12:00Four playoffs on the PGA tour He's lost three of them He's lost to Padre Carrington Jordan's Spieth And now Akshay Bartea It was an interesting tournament I thought I had minwoo in the mix I think Rory would have actually finished in the top five I had him top five each way I think he'd have got me some money back He was playing okay I think he was three under three thirds So he decided to go in the water He got to four under after Friday And then he tweaked his back So that must be a concern for this week Minwoo decided to Boogie three of his first seven on Sunday And I just Through the phone away in despair But it did have the decency to fight back And get me in each way place at 40-1 So that was good It was just that I just found it a bit of a strange tournament I just found it a bit

13:00Went Burgush Went someone shoots nine under on a Thursday Which is clearly Four shots clear of Any one thing else that anyone else can do He kind of puts a bit of a dampener on it I thought Yeah, although you're there to be shot at then And we've seen it again Players can get in a little run And Bartea just after the turn That's when he really caught fire Wasn't it And rattle of a few birdies Put some pressure on And then that Eagly made on 16 Absolutely You know, tweaked that pressure notch up Sufficiently And he kind of Get this momentum change at that point And the rest Ultimately was history Talked momentum I'd straker who did the exact opposite To Bartea around the Around the turn and rattle off Four bogies on the trot

14:00And took himself right out of the mix Which was A little galling Just to get this out there The way that Bartea won that was just Unbelievable He lost 3.7 strokes Off the tee Madness He only gained 1.24 strokes With his approach And then of course It was literally Jordan's speed-esque from 25th day He gained 5.67 strokes Around the green Chipping in for fun Chipping at dead Just unbelievable And listen to this, this is just ridiculous He gained 10.61 strokes With the putter So effectively He gained 77% of his total strokes With the putter And only 23% From tee to green That is just

Spawn last year Who made the playoff With Rory Macquarie Was a 90 to one Gels And we do see Regularly as clockwork here We just see That big price Or relatively big price players Do get right into the mix So 90 to one was spawned And bout here again last year Year prior to that Clarke was 35 to one Behind Sheffler Brian Harman was 70 to one I was on in that week 2023 Hatton was 30 to one Tom Hogi

22:00I know it's a past 72 But it's 7,352 yards Holes with water hazards in play Just the 17 Peak dye design Various different Steve Wenzel Off redesigns and renovations They tinker with it most years But it looks like this year They've actually left it alone I'm categorising it as week As a mid-score type of fair So I'm thinking upper teens Likely to be the winning total required Past 72 Four, past 5 Off the beaten track here You've got water everywhere And 92 bunkers And these bunkers tend to be quite vicious They're not just there for effect In terms of the agronomy fairway Celebration Bermuda grass With champion fine rye grass The rough again is overseeded Up to 4 inches in length Greens are small 5,500 square feet They feature tiff eagle Bermuda

23:00Overseeded with power trivialis And this is the point Since we've moved from May to March This is an overseeded golf course Which makes it Relatively Less penal from a speed perspective Than we used to see in May I mean, I can remember the year Where Kim won here You basically can hold a green That was out That was a bad year I was great to watch I think 62.5% G.I.R. was the best of the week Absolutely punishing I don't think you can see that this week Although I will say It has been particularly dry in Florida A lot drier than last year However, there is Some serious rain Full casted With a 90% Chance rate Those they are afternoon So not for the early start For the afternoon start

To This and we say this every year Is the most controllable golf course on the planet Sub air everywhere Irrigation everywhere They can do with it what they want Potentially But it will be interesting to see How they deal with this rain That's forecast for the Thursday Anything you want to add Chaps in terms of the course Or your thoughts around Winners of the past I mean you do just get a total mix here Macaroy, Sheffler and Sheffler

34:00He's been backed off the boards on Monday The other one at the top of the board That I have gone, I shouldn't really go through this guy Because I've said about the world Ranking list The one that really interests me Is Chris Gotter up I've got one and a half points each way On Gotter up at 40 to 1 With bet four eight places each way Remember we gotter up He won the first event at the Sony He then went to Phoenix and won that So he did a West Coast double He's in the top 10 in the world He's seventh And this guy doesn't mind winning big tournaments Does he for a for a glad that's only one four times on the PGA tour Three of those on Bermuda grass greens And the last one was on Overseated Power Trivialis patting surfaces at TBC Scottsdale

35:00And we said on this podcast already in 26 When he does win He tends to win at a price Seems to be quite generously priced up by bookmakers Who seem to forget his wins And when he was priced up the Smalling there was 45 to 1 available on him early doors I grabbed eight places at 40 to 1 And then my final top 10 in the world selection this week You guys are going to love this Set Stracer I got one and a half points each way At 45 to 1 with bet four eight places each way on set Who for me again Nuggety Decent short game on Bermuda grass Doesn't mind winning on Bermuda Four time PGA tour winner Two of those on Bermuda grass He's got an excellent Pete Dyer record on courses such as PGA West He's a winner there Third and fourth at Harbour Town He's got a top 10 at River Highlands

36:00He's in the top five for approach And the top 10 potato green across my eight week PGA tour stats Which take us back to the Sony Open And Dubai Invitational on the DP World Tour So I've got a Stracer at 45 to 1 Got her up at 40 to 1 Moracara at 20 to 1 My three from the world's top 10 Where are you coming in, Paul? I'm just just quickly Steve Stracer's 9th in the OWG or He's 34th in data golf rankings And he's just popped up eight places So I think that's probably sweet So I think that's probably sweet He's just popped up eight places So I think that's probably speaks to his When he pops, he pops hard And he wins or finishes really high And when he's off So maybe he's inconsistent there He's true That's why you've got him at what? 40, 45s to 1 Well we know how Stripes go into these odds

37:00It's always those ones that have got the inconsistency We get a bit of value Yeah I looked at Stracer And you know I was on him last week You know Barry was on him last week as well By all accounts and I I don't know Perhaps I need to be able to put these things out of my mind But I was so disappointed He didn't even place last week From the position that he was in Approaching the turn on Sunday And then just start rattling off bogies When everyone else is Starting to you know The kind of rounds that are going to get Either a decent place or Potentially push on for the Tile and if he does what But he did and the final You know final nine Then he goes down close to winning that title But I couldn't go there Anything I will say is if you look At our predictor data He's got three times more points

38:00On short courses Than he has on long courses So I think this shorter kind of test Is more in his wheelhouse Very much the gotter up as well I mean he's relatively new on the PGA But you just look at where he performs Gotter up His better performance is to this point Of been either small Sorry short or medium length golf courses He has played here In the slides He's seen the golf course So interesting I think those three Yeah But to your question And I'll back three Are you pitching in? I'll back three all of them at the moment The three I've back to 50 to one or shorter I have got one that's in the OWGR top ten as well Which isn't one that you picked And Justin Rose No it's not Quite a bit at the deeper prices

40:00He uses this He uses sore grass as a practice facility He's honest and says that he tends to play The valley course More regularly than the stadium course That he tends to play the stadium course once a month Couple of times a month So he knows this place inside out No tournament conditions will be different But I just think Oberg is dual win You think about Oberg the quality of the guy I remember he won the omega european masters On the DP World Tour He then won the RSM Classic On the PEJ Tour after he made his debut At the rider cup Then he had to wait To... he took out the genesis Last year when they played it at Tory Pines Yep And then since then he hasn't won anything I could just see the players championship being That kind of next level win for him Where you get a young

41:00Truly elite of the future That just takes this out Yep So I've taken the 28-1 bet for eight plays each one Ludwig Oberg Yeah Generational talent Steve And I agree with pretty much everything you said there I think he probably wins at least one player's championship in his career I think it could well be this week And the only thing I'll add to what you said is that We saw last year that he He was ill he got some You know you withdrew from a tournament And he was a bit poorly at the start of the year Pulled that together Yeah absolutely Pulled that together One the genesis as you've described Same thing this year And you know One the genesis as you've described Same thing this year And he's started to come back from the honest that he had 37th pebble 20th at Riviera and 3rd last week It was just a little bit too far back to put the real pressure on last week on Sunday
