The Vacaville Museum featuring executive director Clara Dawson, whose passion for museums and dedication to preserving history is taking Vacaville Museum to new heights.
About this episode
Today, we’re excited to sit down with Clara Dawson, the Executive Director of The Vacaville Museum, a true treasure in our community dedicated to preserving and celebrating the unique history and culture of Solano County.
Since its founding in 1981, the Vacaville Museum has been building community through shared history, offering powerful exhibits that tell the stories of Solano County’s rich heritage—from Spanish Voices to the Japanese American experience, the legacy of the Nut Tree, and so much more.
As the only museum solely focused on interpreting the history of all of Solano County, the Vacaville Museum continues to connect people, art, culture, and education. With Miss Dawson's leadership, the museum remains a vital space where families, students, and community members can come together to learn about the past while celebrating what makes Solano County special.
