And you said to me just now, I thought it was just princess and the pea. I think it is, but I think this one is especially special because it's about a greedy pea. We're going to read this because we had a super lovely email from jazz who said, hi, Laila and Dad, my four-year-old daughter Daisy would like to request the book The Princess and the greedy pea by Leah Hodgkinson. It's a very funny story with lots of tongue twisters and a sleepy princess and a very naughty pea. We read the first two sentences. Yes, we did and I already made a mistake. So this

1:02is going to be very tricky. The pea. You swallowed a fly. It was very tricky to remember. And then jazz said, oh, but Daisy's explicitly said that she needs to send a voice message and I said, yes, you must send a voice message. So shall we hear it? Yes, we should. Hi, Laila and Dad. My name is Daisy and I'm four and I'm a really big fan of yours. I live in England and I would like you to read. I would like you to read The Princess and greedy pea. I'm a really big fan of yours. My name is Daisy and it's my, bye bye. That was a super message, Daisy. Very confident and you practice what you were going to say.

2:07You could tell. So thank you for such a lovely message and for asking for such a great looking story that I've already made a mistake on just practicing. Shall we read it? Yes, we should. What do we say? What do we say? What do we say? We say, we say, the three. That was a quiet one. That was a quiet one. What do we say? What do we say? We say, we say, the three. Aesima. Aesima. Here we go. Here we go. Whoa, what's on the phone cover of this book? It's a cute pea. A cute pea. It looks like a greedy pea to me because it's eating a picture. He's eating a picture frame of a princess, I believe. The princess and the greedy pea. Oh, look, there's a bowl full of peas here. And it says, I am so hungry. I am so hungry. I am so hungry. Oh, and here we go with all the rhyming words that I'm going to struggle with. Oh, it's a sprout.

3:13There was a green pea who swallowed a sprout without a doubt. A bristle sprout. What's that about? There was a green pea who slurped up the soup. A glupiti glup. He slurped up the slupe. There was a green pea who slurped up the soup. Glupiti glup. He slurped up the soup. He slurped up the soup to go with the sprout without a doubt. He swallowed a sprout. What is that about? Oh, gosh, this is harder than Dr. Zoos. This is harder than Dr. Zoos, yes, which means I'm just going to keep making mistakes. Okay, so now we have a picture of a slightly larger pea who's sitting on a bread. He's going through this without making five mistakes. I'm already making it too. You get this picture that I'm doing. Okay, so if I can go through this

4:16without making five mistakes, the picture that you're drawing, I get to keep it. Okay, I'll give you an advantage. That one that you just made doesn't count. Okay, okay. And you get six. Okay, thank you. There was a green pea who munched all the bread. Yeah, that's what I said. He munched all the bread. He munched all the bread to go with the soup. He slurped up the soup to go with a sprout without a doubt. He swallowed a sprout. What is that about? It's about sprout pea. Oh, he's a sprout pea. It's a sprout pea cake. There was a green pea who wolfed down the tart. Oh, it's a tart? He thought he was smart to wolf down the tart. He wolfed down the tart to go with the bread. He munched all the bread to go with the soup. He slipped up the soup to go with a sprout. And without a doubt, you know what this is?

5:19He swallowed his sprout. It's carrion. What is that about? A carrion? Yeah, you know that game. Where people make up a move and you'll have to remember it and do it over again. I've never heard of that in my life, but I can't understand what you mean. You've never heard of carrion. No. Wow. But you're going to be the first one to have told me. Is that an actual game now? It's an actual game. It's been a game for ages. Oh, okay, sorry. So this pea is getting bigger and bigger on each page. He's now stood on top of a tart cake eating a whole slice on his own. Oh, here we go. There was a green pea who gobbled the cake for goodness sake. He gobbled the cake. He gobbled the cake to go with the tart. He walked down the tart to go with the bread. He munched all the bread to go with the soup. He slipped up the soup to go with the sprout. Without a doubt. He swallowed the sprout. What is that about?

6:26I don't think I'm going to need to be on this podcast for much longer. No. Last episode. It's gone last week with Lila and Down. I know, but last episode you read the whole book nearly and now you're remembering all of this. I just have a memory. You do have a super memory. Look how big this pea is now. Oh, that's like Santa Claus when he eats all the cookies in one day. There was a green pea who noshed all the jelly. It wiggled and trickled down into his belly. He noshed all the jelly to go with the cake. He gobbled the cake to go with the tart. He walked down the tart to go with the bread. He munched all the bread to go with the soup. He slipped up the soup to go with the sprout. Without a doubt. He swallowed the sprout. What is a that about for the last time? Do you remember when I said that your story called the dramatic

7:26detective was perfect for you? It definitely is the dramaticness. The dramaticness. That's not even a word. The drama coming out of your voice is brilliant. I just have good voice. Good taste. Good taste. Not as good taste as this pea. He's tasting it. Oh no. Oh, you outsmarted me. You outsmarted smudgy panty. Yes, I outsmarted the smarty pants. Okay, it's getting difficult now. There was a green pea who guzzled the cheese. It made him sneeze when he guzzled the cheese. He guzzled the cheese to go with the jelly and he wiggled and tripled down into his belly. It does remind me of Dr. Zuz this. He noshed all the jelly to go with the cake. He gobbled the cake to go with the tart. He walked down the tart to go with the bread. He munched a bread to go with the soup. He slipped up the soup to go with the sprout. He swallowed the

8:31sprout without a doubt. He swallowed the sprout. What is that about? Well, I don't think I don't think Daisy is going to be going to sleep listening to this story or anybody. I can't believe I remembered all of that. I can't remember you believed it. I can't believe that you remembered it either. Dad, where is his sneeze coming out of his mouth? The sneeze is coming out of his mouth because what made him sneeze? What made him sneeze? The cheese. The cheese. The cheese. This is so funny. How can you remember all of that? I remember that. He has grown enormous. Oh, pea. Yes. Oh, look, he's sipping this tea with his little pinky finger sticking out because it's your posh. You know when I drink my cup. Yes. Like any cup that I drink. Well, for some reason, it always does it with water. My pinky just automatically goes.

9:37Leaves it hanging out. And then I have to like, get down. It did it again. Just automatically does it. So this pea is huge now. There was a green pea who drank all the tea. He drank all the tea to go. Oh dear. He drank all the tea to go. This cheese. There was a green pea who drank all the tea. He needed to wee after drinking the tea. He drank all the tea to go with the cheese. He guzzled all the cheese to go with the jelly. He wiggled and tripled down into his belly. He nostled the jelly to go with the cake. He guzzled the cake to go with the tart. He wolfed up the tart to go with the bread. He must have the bread to go with the soup. He swore. He snucked up the soup to go with the spout.

10:38He swallowed the spout. He swallowed the spout. He swallowed the spout. What did he say? About. I keep thinking he was like, there was an old lady who swallowed it for like, Oh no, he's gonna, oh he's eating the furniture now. Oh wow. He's grown so big this pea. He's grown so big. He's got a veil on. He's kind of okay. There was a green pea who jumped up the table. How was he able to jump up the table? There's no way you're going to remember this. There's no way you're going to go with the tea. He slurped, he drunk up the tea to go with the cheese. He, what did he do? He guzzled. He guzzled the cheese to go with the jelly. He wiggled and jiggled, trickled or down his belly.

11:44He gnoshed up the jelly to go with the cake. He gobbled, gobbled up the cake to go with the tart. He wolfed up the tart to go with the bread. He must have the bread to go with the soup. He slurped up the soup to go with the sprout. He swallowed the sprout without a doubt. He swallowed the sprout. What is that about? You're not even reading this. You're just remembering. You're not even reading the words. You're literally just remembering them. Wow. Oh no, this little girl kind of looks like you. She's got a very nice hair, but also very curly hair by the look of it. She's got a little crown on. Oh no, he's ruined this little girl's house. I think she had a nice tea party ready and this pea has thrown everything everywhere because he grew them so big. There was a green pea who took off his shoes. He took off his shoes to go for a snooze.

12:50So terribly grumpy. Oh no, this princess is very grumpy. So terribly grumpy. Her bed was so bumpy, uncomfortably lumpy. Oh, I told you. There was a mad princess who's poor tummy rumbled and it growled and it grumbled. And it bowed. She tossed and she tumbled and then she mumbled. I am so hungry. I think the pea had eaten all her food, you know. Yeah. And also, you know the story where it is the princess and the pea. Yeah. At the bottom of her bed, there's a tiny little pea. I know. But what's at the bottom of her bed now? Yeah, that's so funny. It's a giant pea.

13:52It's a giant pea. How does she not fall off that? Did you, did we get to the end without making five mistakes? I got to the end without making five mistakes because I did all the rhyming. I sure that was absolutely amazing. I loved reading that. Well, I loved listening to you rhyme and everything together. That was so good. Can I remember it now? I know. You want to try again? Should we go to... What was the last thing he ate? The last thing he ate was the table. Yeah, so should we go to that one? Okay. Okay, all right. Ready. Do you want to try it? He chopped up the table. Yeah. To go with the tea, he drunk up the tea to go with the cheese. He grew, grew, guzzled the cheese to go with the jelly. He ate. It.

14:56It. Grigled and triggered all down his belly. He scramble. We notched up the jelly. Notched up the jelly to go with the cake. He gobbled up the cake to go with the tart. He wolfed up the tart to go with the bread. He munched up the bread to go with the soup. He slept up the soup to go with the sprout. He swallowed the sprout without a doubt. He swallowed the sprout.
