The Pepsi Paloma Story

About this episode

The Pepsi Paloma Story has weirdly become an inevitable part of Filipino pop culture and true crime genre. Hers is a story of a young actress who probably never wanted to be one but was forced into the role at a very young age. Hers is also a story of powerful men getting away with a crime a normal Joe or Juan will not get away with. Researching this story in light of the Me Too Movement was even more impactful than I thought it would be. I may earn the ire of the men's fans or their relatives, should they ever get to listen to this or other podcasts who featured this story, but there is little debate about who was in the wrong here. So, with that being said, I hope you like this episode. Have a great day.
