The Christian persecution charity Open Doors published a report on Nigeria Africa this month. It's ranked 7th on the charity's list of the world's most dangerous countries worldwide to be a Christian. Islamic extremist groups strive much of the violence in the country which affects many Christians. Abductions linked to extremist violence rose to 3415 incidents during the last quarter of 2025. That's up 153% from 2024. Plus civilians who were murdered rose to 1,735.

1:01Up 51% many of those martyrs were Christians. The report noted, quote, after a period of relative stabilization, killings and abductions appear to be rising again with sharp increases recorded in late 2025. In Psalm 82 verses 4 and 8, the Psalmist craze delivered the poor and needy, free them from the hand of the wicked, arise, O God, judge the earth, for you shall inherit all nations. The Global Methodist Church held its General Conference in Johannesburg, South Africa last week. The theologically conservative denomination started in 2022 as churches left the mainline United Methodist Church. Global Methodists had around 4,700 churches in 2024. Now just one and a half years later, they've grown to 7,250 churches. Here in the United States, a federal appeals court heard arguments in a case about abortion

2:05drugs yesterday. Under the Biden administration, the Food and Drug Administration made the abortion drug mythopristone more accessible through the mail. Previously, an in-person visit to a doctor was required. The state of Louisiana is now challenging these changes in court. Attorney Aaron Hawley with the Alliance Defending Freedom said, quote, "'It's high time the FDA be held accountable for the destruction it began causing under the Biden administration, with this high risk drug that is flowing illegally into states that protect life.'" Republicans are holding their first ever midterm convention this week. The two-day event kicked off yesterday in Dallas, Texas. President Donald Trump attended the event and was the keynote speaker, along with Vice President J.D. Vance, Cabinet officials, and congressional candidates. Republicans hoped to energize voters through the convention ahead of the midterm elections

One surprise at the GOP midterm convention, which turned a lot of heads, was a video appearance by Democratic Senator John Federman of Pennsylvania, who rejected the socialist rise of extreme candidates in his own party, praised Republican President Trump, and introduced his Republican colleague in the U.S. Senate from Pennsylvania, David McCormick. A big remove of Republicans in Dallas. Yes, I'm Senator John Federman, Pennsylvania. Yes, I'm a Democrat. Why am I here talking to you today? Because, well, I'm a common sense Democrat. I'm always going to stand with America. I'm always going to reject the extremes and socialism in that anti-American way of life. Dave McCormick is the kind of senator that gets that you're up done, and he's going to fight for Pennsylvania. I'm proud to count him as my friend. Right back over my shoulder, that's the iconic U.S. steel mill, and that's exactly the

4:12kind of thing that will work together and will work with President Trump to fight and defend the steel way of life right here in the steel valley. I have this opportunity to introduce this great American, a great senator, and yes, he's in a different party, but I'm proud to count him as my great friend. So for everybody in Dallas, I'm here to introduce Dave McCormick. American Senator David McCormick of Pennsylvania is not up for reelection until 2030. In related news, CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten provided polls on voter enthusiasm on the eve of the Republican midterm convention. Enten call the event, quote, ill-conceived, end quote, saying the party's core voters do not need to be convinced to come out. Listen. This idea is so ill-conceived. You can see it by the fact that they're doing it when the football season is starting. Who does that? And when you look at the numbers, no, that is not the part of the party in which you actually

5:13need to motivate. You can see this here. Extremely motivated to vote in the midterm elections. 60% of Democrats are extremely motivated to vote. 59% of that card court Trump face, MAGA Republic, and 59% of the same as the Dems. Enten pointed to a graphic on screen showing that the least motivated voters in the midterm election this November are the 41% of Republicans who do not identify with making America great again. The ones who are not motivated to vote are the non-magra Republicans, the people who are far less likely to approve of Donald Trump, the people who think that Donald Trump's Republican party probably this should be the end of it. That's where the problem is. So no, it is not, in fact, the hardcore Republican base that needs that motivation. But is other folks at this convention simply won't be reaching because they'll probably be watching football like most Americans? Last Friday, US diesel prices hit an all-time high. The average nationwide price reached $5.85 per gallon.

6:14It was $3.76 per gallon back in February. That's when the US-erron conflict began disrupting the oil supply. Homeschool is used in most freight transport in America. High transport costs will likely translate into higher retail prices, especially for groceries. Homeschooling is up 200% in New York over the past 15 years. The Empire State now has 53,905 homeschoolers. New York City itself has 14,000 homeschooled children. Homeschooling is not only growing, it's outpacing the rate of charter school in enrollment. Zilvina Salinas, president of the Empire Center for Public Policy Think Tank, told the New York Post, quote, for the past few decades, New York schools have been in a death spiral of worsening performance and exploding costs. New York's taxpayers spend $37,000. The most in the world to educate one kid, yet we lose in reading and math to Mississippi,

7:21the poorest state, end quote. And finally, a new Pew Research Survey found that over half of US adults say they spend too much time on their smartphones. Among adults under 30, 70% said their phone usage is excessive. Overall, a quarter of Americans admit they use their smartphone almost constantly. Over the past 12 months, 45% of adults have tried to cut back on smartphone use. A quarter of those report they have been successful. Ephesians 5 verses 15 through 17 says, see then that you walk circumspectantly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And that's the world view on this Thursday, September 10th in the year of our Lord
