Blessing. Be the day. Which is how I'm all done. I'm welcome to the Sunday service, everybody. I'm past the court. COVID-19 over here. Minister Martin Thomas. Yes. How you doing? Not as good as you. You were just radiating sunshine. Yeah, you are. You think I am? Yeah, you are. I'm probably not. Drunk off alcohol and beach. That's what I was on Friday. What I said. A little combination, man. Yes, it is. Alcohol and beach. Holiday. Oh. Is that kosher? Uh, uh, uh, rubber? Yeah. Beef. Beef? Okay. Just don't put no cheese on it. Okay. What? What? Yeah. No meat and cheese. That's not kosher. But separate is okay. It's complicated. I mean, I'm not going to follow those rules. Oh, of course. All right. No big mess. There's a place called Jugu and Berk's Hand Town. True. And I swear. I got a cheeseburger over there. I bet you did. I don't get their concept. It's definitely not kosher.
It's delicious though. That's bad. Yeah. People tried to jump on me for using the word Jugu. They said, hey, man. You know, be sensitive. You always talk about race. You'd be sensitive to how the people feel. And I said, food is a place called Jugu Berger. Yeah, right. Yeah. Yeah. Jugu Boy Berger. That's even worse. I know. Jugu Boy, what's up? Jugu Boy. I know. Yeah. Jugu Boy. I was like, I'm not eating there. And they were like, no, it's cool. It's the guy. He said it's okay. It's his restaurant. I was like, I don't care, man. I'm not eating there. Have you not yet? I did. You wouldn't shut up about it. If I hadn't had to go. Yeah. I said, I eat there the moment I heard about it. It told him. It came. Proudly said, boy, then Jugu's not having a burger. Well, you know what? I ate there because they said, it's better than Casino. And I was like, I got to find out for myself now. It is not true. No, listen. Listen. You know, people don't have to be a good burger. I'm surprised they shouldn't. I'm surprised. But they do. A real burger has bacon and cheese on it. Ex-ex.
I love it. Well, they are not pushing it. Yeah. And the name three strikes you're out. Maybe that is a fake Jugu place. Maybe that is a fence. I don't know. You find a real Jugu place. You know, the twirls are here. That's right. That's all the side. Yeah. Yeah, man. No. I said, listen. I didn't say nothing offensive when I said Jugu and burger. This is the name of the place. And Jugu is not. There's not a fence of slur. I read recently. It's all in how you say it. Of course. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Have you said an anti-submitting way? Yeah. Yeah. Black can be. Black can be offensive. You know, where you go at your black ass. You ain't from right here. Who are you going with your black ass? Yeah. That's offensive. Yeah. It gets weird. Like, I saw one of my friends streaming and someone asked him, what do you think of Jews? It's like, all right. Now you're the weirdo. Yeah. Yeah. But I think black ass is offensive no matter how you say it. No, no, no. All right. Because when's the other time you say it? Kiss my black ass.
Man. Good. I don't see a positive connotation and put those two words together. A farmer referring to his donkey. Anyway. Yeah. To ask, right? You had to ask. I feel like that wasn't on me. You can't be going. You know he's going to do something a little bit. I didn't know. I wasn't expecting that. You can't argue with it. It's true. Man, I'm used to positive. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Come on in with your black ass. Come on in. I get it. How you say it? If you say it in a job you'll wear. Yeah. I'll give you a toe head. Some black ass. Come on in here. I've called you there before. I'll give you a toe snapping black ass. Come on in here, man. Crazy black ass. I honestly don't think you've ever said that to me. Man, when you were right now. I'll say that to you. I'll say that about you to do. Okay. We think he is black ass. See?
Negative. Oh, yeah. Yeah. But you know, there's some positive uses. I might not use them very often positively. But it's out there. Okay. But I'm going to use a positive look right now. And look at you with your sharp black ass. Look at that, man. Got that shirt on right there. That you popped. You gave me this shirt. Man, what am I? Again, I'm going to use it positively with my generous black ass. What does that even mean anymore black ass? Well, apparently I'm far more with a mules. Yeah. Ah. Ah. Ah. All right, that's not. Okay, that is a good tip. Yeah. See? No, he had to push it. Oh, I was doing Jerry Lewis. What did I do with you, man? Come on, man. You mean Jewish, Jerry Lewis? Hmm. I'm going to put the June in. I mean, his mama put it in there. I just said Jerry Lewis. You said Jewish, Jerry Lewis. Oh. Oh, people who are all religious in here.
Shalom. Come on in with your black ass. Fill in the black ass. Oh, how's everybody doing? I think. Great to have you here, folks. It's going to be all right today, man. Sorry. It took so long. That's on me. We got what to do today. And we were, I even got up, I got up early trying to figure out what to do. Man, that is nothing happened. Yeah. Two, two a.m. Two p.m. Oh. I got up at two a.m. Yeah, man. After sleeping off that damn coma that you gave me on Friday. Yeah, I was, when I did a Martin's barbecue thing on Friday, but man, today, there's not a lot going on. But that, you know what? I didn't, I don't know what I didn't think of this because a lot of people love our retro reviews. And we have something that's very relevant for today, but it just took me a while to figure that out. But we'll get to that in a little bit. Let me just go ahead and welcome this beautiful congregation that we have out there. Oh, I'm looking at my little angels right now. Oh, people. What is going on in the chat bag star in the OG chat and those side bitches.
Again, I'm going to use this. I'm going to use this on a very good way, which show lovely ass. How you doing today? We just going to put ass in everything. Not how the conversation started, but okay. But it's the beautiful turns they take. Oh, hey, man, it's not wrong. Put some ass in it. You remember a time some years when everything with you is like, with your blank looking ass. Yo, yeah, I still do that. Man, some people use that. Some people use that crazy. They're going to put ass on something. Some people, I don't know if you've ever heard of uses, but I remember years ago, when we were doing the cable access show, and I had my answer machine at the time, is before the internet, is before you send emails. Yeah, it's like, what's an answer? Yeah, yeah. We had some machine that answered your calls. Very soon, we got in there with your dumb ass. No, but the, but people love messages on my answer machine.
I'll put my number on the screen. And somebody called me and got mad because we weren't reviewing enough black movies. Uh-huh. And I remember the time we had just refinished, we refinished. It happens. And we didn't know what. No, we finished. And we back again. We were very thorough on that show. I like we weren't talking about it. It happens, baby. It's alright. Show hands off. We don't think about it. Get your ass hands off. Get your black ass hands off me. Don't you patronize me, patronize my ass. But somebody, somebody called up and they were mad because we weren't reviewing enough black movies. And we had just finished reviewing. That's like I got those were mixed up every, every finished reviewing. We have just finished reviewing a Jim Carrey movie. And this person was mad. And they were like, man, watch our review some black movies up here reviewing this old Jim Carrey ass. Never did that. That's alright. So you think we used it bad around here, man.
I forgot those days you put your personal phone number out there for people to call. And I survived. Yeah. Yeah. Got all kind of weird mess. Oh, yeah. Yeah, I got that guy that for years was hitting on me. And I thought I was joking till we met him. But there was also a woman who would call. And she would, I forgot what she would call up saying. Yeah, she was called saying to weird shit. And I remember, I remember one day I said on the, on the air. I said, yeah, I'm getting these weird calls from people in here. Some of the weirdest. And I described her. And I remember I got home and she said, you better not tell people I've been calling you. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I didn't say no fucking words. Whatever she said, I'm sorry. She told you to shut your ass up. Yeah. Yeah. I didn't say another word about her, man. Oh, somebody said, was it Denise? No, it's actually, I knew Denise at the time. Denise has told me some crazy things, man.
Denise told me, and I don't know if this is true or not. Denise said years ago, the first time I met her, we went on a date. I don't remember that shit. I remember. You do? Were you there? She told me about it after the fact. But maybe it was just y'all getting together and she saw it as a date. I think that might have been what happened. Because I don't remember it. I never really mentioned it, but I remember her telling me about it. Yeah, I think we were just hanging. I mean, no offense to you, Denise, not all. I mean, you're a very lovely woman, but I don't ever remember. I said, hey, Denise, you want to go out? You're not shit. I don't know why we even did it. Why we wouldn't? And I remember, wow, this is going to sound really mean. Jackson Hewitt has a great tax prep deal, $149 or less. Missing out is like ignoring the check engine light in your car. You regret it. And like the other time I saw Denise, I said, we're going to be somewhere. I announced out public. And there's this little Mexican woman who came in on the scooter into the middle of the bar, rolling in. I said, who the fuck is this woman rolling into the bar of the scooter? She broke her leg. Yeah, I remember. Yeah, because we used to sear all the time almost every weekend when we were giving tickets away. And then there was some years didn't sear at all. And then she, when she popped back up, she had that roller, that rolling scooter, that one leg scooter for her broken leg. I saw, I was in this bar. I don't keep my, I don't, this is, I've met a lot of people. I don't want to be one of those people who like, well, I meet a lot of people. I'm sorry. I don't remember you. Maybe I should remember Denise, because I guess we used to sear all the time. I don't know. But I just, I just may have been in this crowded bar.
And I was married at the time. And I was standing there and this, and looked across the room. And I just saw this floating Mexican woman going to the crowd. And I remember looking like, well, first of all, I saw a floating Mexican. And then I said, where the hell they go? Oh, shit, they coming towards me. Yeah, in terms of like, hey, she's like, hi, Cory. And I was like, yeah, it's me Denise. And I was like, okay, hey, Denise. I said, do we, do we know each other? Yeah, maybe we wouldn't have dating. I was like, oh, fucking remember no date with you. I never want to date no glad Mexican. Yeah, I have no clue about that at all. Apparently, your memory is better than mine. And like I said, there's no offense against Denise. Right, right, right. I don't ever remember saying, boy, I'd like to go on a date with you. Yeah, yeah. Now, I was surprised when she told me, but I was like, okay. I'm sure with the way Denise's mind works that she had, that she, that we had to let's go get some coffee or something.
And hang out because we were getting tickets away. And she took it as a date, I guess. I don't know. Yeah, very lonely woman. Didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't. Right, right, right, right, right, right, right. And I see pictures of it back in the day. Yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. When we met her, I think she was still in college. Yeah. Yeah, because she was the mascot for St. Ed's. Like, just her? Like, no. No, no, no, no. She put on the mascot costume. Oh, okay. I thought you was like Denise. No, no, no, no, no. But you know, that's a very physical thing to do. So she was very spelt, spelt, spelt, spelt at the time. So when you saw her later, I can see how you might not have quite have recognized her. Yeah. But, yeah. Yeah, I remember her saying, like, yeah, me and Corey went out of date. And I was like, huh. And I thought, okay. I mean, I guess I can see it. Very attractive girl. But then you never, you never mentioned it. You know, I would have said something. Yeah. Well, I run my mouth back in the day. Yeah, yeah, back that, back then.
I mean, I know later you got more tight-lipped about stuff. But, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But, you know, you were, you were juggling a lot of balls back then. So, uh. Oh, man. Let's look. Let's look. All right. Refrazing. All right. Would I say it? No, no, no, no. You just had. Yeah. You had things going on. A lot of things going on. I was like, I don't know how he does it. Man, even when I went out to the barbecue thing. Mm-hmm. I mean, cause yo, man, you got to be careful. Cause yo pass. I'm not saying that your pass will hunt you. I'm saying to put the, it can't possibly. Cause you think you don't see anybody anymore. Mm-hmm. And then years later, I'm talking about 20 years later. I know. Even at the barbecue place. Mm-hmm. This girl came up. Are you Cory Coleman? I was like, yeah. And she's like, remember me? Yeah. Sure. Uh. And she's like, yeah. Uh. And she's like, yeah. You and I, and a husband was there.
Yeah. Cool. Is this the guy? Is this the fucking guy? That guy seemed happy about it. Yeah. Yeah. Cause she's like, remember, we used to go out back in the day. And the guy was back in the, Cory. I was like, it's okay. I don't know what you're talking about me. Shit. I don't know. Maybe I'll leave the door. But I don't know. I don't know. But yeah. This woman had a daughter and everything now. And I didn't recognize it cause she had no at the time. I'm not going to even say her name or anything. It's nothing bad. But at the time, she was already kind of edgy. Mm-hmm. She, let's, let me just say that, uh. I don't put this. She was pierced four times down there. It's like you did go out with her. Yeah. Yeah. Is it, is it a lot of shit, I feel like Sonic going through some rings trying to kill me. I guess I got to go fans.
I was like, man, it's okay. So back, not, not two. There's four. Is it symmetrical on each side? Like I'm scale. I don't get... Was it studs or rings? No, it was rings. Oh wow. Yeah, it was like... Yeah. It was no, it was like shit. Who looped it? So I was like, all right, so I thread the needles. But yeah, man, and she was already, Needless to say, she already had to check back then, but yeah, today she was all tatted up, man. Like, you know, face and everything. Wow, wow. Yeah, yeah, yeah, man. She putting Mike Tyson to shake things. Yeah, she looked like, yeah, I don't know some general circus. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's becoming pretty common these days, people tattoo in their face. It's shocking to see, but new times, man, you know, I mean, neck tattoos ain't shit now. Yeah, like nothing. I mean, people very casually get tattoos right here on the back of their head, which is crazy.
Yeah, behind the ear. Yeah, nah, nah. Hey, what are you, what are you going to see? I keep opening my eyes. That's my another thing. So I had this, this meetup go. Oh, sorry. I'm just laughing. I just want to keep on moving. I'm trying to be slick. Oh, you cut that. Oh, good. What would I say? So, uh, are you going to answer it? No, I was just, I was, it was quick. You going away, I'm going, I'm going to admit the guy and everything. The daughter, beautiful daughter that she had, man. I'd actually noticed a daughter, her daughter looked like a damn vampire. She had like those, like, Lostat eyeballs, you know? Oh, yeah. Just, like, just very, very, very, almost white contact lens blue. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No, I talked to her and I just said, good to see you, man.
And she said, yeah, you know, social media. Yeah. Okay, I'll get hold of you. That was it. It was good seeing you. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Seeing to meet a lot of people when we go out there from the past. Remember, that's how we got caught up with the both friends of all. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. That was shocking to just walk by like, oh, you guys. And I always see the kids first. Uh-huh. We met this girl that used to come to our show back in the day. Her and another girl, but we met her and her family out there. I remember we saw the kids first with these two boys running around. I remember Martin saying, I wish he'd sit there fucking ass down. Bowsing all over the place and then like, who's kids with these? Hey, Martin. Oh, hey, it's gonna be. By the way, it was the chick who went to the wedding. Yeah. And did not feed us at all. Mm-hmm. And it was a good thing we were to laugh about that because if we had not, we'd been like, bitch. I mean, what? It's 20 years ago. I mean, I laughed at it at the time. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah.
So, oh, y'all, how y'all doing today? We gonna go ahead and jump in the things hopefully. Hopefully pretty quickly because I got started late today. Yeah, I was trying to find some stuff to do. I finally found something. It should have been pretty obvious. But, uh, let me see how everybody's doing a chat fan. We got Yotsuba fan fan. Hey, uh-oh, what you find out from that? Is that me as a bear? Is that Ted? Okay. I got to watch Ted. Yeah, we got to watch that, man. I should have thought about watching that today. But, yeah. I just barely had any time. Man, none of us had any time. You were doing the barbecue thing. You know, you were doing your play. How'd you play, though? Uh, we did our six shows of McBeath, but he's a sword and sold out pretty much every single one of them to varying degrees. Every show. Every show. Thank you. Every show had at least 50 people. And, uh, I mean, you can only ask really for an audience. A big one. It's, it's a privilege. No, that's great. Man, I heard that sword. It's amazing. Yeah. You know, I missed that. He's going places. Yeah.
I was dragging him around. Breakout stop. Yeah. I'm going to talk to him. He's a cut above the rest. People saying, congratulations, Julie. Oh, okay. See. This is nobody can say in the night you'll ever see. No, I appreciate that one. I don't you encourage that. You don't appreciate that, though. No. I don't know. Yasuba fan fan, tell my, uh, Sarah, tell your, your, your, your, your man that I'm going to, I'm going to pay for that cake. I'm getting there a cake. I'm getting them a cake for the birthday. Oh, okay. Yeah. Sorry if I haven't answered. Hopefully they got you the cake already. Uh, but if not, I have not forgotten about that. Things just got caught up with me this weekend. But I will be paying a, uh, for that cake for you. Uh, let me see here. The beer is monks. It's core of Julian Martin in the house. Yes. House of the Lord. Lord Coleman, that is. You're like, oh, couldn't. What is this? Konahita. Jeanadita. Okay. I like that. Is that new? No. That's happening. Oh, that's, is that your sister? I think so. Okay. I thought so because I used to call your sister Cornelho. I think that's why she said that. So Elijah is here. Said your name right this time. Thank you. Um, I'm usually giving him other.
Yeah. I used to call him. I said, yeah, yeah. He's a guy. A little bit more. He has names. Yeah. That's a, that's a perfect conjugation of that verb. There you go. But just sister. For some reason, I used to call her a little rabbit. And then I used to call her a little rabbit. I used to call her a little rabbit. I used to call her a little rabbit. I used to call her a little rabbit. I used to call her a little rabbit. But for some reason, I used to call her a little rabbit. And then I used to call her a Cornelho. So I think I, I don't know why she just reminded me of a little rabbit. That's why a little black rabbit. Mealtan and the son, of chocolate bunny. Now I've met a real rabbit. Why you got me got chocolate bunny? Well you said black, most rabbits are black. No, that's just, I don't know. That's kind of just the testicle. Uh-oh. Can you see anyone there read it? He drew glasses. Well, since it's out there now, since we put it all out there. All right. That's all I just want to get a get clarification on it. For all you people who like to make memes for the show, here's a photo I took a mark last night. So he put it out there for people for the public to not knowing to look at, but to actually make these kind of memes right there. He did it for a laugh. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I can't listen, y'all. I can't even I can't even say nothing about Martin right now. Y'all know how I crash out on everybody. I can I know that look. No, no. Hold up. Now you see. No, no, hold on. Wait. Stop them. Hey,
let me talk to you real quick. Oh, come here. I mean, in the same comments, I'll put the other photo of the good photos too. But he asked you not to put that one up there, right? It felt like a simple request at the time too. You act like putting a good photo up there. It gives you an excuse to actually have done what he asked you not to do. Yeah. You know, you know, you're all right. Yeah. All right. Hey, listen, that's that's between you and Martin. You know, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, boy. You know, it's been a long time. And I ain't saying this is even bad, but it's been a long time. I've been this uncomfortable watching something go down. I felt like, damn, you know, we've got your friends house and you see your friend getting in trouble with their daddy. And you just sit up there, like, yeah, you're there playing the PlayStation. Yeah, mom and dad are yelling at you them. Yeah. You know, you sit up there eating and they can't do something stupid. And then
the table just stopped. Boy, what I tell you, you just sit up there. Shit. That's how I felt. I felt like this was I was 10 years old. I mean, not everybody wants their pictures taken. And it's kind of a thing where you like, you cannot take your picture. It's almost like a like it can be a violation. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Yeah. No, no, especially when you ask somebody not to do it. First of all, the picture was taken without permission. It was, it was taken without you knowing. Yeah, candidly. And then it was, it was shown to you. And then you requested that I don't want you to put that up. And I want you to say, fuck you. Yeah, that's what it feels like. Yeah, you know, you say, fuck you, but like, hey, everybody, have fun. Left. That's Martin Thomas. What are you about the people, Martin?
I heard you all wanted some new material. I got you. I love that he's instigating this shit to be like, but once it's just off me. I would, hey, I would never, but you did. I blame you, but you were like, hey, man, read, yeah, read this shit. Well, I just saw it as I was getting up. Yeah, no, I hear you. No, I ain't, I ain't nobody mad at you. I know. I can tell. Yeah. Yeah. No, it's it's saying, hey, I know I have a relationship with you, but I prefer the adoration of strangers to that. Yeah. So, yeah. Yeah. Hey, well, you know, I'm coming from Eli. Okay. All right. I'm the main instigator. I didn't do shit. How the fuck am I the main instigator here? Y'all always want to put some shit on me. I didn't do a goddamn thing right now. I was in a pit just being a bartender and somehow I'm, I'm starting shit. How did I do that?
No, I didn't got anything to do with you. They got not doing me. I didn't post no pictures. I didn't, I didn't, I didn't turn nobody against each other here. I validated what you say, because you're in the right and you're in the wrong. He's turned up shit. I just can't either. I did not. I did not do that. Don't don't bring Julian. No, no, I was just don't, you were right. Showing me that. Yeah, of course it was. So, hey, man, I don't tell you. How you know back to the show right? This was the show. I don't want to dwell on it. Oh, I know. I know. It was only, I only comment because I said, I said, man, I'll put that out there. Can you show me? I don't know what the hell is this. I said, come on. I mean, I ain't gonna lie. I laugh. Of course. I laugh. You know, if everybody get caught in
the crazy positions, you know, I mean, listen, man, y'all, y'all make memes out of me all the times. You know, I, I'm not going, I'm not going to say anything, but this is between two people where one person, regardless of how I feel about me, I'm public. One person requested another person, not to do it. And not only did they, again, say, fuck you, but they, they, they, they doubled down and said, I don't know, put it up there, but I'm going to encourage people to mock you. Mm-hmm. Yeah. I don't know, man. Oh, well, oh, well, the price of being an internet personality, right? Yeah, but you were on the internet. You say like some shit you did on the show and the comments section took it there. Yo, I know. I know, but you know, people have this whole, well, you're a public figure. You have to expect that. It's like, well, okay, look, if somebody had taken your picture that you didn't know, and then they took it and say, and put it on their social media, maybe, maybe. It's still somewhat inconsiderate, but whatever. You are a public figure, then you are public, people take your picture, whatever. You should respect people's privacy,
but whatever. You know, this, it now being been doing this on the show, like right now, they took a funny frame of you and made something. I mean, we're already out there doing the show, so okay, that's one thing. But this is a friend of yours that came up and said, yeah, look at those stupid asses. And he's like, yeah, cool, man, don't put that out there. Okay, you know what's funny is, I remember I took a goofy ass picture of you and you were wasted. I saw in that last and I showed it to you. I was like, and I posted, you're like, I don't give a fuck, I was like, okay. Again, wrong time. I was wasted. Yeah, wasted, yeah. But you said yes. But I, you know, no, listen, don't you try to see, say you, you were good. You have to bring yourself into this. You were gifted. You were, you, you really didn't. You just give it to me. I was so fucked up. My eyes were going to two different directions and we remember
it because of the photo. And you think I gave you an honest correct answer? Hey, now I've seen that picture when I was stubborn. You better not post that shit. But you just took me, now you took advantage of me. He's like, he said technically yes. See? What do you have to comment over here? Youngsters. Yeah, yeah, youngsters. Yeah, it's a generation all about consent and yet somehow. Yeah. Yeah, no, it's all about consent. Unless they want to make you guys look stupid. Well, no one told you to get shit faced in public. I'm like Martin. See, now you, you see, do you see what happened? You clean. He was good. Nobody, no, man, he was on the sidelines. Everybody was, he even contributed in a good way. And somehow had to turn this around to know it shit is on him. That's a,
and that's a, that's a feat right there. Thank you. You are because you're telling it as honorees amazing. I mean, everything you said, not that it's on the same level, but it's the, it's the basis of why a lot of women don't want to report rape. Yeah. It's not on the same level, but it is that somebody's going to say like, well, you shouldn't have been drunk. I, it would have been fine if he didn't say, well, don't get a fucking drunk in public. All right. Yeah. I'm, I'm going to remember this. You know, I will. Okay. You know, I will. You wonder why I don't want to talk to you. I said in the movies. You wonder why I go the long way around. Boy, he's fucking young. Yeah. Got some goddamn. I don't love. Yeah. Boy, I'm my fucking cosby yoass just so I can take some pictures of you. All right. Let the record show. Oh, this is going to really dark places. All right. Yeah. Let's, let's, let's, let's pull it back. I'm not finishing. No. Yeah. I don't know. I can say although rainbow.
What? What's up with the drink and have one of the gray-looking crazy things? Oh my god. But I didn't do that to you. I was just fucking around. Oh, wait, you didn't do it. Well, I mean, I was just kidding when I said that. Oh, jeez. Okay. Man, you made it sound like he actually did that. Did what? Took pictures of you when you were drunk and posted them. Oh, that's what he did. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, no, not just pictures, fucking video. Yeah. That's what he did. Oh, jeez. That's okay. And I was having fun with it until he turned around saying, this is your fault. All right. I didn't mean that, man. Like, like, like Martin over here, I give you the, in the banker, which means I will remember this. Okay. I hope you do. I'm glad we're making memories. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Well, we got plenty more to make my friends. We just getting stuff. Now drink this shit. Like a nice Disney vacation. We'll make memories.
Goddamn, what these people are. This is what happens. I mean, you raised in the age of just filming, fucking everything. You thought I was bad about this shit. I ain't going to. No, no, you've chilled out on that. Yeah. But if somebody told me not to do it, I wouldn't have been like, okay, you know. And if I want to do it, I just wouldn't ask. That's when you messed up. You didn't say that. Yes. You should have just kept going. No, look at that. Oh, yeah. You know, that's when you know somebody fucked up. They just said no, they're the same man. Reflecting. Yeah, fuck the fuck. Yeah, reflection is good. Yeah. Yeah, all right. To the candy man, pop out this shit. Springfest means more sun, more fun, and more free. It loves. That would have been... I am surprised we didn't have that. What's that? The money in the chat going. Just move on. Oh, yeah. You know, I don't hold right. I think they know now. That's my whole trip to the world. You're right. That's what I was saying to the chat. I was trying to encourage someone to say that shit. Yeah, I'm like, yeah. All right. Let me see. You know, let's all start with what you're trying to do. A good thing here, too.
And, you know, roll the hell's pay with good intentions. That man. I'm going to move on, but I'm just amazed how that man drove into the fire in the middle of the show. Now, people, I'm going to move on, but check with this. Just listen to this right here. This man who was told by a couple of different people do not post that picture, posted it, saw it. Why were the picture that you told them to put up? Why you were sitting here on a live stream? He decided to run over with his phone and say, look at what I did. The shit that Martin told me not to do. And then, it's a surprise when you jump on his ass. But he posted the good ones. He drove straight into hell. And looks satan in the face and said, why is it hiding here? Turn the fan.
Boys, they're saying that. Are you going to do some of this? Are you turning the AC up a little bit? By the way, look at your dumbass. Oh, one doesn't ever cease. Yo, listen. Good times. Good times. So where was it? Oh, yes. I will be back at the Broadway comedy club. Friday, April 17th for a 9 p.m. show. Good news is that there's another show. Bad news is, and it's only bad news if you don't jump on it. Is that there's 15 tickets left. And we still have an over a month to go. So if you do not get your tickets now, there's a chance that you won't get in that show. That show's going to sell out. I mean, I'm just telling you, this is not a ploy or trick. Not a hard sell to get you to buy tickets. This is just a fact of life. 15 tickets left. Get your tickets now. You can get your tickets by going to double toastedny.com.
Oh, you can go to double toasted.com. And hopefully, hopefully, I'll see you soon. I'm going to be a fun show. I was working on some stuff last night. I had a great time. That's a really good time. It's going to be all right now. Let me see what else we got here. Oh, Martin, barbecue. Yes, so barbecue office is going on. Yeah, you know, that's doing that sound. Just do it out of habit, out of habit. But man, man, we had a great time. Things went really well. It was really had fun with you and Carlos coming by at the first night. And then Adam and Elijah the next day, you know, up until the point. Joshua came by too. It's kind of, it's kind of, I mean, you know, I mean, he's a good guy. Joshua. Awesome. No, no, not Joshua. The one who looks like Michael B. Jordan. Oh, Joshua. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, he came by. He was real quiet. I was like back in the cooking area.
And he was back there. I was like, what are you doing back here? And he's like, oh, man. Am I not supposed to be here? Oh, what are you doing here? Yeah, that's something Joshua would do. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't know how long he stayed. But, you know, he popped by for a little bit. Okay, nice. But, yeah, yeah, it was, it was a lot of fun hanging up with you guys there. Yeah, yeah. Joshua, by the way, is the guy, he'll take a, he'll try every alcohol on the shelf. And after each and every one of like, if you look after about four alcohols, if you don't like it, you ain't going like the rest of it. But he'll, he does the same thing. Let me try that. They'll give it to him. He takes a sip, pauses. I was thinking about that. And I was like, man, we got all this alcohol here. It's none of it for him. No, no, no. He tried. Bless his heart. Yeah, bless his heart. He even gave him some of the worst of the worst. I gave him a lort. Of course he went on like that. No, no. Would you give him a frenette, too? No, I wouldn't. I went straight to the hard stuff.
No, I didn't give him a frenette because even I'm starting to like frenette now. I've had it so much. That's right. I've had it so much. It's just, it's used to it now. Yeah, yeah, I've actually had it so much. And I'm not actually trying to act like a, people doesn't alcohol call it frenette. And the first time you have it, you're not going to believe what you just put in your body. It's because it tastes like floor wax or something. It tastes like pine salt or something, man. And the reason why, I don't know why bartenders drink it. That's why I know it. Because every time I've had a bartender friend, they want to do a shot. They do a shot of a net. It's funny because they've had everything so much that they're just bored with it. Well, for what I understand, you have a net before? Maybe. Sounds familiar. I've tried. Oh, you know what if you did. So you have not. Okay, man. Maybe one day I'll give you the, the, the gift of a net. But I think the reason why bartenders do it is because it actually gets you tipsy or drunk or whatever you're looking to do. But let's just say you don't, you're not going to get drunk, but you do want to drink a little bit after you,
after your shift. And you got to drive home in like four in the morning when it cops out there waiting on you. So for net, I think it keeps you breath fresh. Oh, okay. I think it keeps you breath fresh and it's a potent alcohol. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I think that's why they would do it. Okay. Yeah, it doesn't, the smell doesn't come off your breath like other alcohols. Okay. But I've had it so much now just by, hang on with bartenders. Yeah, because they don't, you know, they just get it sometimes. They say you want to do a shot. Now I ask you what you do sometimes. They just get it. And then you drink it and you're like, well, they bought, I'm going to drink it anyway. And you know, I'm wanting to never turn down the drink anyway. You know that. So I've, I've had it enough to where, man, so you start disliking something so much that you start trying to wonder, well, how can I like it? And you start trying to sew it out and compartmentalize the flavors. And I've started to recognize the, the more refreshing part of it, so the pepperminty side of it, instead of the other floor wax. Sure, sure.
So, so I've learned to like it, you know, maybe it's just like any other alcohol, you know, when you start drinking whiskey, anything, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's terrible. Yeah, right, right. Yeah, first whiskey is like, oh, how can anybody like this? But over time, you know, your palate starts to discern all the different flavors. Yeah, yeah. That's what happened with that. So I actually liked for that now. I'll, I'll get the, get shots of it with certain people who like it. I looked it up. It says it's a digestive, so I guess it's something after like the meal. I think I've had it before. It looks kind of like wine. No, at least in that picture it does. Oh, you know what? Maybe. Yeah, yeah, I guess so. Yeah, yeah. I don't know why I've always thought it was clearer. But yeah, I guess that's it. Yeah, little alcohol education for the people out there. From Professor Drunkass over there. Yeah, that's same for me with black coffee. No, black coffee. Black coffee, whiskey, IPAs.
Yeah. All those things didn't like them at first, but go with time. With you added more, you shame me the other day. You're still drinking that water. Not when I drink an IPA boy beer. Yeah. That's what you said you were to say. Hey, if you can learn to love for net, you can love to learn IPAs. I just meant, you know what? I like IPAs. Now we're going to give you a lesson in beer. IPAs are very happy, which means they're very bitter. And my thing with them is that a whole bunch of people who love beer, love IPAs, and I get is very flavorful. Yeah, they make hazing ones and all kinds of flavors. I just, that bitterness is just not for me. Yeah. I like, I like, uh, and I'll drink an IPA. It's just not my go-to. Okay. Yeah, that's fair. My favorite is sour beers, which I discovered in Austin. Yeah, I love that. And see, that's, that's one where I like, I can't crack that nut. See, that's, I'm with you. And again, I recognize everybody's palate is different. I love sour beers. Yeah, there's one out there. It's a dogfish head. It's called Pistina Pesh. It's amazing. Have you ever been to Jessica?
Not always. Oh, you would love it. Oh, I bet. If they have a lot of sour beers, I would. Yeah. Dude, Martin, did, would you like a sour beer if it had more of a fruity tang to it? Kind of a sweet, slight sweetness to it. Maybe. It's just, it's so much like kombucha. Okay. And, and some kombucha are, are very sweet. But so many of them just taste like carbonated pickle juice. And some people don't like either one of them. I hate IPAs in sour beers, since when I'm Johnny. Okay. He says, I just, also in 14 years old. See, that's the shit I'm talking about. I said, that's the shit I'm talking about. I'm a little prick to my brain. You see? That's what I just mean on the face. Oh. Something you just like domestic. Somebody said, why don't you take Julian to that bar that you discovered? Yeah, let's do, really wants me to tell you this story, man. Of what happened? I'll do this and then I'll move on. Yeah, yeah, you didn't tell the story. No, I heard this story. Okay, you prior. Yeah, I heard it.
And then the guy's like, it was what I did. Well, no, see what you know. Okay, why are you going to spoil? I thought you told him already. You're the one that comes out of the six cents that tells everybody who's supposed to ghost. Oh, shit, he is. Did you get this? I'm just going to spoil some of these times. No, I was, I'll give you the bridge version of this. This guy really wants me to tell you this story, right? Hussie dude wants me to tell you this. I went to my spot. My cocktail place last Sunday and I sat down and there was this guy that was sitting next to me. The bartender even came over and said, hey, you guys know each other, right? And I was like, no, I don't think I've ever seen this guy before. Well, I'm surprised to hear that because you guys are regulars here. You hear all the time. You've never crossed paths. I said, maybe, but I've never seen him before. And so we made each other guy. I shook his hand. I said, man, he's like, hey, what is that you're drinking? I said, I'm drinking the mezcal soda. That's crazy. I'm drinking the mezcal soda. I was like, okay. Okay. All right.
That's the way, you know, you like that guy here? What are you doing? You're not hanging out here. Like, we can leave him. What do you do? And I'll go over to Casino Camino. Get a burger sandwich. That's crazy. I too. Go to Casino Camino and get a burger or sandwich. All right, well, okay. All right, okay. And then we just start talking. That's like, he's like, uh, and the guy even came over and asked him, like, did you like that uh, just like the Guinness I gave you last week? Yeah, I said, yeah, I like that. I like to finish the night with a Guinness. Right? I like to finish the night with a Guinness. Hey, we're like best friends. I mean, okay. Yeah, you're fucking with me here. Uh, dude, I was like, I was like that. Like, look, get out of here, man. I was like, stop this. He's like, no, really, man. It's like, we're best friends. And so he even though he's some of the girls that were on that work, the like, okay, I was happening up here. Is this performance hard? But I was like, okay, but he's like, hey, listen. You want to hang in there? And I was like, I guess he's like, man, so there's his bar. And the barters were like, oh, he's going to tell you about, and I'm not going to hang the bar.
Look, he's going to tell you about this, that, that place is a shit hole, man. I was like, okay, but you guys were talking great about it last week. Well, that was last week. I'm telling you right now, that place is a shit. You want to go with this guy, that's fine. That guy's like, I mean, hey, look, man. I don't want to say anything. But it's a, it's an all right place if you've never been there before. And I said, okay, I've never been there before. Let's, let's go. And he said, all right. Well, listen, before we do this, I got, I kind of have a ritual. I got the night kind of mapped out. If you want to, if you just want to go to a little venture or something, I was like, okay. Me, the guy at a bar going to a venture. Sorry, but I can do it out all the time, I guess. So he said, yeah, listen, so what I do is, I go to this one bar, I get a shot of this, and then I go to this other bar, and I get a cocktail there. And then I go to this other bar right here, and then I get the Guinness that we're talking about. And I was like, and then I end of night at the bar that they're talking about. And I was like, okay, okay. So we hit the, we hit the streets. And we do just what he says. We go to a place across the street,
we get the shot. And then we go to this other place, that's a few doors down, we get the cocktail there. Is this an egg or right movie? And then we get to, and then we get to this other spot, and he's like, yeah, and that's what we're going to have the big finisher with a Guinness before we go to the spot that, that we were talking about. And I was like, okay, and we do all of that just as he called it out. But everywhere we go, like I go to the place where they have the shot. And he says, now listen, just let me get this, okay, because it's just best that I pay for it. I mean, you know, I kind of know me right here. And I was like, all right. So we get to the other place we bought some cocktails, and he'd been paid for my tab all night, even at the other place. And then, so we get to the place with the cocktails. I'm like, hey, man, let me go ahead and get this. I hate to do this, but it's best if I pay for it, because I, you know, they kind of look right here. It's not going to charge you as much. I was like, okay, all right.
We go to the place with the Guinness. I'm like, man, look, it's just a Guinness. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Let me go ahead. I hate to say, yeah, yeah, no, yeah, but you know we're better out. Hey, if you want to fucking pay for a pay for it. I'm sort of thinking like, let's do this, taking me all these places. He's paying up everything. And then finally, we'll get ready to go to this, this last magical place. Now to get there, it's probably best we get a Uber. I'm like, oh, hell, this is trying to fuck me, man. Right, right. Yeah, I'm like, oh, shit. I'm like, not to be a homophobicated thing, but and with me, I'm like, well, if I tell him, no, and he bought me all these drinks, then I'm going to see him ungrateful. But I don't know if he, if one of these drinks is drugged and when I get into, you know, but I mean, maybe he's just being careful. Y'all have had a lot of drinks. Yeah, we did, we did. But so we, I said, well, shit, man, you know, really, I don't want to be rude. Maybe and I don't want to be these guys that's just being that presumptuous to where I'm just being kind of homophobic now. You know, let me just go ahead and do this. And so we ride over there, man.
It's not even that far away, but we ride over there and, you know, and shit, there's one more. We went down to dark street, and I'm like, oh, shit. Hey, bruh. But I was like, all right, a little bit, let's get there. And we get there. And I, I, we get out the car. And then we're walking up to the bar. I was like, okay, so there is a bar. Okay, I guess that's a great sign. Yeah. Can you tell me where it's located? Yeah, it's, uh, Cesar Chavez. Okay. He's. Cesar Chavez. Okay, okay. But, uh, so we get out. So there's a bar. Okay, that's, that's great. Good sign right there. But then he, you know, the Uber leaves. And we're about, I'm about to walk to the bar. He stops me. And he says, Cory, listen, I haven't been completely. Oh, no, honest with you tonight. And I'm about to look at him. And I'm glad he's saying it. I'm about to say, I'm straight. I'm not going to fuck you, man. All right. But then, but then before I can say anything, he's like, it's just, just, just hear me out, man.
What I haven't told you tonight is that the bar that we're going to is belongs to me on the order the whole time. I was like, I have to fuck him up. Wow. Wait, he owned the other bars too. No, just, just when he says one, he says he's, since he owns a bar, he's good industry people. You know, he goes and knows everybody in these bars. But he's like, I own the bar. The whole time. And I was like, oh, fuck, I'll be taking it. I just, come back. But no, no, I'm like, okay. Well, shit, I guess first of all, there's a couple of good things. One, I'll have to turn this guy down and things get awkward. Right, right, right, right. And two, so you've been paying for everything. He's been paying for everything. This is just fucking bar. Right, right. Well, I'm like, well, I know, gun guy down. Well, you ain't going to make me pay for anything. Don't pull. Now, that'll be the real twist. Right, right, right, right. Now, here's your Guinness. That'll be 25 dollars. Yes, yes. The real twist. I mean, you've been paying my drinks all night.
I get it now. I get a $200 towel, right? Oh, fuck, oh, I gotta confess. I lifted your credit card at the first card. And I'm a handful on these drinks, but you put your card. But then I went in there and no, he paid for everything. You say, hey, try this cocktail. You like this? You like that? I was fucked up about time I got there. Yeah, I bet. Yeah, I was like, yeah, I was shot today. And yeah, like we were there, because you know, it's his bar. Yeah. So we're there after, you know, everybody leaves, man. And so, you know, I look up at him after everybody's gone. And I still have that last drink on my hand. And I'm looking at him, I was like, I feel woozy. Hey, Cory, how those drink drink drink drink? You, man, you, you drunk me? No, that drinks in my room. I mean, I'm still the bucket. No. You start falling down. You see him putting on rubber gloves. Alrighty, ready? No, it was fun.
It was a good, no, you didn't know the guy was cool, right? And I actually do think, I actually do think I met that guy before. Yeah, I've seen him. That didn't meet him. So when the guys at the, at your spot were saying like, oh, that bar is trash, they were just fucking with him. Yeah, okay. Yeah, yeah, that's the whole thing. They're like, they were just messing with him when he's talking because he was, one of the bartenders had mentioned that they had done a pop-up at his place. And I had asked him. I said, how did it go? And then they saw him sitting there like, oh, yeah, please, the shit, oh, man. Oh, okay. So that's why he was like, well, let me show you a good time, sir. Wow. Yeah, all this just to get a new customer. He did. Yeah, sounds like a word. Yeah, no, it was, no, it was, it was cool. Yeah, no, it was, it was, it was fun, man. It was a lot of fun. Big place, no, no, not a big place at all. No, it's actually kind of have a, it has a neighborhood bar field too. It used to be a pizza place if I remember. Okay. If you remember anything like that,
it used to be a pizza place over there, one of those fancy pizza places and now it's closed and now it's kind of a neighborhood bar. The way he described it is, it's, they have special cocktails without the special cocktail prices. Oh, okay. So I'll take you all this and that. That's a rarity, yeah. Yeah, yeah, it was nice. Yeah, it was real nice, man. Yeah, yeah, man, let me see here. There were, somebody said there were vampires at the end of it. They'd lock the door. I'm saying, I'm tearing to the wood. Who's that there? Orion's angel. Different Nathan. They said he's going to a blade theme rave. Who's that? Nathan? Okay. Yeah, that's like a thing. Yeah, like, all they do it on the regular. Yeah, I've seen them all over the country. Yeah. Blood raves. Blood raves, yeah. Yeah, somebody else told me they were going to death. Which Nathan? Not, not, um, not, not Felix, Nathan Flynn.
Okay. Oh, thank, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Nathan would go some crazy. You would go. Yeah, exactly. No, I go with a real vampire. On his fake shit. So no one's going to bite me, huh? Yeah, you can actually shit off me. I'm going somewhere where I get, I want a good turn. You can turn. All right. Look, I do it almost. Turned out. Uh, blood raves an actual cave. I think to, uh, maybe that's where they're going to party. I don't know. Let's see here. All right, John. Let's go and get into this real quick. Jump into this. Any other events going on, sir? No, that's it. I mean, I'll be tied up with South by South of the West for about a week or so. Probably have to miss the Oscar show. Oh, no. Well, that's next Sunday. Mm-hmm. What you got miss Oscar show? What's going on? Because they got me working. Like, I'm going to be at work work most of the weekend.
And if not, I might work. And if not, I'm getting pressured to be at my aunts birthday party in Houston. Excuse me for a moment. Hell no, I'm not doing that. Somebody said go to a Shrek rave. No hell no. Yeah, that's another thing. There's lots of themed raves out there. Okay, I, you know what? I'm going to fight the urge to ask. No, I'm not. Why do you do it a Shrek rave? They're pretty cool looking like they have like a visualizer that is just Shrek and it's like kind of scary, you know? Like it flies us. It's just a regular rave, but like every once in a while, like before the beat drops, you'll hear him go, why are you in my swamp? Like shit like that. I thought I'd give a good answer. You know, you know, you know what we were doing. You okay? You okay? You're nothing to get you. You're nothing to get a great answer. That's why Paul said that. Both of them were looking at the floor like, oh my god. It just sound okay. No, no way. I have no commentary. Somebody said I could go as donkey. You mean myself? Shrek, everybody!
You're in the butt! I actually sounded like a Nokia. I'm believe it. I don't need to dress up like a bucket to be an ass. There it is. There it is. Back around black ass. Always comes back to black ass. Third base. All right, John, let's go ahead and get into what we came here to do. White umbrella. Gone, preaching. Yes. Yes. Get into this sermon today. Yes. Praise the Lord. Oh, right. So, we've seen a lot of parody movies lately. When I say a lot, there's only been like a couple, but in such a short amount of time. And we've seen enough to kind of see what works for us and what doesn't. Because one of these parodies was damn near perfect.
I am the Clown Wall, or anybody who sells drugs in our community. But like dynamite, I'll sell drugs in the community. Class of line right there. And classic parody movie, Black Dynamite. We did that a couple of weeks ago and it was better than last time I remembered. You know, what worked for this and what we were talking about during that review, that retro review, we were talking about how it made fun of but paid respect to a film genre. And it focused on making fun of the format and the style of filmmaking, while also just paying homage to it. Instead of relying on references to current trends that are out there are popular things at the time, which it doesn't always age well. You leave the audience going. The new audience going, wait, what was that about? Like the one that we saw a few weeks before that, which is on the opposite in a Black Dynamite. We saw a parody that relied on nothing but popular trends out there.
Gosh! That's enough. You get the point. That's date movie kicked off the movie with that. They shouldn't did. That's one of those freeberg and salsa movies. If you don't know those guys, they always get these parody movies that end in movie, date movie, epic movie, superhero movie. The only ones that weren't like that with the spot was just meet the Spartans. You know, you get the point with those films right there. Those are some of the most hated movies by me. I cannot stand those films. You know, I have no love for those movies at all. You know, what they do is that they just, as you saw right here, they just laughed at the thing that, hey, just came out. Hey, remember that thing that came out a couple of weeks ago everybody's talking about, which will not be talked about in two years? It's resulting in something that lays this form of quarter-quote comedy that is out there, man. And a lot of the stuff that was funny in that was unintentional. Like, we were just able to laugh at it because
it's a funny puppet or like funny small man. Yeah, yeah, that's what we did a roast because we laughed at everything that you weren't supposed to laugh at. I guess it's better to get laughed than nothing else. Right. I love that cat. I can't take a shit here. Yeah, you know, it's a bad puppet. They want you laughing at the shit joke. No, we laughed at this shit puppet right there. But parody movies, they kicked off to a whole new era. And what is it that kicked that new era off? What is it that started this new trend of spook movies out there? Has it crossed your mind that your boyfriend was murdered and your next? No way! They didn't make the rules. Oh my god, he's dead! They're just too stupid to follow them. We have to call the police. No way! I ain't going to get it. It's okay, I'm fine. We'll get rid of the body. I'm going to tell you how to rules to survive this situation.
Who number what? Don't answer the phone. I'm in the house. You're behind the couch. Y'all know this by now. This is scary movies. The first one, it came out in 2000. This is a huge hit. By the end of his run, it made $200 million, over $200 million worldwide. And that was 26 years ago. So by today's standard, that would be even more. Oh yeah, you adjusted for inflation. I don't know how much, but it'd be much higher. You always see people say that, adjusted for inflation. So yeah, this made crazy money at the time. But what really set this apart is that it was way more crude than some of the others that came out. Even those free-break-and-sells of movies were pretty gross. Now, this one really pushed the limits of an R rating because of the sex humor that was in it. And this made it a hit with a lot of young audiences out there,
especially younger teenage audience. Not teenagers, younger teenagers, because this was the movie that they watched to get away with something. It was the movie they weren't supposed to watch. It's that movie you watch later on to sneak it on at a slumber party. Are you paid for another movie to walk into this movie right here? I remember when this came out on VHS. My friend was like, do you got to come over? My sister just brought scary movie on VHS. First R rated movie I saw when I was nine years old. Is that right? Yeah. It was brilliant. Yeah, a lot of people with kids at the time. Yeah, they were. I remember that this movie was one of the first movies that I knew of that was mass bootleg that was downloaded. Because these savvy young kids who knew more about the internet than their parents, they were downloading this movie and watching it on the slide. You remember Don? Don Smith, my old boss? Oh, yeah. Yeah, he died. My old boss, Don, we just get exasperated a lot of things.
And I remember what that caught him. And I was like, Don, what's wrong? It's my kids. Somehow they got a hold of that scary movie. And I got it helpful. So we were like, Oh, you don't want to want to. Don, you should leave right now. Yeah, you're an awful parent, Don. You're slipping, man. How could you let this happen? Yeah, man. But it also relied at the time on a lot of now old references. And with the new scary movie that's coming out, how does this hold up? Because I haven't seen this in over 10 years. I haven't seen this probably since the early 2000s. Right. It's going to get wild. I mean, I feel like the most shocking thing about this movie is that it was funny because it did not seem like it would be. And it was. Well, we'll see about that because I don't know. You know, holding up over all these years. Yeah, you know, I'm the hardest one on these spoof movies right here.
Because I've been through it with these, that freeberg and sales, they made me extra sensitive. So let's go ahead and get into it and see these two judgment here seem to like it. How do I feel about this? That's what really matters right now. And do we care? Let's go. Why can't I ask that man? I don't know. I don't care. I don't care. Let's restart this whole thing. What have you ever cared? There's no surprise. So this is really a spoof of two movies. Scream. And I know what you did last summer. And both of those are by Kevin Williams and the scripts are by Kevin Williams, who kind of created this whole new trend of late 90s and I guess early 2000 horror movies. Yeah, slasher. Yeah, new ages, slasher movies. A lot of it. Well, even Dustin's Creek with the writing that was, you know, where the teenagers were smart. Yeah, yeah. He brought, he did a lot of writing for teenage characters,
where the teenage characters were, you know, if they were stupid, it was because it serves some sort of plot. But most of the, most of the time the characters were pretty clever. They were, you know, memorable. They were smart. And he applied that to the slasher genre too. Until that guy had a control in it. This episode is brought to you by Athletic Brewing Company. No matter how you do the game day, on the couch in the crowd, or manning the snack table, Athletic Brewing fits right in. With a full lineup of non-alcoholic beer styles, you can enjoy bold flavors all game-long. No hangovers, no buzz, no subbing out for water in the second half. Stuck the fridge for tip-off with a variety of non-alcoholic craft styles available at your local grocery store or online at athleticbrewing.com. Near beer, fit for all times. I mean, you have this spoof right here. Yeah, you can't keep it up forever. Yeah, it was, you know what, it was rife for spoofing. Yeah, yes it was. So, for the first few seconds of this movie,
I did laugh. And I laughed because, look, I don't know if this was a normal purpose or not, but that ghost-faced voice had me laughing, man. He sounded like Andy Dickett first time. Yeah, I thought. Yeah, no, that voice sounded crazy. Hello. Wanna have a little fun? Man, that sounds like a chain-smoking old woman. Yeah, right. Darling, you wanna have a fun? God of the store and pick auntie off some cigarettes. Like that. I was like, now I'm gonna say that they probably made that funny on purpose. So, I did laugh at that, but it was no time getting into what I thought were age references and crude humor. Because it opens up with the it girl that you just saw right there. Carmed the lecture. You know, she was everywhere back at that time. You know, she was that it girl that people put in there because she was fine as hell. And everybody was talking about it. And she, you know, was guaranteed to give boys a heart on immediately, you know, so. Hey, it worked. Yeah, yeah.
That's all they had in the sky. Yeah, like books, video games, movies, you name it, she was there. So it opens up with something that's kind of more popular at that time than it is now. And also opens up with, they don't waste no time. Putting a fart joke in there. What's that noise? I farted. I didn't think you would hear me. You're how you not hear me. Big wet fart too. And I'm like, here we go, man. And I did laugh at some other jokes that were actually considered to be our, I don't know, you can argue that they are dated at the time. Listen, asshole. You've had your fun. Now you better stop or else. Or else what? Or else my boyfriend's going to be here any minute. And he's black and he'll kick your ass. Oh, really? Yeah. You mean the one who wears makeup and dresses like a woman? How do you know? Turned a porch lights on.
Help! First of all, Prince Ain't Black. At least not right there. That's a damn Puerto Rico. I didn't know black dude. Doesn't look like a mad ball. No, mad at all. Second of all, I mean, it's short. I laugh, but am I laughing because I know it's Prince. With this work with younger people today, I would love to observe room of young 20-somethings. Looking at this and seeing how they would react to that joke right there. So I'm already getting the feeling that this didn't age well. Well, I'll tell you, when I was re-watching this, that did not read to me as Prince. Like, I didn't even pick up on that. Really? Did you think it was that symbol on this? Yeah, I just thought like, oh, I mean, I was watching on my phone because like, I was at the show. But who do you think that was? I just thought that it was some other guy who wasn't her boyfriend. I just laughed. I was like, oh, guy, looks funny. We got this Puerto Rico from Cirque du Soleil. Yeah, I was just like, what the fuck? Well, then you go see.
You laugh, but you see what I was saying? You wouldn't even know it was Prince. Yeah. You know, so that's already kind of dated right there. And so now I'm looking at this, and I'm thinking, I'm already getting the feeling, man, that we are in Freeberg, and sell it's a territory. This is a little bit better. I mean, these guys are the worst. So this is not as low, but we are in that area. But then there were jokes that came along right after that, and I thought, okay, you know, I'm sitting up here being really sensitive about dated jokes. And I started noticing that they were doing things that weren't relevant to humor. And it's something that I like more of my parodies. The stuff that can work in any time period, like when Carmen Electra's character was doing the Jiffy Popcorn. Yeah. And the bag gets bigger. You know, that was funny, man. They were doing things, playing with her. Now, this is something that doesn't just rely on Carmen Electra. This could be any hot chick.
I like that when she was running from the killer. Running for How Life. That sprinkler sister came on in. And I was like, damn, that's the agents right there. So I guess that's the first moment that wasn't in the version I watched because I watched it on YouTube. That scene wasn't in there. That's not really. No, that one wasn't in there. I saw her running on the treadmill, but it skipped that. Oh, okay. Yeah, I don't know why that's so offensive. Yeah, me either. Checking on a bikini running. I thought it was funny that she did some humor at her own expense. You know, run the breast and plant. That's pretty funny, man. Especially when ghost face takes it off the knife. And then he'd come back to her and everything's fully in touch. Like, she just had another one that was in there, a spare. See, that kind of humor to me is why classics, like something we talked about last week, classics like airplane. That's why that works. Because airplane, it wasn't like picking specific movies.
It just made fun of a sub genre, disaster film. Sure. It made fun of the format. It wasn't taking like, hey, remember that movie when they did this specific thing? Well, this is also because it's centered on just two movies and not every slashing movie that came out. It stays focused. Yeah, but it's still centered on movies. Like airplane is just, today you can look at it and not have to know anything about disaster movies or that trend at the time for this to work. Can you fly this plane and land it? Robert Hayes. Surely you can't be serious. I am serious and don't call me Shirley. You know, there's loads and so on. It was silly humor. Yeah, yeah, silly this. But exactly. Even that film has some very specific references like that aren't like, uh, disaster movies. Like, there's one scene where it turns into Saturday Night Fever. Oh, that's right. Oh, that's right. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It goes on a whole aside with that. Yeah. And if you've never seen Saturday Night Fever, you don't know where this is coming from.
That is very true. That is very true. Well, I stand corrected. And I forgot about the Dennis Robman Slash Prince joke, but I laughed pretty hard at that. Because even when he was described as a black guy, when just like a woman, I was like, well, which one of the two of them are they talking about? Yeah. Yeah, I've got that reason of reference to Dennis Robman. I've got that whole thing. So you do something now. I didn't even remember. You know, man, there are things in here. Where, you know, I really started laughing hard because this is directed by Kim and Ivory Williams. And of course, I mean, you know, Kim and Ivory Williams are around. They bring his brothers in there. Got Marlon Williams, Sean Williams. So this is seen as a Williams Brothers production right here. And this, I think at the time that they were doing this, scary movie was modernized also to reflect their sense of humor. Because it seems like it's the best part, some of the, some of the, some of the humor here, because they, they did a lot of the writing on this.
Some of the best parts seems like it's a reflection of their show in living color. Right. Where you had all kind of people springboard from that. Anywhere from Jennifer Lopez to Jamie Foxx to Jim Carey. You know, a lot of people came from that. And that show was very funny, man. And they had a lot of humor that extended from that show to here because there was a lot of racial humor. That actually worked in here and still kind of works today. See, that's, you know, they, they did almost what scary movie was doing. I mean, I'm sorry, screen. Where screen was, was making fun of the rules of horror movies. They actually kind of did that too in their own way. Where, you know, black people, they don't want to be around because they're going to be the first to die. We put it live for black TV. White folks are dead. We're getting the fuck out of here. Let's go, damn it. Let's go, let's go. What the fuck? I love that. That, that, that, see, there's a lot of stuff that just had me just, I don't remember a lot of these things, man. And I just start laughing really hard. Sure. A lot of these jokes that would catch me off guard. That whole thing with, now it's an old joke.
But back then, this worked. The whole thing I'm calling 911. And they'll rush out if it's a white woman. That's a great editing job right there. Yeah. It's not even them driving. It's them pulling up. Like they were there in seconds. Man, there's a, now one joke I do remember in here. Because some of this stuff, I don't even remember what I thought about the movie at the time. I think I thought it was good. I'd be honest with you. I don't know of you. I want to find that review and put it up and let me know. But I don't even remember when I gave this. But there is one joke in there. There's some stuff that I'd quote to this day. But I think I did this. I think I did a couple of days ago when I was at the barbecue place. Oh, yeah. At the barbecue festival with you. That line where she tried to give that homeless man a sandwich. Oh, yeah. No, no, I've had to say the dollar, bitch. Man, I give Bums money to this digs. I don't want to get hit and have a sandwich. I know people who had that happen to them.
The good. Yeah. It's hilarious. It should happen more. Yeah, it happened to my friend. He gave him a bummer apple when he hit him in the bed. Oh, what? Oh, shit. Don't give a bum a can of something. Yeah, right. Knock your ass. Just a wolf branch. Oh, that's a classic line right there, man. Also, I didn't realize how observant some of these jokes were at the time. Because we joke about how these teenagers that cast, they're really like 20 years old and 30 years old. I thought we thought of that. It turns out that this movie was on top of it back in the day. Yeah, yeah. They cast people in the late 20s, early 30s to play out. I mean, it's funny because the whole time I'm watching it, I'm thinking like, man, he's been, how they going to play them off as teenagers? And then they had that scene right there. I did the same thing, Martin.
I was saying, look at them. Cassney, 30 years old, the movie was like, yeah, we know bitch. You idiot, but there's another purpose. It's the joke. There's a, there's two jokes in particular that they keep hitting over and over. And I was like, at first, it was funny. I was like, damn, y'all keep doing this. And they both have really good payoffs to where I was like, all right. We'll probably get into that in a little bit. Say that and see if we get into it, man. Needless to say, I'm laughing hard at this. I'm talking about how some of these jokes are classic. Pieces of human that have lasted over the years. So this movie is not as dated as I thought it was. I thought it would be, especially when I started watching that at the beginning. I'm looking at this. I'm surprised at how much of this really is working. Now, there's some stuff in that doesn't work for me, but for the most part, as you said, this is 26 years ago. And I'm pretty impressed how much this is really working. And a lot of is not just because of the writing.
Yeah, the writing has a lot to do with it. But I think they did some great casting here. The casting is better than I thought. And I know a lot more about them now than I did back then because, of course, I'm researching this, I'm reading up on this. And I didn't realize that Anna Ferris was pretty much unknown. Oh, yeah, I don't remember what she was in before this. Yes, when she wasn't in anything. So this was the first thing. Yes, she was hired because Keith and I were waiting to thought that there was sort of this innocence to her and thought that she was just naturally funny. Yeah. And she is, man, the thing I like about her is that she's not just funny. She arms wide open, embraces the silliness. And she's like a funny little, you ever seen like a fun little kid? You know, they're not doing anything too stupid for attention. They're actually generally funny, but they're still kind of childlike in it.
That's what she's like, man, because she does these drama scenes in here where she intentionally makes them bad, where she intentionally just overacts. We all see the scene where somebody gets mad and they try to, you know, they up and pump out the scene sometimes run away and that person's like, please, no, wait, come back. And she sees not only how cliche that is, but how stupid it is now. And she just does something to just make it even sillier. I'm sorry. If my complicated life is an inconvenience to your perfect existence. Cindy. Cindy. Stop. Bro, don't like she's drunk. I love that. I love that, man, she's charming in this. Yeah, yeah. I can see why they actually chose her. They got another scene where she just makes fun of this other dramatic cliche where somebody's just yelling up in the sky. What do you want? Oh, yeah. What do you want? What are you waiting for? What do you want? What are you waiting for? I know what you did last time. I always with Jennifer Love you and going, come on.
Yeah, and that's what she's doing. Yeah. What are you waiting for? What are you waiting for, huh? What are you waiting for? What are you waiting for? What am I waiting for? What am I waiting for? What are you waiting for? Yeah. That was a duke. I was about to commit suicide. I teach you just had it with these kids. And they were about to talk them down. Did you came out there with a crazy ass? What are you waiting for? What are you waiting for? Love that, man. Regina Hall. Oh, she's actually in my favorite scene in the whole movie. This is probably the biggest highlight for a lot of reasons. But one, it refers to a big scene that happened in the sequel, Screen 2. For another, this is what people wish they could be. It's a society that's shut up in a theater. And black people even accept this.
This is a stereotype. Yeah, we do this. We don't like it either. Well, I think more black people cheering than white people for the scene right here. It's where Regina Hall, who plays the boyfriend of Shawn Wayne's in here. Yeah, she cannot shut up in a theater, man. Of her fame, or where I am in here. There ain't no me. I don't feel a hair right here. You mind. I know you better get out of my face. Out of my face. Out of my face. This is all me up in here. You handle that. You shut the fuck up. Oh, no. This movie is good. Hey, baby. You came back just in time. She's about to get it all with Shakespeare. To get it to Shakespeare. And these people are sick of her, man. Yeah, that's how they, man. That was the, that's the great parody of the scene where the, the, because they made fun of black people dying at the beginning of the movie. And scary, I mean, I'm sorry. I screamed too. And so they found a way to spoof that, you know,
really clever way. People are so sick of her talking. The movie ghost phase was like, well, I was about to kill it. But everybody else said, I don't want to grab that man. No, I got this. You're taking too long. Get down. Oh, shut up. Oh, you are a bastard. He could be crushed. My wife, my wife, what's your movie? They got this. Yeah. Check the flow, Jackie Chan's movie. You're fucking nice. And make Mama's house. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. She's coming. And they go back to watching movie in peace. Shout out to the casting director cause all those extras were really well casted. Their faces and all their performances were amazing. Yeah. And they really sold the shit out of that. Yeah. Well they just let her go for a long time. And I was like, wow, I'm hitting you
and then laughing my ass off at the same time. Yeah, yeah, man, what really made this satisfying is that she ruined a lot of movies. She was in Shimmel's list. Yeah. She was the future of her shit. She was at a lot of Jackie Chan movies. She ruined the movie for a lot of people. What you all mad about that? They don't even get together at the end. Yeah. Yeah, that is probably the biggest highlight for a lot of you. That's your favorite song? Yeah. Yeah, and I forgot it was in there. I was like, I think that's something and rewatching it all left so hard. Yeah. Yeah. I did too. And I forgot how good Shining Elizabeth was in this. Shining Elizabeth, who she's the American podcast girl. Everybody kind of took her for granted as oh, she's the hot chick that just takes a close off. And turns out, man, she's actually a really funny comedic actress. She hasn't acted in a long time, but she's really good in this.
There's a scene where she's in a beauty pageant. And her talent is to come out and give a dramatic reading. And it's very convincing because of something that's going on. Get out of it! Get out! Oh my God! Get out of here! Somebody do something! Somebody do something! He's killing you! He's killing you! He's killing you! He's being a ritual beast. He's killing you! Oh, he's killing you! He's killing you! She's good. And you think she's going to be traumatized, but she gave such a good performance. And that was a boyfriend that was getting killed. But she gave such a good performance. Everybody's like, no, you won. They're calling your name. I want it. I want it. They're calling your name! Go! Buffy, what happened? Buffy, what happened? purchases. Oh, folks, I want to thank Factor for sponsoring this portion of Sean. I want to thank all of you out there for your support. All right, let's get back into Scarre movie. But the one thing you didn't mention in that scene, and it speaks to the entire film, it's just the attention to detail with visual gags, like her sash saying misflation. I saw it. Yeah. And there's like a motif in this film about sucking dick, but I'll get to that later. Yeah. Yeah. I'm not kidding. Uh, man, continue with the cast, uh, Sean Wayne's. I thought he was funny, man, this is because he's very funny, man, he's my favorite character in the franchise. Yeah, Ray. And by the way, this is Sean Wayne's idea. He's the one that had that idea first, and then started writing it with his brothers, and then Kim and Ivy Wayne's came in and directed. There's even a whole thing about how they were developing a spoof of scary movie while at the same time, free breaking salsa, we're developing a spoof for, I know what you did last summer.
Uh-huh. And Miramax at the time bought both of them. And if you, the pencil who you asked, the way is what pissed because they didn't use any of the jokes that free breaking salsa have written, but they got a writing credit. Um, and I can believe that because, uh, you believe me, if you know a free breaking salsa movie, you can spot that joke easily. Sure. It's the one that you don't laugh at. It's the one that's not a joke. Yeah. It's the one that, hey, look at this. You remember that? Uh-huh. But Sean Wayne is, uh, man, he's hilarious than this. He's very funny. But wait. There's more. Hey, go to your seat, baby, because this one's a screamer. He wouldn't even know why he's doing that voice. I don't care. Well, it's the Matthew Lillard. Yeah. Yeah. But Matthew Lillard even talked like that. But I don't care, man, that's funny. Yeah. I know he's doing the overacting thing. That Matthew Lillard does. Well, I say overacting. I'm not saying he's bad. No, no, just at the end of scream, that's what... Yeah. Yeah, in that moment, he's really chewing on the scene.
No, he is. He is. He really is. But spit coming out this mouth is everything. Look at him. Crazy. Look at him. Look at him, ferret. Look at him. Look at him, ferret. Look at that dumb bandage on his ear. Look at him, baby, just watch. Yeah, yeah. Look at him. Uh, now I do have a critique of his character right here. Uh, it's... They do a lot of gay jokes with him and it did start out funny. Hey, oh dog But this sure make me look gay Now I'm now About now Now cool, yeah, you know what's funny about that is that Let me see here Oh, long is that about you take one guys don't forget elections Tuesday God damn it. Oh, way better hold on about now. Okay, so you see him with the shirt on right there and The very next shot he went
I don't think they did that on purpose man Yeah, I think that there's a lot of jokes that the lot of gay jokes that just forced in there that a lot of those jokes didn't appeal to me Now I don't know if this is what you were talking about it is what I was talking about because because I was exhausted by I was like Do they have to do this every time and then there's a payoff that I almost choke when it got to that And it does at a point it's like okay enough man We get it, you know, and the jokes just get layman and layman But then you realize okay, they were leading up to something. That's right. Oh, yeah, I'm gay In case you haven't noticed someone's right What I am gay Yeah, that's what that's the big reveal at the movie. It doesn't make any sense really And then the joke at the end of that scene that is also a gay joke is pretty funny But Shawn Wayne is just the way he delivered that what's that's what I
Like subtle look over like what And then proceeds to describe gay things We made it time we did it you suck my day guy Like get the fuck out of here with that gay shit So they play good music What about our trip to San Francisco that I wanted to go shopping But you may love to me. No, oh first of all you some mind Man even the supporting cast was funny here Sherry O Terry. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Terry O Terry
Yeah, there's a real funny scene in there her character is a takeoff on the Courtney Cox character, right? Right. No, she's she's so funny in this. Oh, no, she's a Larry's in this But there's one visual gag that I thought was that though. I thought was pretty funny And it's no, it's not anything to craze outrageous. It's a it's an innocent gag, man But I thought that it was it was great because it was it was something that was in the background And they played the joke out while the rest of the scene was going was going on Kenny get the camera ready here. Hold my gum I To try to join on that gum trying to catch it. I thought that that was pretty funny, man Also the sheriff Kurt Fuller Some hilarious parts. Oh that guy that that actor He kind of steals the scenes that he's in man every time and some of these jokes are neat I don't even have funny, but he makes them funny I Know you've had a rough night Cindy, so I won't keep you. I just want you to look at some photos. Tell me what you think
I'm sorry You're sure Okay That's like straight out of airplane. That's it's very much a classic airplane joke And he in the reason why because he's playing is so straight. Mm-hmm. Yeah, he's great, man Not joking. It's like that's a bite. So you pale is it? Yeah, yeah, it's man. It's part of the joke, too Man, I love opposite doofy Well, I love when him and and gale Whether it's whether she was trying to flirt with him Stuck in the three years like He's a takeoff of Right, right, you know, he was a damn character man. I even felt kind of wrong because I thought that too Like I was like, oh man, if David are cats, he says I think I'll be like, come on We are dead to me, you know, listen, you know, we're these going traffic thunder full reach I'm like man, they make the fun of the middle of challenge, but I said fuck it. I It was funny. He just had they they had some
Like if I was drinking something I would spit it out because there was a lot that I was not expecting to happen Yeah, it's funny when you know the character that he's making fun of yeah, no, that's the thing and They're bringing him back for the new one. I saw he's gonna be an ice agent in the new one Really, yeah That makes sense. That makes perfect sense. Should all of them a doofy Uh, I thought that something that that is very much a specific joke And it's something that you really wouldn't need to know did you so did you get the principal joke? This episode is brought to you by Welch's fruit snacks big news for your kids lunch box Welch's fruit snacks are now made without any artificial dies a snack parents can feel good about and the same delicious taste Kids can't get enough of all made with no artificial dies try Welch's fruits next today. Oh
Yeah, basic instinct But it was cut from there No, that's not what I'm really referring to the principal. Oh, I was thinking of the gym teacher I guess. No, no, there's a there's a So the principal in the movie This guy right here Mr. Squeege Cindy Camber Isn't she the daughter of What do you know? Oh Mrs So if you're watching that you probably thinking that's just well, that's just a weird character But that is actually now this is a it's a deep dive, but it's kind of clever because it's It's a it's a It's a play on Henry Winkler Playing the the principal. Oh, I didn't make that connection. Okay, that yeah, yeah, because Henry Winkler He played the funds right in a 70s TV show right so and they brought this guy on again It's a deep dive a lot of the go over a lot of your heads right there. This guy David David Lander played
It's character named Squeege and a 70 show that was spun off from the show that Henry Henry Winkler Yeah, yeah, Henry Winkler was from happy days and Laverne and Shirley was a spin-off of happy day And that's a Vernon Shirley ring so that again That's a real real deep dive for generation X grew up on TV right right right yeah a lot of people out there won't know this But the cool thing about it is that now you don't have to you don't you don't have to it's one of those things where if you know You know, you know, you know everybody. Oh, that's cool But if you don't know it's just the the principals, you know, just him and his sheriff It's a couple of perfect weirdos He's just a dude with weird hair and a funny voice that's I recognize the voice. I did not get the reference when you talk like that in the show Mm-hmm. Hello, Laverne. Hello, Shyam. So that was that thing that they did The only one and I don't know how you feel about this. Let me see here Man, let me see if I can find this the only one That I was not into was this character here
Oh I'm going to preemptively think we agree. Okay. I think we do pick it up your vibes right now I know where you take your behind a class today. I do be going to clear. Okay Yeah, I mean, I didn't want to you know be predictable But he was the only character the only thing that I was just whenever he was on was like man These are not funny and he's overacting and it feels like he's in a different movie from everybody else Yeah, everybody look everybody's not playing completely straight But everybody's god damn, you know, they they're a person. Yeah, yeah, they're a human. Yeah, they show us some fucking restraint Mm-hmm. Yeah, he was just I'm gonna see how many Make yeah, although I will say I did like some scenes that he was in with ghost face It's a character of shorty that Marlon Wayne's plays and He's a big pot head and so I thought even though the character I didn't care for too much
I thought they did some some really funny things when he was in the same scenes with ghost face. Yeah You know, I thought that was cool that they they they you know pretty clever They play with the face. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, and what can comes after this with the freestyle rapping I thought was funny. Yeah, that was very and it was that's a very iconic scene because it's making fun of that one Commercial but also like the way that they change the mass there that is now a mass that they sell in stores with the tongue coming out Yeah, yeah I Got a slash and gash cutting in a hole in your ass I still blow them a wall and play tennis with your balls. There's a phone rings don't answer that call You're gonna slit your throat fucking like a goat kill your boss get off and make a winner. Cool peace Yo When the hip-hop hands so much you killed her in my room and I thought that was funny and
And then smoking out of a fish tank was pretty fucking whole ass. Yeah, no, I was man You know listen it comes down to your style of humor because I don't think this is something that would work for everybody I mean the movie critics would almost split half on this and I understand why man you know listen it's stupid and I I kind of like that. I really actually like some of the dumb humor in here. Let me see But there's like a final one scene got to bring this up because there's a They got one scene there with a piano. Do you remember that's my favorite part of the movie man, so I hate I hate to I hate to to be the one to do this but When it goes loony toms Man, they got some great slapstick in here. Some of it. No, I really I know y'all like well you go to loony toms again But some of this is really influenced by bugs bunny and loony toms. Sure those classic loony toms cartoons
Yeah, this the scene where Where ghost face is running from a piano man and And Anna Ferris's character was running from ghost face and throwing all these obstacles in his way And she picked up a grandmother was coming up and then she pushed a piano while ghost face and her grandmother at the bottom of the stairs And I laughed so hard at that No Old people get hurt I love that but that speaks to the cleverness of the movie because it's so fast pace And they know to hit you with a joke and then another one right after it. Yeah Exactly, man, just like you say just slapstick cartoonish humor like that is dumb, but that's that I love that kind of stuff And I think that you know, there's some stuff in here that's that that yeah, it's probably offensive But man, I I laughed hard at those things too. I
I feel Appropriately guilty for laughing at fat jokes, but that was one in here that played off of the That plate the garage door It's pretty clever the whole scene that's seen from screen when I chick tried to escape through the them Doggy door the yeah the garage and yeah, it lives. Yeah, there's a wrong probably that I laugh. Yeah, am I going to hell already there I look what makes it even funny that ghost face we were like I'm out of here. Yeah, I didn't expect all this All this He didn't even touch her like he had nothing to do with that He never put her hand his hands on or
So you know what I didn't like or what I did like might appeal to others a vice-versa So I think it's that kind of movie where it's just gonna people gonna be split and that's not the wrong If this stuff doesn't appeal to you man, there's a lot of things in here that I thought didn't work very well for me And that was usually the crude humor. I that that stuff was really not that funny to me because a lot of it was Kind of shocking to be shocking instead of actually clever But then again other people might find it clever like the scene with the the female Jim coach who was actually a woman She's a bodybuilder. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, her name is Jane tricker. She's actually dead now There's a whole yeah, yeah, yeah, it was you remember huh? I looked it up. Oh, okay Yeah, she does a whole scene where she gets up and hope you know her nut sack is falling out between Yeah, and that's that's that's very inappropriate comedy and there's balls and dick shaped things all over the room Yeah, yeah, that I didn't even notice that there is I mean look at it. There's right behind it. There's a bunch of balls
Oh, okay, see and they line it up before so you can see the two balls now Yeah, okay Yeah, but the whole thing is just look her nut sack is hanging out. No There's also parts of the crude humor where I listen, I feel bad even saying it messes up the story because they know story Yeah, yeah, we're talking about it, but it you know that big reveal so the the boyfriend Anaphyrus is carrying the Cindy Bobby, yeah, so there's man, they got a scene in here, which is probably the nastiest scene to move I can't even show it that is the scene. I laughed at the hardest and when I talk about a joke paying off Because him being horny all the time. I was like, yeah, okay, we get it Jesus. Oh, yeah, but when it came down to it I was like oh wow they talk about a pay off. Oh, he had a orgasm so hard It sucked the moisture out all of his body. You turn it to a mug And shriveled them up, but the way it blasts their head to the ceiling. Yeah, I could stop laughing at that
So often I think about that. Yeah, that happened, but then again It did but like he had this huge orgasm having sex with Cindy But then at the end of the movie like but I'm gay. Oh, yeah, yeah, like okay, none this makes sense Yeah, yeah, not it's not even meant to hell in the in the in the sequel They brought back all the characters that died and did not yeah in the screen time I'm sorry scary movie too. Yeah, like like like like the character Ray. Yeah, Ray is revealed to be one of the killers And he and he died. Yeah, he comes back in the next movie and it was revealed like oh, I want to wait for the summer and came back I'm better now. It's like okay That's part of the joke actually then like nobody acknowledges what happened in the first movie. Okay, shorty dies, too Yeah, yeah, and he's back because I meant one of the lines you like yo Maduks, you know, she got me straight So yeah, man, they know they but you bring a Bobby who is it's like he was the character That was there for the writers to just put out their love for for oral sex because he is obsessed with it
Yeah, but yeah, but it's it was something that thought was funny because like it was consistent with him throughout and it feels Authentic to the genre. I thought I was like it's really stupid, but it's like it's kind of clever Billy lumens was really horning. Oh, yeah Climb to the window and shit. He's also a killer too, but did you notice when he climbed in through the window? There was a sign on the outside but always yeah always over you barely see it. Yeah You see here man, I'm talking about the crude humor here, but there is you see There is one thing that did have me laughing and Till this day, I remember that scene man And I still laugh about it. I was I was I was laughing so hard at it I was anticipating the scene in the film. It's and again, it's a reference to scary movie, too In his win Ray is in the bathroom And he hears that noise coming from the glory hole. Oh, yeah, and first of all that the noise with that that was being made just made me laugh
And then a dick comes to this I'm playing with his face, but It's like Jim Carrey noises or something That's not like a milleo person I might be in it Come here, but so if you remember in scary movie, too Oh, what's your name on my apps? He means scream. No, no, no scream. Yes, it's scream, too Yes, scream to all my apps puts his his head up to a bathroom stall and whoever the killer is stabs him through the head and This is what that take is on now. Are you gonna show this? This wasn't in the YouTube version. I watched First of all, let me see. Oh, yeah, I don't know if you want to do that. Yeah, well, no, I got it. I got it
And people the other end of that is a penis coming through his ear With a little bit you see the penis and it's just tickling his ear and he's just loving it Yeah Yeah, it's the part right here Hey, what's that I Now if you watch this unscissed it's the damn head of a penis coming out the damn mushroom cap coming through his other stuff It's thought of his head when you talk about like not making sense with a story He's essentially dead right there and it comes back later. Oh, he comes back with a patch on his Yeah One ear one ear Yeah, we went into That's funny because earlier the day on reddit
I saw a video of some guys doing construction on a house and when I'm hit carved a hole It was sticking his dick like laughing to it and one other guy just took a block of wood And a camera comes around on the side he's laying on the ground like Back to work whipping your dick out the construction saying get out of here. Yeah Yeah, no, I thought that that was That had me laughing the first time I saw it in the theater. I I think I busted out laughing so hard people looking at me, man So I you know, I don't I don't know we're bringing in The references for I know what you did last summer. I think they could have just done screen parody screaming had enough. I think some of the jokes that they did with I know what you did last summer might have jumbled things up too much Well, it was there to point out how stupid that movie was yeah Yeah, yeah, but and to be fair when they were making fun of it It was elevating the stakes in the scene. I was surprised. I was like all right Yeah, yeah, you're doing the movie thing plays into the storyline
Data references here. Yeah, you know, they do a a Blair Witch reference. I mean, it's it's it's not bringing anything down If you know it, that's fine if not then whatever. It's it's not really hilarious scene, but it's all right And of course, you know, they did what everybody else was doing to to the point of it was it was just You know, everybody's nerves the point of a just exhaustion a matrix reference About 2000 a year later people sick of these references. Yeah, they were they were everywhere You know, so you don't get a lot of big laughs with that And don't forget Usual suspects. Yeah, yeah, they do at the end of the movie, but that was actually pretty funny And that fight scene has some good parts like where they throw each other and they're clearly on Wires or like there's a part where ghost face hits them with a oh, yeah, type of thing. Yeah, that was pretty funny I mean, I was I was okay with it except for the River Dance part Because I was like now that is way too dated to anybody to know what that is and the blue screen is bad
It's so bad What you know, I'm not trying to even defend that scene the only way I can see it working is that again It's just a cartoon joke where it's ridiculous as she can stay up in the air Yeah, you know people don't really have to know River Dance, but I know why you are sick of it because we were all sick of River dance at that point Should River Dance was such a big thing that in the middle of the night you be watching TV Yeah, I'm selling selling bitches tapes of River dance watch this shit one out. Hey, you don't want these river shoes Got that River dance So Michael flat leaves River dance. Yeah, you remember the dude Go back to that fucking river man That's another thing that got people's nerves, you know, some things are are Man if they if they didn't blow up as big as they did Maybe they wouldn't matter as much, but there are some things that are still relevant today
That they talk about back then Like if any other under any other circumstance we would forgot about it, but Like there's one part here where you think it like damn even back then Everybody knew about the ditty parties. Oh, yeah, maybe you think the wins They must have went to a few of those what they call those little baby wall parties Freak off and Sean had a pool party this summer shot, you know puff daddy Anyway, everybody was drinking freestyle champagne and then it started to get wow and people was getting freaky in a pool and stuff That's that ain't no joke. That's a right. Yeah, freak off. Everybody's talking freaking the pool Man, I wonder if they are giving this a rewatch when they were writing the new one and they were like, oh shit We set this up. I told you not put that shit in there Damn man, you know, listen to me I'm sure they're going to bring that back. That's a little too detailed right there That describes exactly what was happening at these parties Oh, that's a question of did you just know about it or did you go they went?
And that's a little sad cameo in here, you know, which one? No a little bit of sweet thing happens in here Oh, yeah James van to be yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah because Kevin Williamson was writing Dawson's Creek when he Dawson Yeah, yeah, so there you go. Yeah, I'm pretty sad right there, man But man look like I said this is a favorite one And that's understandable and it doesn't fully work for me all the way through but man, you know I this halls of bed and I thought it would yeah, it did. Yeah, what would you give this today? I'd still give it a high matinee. I mean honestly, I think for this to work for a lot of people if they were to watch like the Second one you go over the third when you come back and go like oh, this one actually is this is the this is top shelf right here You know, it's funny. I'm glad you mentioned that I went back and I randomly started watching the third one Mm-hmm, and it's funny how this kind of setup stuff that they would go on to like continuing ways Because the third movie starts with with them doing dumb blonde jokes, which is also dated
But that's kind of how this starts. Yeah I'd give it this probably like a high full price like it's I mean It is consistently funny. It's super fast paced and it's it has that right length plus it is It is a good length. It it ends basically paying homage to you. Did you see the stinger? No, no, I did not. It's doofy having a heart to heart with his vacuum cleaner. Oh Why did I miss that? Yeah, right after the credits. Oh, I can relate to that. I might have made this a full price move for me right Yeah, I can give it a madame. I really liked it I'm impressed at how much of the stuff still works and it's It I kind of liked that they brought Sort of that more classic airplane type parody humor Into the modern age at least at the time and it was interesting Interesting to see it infused with the Wayne's brother since the humor. Yeah, yeah, yeah, overall. I was impressed by this So there you go folks still hose up at least from my point of view and they went as far as to match the look
Something like airplane. I thought like this. This looked like a parody film should I thought Yeah, you mean cheap white A little bit And I know it's dated and it has nothing to do with the rest of the movie, but I laughed pretty hard at the almost odd too Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I was a look. That was a clever way to work in a cameo. Mm-hmm for Uh, and just so funny to make it look like it's Titanic It's I'm a star. Yeah. Yeah, let me see here. That that was actually oh You know another man. There was another crude human joke in there that that I thought was was a really great payoff for I still know what you did last Oh, no, I know what you did last time the whole thing of I know with the so Uh Shadow Elizabeth's boyfriend. He's obviously little steroids. Mm-hmm. He's running out and then he goes who's lockered His gym lock and he pulls out a picture and he says I know and it's got a picture of his tiny dick on the head
Yeah, I thought that was pretty funny. Uh, oh, that's what I was gonna say man There is one thing that did not age well at all If there's anything that I would just say is I thought I would say stops the movie Because it's so dated. Uh, it would be this joke I don't know. Let me see it would be this joke right here. Oh Yeah Yo, hello shorty. What are you doing? Night see hey watching the game smoke or something but Are you all alone What's up Who's that yo pick up the phone What's up Yo do get pick up the phone You That's a book commercial
That got old real quick back in the day back at a day that she got old about two weeks And then they did the whole joke right here, and I'm like man that now you talk about something that age Badly. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, it was it was like a month of that and then it was it was done It was done But I do like when he first started doing it and goes face or like what the fuck And when it cuts back to him with those faces, yeah, that's a great face. Yeah, that's a great moment It's too bad that you haven't seen the very end that stinger that they got that you got to look that up Yeah, I was trying to find out I'm a star joke man And could that that had me laughing too Uh, yeah, he's asked me So Now you The largest ship of the world had ever known
It's 400 passengers and crew on a maiden voyage to a brave new world A journey that would change their lives forever The king of the world Like Moments like that though really work because like the luck that that's an iconic thing the referencing Yeah, yeah, and even like some of the old references like when they talk about favorite scary movie and they say Kazam that was a good one. Yeah Well, there you go folks. That is our impression of scary movie still works today. So you give it a high matinee Give it just a matinee plain matinee good old plain matinee. Come on high matinee. No, sir. Just a plain. Come on
Sorry, I can't stop being a sour puts give it a high mat What's wrong with you? Just give it a high matinee. I'm sorry. I'm sorry If you would have seen that stinger and seen himself on screen, you'd give it a full price I did not I'll come back tomorrow maybe Give us something different but but now I got to be that sour of the puss Sorry, sir I'm doing one thing and you're getting out of here. You don't want to talk about Timmy real quick? That's what I say Okay, but then there's the bad thing. Well, you better get off my back Julian not You're whipping me like that slave man's the right thing Thanks No, I got no, I was gonna pull that up. Let me see if I can find it Hmm should email that to me. Okay. I just figured that it was everywhere and you saw it. I'd be easy to find
see here Tim o b Shout to the mate to mithaid to met him Your name is Tim Everybody's on his boys back right now Let me see if I can find What he said here Oh, I can't find let me see him. I guess I can go to the video. Let's see if I can You Find what he said Oh there it is good old ready Are you badly people that fuck you? Cheap ass art So Timothy shall of me. I'm sorry. What's his name? Timothy Timothy. Timothy. Timothy. Timothy. Timothy. That's your choice. Exactly. Tim Run to his mouth
and Wasn't thinking he's one of those guys right now that the height of his success Everybody's kissing his ass. Everybody's laughing. Oh, uh-huh. Everything. He says so you know you get to that point where It's around about people who are Yes, man ass kisses People who just there to appease you no matter what. Hey man. That's when you slip up, you know Because now you think the whole world feels that way You find out very quickly that that is not the case and that is what happened when he was I guess he was on a This is an interview I'm seeing in with Variety and Matthew McConaughey was I guess he was moderating You can even seek Matthew McConaughey like yeah, keep on talking I've been this bit of salon But he offended as I said a A couple of art communities out there I'll let the man go ahead and speak for himself And I don't want to be working in ballet or opera or you know things where it's like hey keep this thing alive
Even though yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah all respect to the ballet and opera people out there Uh, I just lost 14 cents in viewership um I just took shots for no reason. Matthew McConaughey. Yeah, you fucked So and he did generalize there like he didn't exactly say but he just meant uh Anything on stage. Yeah, like that's what he was saying. Well, okay. So is this a big story? No, I mean We won't be talking about this in 48 hours who cares But it is a lesson again and simply put shut the fuck up. I mean this also this is a guy who He's very young This goes to show somebody who was very young And has not had the experience of knowing when to actually be graceful be humble went to not say something that will offend the whole community I mean I I don't I don't go to operas and I don't go to ballet's but the same time I don't want to belittle this community. They are they are something to value to people Well also just because you're not into something doesn't mean
You shouldn't respect it and and that's what that's what this comes down to is a lack of respect And him feeling like he's above it all or or that like well I'm just seeing what everybody's thinking. It's like no, you're saying what you're thinking. Oh, you mean being edgy, man All right, yeah, you don't speak for everybody The reason why I brought agent in this is because as I get older and after as I've been doing this for a while Can I say I was any different than Timothy Shilome just running my mouth thinking I was being cute Thing I was being clever probably not But as I've gotten older I've learned to pretty much even when I'm doing humor and it's roasted people Just learn to give some respect. Mm-hmm. Just learn to I've learned to actually even if I don't like something I don't have to I don't have to punch down or put it down. Right. I don't have to I don't have to make fun of that. I even if I make a fun of it. I still just say hey, it's just not for me You know, but I don't have to do something where I'm out there trying to just totally offend people and making people just feel like shit for I mean because what he did you know about laying out me all y'all ain't yeah, yeah, yeah, I want to do that He pretty much says who cares. Yeah, nobody cares about that. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You're not actors like me
Okay Him saying that really made me like take a step back because it's like do you do you care about the craft like Why would you say that? I mean some of the biggest talents that you can name out there like the guy who plays spider-man Yeah, yeah, Tom Holland Tom Holland. You know how he booked that part He's a dancer and that's how you you get to that type of role because it's all about your body I think that him saying that is extremely ignorant and it felt weird especially because I was edit I was backstage for a sold out performance of Mcbeth him saying that people don't want that shit I beg to differ We can sold out joking. Yeah, the YouTube comments don't know that I'm joking. That's they do You know, I know I'm joking. That's what I'm saying. I'm making a joke But I'm not I don't really mean that I was coming to see you play. I'll tell you all the time. It's your great You know and I and I I see I might make fun of something I might joke about it, but I you know You don't have to sit back and just because what he did was it wasn't a joke right
He really felt that way, you know, he really feels like no one cares about ballet no one cares about the stage And he's he's just a young guy that hasn't had enough time to really really know how to handle things with grace That's the that's that's the impression he gives question. Yes. He's a young guy. How young is he? Well, let me see here. I'll look it up right now Because I feel like he's been a young guy for a lot of years man listen I can only speak for myself and again. I'm just trying to be understanding. I was immature in my 30s. Okay. Yeah Yeah, I was running my mouth up until my 40s. So I understand How it is to be in your 20s. I think he's 30. I just learned it out. He's just turned 30 So even today, you know, he's still relatively young guy, you know, and as I said He's a young guy that that got into this And got success even younger. Right. Right. Yeah. He's used to just been and right now. Yeah, he's winning awards and thinking He's you know top of the world You know king of the world, but Okay, but when you start to be surrounded by that much success
You don't realize that opinions are opinions anymore. You think you're an authority. Mm-hmm You know authority, man. You're an option. I clearly I know what I'm talking about. Mm-hmm. Not really Yeah, you just proved that you kind of don't Yeah, especially right now in this day and age where AI is so prevalent all I hear from my parents I said they hate that shit and it makes them want to go see more theater because like people Oh, but they don't use AI in movies that much people who are older watch TV a lot and that shit is using AI Yeah, I mean, let's just a matter of respect. I always tell this to people all the time and I that is why today And I think I really can't speak from experience here because That's that's why today. I don't talk to people about movies anymore because I don't I don't care if you like a movie And I don't get you know somebody told me last night. They just texted me and said hey Don't be mad at me, but I didn't like that movie I know I like that movie that you really disliked and I'm like man, okay, who I said first of all who I might listen I might joke on air, but even on air. I'd say look it's not for me
We just got through reviewing a movie where I said it's for a certain audience out there It's not for me. I am done trying to sit up here at like my opinion hold some weight It don't okay nobody gives a fuck all right. You like what you like I like what I like and I'm not out there trying to I don't like wrestling But I know it has a big community out there. I don't go to I don't go to ballet Performance performances You know, I don't even know enough about to criticize it You know, that's You know, it's a lie and by the way, I've done some shit that people be like damn You know, you did that so I'm definitely not I wonder My NAS says I've done things that people like you gay you ain't got no reason to talk about somebody else Which I'm NAS is so you know, I People don't need to realize like hey man. No one needs to be judging anybody else We all got shit that we like that somebody else thinks is stupid. Yeah, you know I if you grew up like me Grow up like us Martin. I will we we grew up reading comics
I'm like myself watching anime or something Believe me. You learn how to respect other people's opinions cuz at the time. I was like you do that shit. Yeah, right Yeah, no grown-ass reads comment. You like that shit. You still watching cartoons. Mm-hmm. You like them supersonic men You still playing video. I've done too much childish shit To talk about somebody else. Mm-hmm. Yeah, while somebody out there doing ballet I'm up in lab five in the morning playing a resident evil. I'm gonna talk about them Yeah, I'm still watching the goddamn. I'm still watching Sesame Street sometime Who am I gonna who might have talked about somebody and by the way? I love this Michael Jordan is like yeah keep talking Yeah, right Michael be Jones like I love ballet I'll go every weekend. I bet you he does ballet I wouldn't be surprised. Yeah, I'll come on in dance and you'll ask Yeah, a lot of performance you know actors are well-rounded in a lot of different art disciplines
Yes, that's why it was so weird to hear this it's someone who I respect it as an actor who I was like damn I've seen this guy work He clearly respects the craft and he goes the extra mile him saying this it shows a huge ignorance Well listen man also like I say This is something that It's it's you know, it won't be talked about next week It's a guy that just says I'm stupid, you know, he got caught up. He said something without without thinking It's not like he's a he's not a It's not like he's a villain. It's not like he's a bad guy You know, he just said we all say some stupid. I've said again now. I gotta be understanding him I ain't trying to defend the guy now ballet people come and try to tap down some eyes listen I'm not trying to he won't you agree with him? Yeah I'm not trying to Back him up. I'm I'm clearly saying that what he said was ignorant, but man We've all said some stupid. He just happens to be in a bigger spotlight I you know, give him a chance to apologize whatever, you know, and we'll move on with our lives
Doesn't make him an awful person unless he is I don't know enough about him to say whether he's a good person or not He just said something stupid. I've spent I've been doing this for 12 years I've said some stupid almost every week That's what you're paid to do exactly So leave that up to me kid. Don't you? I'll do the stupid talk. You keep doing you What's up? Do modern actors still consider themselves test beings Do modern actors like yeah, I wouldn't imagine so and acting is acting absolutely some of them take it way too far Like shyla buff ripping out his teeth or you know like being like oh, I'm almost guy I go live on the streets. It's like no What do you seem like you do have actors who really are about acting And then some people in the business a lower percentage, but they're in it just to be movie stars Somebody sees what I'm talking about see people saying stupid things. I just said I You know, oh, I just said man. I got no room to talk somebody core. I've known you since the spill days
You ain't got no room to talk. Oh boy. Boy you You thought you beat him to it Take the game your ear people say stupid things Maybe it's maybe it's probably that delay You know it ain't no delaying that fucking brain. That's what it is I just said this you ain't got to come and rub the shit in. Hey, man You know, I do stupid things all the time. I can't judge core you ain't got no room to talk Well I always I can barely dance all of your ass I'm sorry this is off topic, but people the chapters like a wall bingo bingo That's gonna be one of the easiest ones you made With Sam's Club you have the freedom to shop your own way curbside pickup delivered to your doorstep come in and grab it yourself Yes, yes, yes, they've got plenty of options. It's it's a it's a teachable moment for him a humble teachable moment Hopefully he'll he'll take the hint and you know be better for it Yeah, I don't want to speak for Matthew McConaughey, but like I imagine that afterwards he took him aside because like if I was there
Personally, I wouldn't have been like what the fuck are you talking about? I would have let him fucking embarrass himself and then afterwards. I was sat him down been like Yeah, what do you do? You know, and then I would have like broke it down to him Matthew McConaughey say no the ending. I'll take care of it That look It's just a brim of my head. It's not big enough I wish you hadn't done this on my show Yeah, man, so yeah, it's this is a small thing. It's just whatever he'll you know He'll learn I hope well, you know, there's a already contention of people who are who don't want to like him Yeah, now they hitting that point. Yeah, he's you know, what do you what you call it backlash? Yeah And this it's the wrong thing to say at Oscar season two. Yeah, it really is Yes
You're plugging it in for the top five Brought to you by double touch. Yeah, it's very good. Well, man. Look at that. It's almost like I plugged this in your ass Ha Interest in top five We have you today today And small aside do you remember I had mentioned that there are movies we don't see you know And they're still making money and I know I've brought up this movie a lot But that markiplier movie made 50 million dollars at the end of its run. That's pretty cool Because when we stopped hearing about it was like at 30 so yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah 20 million just float and groovy I thought so All right, let's go ahead and get into the top five and number five Well, they're in height still hanging in there fell 44% from last week. We can gross us 3.8 million dollars domestically is made 78 million Worldwide 213 million down. That's on a budget of $80 million so that's
That's all right, man. That worldwide budget made up for it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, you know They'll try to talk about will you know domestically they mean the budget, but nah, it's doing all right, man Studio is going, you know, did they get paid? That's all they worried about Yeah audiences are consistently going to see that one still seeing people post about it on social media Is that right? Oh, yeah, like yesterday. I saw someone I knew in L.A. They were like making a whole video about going to see it um like odd Oh, number four That goat still up in there 45% drop from last week It's made $6.6 million this weekend domestically 84 million worldwide 146 million That's on a budget of 80 to 90 million still hanging in there. So it could probably make Some more money for the next couple of weeks All right, you think we'll get a goat to Don't know. That's a good question. I honestly don't know. What do you think? No, I just wanted to hear your idea for a title What would the title be this is your idea obviously now go to we're back
You could have stopped that at any time. Yeah, I thought I was like be it obvious I really am It's like all right. If you really want me to be the number three The bride We can gross $7.3 million dollars this movie is a bomb Worldwide 13.6 million this movie is a big bomb because that's a budget of 90 million dollars now If you've seen the review, I don't like this movie and I'm not trying to float in this movie's Failure right here, but I would just say that There's a lot of people out there who because critics this a lot of critics did like it because it's like I don't know why things it appeals to the artsy nature of the critics out there I don't know does it come off as a vanity project. Yeah, very much very well Yeah, people don't like that shit But I mean the movie like a lot of people trying to give these Articles out there. Why did it not do well? What happened? Oh my god. This was a movie for the you know for a female director with a feminist message and
You need more than that. Yeah, that's not a movie audiences Outside of critics and theater people They just didn't like it because the stories are crazy the stories the mess I mean, I'm not saying that it shouldn't work for people obviously some people like it But can you just simply say that this is it's just not relatable to the average audience member out there? Yeah I mean, it's one It shouldn't be a question of why didn't this do better because it's kind of obvious Yeah, you know, it's just like okay. It has a certain appeal. Hey, but it wasn't a broad appeal Yeah, that's it. Yeah, I know that there and then no disrespect to the To the female audience out there and the female critics who defend this movie I mean great. That's that's awesome that you find a movie that speaks to you but The average audience member don't give a shit that that that that uh This description is a mess. Mm-hmm. It's so many ideas that don't work and when you and when you actually get that to the average audience member Then they you know, they're not gonna care about any ambitions behind this movie
They kind of messages behind a good intentions. They're gonna be like I don't got to get it And that's the simplest like you say is a simple is that yeah, it's a simple answer Yeah, message doesn't matter. It's it's you just you do the story and then I think of the message after it's not here's the message Yeah, yeah, I mean there's even some things I admire about this movie But it sounded cool when you were describing it. I liked your your take on it work It was a body and Clyde with Frankenstein in the bride like that. That is a good bitch Hey, like I said the premise of it the ideas on paper they're awesome It's just the actual execution Execution goes all over the place and never really lands anything. Yeah, you guys might have talked about this But a humor me. Well, how is the cinematography because that's good. That seemed like something that was pretty nice in the trailer Like when she hit her head and stuff very nice Number two Scream seven still hanging in there, man. It's doing great We can grow 17.3 million dollars, but domestically 93 million
That's two weeks worldwide 149.5 million. That's on a 45 million dollar budget. Here's another here's another number for you eight as in screaming That's definitely in the worst right now. I can tell you that Even though it had a 72% drop. It's still doing pretty great. Now movie like this. This will keep making money Like on DVD putting in a box set and all that shit and Number one hoppers 46 million dollar debut Worldwide almost at a hundred million eight eight million now. It's on a budget of a hundred and fifty million That's Pixar's latest movie right there, which is getting great Reviews and reactions from both critics and audience members. So I really enjoyed this. I know Mark. You said you enjoyed this too Quite a bit. You think it's gonna hit a billion. I don't know I don't know. It didn't premiere like yeah like like what you call it It's your trophy. I told you to it didn't have a big premiere like that I can see getting over a hundred million, you know, probably close to 200 million even, but I can't see it going to a billion
But who knows yeah, you never know with Pixar and Disney. Yeah So this for this to I think for this to reach a billion this would have had to open up Like a hundred million and plus you know 100 million plus So there you go. You walls. That is the top five. I'll read a couple of emails and then we're gonna get asked on that here Uh-oh, what is this look rainbow says Pixar cco puts foot and mouth and upsets the lgbtq community. Yeah Did you read about this? I saw the thing where I was it talking about like how the the lgbt Elements were cut out of alio. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I didn't read the article. I saw the hammer We're not doing therapy for people Well, Disney probably learned from lightyear. It's like, I don't know when we force gay stuff into things. Yeah, it's weird Well, you force anything before gay people get mad at us I mean if you force race issues if you force anything that was really that was one of the problems with Diversity and why you had this reaction to it. I am not at all
On board with the the woke people, you know the go go go broken all that stupid shit in fact I think that's the woke things on his way out but There were times when that stuff did not seem authentic sure seem very corporate. Mm-hmm. We cash it in on this Yeah, I think it even even came out that like Don't Disney and their memos were saying like this is what this what we're pushing You know, this is our agenda. It's like that's never good. It just so often didn't feel natural People blame that agenda on why Star Wars is in the state that it is Well, Star Wars got nothing to do with it. No, that Star Wars instead of instead of Diversity Star Wars just never had a plan because they were they were rushing those movies out and using the style to make money That's what Star Wars. Yeah, that's what we went wrong with that Although I hear that Ryan Gosling Star Wars movie is gonna be pretty good. Yeah, what's that? Oh What's that movie called Starfighter? That's it. Not the last Starfighter. Oh, X-rayers. No, no, no, no
Is it but it's about pilots? Yeah, yeah, it has has nothing to do with any of the legacy And in the legacy Star Wars stuff like the light the the Luke Skywalker saga and all that kind of stuff They're not doing any of that. This is one of the first movies to stand on its own and they say that it's getting It's called the Starfighter Star Wars Starfighter. Yeah, it's a standalone movie. It's not trying to connect to anything Damn Ryan Gosling's gonna become Mr. Sci-fi. He's gonna have a big year with that with Hail Mary and this that is this next year's Starfighter Uh, I think so somebody said fort fighter stop it. Stop that child As I left Are you gonna go see that movie that he's in next week? Maybe try to finish it. Yeah, yeah, try to finish it. Yeah All right, y'all that is considering it Okay, we gotta get out here. I'll try to read some of these tomorrow
Man, uh somebody say what you think about doing Pixar retro reviews I'm putting out a video tomorrow maybe about YouTube and It's attitude towards animation. They I think they I think they intentionally lower the views on stuff that we do that It's is It's when it's a children's movie we do a review of a children's movie And I've seen this with a lot of other critics people who have huge numbers Those reviews just don't do too big anymore unless you are a children's channel Because the algorithm is Seeing it as a children's thing. Yeah, and they don't want to I don't know They see it as you are If they don't if they don't restrict you or haul you back then you are putting stuff that appeals to children out there that really isn't does that make sense? Yeah Yeah, it seems like they need to update the algorithm and add some nuance to it because that's bullshit Well That they you know they they people are having their animation channels that have been around for years decades even and they're they're being demonetized because of a
Of very faulty AI system So they put these AI systems in place because I know YouTube cannot handle That many that that that many videos you get millions of videos a day So they have to put this automated system in thing is There's a few things that happen here the automated system is faulty People get the money taken away from them possibly running their lives People appeal and it gets back your appeal gets thrown right back into the faulty system. Oh, yeah So Yeah, it's like getting pulled over by a sheriff in a small town And then when you go see the judge, it's that same sheriff. Yeah Yeah Hello boy Yeah, and the worst part of it is if YouTube Would first of all like just acknowledge That they are trying to do something and then stop acting like you don't care Stop Running people's lives I mean people because you have people who not only are making a living but some of them have staff
So then if they lose their money that means all these other people lose their jobs And YouTube just doesn't even seem to give a shit Oh, you know, whatever It is where it is All right Right here that sucks though because you were just thinking of starting an animation channel now that's stalling this out Yeah, yeah, I mean, I don't think they'll get it fixed because one person finally appealed And they returned his monetization because he He was doing a series for like 20 years And all of a sudden a us is oh, you have this is a violation of children. Oh boy It's like my channel's labeled not for children the fuck you have that in there for If you're not gonna live abide by it They're so careful like appeal to these advertisers that they just they don't give a shit about People out there and this person has like two million subscribers So maybe some human being looked at him But what if somebody has one million subscribers What if somebody has 500,000 subscribers? Are they going to get noticed? Yeah, I don't know
Ah What do you like to say Fair Gotta make action figures of you with a string on the back that says fair Fair in the arm I don't know if you want to do yeah I would say the risk does it but then that's another thing too Ha What is Elsa gate? That's what caused the animation stuff with youtube What what okay, I'll ask you after this. Oh, oh no, I can tell you Basically people who would mimic spider-man and Elsa would make very inappropriate cartoons to monetize on youtube and youtube Kids back in a day and parents didn't pay attention of it until it really started showing like very explicit stuff around kids YouTube really pull back on animation Anything that remotely seems animated if it's not kid-related. It's it's out of there essentially Yeah, for a while. I don't even know if it was all animated some of this live action There was like scat videos of spider-man and Elsa being like oh, how does my poop taste?
Well, you know going to punish these people don't let them fuck it up for everybody You know, that's they need to really just in a way is you're you're censoring people because you're saying they can't Make a more mature animations Unless is all right, you know, the only way you can do animation is if it's if it for kids, you know, that makes no sense man Yeah, well All right All right, thank you Martin. Mm-hmm. Thank you, bet julienne Thank you Cory. Yes, sir thou blessing me with thy present. Yes And I wasn't a bad way to say now. I just like putting the emphasis on it julienne.
