Even much weaker and less inspirational RINO incumbents always win their primaries by even bigger margins than Trump. If Fox News, with the help of liberal media, the party apparatus, and the donors, wants a man, it gets him – every single time. The system wanted Trump over DeSantis and got it. If this was really about a populist insurgency, then we would see mini-Trumps winning up and down the ballot, but instead we are worse off on that front than ever before.
