The Patriot Act: What You Need To Know

About this episode

It is the greatest infringement on American citizens rights pretty much ever. Controversial, anti citizen rights and unconstitutional!

Where did it come from? Why do we have it? What is it suppose to do? What does it actually do and why has no administration gotten rid of it?

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . anybody that that's the terrible thing. They don't have to go to a court. They don't have to go to the Pfizer court. They don't have to give any kind of justification because this can be utilized by all of the agencies, all the alphabet, FBI, CIA, the White House, all of them, the DOD,

they can use it because it's part of the government and if the president says, yeah, go ahead, they could do whatever they want. Now, which is scary because one of those things, I mean, not sound bad. If you're part of that agency and for whatever reason, you think that the person down in the street is doing something nefarious, you can tap their phone or you could just think that they might, your wife's cheating on you and you're going to tap her phone. I don't have to explain why I did it. I assumed there was a reason, but hey, yeah, and there was a series of dates that sort of coincided with this, such as the Pfizer court granted the order to the FBI on April 25th, giving the government unlimited authority to obtain data for a specified three month period ending on July 19th, unspecified, meaning they could do whatever they wanted. Now, again, they will say, well, it was for the purpose of tracking down terrorists. It was for the purpose of tracking

down in cells, making sure nobody was going to do anything bad within the borders of the United States. I'm all for that. Okay, but as we're going to find out, that's not where it stopped. Yeah, of course not. Glenn Greenwald, who I think is a fine reporter. This is where he really made his name in the early 2000s, because according to Glenn Greenwald, the national security agency, which is the NSA, is currently collecting the telephone records of millions of U.S. customers of Verizon, which of course at that time, and even today, one of America's largest telecom providers, under a top secret court ordered issued in April, the order a copy which has been obtained by the Guardian requires Verizon on an ongoing daily basis to give the NSA information on all telephone calls in the system, both within the U.S. and between the U.S. and other countries.

So every phone call on Verizon within the borders and anything going out, they can listen in, they can, like you said, look at the data, they can look at the metadata, they can do whatever they want with it. Verizon didn't tell anybody about this. They didn't tell you that when you signed up, and oh, subsequently, if you go back and look at this time, that's when Verizon was running all kind of special deals to get everybody into Verizon. If you remember that time, it was like two-for-one phones, and it was one of the first times where you didn't have a minute contract, because back in the day, we used to pay, you get, I don't know, whatever's like 60 minutes, 90 minutes per month, and if you went over that, it was insane. Well, this was during that time when all of that was changing because they wanted everybody to switch over so that you could be tracked. The secret foreign intelligence service court, which is FISA, granted the order to the FBI on April 25th, giving the government unlimited authority to obtain the data for a specified three-month period.

The disclosures likely to reignite long-standing debate in the U.S. over the proper extent of the government's domestic spying powers, and this is where we have to hammer at home. They lied. No. They lied so bad because as they sold this to the people, and as it came out, because this was really under wraps. Nobody really knew about this outside of those who were operating it and trying to pass it through Congress and so forth. When it first started coming out that this was happening, their first response was, well, we would never, ever use this on Americans. We're only looking for people who just came into the country, who are from certain other countries, and we can track them, and it's all for safety and security. That was a lie. According to the Cato Institute, after Edward Snowden went public with what he had learned about

the Patriot Act and related surveillance programs, while a contractor at NSA became even more clear how vast the Patriot Act's reach had become, with the phone records of millions, and all of this was swept up under Section 215 of this Patriot Act. Subsequent Senate Judiciary Committee hearings would reveal something else, what a monumental failure the law had been. A little over a month after Snowden's initial revelations, Pat Leahy, Democrat Vermont, grilled NSA Deputy Director John Ingalls about 54 alleged terrorist plots stopped by the Patriot Act and related surveillance. In less than five minutes, Leahy demonstrated that the true number may have been zero, and that's a broken record too. It wasn't just Leahy, it was a lot of people who got bamboozled, I'll say. They got lied to in passing this thing. When they passed this in Congress, there was only one, count of one, no vote, one, and that was

Rand Paul. And I don't even know, because I've heard Rand Paul interviewed about it, and Rand Paul's primary objection was they hadn't been given time enough to read it. But you had guys out there, like Mitch McConnell, and both sides of the aisle, a lot of names you would recognize who were pushing this thing through, because they had been all talked to in the hallways of Congress and passed it around, probably hadn't read it. Sounds like a good idea. Both parties, Democrat and Republican love this. Yes. They love it. So Biden is, or was, the probably true author of the majority of this. Bush is the one who found the reason to enact it. Obama used it against US citizens. Trump, I don't know what Trump has done with it. I have no idea. I do know that

Biden didn't do anything to get rid of it. Trump has done nothing to get rid of it. All of the, hey, we're against big government, whether they're Republicans, Democrats, or Independents, nobody's talked about getting rid of it. And it gets worse. It gets way worse. In the Constitution, we have constitutional rights. And this basically just walked all over them, all in the name of terrorism, what happened on 9-11, which was a play on the sympathy of the people. There's no doubt about it. According to this, despite its intended benefits, the Patriot Act has raised significant concerns regarding civil liberties and privacy rights. The expanded surveillance capabilities infringed upon the fourth amendment protection against unreasonable search and seizures. The ability of the government to conduct mass surveillance and obtain personal data without individualized warrants is unconstitutional. And then you got big business that is

joining forces with it. And now you have what we call that's true fascism right there. When you have the governments and you have business colluding against the citizens, that's fascism. Yes it is. And it can take place in any system, whether it's free market system, whether it's communism. A lot of people don't even know what fascism is. We hear this all the time. Yeah, you're fascist. And everybody's fascist. And Trump's fascist. And everybody's fascist. They don't even know what fascism is. It's just a word that goes out there. It's one of those words that everyone uses and they're like, oh yeah, fascist. And if you ask him what a real fascist is, it's Trump. It's this. It's that. It's like, yeah, but what does fascist mean? They have no idea. It's just become a term for something I don't like. Yep. And they have no frame of reference to the actual definition of the term fascism.

Here's another problem with the Patriot Act as if there aren't a million, but I find this really bad. So it has these broad powers that they have granted to law enforcement. So your local cops, sheriffs, highway patrol, anybody on a local level, this is why it was brought up during COVID because in the Patriot Act, it gives local law enforcement this ability to lead unwarranted surveillance. They can target any individual, whether you're innocent, guilt, or whatever. They don't have to go to the fires of court. They don't have to go to the local court. They can just randomly pick you and shake you down or rescue whatever and gather all of your information, whether it's sensitive, like I said, I've talked about people. I don't have anything to hide. I don't care. They can gather anything and everything they want to. So let's just play what if.

Let's say I'm driving and I stop in at Walmart. And I'm buying some stuff. I walk out to my car. And at the same time, there's a robbery or a burglary. Somebody's ripping off Walmart. And they say, Hey, I think it was that guy over there. The guy that just drove off. They don't have to say anything to me. I don't have to be guilty. They can follow me, monitor me. They can tap my home. They can listen in. They can gather all my data. They can look at my social media. Anything they want to see if I came home and I put them up on, you know, like I put up the products on, on eBay or Amazon marketplace or whatever. And then they're like, yep, that's our guy. If I'm not the guy, they're going to gather all that information anyway. So well, it's just stored over here in case something does come up. We know all about this guy. We know what he bought. We know what books he reads. We know where he lives. We kind of know his pattern. And they can, you know, we know who he talks to. All of this stuff. They don't need that.

And that is unconstitutional. One of the things that people really want to hammer home. And I agree with them. But there's a particular side of the story where people are quite upset that the Patriot Act disproportionately affects Muslims and other minority communities. Probably so because the people who perpetrated 9-11 were Muslims. Are all Muslims bad? No. Should all Muslims be under scrutiny and under surveillance? No. But the US government and look in these communities, they're scared to death because they all pretty much just operate on the knowledge of, yeah, our phones are tapped, our emails are tapped, they're monitoring our social media. They all just assume and they know that. Yeah. Imagine living under that as your reality in the land of the free and the home of the brave

America, knowing that that's your reality. I do feel for those guys says according to a Pew Research Center, nearly 50% of Muslim Americans felt that the US government was not respectful of their civil rights. A sentiment largely shaped by the post 9-11 climate and of suspicion fostered by the Patriot Act. I don't blame them. Here's the problem. The Patriot Act is huge, it's complex and it's multifaceted. I have read the entire thing and it is broken up in these typical congressional papers where you think you got to grip on it and then also they just stop mid-sentence and they shift over to something else and start talking about something super mundane that has nothing to do with anything and then later buried in it, they kind of get back to it. Yeah. And then it goes on another ramble in a rant about just a bunch of legalese, I'll call it, then it sort of swings back over. Again, when they presented this to Congress to get it passed,

most of those who voted on it never read it. And George Bush and those who were pushing it gave their assurances, nothing fishy here and it was actually timed. It was supposed to time out in like 2015, I think it was. Yes, it was. So what happened with that? In 2014, July 25th, there was a position taken by the Obama administration and Biden because he was the vice president. And then national security adviser Susan Rice that the timely action for Congress to take is the repeal of the outdated 2002 authorization for the use of military force in Iraq, that the Iraq AUMF is no longer used for any US government activities and so forth. This was supposed to saddle up with the Patriot Act, which was supposed to expire in 2015. And it was presented as,

well, let's get rid of that over there. The AUMF was put forward by them saying, well, we're going to get rid of this, which is essentially the Patriot Act. It was a sleight of hand because when it came down to it, Obama didn't want to get rid of it and they reupped it. Now, this AUMF, which was kind of a sub part of the Patriot Act, which dealt more with the Iraq war and the ability to do things over there without authorization, which they should have never passed in the first place. But they said, well, we're going to let that go and we'll just kind of toss that out there and let people know, oh, yeah, we're going to, we're going to let that go. We're going to let it expire. We're not going to renew that. Well, the Patriot Act was actually supposed to go away at the same time, but they didn't. They re signed, they reupped it. And Obama used it. You know, a lot of people say, wow, blah, blah, blah. Well, Obama used it as much as anybody else.

Remember during Obama, when we had a lot of uprisings that were racially motivated, you had Michael Brown and you had was a Trayvon Martin and a bunch of them. Yeah, there's a few of them. They used the Patriot Act along with Geofencing, which was brand new at the time. And they used this surveillance system to find out who was there, who was involved, who could they blame it on. And that's a fact you can look it up. They did not like the narrative of the real true story. And there have been multiple documentaries on this. The whole hands up don't shoot thing never happened. And what they did was they found out who was there. They went and talked to them. They concocted this story and had everybody go along with it. And then it became reality. We'll say. So then the news ran with it and everybody's like, wow, that was terrible that that guy, he was just hanging out in a cop showed up and he said, hey, hands up, don't shoot. And then they shot him.

That is not how that happened. We should probably do that show sometime because that was an absolute lie. Yeah. But Obama administration, I'm not saying Obama himself did this because just like George Bush, George Bush himself was not sitting in an office monitoring our phone calls. But they would report back to him if anything was suspicious, obviously. And he's the one that put it into play. Biden loved Bush loved it. Obama loved it. Biden loved it again. And I think Trump loves it. Yeah. Because look at everything they can do with it. Here's the other thing that a lot of people don't know about the Patriot Act. The Patriot Act also allows agencies to conduct what they call sneak and peeks. Sneak and peek searches. And this is crazy. They can get your online purchase history for anything you buy. And oh, by the way, Amazon feeds them this information.

And I buy a lot of stuff off Amazon. But I know soon as I buy something, somebody else knows about it in the government. That's horrible. I probably stopped by my cocaine there. You should. Yeah. They can also access your emails. We talked about that. And your browsing history. So you hear a lot of these stories about, I'll say murders or potential problems. And after a couple of days, they'll say, well, we went through their browsing history. And we found out that they looked up, you know, how to dispose of a body or how to get away with murder or whatever it is. Do you ever wonder how they got that? It's not that they took the laptop and took it to a lab and went through it. That takes way too long. They already had it. They just had to locate it in their system. Yeah. Because that's the thing is a lot of people don't think about this. A lot of this information, it's not that all of a sudden they're like, Hey, you know, I want big D information to start tracking him. No, no, no, no. They've been tracking him the whole time. It's just now

all the government's like, Hey, I need all this information on big D. Give me everything that he's done. And now with AI, it's with AI and the algorithm and how fast they can pull it up. It's lightning fast. Yeah. You know, back in the day, they had to kind of search around a little bit because they had throws of information. But it was doable. Also, if you deposit $10,000 or more into your account, your bank is required to notify the FBI. He's asked no big deal. I've rarely put $10,000. If ever, who's got $10,000? Well, I have sold several houses and you get a big chunk of change and it has to transfer over, you know, or you get a check and you have to deposit it. Or my wife is Canadian. She has accounts up there and every now and then we move some money down. We always do $9,995. Every time because if you go $10,000, $10,000 and one, the FBI is immediately

notified and you are red flagged and you are monitored way more severe than just your average Joe blow guy. Think about people who have really good jobs and they make $10,000 a month. There's a lot of them don't kid yourself. They are immediately monitored. I understand it sounds like a lot of money and it is $10,000 a lot of money. But in your lifetime, at some point, let's say you get an inheritance or let's say you sell something, you sell your car and somebody writes you a check, you put $10,000 in your account, they are required to flag you and to monitor you for a certain amount of time. Now, they can also get into your bank account. All of this without any kind of judge's permission, without Pfizer court, nothing. Just pick up the phone. Hey, we understand Brandon has an account with your bank. We want to know everything about it. Sure, here you go. This is all from the Patriot Act. There was a time before 9-11, none of this existed. If they

wanted to wire tap a phone, it was a six week or deal for them to get a judge's order that said, it's okay, which is why, and again, I understand the lost side of this. When they were dealing with the mob and they were dealing with a lot of the cartels and everything, it did handicap them. I get it. But this has been abused because what they told us it was supposed to do and what they said they were going to do with it, they have not done that. They have turned it on the citizens. No probable cause, no nothing. Just, yeah, we just want to find out. But can't they say that it would never be used on citizens? That is what they said. And it's an absolute lie. No, they're never lying to us. A lot of you may know who Representative Rashida Taleeb is, not my favorite person, I don't agree with her politically, but every now and then, somebody like that actually has a good

point. And I will agree with her on this. So all you idiots out there who love to say that we're nothing but a bunch of super right-wing MAGA Democrats do everything wrong. People shut up. Yeah, I'm telling you now, shut up. Here's what she said. This was January 19th, 2021. She acknowledged the gravity of the event, but weren't against using it as an excuse to give FBI CIA and NSA even more sweeping powers. Quote, we firmly believe that the national security and surveillance powers of the US government are already too broad, undefined and unaccountable to the people. Yes, absolutely. And I know a lot of you people who are listening, I'll say like in England, Ireland, Australia, over in Europe, you're used to this. This is why we broke away. Yes, it is. To get away from this stuff and we were promised we'll never do this. And oh,

even though we're going to do it, it's just going to be for a few years and we'll shut it down. That is not the case. No, because it never is. And that's one thing like people always forget. They hear this all the time like, oh, we're only doing this for those people. We'd never do it to our own own constituents. We'll never do that to you. We're seeing this right now. That's a big thing that I keep saying, thank God I'm not in Washington anymore with Washington in the millionaire attack. It's like, oh, that's just for them for now. Oh, yeah, no, that don't even get me started on that. You're already seeing Howard Schultz bailed. You're going to see a lot more people bail out of Washington because it's not going to just stay with the millionaire attacks. And again, what defines a million? Is that your includes your house, your investments, your assets, or do you have to have a million in the bank? Do you have to make a million a year? A million bucks is not what it used to be. No, and that's the thing is I mean, but that's what happens here with like the Patriot

Act where they're like, oh, this is just for terrorists and terrorism. But then all of a sudden, well, who who who's the terrorist? Oh, I think it's my neighbor because they did this. Let's monitor them. And that's the thing. Who defines who a terrorist is before they're a terrorist? And before I get an email about those saying, well, I was never on Verizon. I'm going to go back to the Verizon thing. Okay. According to Snowden's report, Edward Snowden, he said it is not known whether Verizon is the only cell phone provider to be targeted with such an order. So it was an order. It wasn't a request. It was an order. Although previous reporting has suggested that the NSA has collected cell phone records from all major mobile networks. Well, the thing is, too, is it just a network or can they also pull anything that was used on their towers? Because just because it's a Verizon tower, it doesn't mean the T-Mobile isn't

it? Right. And so I know Bush, Republican put all this in, but here's what Obama did. So about two years, the Democrats were kind of under the gun. People were like, hey, you all going to get rid of this. Somebody going to do something about this. And they fought it, fought it, fought it. And they advised the public that the US government is relying on, quote, secret legal interpretations to claim surveillance powers so broad that the American public would be stunned to learn of the kind of domestic spying being conducted. So the Republicans and the Democrats love this because they can both use it for their own means. And this is why I find this so awful. Again, yes, I lean more conservative. Yes, I voted for Trump. I'm not a Republican, but I'm not a Democrat or a super liberal either. I try to stay sort of centrist. This pisses me off

more than anything that any party has ever done attempted to do never has undone it. This is what makes me sick about both parties. And they're not going to. Trump's not going to do anything about it. And do you think whoever the next president and whether it's Democrat or Republican, you think this is going to come up? It doesn't even come up in the race. Nobody brings it up. You're all the small government people, the only one who ever, again, voted against it was Rand Paul. I like Rand Paul, but Rand Paul has admitted the reason he voted knows because he didn't know that much about it. True, but then he came back later after reading it going, hold on, I'm kind of glad I could vote it. No, because there's a lot of problems here. Oh, yeah, I think he still would have voted no, and I think others probably would have as well. Yeah, I think more would have if they would have had time to read it. And I think I think this is why they don't bring it up because I think there would be bipartisan, there would be a massive fight,

bipartisan fight. You'd be shocked at who was on the same team to get rid of this. Because you'd have somebody like Chip Roy and Rashida to leave on the same team, which will never happen outside of this. No. And that's it. I think that's it. And that's the hard part because I think a lot of people would be like, nope, yeah, we need to get rid of this. But on the same like you just said, then they would have to admit that they didn't read it in the first place. I found this interesting. So Frank Church, who was a Democrat Senator from Idaho, who chaired this investigative committee into what Snowden revealed and how deep did this go. And there was a lot of behind the scenes thing. Probably stuff we've never learned about even from the Snowden leaks. They saw it. He said, quote, the NSA's capability at any time could be turned around on the American people and no American would have any privacy left. Such is the capability to monitor everything. Telephone conversations, telegrams, email, text, it doesn't matter.

So a lot of you people who listened to my midweek, when I talk about AI and I talk about like I just talked about on this last one, I talked about the facial scanning at the airport, biometrics, all these things. These are all being allowed because of the Patriot Act. None of that stuff would have ever been allowed in the US. They would have shut it down immediately. But because the NSA and because the FBI and the CIA and primarily the United States government knows that they can collect any and all data, they are allowing this stuff in. Which is why I refuse to participate. And we need more people to just opt out and say I'm not doing it. No, thank you to where it's a massive failure. And it's just the money put into it is not worth those who are actually using it. It's the only way it's going to get shut down. Yeah, because it's like you said, I think if someone

was brave enough to bring it up for another vote, I think it'd probably get voted out. But like I said, the problem you're going to run into is too many people don't want to vote because they've been there since it was put in in 2001. And they don't want to admit that the only reason they voted for in the first place is because they never read it. Right. So according to this, Leahy, so those are Pat Leahy, Democrat from Vermont and his colleagues allowed the program to linger on and only slightly modified form via the USA Freedom Act in 2015. NSA, quote, finally killed the program allegedly in 2019 and Congress has never renewed the authority. But see, that's a lie because what they took out was that other program and said, yeah, we're done with it. Yeah, but the bulk of this Patriot Act has stayed in. Senator Richard Burr, Republican North Carolina noted that executive order one, two, three, three, three lets the government do pretty much the same thing without any court supervision,

much less any kind of court approval. They can do what they want. It has stayed intact. So when we talk a lot about certain programs that have been used by the alphabet organizations, and like we brought up at the beginning of this program, stellar wind, and all these names that they give them for spying, pre-9-11 was a whole different ballgame. That was more the spy versus spy. They had to go through certain channels. Sometimes it was a lag or a drag, and I get it. Post 9-11, post the Patriot Act, all that stuff was removed, and they can do whatever they want. So all of you people out there, and I'm talking to my friends who like to tell me I have nothing to hide. I'm not worried about it. It doesn't really affect my life until it does. Tell that to a bevy of people, and I can send you article after article

of people who have been swept up in this, who did nothing wrong. They were in the wrong place, wrong time. They happen to be walking by something when something happened, or they called somebody, or somebody accidentally called them, and it was a wrong number or whatever. Next thing you know, they're sitting in a jail, they're getting interrogated, and some of them are getting tortured, and I'll go back again to COVID, because I'm telling you this is going to come around again in some other form. Yes, it is. Something's going to happen. This is why they don't remove it. Something's going to happen, whether it's like we jump into the AI world, we jump into, like today, I just read an article about Elon Musk saying that universal basic income is pretty much right here, because AI robots, we have no idea how fast everything's going to change. Sam Altman, same thing. We're going to just give everybody this universal basic income,

because most jobs are going to go away. It's all going to be run by robots and AI, and I know it sounds science fiction, but we are right on the cliff's edge about to jump into that abyss. The Patriot Act will allow them to monitor everything, and then now that you're on some UBI, or you have to go to work for some AI, and everything is electronic, everything's in the cloud, everything is internet of things, and everything is through the internet, computers and all of that stuff. That's why they don't want to get rid of this. This is exactly why they leave it in place, because when that shift happens, and it's going to, when that shift happens, they have everybody right where they want them. Yes, which is why I despise places that no longer take cash, we only take credit cards. Next, it's going to be directly linked to your bank account,

and you look into something, it's an iris scan, and we all know where that's going, because eventually it's something to be tattooed on you, whether it's a dot tattoo, or it's some implant. It's coming, and I'm telling you right now, when this hit, nobody was talking about it. They were talking about privacy rights and everything, but a lot of us saw way down the road, and we are pretty much there. Yes. Yes, we are. And it should be alarming to everybody. This is why I don't think most people understand what the Patriot Act is, what it allows them to do. It erodes our rights that are in the Constitution, and if they can erode one, they can erode them all. Yeah, but I mean, and that's the thing, though, is the problem with humans is we like convenience. So a lot of people are like, oh, but it's convenient. And so what if they can, you know,

like the comment, the thing you made about the Pokemon go, oh, so what if they didn't get all these pictures and these scans? You know, what does it affect me? It will at some point. Right. And that's what bothers me. That's what bothers me the most is it is always, always sold as something either entertaining. It's beneficial to your health. It's going to make life easier. Everybody just hop on board and the lemmings follow. Yeah. And those who don't, then you're, you are the ones who are shunned because, oh, you're not following the crowd out and you're not one of us now. I heard a guy in the radio the other day who was talking about this coming AI revolution. He's very pro AI and he's, you know, pro UBI and all this stuff. He said, if you don't get on board immediately and learn AI and learn what it does and be part of the AI system, you will be within a couple of years basically at Amish.

It's going to pass you by. You will have no way to catch up. And I'm thinking to myself, fine. I don't care. Now, I'm out of the workforce. I don't have to work for a living. Thank God. I'm pretty comfortable. And if, you know, worse comes to worse, I have options. I feel so bad for people who are like just starting their career who are maybe 15, 20 years in, they've got 20 more to go or 10 more to go, whatever it is, they are going to be in a world of hurt when this transition happens. And in order to just maintain, they're going to have to buy into it. And I tell my girls this all the time, do not be in debt because then when this shift happens and you don't own your home, you don't own your car, you're renting your furniture, you have subscription services, you don't even know what to do with, you have so many.

When the shift happens, they've got you. Because how are you going to get out from under that? How are you going to make those payments? And knowing that they're monitoring you so, oh well, I'll just sell drugs or I'll do, I'll sell stuff under the table. I will, I'll work out of my home. They know, yeah, there's none of that anymore. The Patriot Act has allowed them to know everything. And nobody wants to do a damn thing about it. And that's why I load our current politicians. And ever since this has been enacted, that's one of the things I look for when I vote. Nobody's ever brought it up. Nobody. Never been a platform. Never been asked in a town hall. Never been brought up in a debate. Zero, zip, nada. And I don't understand it. I really don't.

The one thing I've actually wondered a little bit about with this is just part of the reason it's not brought up because because the alphabet out there has access to all this, then it has dirt on everybody. Just like, you know, when the FBI started, that was the whole thing. And the CIA, both pretty much was started to blackmail. It wouldn't shock me. That wouldn't surprise me at all. It's like the whole Epstein thing. And I know we're kind of bouncing around, but a lot of these things run parallel. Why do you think the Epstein thing is still ongoing? Because they have stuff on people. And there are certain people who don't want it out and they're going to squash it and they can do whatever they can. It's the same thing with the Patriot Act. They know everything. Yes, they do. They were monitoring world leaders. They were monitoring high-level meetings in other countries. It's still like, let's say, Merkel got together with leaders from France and from England. And they had this round table. They know what's going on because they can without

a court order, without any kind of permission, without anything, hack in and listen or grab the transcripts. It's insane. Yes, it is. So that is the Patriot Act. Now you, I hope you understand why we're so passionate when we bring up these other subjects. And we refer to the Patriot Act because without the Patriot Act, a lot of the things that are going on now that went on during COVID and that are coming are a result of this. This was the greatest shift in my lifetime as far as government versus the people. Yes, it was. And it's never been revoked. So all of you who are like, well, you know, the Republicans are great. No, the Democrats are great. They've done nothing zero. And they're not going to, I'm sorry to tell you that. No, they're not because they both love it. Anyway, email us your thoughts down the RH at protonmail.com down the RH at protonmail.com.

I would be curious if anybody out there thinks this is great. Anybody listening, think this is worth it? You have to stop some terrorists or so forth. I'm genuinely curious. Who can defend this outside of those who use it against us? I would be very curious to hear from you. So please do down the RH at protonmail.com. I would add to that caveat and say not only do you agree with it and that you think it's great. Give me one instance where it helped. Yes, because it hasn't helped at all. I don't think it's not in no case that I could find. Not that I could find anything. Right. So if you have some, send them to us. You know, we'll look at it and we're not above being wrong and we'll definitely get on here and say, hey, this is what we, you know, somebody sent us this and they're correct. So all right, Brandon, you got the midweek? I do. I do. And I have no idea what I'm doing right now. All right. Well, everybody have a great week. We will be back with a brand new episode next Sunday.

I'm Big D. I'm Brandon. We're out of here. See you later.
