Sk: Slnko svietilo jasne nad ruinami hradu Devín.
En: The sun shone brightly over the ruins of hrad Devín.

Sk: Vánok z Dunaja a Moravy rozvíril listy stromov v okolí.
En: A breeze from the Dunaj and Morava rivers stirred the leaves of the surrounding trees.

Sk: Viktor stál na vrchu kopca a pozrel sa dolu na staré kamene, ktoré kedysi boli pevnou stenou hradu.
En: Viktor stood on top of the hill and looked down at the ancient stones that once formed the castle's solid walls.

Sk: "Jana, toto miesto skrýva tajomstvá.
En: "Jana, this place holds secrets.

Sk: Som si istý, že nájdeme tú skrytú komnatu," povedal nadšene Viktor.
En: I'm sure we will find that hidden chamber," Viktor said enthusiastically.

Sk: Jana si upravila klobúk, aby jej chránil tvár pred slnkom.
En: Jana adjusted her hat to shield her face from the sun.

Sk: "Viktor, tieto ruiny sú veľmi krehké.
En: "Viktor, these ruins are very fragile.

Sk: Musíme byť opatrní," pripomínala.
En: We have to be careful," she reminded.

Sk: Bála sa, že nadmerná horlivosť privedie tím do nebezpečenstva.
En: She was afraid that excessive enthusiasm would lead the team into danger.

Sk: "Nemáme ani presvedčivý dôkaz, že tam niečo je.
En: "We don't even have conclusive evidence that anything is there."

Sk: "Viktor bol však presvedčený o svojej teórii.
En: However, Viktor was convinced of his theory.

Sk: "Toto je naša posledná možnosť, než sa tento priestor uzavrie pre konzervačné práce," naliehal.
En: "This is our last chance before this area is closed for conservation work," he urged.

Sk: A tak sa rozhodli pokračovať, aj keď Jana s tým úplne nesúhlasila.
En: And so they decided to continue, even though Jana was not entirely in agreement.

En: They began digging cautiously, each shovel strike a hope to uncover the past.

Sk: Toto sa môže každú chvíľu zrútiť!
En: This can collapse any moment!"

Sk: " Rýchlo sa stiahli, kým sa prach a kúsky kameňa uvoľňovali z rozpadávajúcich sa múrov.
En: They quickly retreated as dust and bits of stone released from the crumbling walls.

Sk: Keď sa prach usadil, Viktor a Jana stáli v tichu, toporne dýchajúc.
En: When the dust settled, Viktor and Jana stood in silence, breathing heavily.

Sk: "Nemôžem uveriť, že sme to riskovali," priznal Viktor so sklopenými očami.
En: "I can't believe we risked it," admitted Viktor, lowering his eyes.

Sk: "No, nie všetko je stratené.
En: "Well, not all is lost.

Sk: Pozri tam," ukázala Jana smerom k tmavému otvoru, ktorý sa odhalil v zmiešanine kamenia.
En: Look there," Jana pointed towards a dark opening revealed amidst the scattered stones.

Sk: Nevyzeralo to ako komnata, ale možno ako prístup k niečomu ešte neobjavenému.
En: It didn't look like a chamber, but perhaps an access to something yet undiscovered.

Sk: "Možno sme našli niečo ešte dôležitejšie," povedal pokojne Viktor.
En: "Maybe we've found something even more important," Viktor said calmly.

Sk: Prestal sa hnať.
En: He stopped rushing.

Sk: "Počkáme do budúceho leta, urobíme to správne.
En: "We'll wait until next summer and do it properly."

Sk: "Jana sa usmiala a prikývla.
En: Jana smiled and nodded.

Sk: "Správne.
En: "Right.

Sk: Bude treba dobre premyslieť, ako sa do toho pustíme, ale myslím, že sa to môže vyplatiť.
En: We’ll need to carefully consider how to approach this, but I think it could pay off."

Sk: "Obaja sa otočili smerom k západu slnka, jeho posledné lúče osvetľovali rímsy Devína, kde ešte mnohé príbehy čakali na svoje objavenie.
En: Both turned toward the sunset, its last rays illuminating the cornices of Devín, where many stories awaited their unveiling.
