Untold stories have power over us. As long as you don’t “name your shame” your story has power over you and others can tap into that power to manipulate you.
Once you own your story, it can no longer control you nor can others use your story to manipulate you. Like in the final rap battle scene in 8 Mile, Eminem uses his own story to take its power away from his opponent, leaving him completely powerless.
