit and can't figure out how to get up. What is going on in your head? The fun part about this, it reinforces the idea that simply by existing and traveling back and forth through time, the doctor has been fulfilling the plans of the mighty Soutek, which means that the time lords were right. He is dangerous to the galaxy. Tiki Tiki Tata had a point. The doctor nearly led to the destruction of the entire universe. Now as to how do he reverses all that? Well, that's for the next theorist to figure out. Are you leaving this up to me? So all of the gods we saw were bits of Soutek.
They've been siphoned off and become their own business and then they're sucked back in as you say, so eloquently. And he can't get out of the jackal suit. And I mean, what if, Jeff, what if I take your elegant solution and just double back on itself because he's being dragged backwards through the time vortex? What if as the doctor's destroying basically Soutek as he bangs around in there, you know, with the leashon? Very silly. So the bits are flying off and also the gods are being destroyed and coming back into Soutek, but because it's the time vortex, it's just happening forever. And there is no need to interfere because Soutek's being, you know, when we see Soutek reborn in those two episodes, that's when all of the stuff has gone into him. And then as he gets ripped off down into the time vortex, he is being destroyed.
And all those bits are flying off again and then they come back and they say, it's just a constant circle. There you go, I fixed it. More in the next episode.
