Local teacher and old friend, Liz Padgett guest stars on the Pixel Classroom Podcast. A Genoa Native and graduate of the Class of 2008. Liz has an Associates of Science from Kishwaukee College and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Blackburn College, I also have my middle school endorsement. She also has an ESL endorsement from Rockford University and then worked as a substitute teacher for my first year in education. She taught 4 years of Kindergarten at Christian Life Schools where we first met and has been teaching 4 years at Cortland Elementary (DeKalb District #428), 2 years in 4th grade, 2 years in 5th grade. Liz has now been married for about a year and a half to her wonderful husband Rick. She is also a very proud Auntie to 2 wonderful little boys. Liz also have a small crafting business, and have recently done some tutoring. She love traveling and spending time outdoors. I am an avid walker hasn't missed a day since October 1, 2020!
