When Sulaiman bin al-A’mash used to wake up at night to answer the call of nature and did not find water to perform Wudu, he would wipe his hand on the dusty wall and perform Tayammum, saying, “I fear that I might die while not in a state of Wudu.” Purity, cleanliness and maintenance of Wudu are the hallmarks of a believer
