Camp Scott in Locust Grove, Oklahoma had been a camp for Girl Scouts since 1928. In June 1977, the camp welcomed over 130 Girl Scouts and Brownies for its first two-week session. Tragedy struck when counselors discovered that three young girls from tent #8 had been brutally murdered.

Lori Farmer, Denise Milner, and Heather Guse had all met for the first time when they were assigned to tent #8 at Camp Scott. The morning after they arrived, all three little girls were found dead.
