The Week Ahead - Week Commencing 18 December 2023

As usual, in the SpanishVida Podcast, we cover key economic data and events happening in both the UK and Spain during the upcoming week, but this week sees Christmas weekend coming up.

In the UK, GDP figures are expected to show further economic weakness. Public borrowing and quarterly national account stats will also be released.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will face questioning from MPs before giving the Christmas message.

The BBC Sports Personality of the Year will be announced. In football, the first Premier League match refereed by a female will take place.

In Spain, labour costs, trade balance, and IFO survey data will be published. Spanish tourism figures and company innovation results will also be reported.
