Be a change maker. Visit TR.com forward slash change makers. It's a Monday and we're here to do Monday things. What were you talking about? Hello, and welcome to the Monday show. My name is Scott Johnson. That's Carter, my daughter Johnson. Dot hair.

Is that your middle name, my daughter? Yeah. Carter, my daughter Johnson. Nice. That's it. Carter and I just got back from eating too much Mexican food. We went to, it was kind of an impromptu deal because her sister, her sister's husband, Dylan and Taylor, we're talking about more about them in a second. And then Nick. And one of their kids and then Nick and his baby, Nick has a day. It's been a while since we've all been like, all the siblings have been like together. Yeah, it's like, hey, we should take advantage of this. We're going to lunch. So we did. And Alicia, of course, she may as well be us now. Yeah. She is one of the siblings. She may as well be. She really is. She really is. She's the quiet one though. Oh, yeah. And she doesn't know our stories. No, but we had lunch and it was great, but I'm fat now. I feel fat. Same. I like sat in the car and I sat there for a second. I was like, I'm going to throw. Yeah, I felt really going for us. Like right now, I just feel like the thing to do would be lean back into a chair and not get up. Food though. Yeah, no, it's good. It's not we're not feeling sick because it's like bad. I think it's like really good and we ate too much of it. They're really good there to it.

Just run in the place. They're very efficient. They're really nice, very like attentive and just kind and I don't know. They're very sweet. Yeah, I like it there. I'm telling you that cocaine cartel really helped them fund this thing. That's why I'm convinced it's the cartel because they just do so good. Like how can they do it? That's how I feel about there's a red iguana because there's like four locations. And they're all like right around each other. They're all like within a few blocks of each other. And the waiters there are like military grade intents. Like they're on it with waters. They're really like what do you need? And like they're very like serious. No, it's crazy. I'm like, there's something going on or something. Learn from that. Man, their food is good. Who read a guana is real good. I know. All right. I was maybe going to take Liam there, but I'm not sure what we're doing when he comes in town figured out when the decisions have not been. It's soon. It is sooner than you think. Is it two weeks? Yeah. Are you ready? Not this weekend, but the next. Are you ready? No. You have your costumes ready? No. We're still doing last minute fix them up. But how far behind are you in the process?

What do you say? Not crazy. It's all details at this point. And then we need to do a wig try on this week. The wigs. Tell me what? Oh no, you want to be a squid? I have wig PTSD. You don't really. Wig. So that's WPTS day. Yeah, it'd be WPTS day. Yeah. It's a pretty easy thing to come up with. It was slow for some reason. Let's just talk real quick about the cat situation on the store. Oh, yeah. You guys have been awesome. We forgot to talk about last week, but I think we're going to start shipping these. Yeah. Thank you, everyone for. Yep. You can still get it. If you want to try to get an order order in last minute before we go to shipping, you can still hop over there and grab it. So go to frogpants.com. Click on the the store link. And the first thing is that cat deal. Carter's custom print, my custom print, a picture of decker. I love your custom print. That's only, it's only 1299 total. And that includes shipping, by the way, free shipping on this thing.

We'll ship it anywhere. Is it like if you get it, you can also add free shipping to anything else you buy, right? No, this will be, it's applied product only, but it will always give you free shipping. It will minus the amount this would have been in the shipping. Yeah. If you get another thing. That's cool. Does that make sense? Yeah. Because some international stuff's like if they ordered two T shirts and this would be a nightmare. True. But anyway, we're shipping these ourselves. They're coming straight from us. We're going to sign them first and we're ready to print. So if you haven't picked one up yet, please grab it. It's time. It all goes to deckered and his dumb teeth is stupid teeth. Every penny of it, I didn't get a dime for this. Neither did you technically. It's all going to the cat. That's all the cat. Yeah. We did this for a freaking cat. I mean, it helps me a lot because otherwise I'm paying for the. Well, right. We're trying to help Carter's. We're trying to. It is much appreciated. Anyway, go check it out. Frogpants.com. Tane Dillan, speaking of family, Taylor and Dylan, Carter's sister and her husband are starting you guys have seen them on the show before. They're starting a podcast. Finally, I am ready to promote these two. Now, unfortunately, they got nothing up yet other than a logo and some album art and a landing

page releasing this weekend. I think they're going to do some. They're going to do a tiny little holder one first so they can get the directories done. Yeah. But I wanted to put you guys on this early. If you go to their Instagram account, which they set up for it, it's the debt. Sorry, the.last.straw.pod. So it's the last straw pod, but there's a period between each word. Yeah. That's on Instagram. You can go in there now. Keep track of when things pop. We'll talk about, of course, more on the show. They're going to do movie reviews, talk about what it's like raising kids in this day and age and all this stuff. I helped them make their logo. You did. I really like it. The colors are nice. I like it. I think they're drink drink. Drink. Yeah. A drink. A drink. But it's also a microphone. Did you draw those straws? Yeah. I can tell. They have your style. That weird that I can tell. No, I get that. I get that every time when someone's like, did you draw? Like, I could tell you drew this. I can do it with you. Yeah, I have all the time. I can do yours. It's a little bit like when people say how you guys feel good at spotting AI.

It's similar. You just can tell. You just start the computer style. You start to tell the like patterns. I guess. And for me, it's immediate. Mom's always like, how do you know them? Right away. Just like right there. Look at it. I don't even have to be close up. I can just see it like in the corner of my hand be like that's AI. Yeah. Not that hard to see. Also shout out to our pal. Tanner. Who got to me bib in the money? Yeah. Tanner and Alex were a blizzcon this week. I wish we could have gone. But BB Nas. BB Nas there. BB no money in the middle there. Apparently big wow nerd was there for some music too, I think. He was part of some panels. But he's also just a fan. And Tanner says he just like sat around and talked for like an hour about. That's so nice. How does it look? He seems really cool. Yeah, he's a super nice guy. Cool person. He also looks photoshopped in that picture. Yeah, it looks like they've faced something weird about it. I don't know why. I think it's the lighting. Con lighting is terrible. Is that what it is? Like a hotel lighting and stuff. He's also very like painted up. Right. I'm going to put Zach Cherry on his face. Hold on.

That was from the pre-show. Hey, you never even know that that's they met Zach Cherry at the con. I didn't make that cherry. Look at that. It's cool. Amazing. I missed the photoshop days where this was the fake. Yeah, it was a good time. Yeah, a great time to be alive. Anyway, I, so okay, so the cat thing, Taylor and Dylan thing, all these things are good. Let's talk about this weird, gnarly convention I went to. Oh, yeah. Just briefly because oddities and curiosities. That's what I was sure to expect. Oh, wait. It's back to mom took me there without any knowledge of it. And I'd forgotten this, but back in 2021, I don't know which, but Brian or Tina took the other to us to a secret date there. Like a. Yeah, they're like mystery date. Yeah, mystery dates. So they go there and he talked about it, but I don't remember much about it. And so this was all new to me. And it kind of smelled bad because there's so much. For maldehyde. Yeah, what's it called that you do with animals?

Taxidermy stuff. Yeah. Like all these taxidermized animals that are supposedly from road kill or other ethically sourced like get ahold of these animals. But there was like a whole flock of baby ducks that were all like stuffed actual ducks. That's that. And they put a little guitar on them and like one of them's playing a piano and the ones dressed like, you know, beetle juice or something. Yeah. We can only say that ones. Exactly. Twice, but then now we're in trouble if we do that. Anyway. So I thought I was in the brain of Carter while I was there and I was thinking all of this stuff, some of the insects and things. I think you would have liked you like the art. The art that was there, these different people just showcasing art of various kinds. Really amazing stuff. Dark, weird, twisty stuff. Love that. Me too. Huge fan. Yeah. Joy the hell out of that. But all of these animal parts and there were lots of them. Yeah. Foxes and raccoons and a coyote carcasses. Sure. There was an entire neck and head of a mummified giraffe.

That feels insane. Yeah. It seemed like it made me question a little bit if they're vetting this very good. Yeah. How old would it look? Like you don't just find that. No. You know, and they wanted like 1200 bucks for that thing or something like that. It was crazy. It does feel. And I've talked to people since and they're like, yeah, some of that sketch. They don't. I'm sure. No, that stuff does not exist unless it's a little bit sketch. Yeah. I don't know if you're quite how to feel about that. But as I would go along, I go, oh, Carter would love this. Carter would love this and I'd send her some pictures and stuff. And then I'd see all these animals in these positions. And I went, I actually had to think she might hate this. Yeah. You might not have liked it. I have such a complicated thing with taxidermy and other various like forms of. You get in a taxidermy when I go. If you want. Okay. I think you'd end up in a storage closet somewhere though. Oh, you're not in the living room. Have me out on display. No. Why? I don't want it. Dress me up for the holiday of the month. You're scared every time I turn the corner. Here's Halloween Scott. Soon we'll dress him like a turkey for Thanksgiving and then Christmas. Oh boy. Yeah.

Oh, I love it. I don't like it. As long as I'm not, you know, rotting in gross. Who cares? It's weird. But yeah, no, it's, I just felt like it was maybe a little much for the animal lover in you. Yeah. No, I have a thing with like preservation of animals. Like my problem with it is that if it's ethically sourced and legally, you know, correct. What does that even mean? Let's define that. What do you think it means when they say ethically sourced animals? I think it died before, like it died naturally is my. So just in the wild, they're out hunting around. You have to go look for these. Or even like you said, roadkill. Like it, the thing did not die for this. It was used afterward as a way of, you know, using the, the creature instead of just having it, you know, be dead. So you find a beetle in your basement upside down dead dried out and died last, last week. I think that's, you could ethically say, well, I'm going to put him in a display and make a cool thing and that's okay to do that. I think so too. I don't think that's it. I think there's definitely a line as in, I think it's weird, but I think it's okay.

Yeah. I think there's a line because I'm sure there's people who like have farms that are like taxidermy farms. There must be, right? Oh, yeah. Someone who's like, yes, we raise these animals and then they immediately get taxidermy when we decide to kill them. Those documentary on HBO, you'd hate about the lizard trade and snakes and amphibians and stuff. Yeah. Oh, it's, that's so interesting. Dark man. Yeah. So my problem with it in general is like, yeah, there's ethically sore stuff, but the problem is when you have ethically sore stuff, people always find a way to not ethically source and still make that money and still do those things. There's always bad actors, right? Yeah. Exactly. And making money off of the ethical stuff encourages the bad actors, you know, what I mean, none of it was cheap. All this stuff is really expensive. My favorite maybe was this dude who claimed, again, I can't verify anything. I heard him telling somebody, he claimed that he got this head of a, what's the really pretty deer that's not a big wide rack, but like a, oh, like, I becks.

I think sounds right. That right. Anyway, beautiful, beautiful white thing. Yeah. He painted it. He gave it blue eyes or he founded it like at a garage cell or a state cell or something like that was I'm mounted on a wall, some hunter thing, not necessarily ethically originally sourced, but him getting his second hand. That's very is less. He changed the eyes out to be these blue orbs that are kind of glowy. And then the body, I should have taken a picture of it. It was the body and the neck and the kind of base of it before you hit the wood was like black veins. It had the effect of looking like a cursed creature from another planet. That's cool. It was really neat. A little kind of art. Yeah. So I kept being torn. I'm like, well, I don't want to see this poor deer die. Yeah. But like I have a big thing with like hunting trophies bother me so much. Oh, yeah. I used to, my best friend as a kid, her dad had hunting trophies like big buffalo head style style. This is the one that ruined you on zombies. Yeah. Oh boy. And I just, I hated being at their house because it freaked me out.

I'm like, these were animals and you killed them for no other reason. Half the time he would literally like brag about how he's like, yeah, I do shotgun hunting. You don't get any of the meat, but you get the trophy. Yeah. It was like, that feels gross. It does. Even as a kid, I was like, that's no. But yeah, I had complicated feelings. You always had a very, oh, we put this. Even as a little tiny kid, Carter kind of had ethics. Like she'd be like three or four years old and not really understand what you were looking at, but you knew it was right or wrong. You'd be like, that's something about that's wrong. And more than the other kids, like Nick would just kind of stare and Tay would be a little more like, who was very logical. What I bear. Like, Taylor was very like, well, if the adults think it's okay. Yeah, there was a little more of that. You see Phoebe a little bit like this. Like I see her doing some of her idiocene. She thinks through things. Yeah. Sometimes she'll stare at you and her brain will lock in and you just tell she's working like thinking. And tonight, today at lunch, she comes up to me and she goes, pops, I go, what she goes,

can I make, can I give you ponytails? I said, hell yeah, let's go. Yeah. Let's do it. Earlier before we went to lunch, she goes, she's looking for shoes and she's like, ah, you're killing me. She goes, I don't want to kill you. Okay. Weird child. She is weird. I think she just hears stuff and repeats it and is adorable. She's a weird little kid, but in all the best ways. She's so cute. Now my camera's all wrong. I'll fix it. Um, anyway, so what was my point? You're just asking me about oddities. Oh, you would have, I think there's so much you would have liked and then a bunch of it. You'd have just been like, does it have to be like this? Can we try this? Yeah. Like there's a, there's a store, a showroom here in the valley. I think they are in Murray. They might be closer to Salt Lake, but they, what are they called? They're called nature showroom. Oh, they were at this. They had a booth. Yeah. It's funny. I actually know the guy who runs it. He's my old co-workers dad. So I've met him a few times. That's cool. But he specifically is like, here is how I source these animals.

Here is how I source this. Here's how I get these. Like he's very open about like the process and how he sources everything and how it's ethically sourced and all that stuff. Like literally he's like everything died before it was even considered to be part of this essentially. Well, good. I mean, if you can give some kind of, I don't know. I like that he gives those disclaimers, but I'm like, if people aren't, that means that there's could be something a little somewhere, but I had no way to verify the claims. Like they just be a little piece of paper that said, all animals are ethically sourced in period. That's it. Yeah. Like, not that I need to see a paper trail. I don't necessarily do, but I also, that's not enough to prove anything. I think taxa room is really cool as an art and also as a way of like, I know people who will preserve their pets that way. Would you ever do this with like decors? No. No. It would freak me out. You don't want that cat to ever die. No, he's not allowed to die. I have some bad news. I heard that too. What was that? The cat, a different cat. That was Murphy or Manololus. It's probably Murphy.

Murphy likes me. Murphy doesn't like you. Murphy likes no one else. Freaking, I don't know if you can see it. It's very well on the camera. Oh, yeah. Right up your palm. Oh, my, on my palm. Damn. That was Murphy. Yeah. Oh. I believe in everywhere. It was bad. She's, she's scratching me once because she thought I was grabbing her funding, but beyond that though, she just soon, she sees me come to me. She loves me. Yeah. Like if we, if we ended up, if she ends up not having a place to go after all this, I'm keeping her everything. It might be my first cat. I don't know if mom's going to let that happen. She'll survive. She can live down here. She can take care of the mice if we ever get them. She can be in here when I'm doing shows. Sure. She's a sweetheart. Just a little jittery when other people are around. Well nervous. For whatever reason though, she glombed onto me and now I like her. She's like the opposite of most animals where she likes boys. Yeah, it's weird. It's weird. And she's beautiful. That's the other thing. Oh, she's absolutely beautiful as a cat. What kind of is it? It's got a name. Tortoise shell. Tortoise shell. Right. Big, gnarly eyes. Smart. Tortoise shell. Yeah. Tortoise.

Kind of want to keep her. But she's mean. We'll see what happens. Well, anyway, it was fun. I kind of wished you were there because I don't know. A lot of shared stuff there. We were thinking about going, but it's been crazy town banana pants in terms of prepping for fanics. Here's what's weird to me. We're there. And the tickets to get in were only 20 bucks. No big deal. Even day of just 20 bucks get in. Most people were selling things like this dude that sold me this skull. That was a $20 skull, 25 maybe from rock. Sorry. Skull of hard rocks. That's what the place is called. Yeah. Cool local guy hand sculpted hand painted. Very cool. He's got tons of stuff there. And there were a lot of places like that. And they were reasonable. It felt like the art was being sold for what I expect. Yeah. I'd get three, two of these and one for free for 60 bucks. And it's like big. You know prints stuff you'd expect. And I'm thinking, well, this is nice. You know, hanging around a bunch of psychos and weirdos. Everybody's in leather and the pale. Everybody's pale.

Like it's like it was seriously like God. No one's outside. It's like a cure concert or something from the way back. That's so funny. And I liked that. And I liked the diversity of it and fun vibes. There were some dude bro there with his girlfriend. The girlfriend was clearly way into this stuff. He was looking like El Viro walking around. Yeah. But he was just this buffed Jim bro, but it was so tan. It was a bad kind of tan like the crispy kind of tan that he should stay out of the sun. Like he's made out of his resin. It's hard to explain. No, I know what you mean though. That hard shell of a skin. Yeah. This is gross. Anyway, he just looked like he was out of his element, walk around going, what is that? She's just dragging him around. Other than that though, everybody else is a little bit of a freak in a good way. Yeah. I'm going to do this and then I notice I walk past the place where there's food. If you want, if you're hungry, they had tables and food, the dirty lemon or some name like that. I don't know what it was. And the food was more money than the ticket to get in. So for me to get like a basic case of the air, whatever it is they have there was $28

for Sandy. Sandy, yeah. No, the food there's insane. The stupid. It's insane. We almost I tried to block them down for a spectacular type of event and their prices are so bad. I like we're not doing that. There's like two convention centers in Utah. Well, there's more than that. It's Salt Lake County. There's in Salt Lake County. That's true. There's stuff in Provo. I don't want to go there though. Provo's a mess. I mean, Provo's all right. So those are difficult. It's, I mean, it's still like what the, what magazine does time magazines, top 10 places to live. Provo always makes the list. Really? Yeah, always. It's always high too, but college students and I know old people and Collins college, old and everyone's white. That's not true. There's a big Hispanic population. Yeah. There's also no, actually there's a big, best tacos ever. There's a lot of, it's very diverse there because everyone freaking came for the Mormons stuff. They're here for the Mormon stuff. Yeah. You want to know when it gets, it's going to get real nuts. We went to a Maui bakery. What's a Maui bakery? It's a Maui run.

Well, I know what that is. Yeah. Did they do the Haka before he can buy anything? No. Oh, whatever it is they do, they come out and we're right. It's so cool. Oh, it scares me. Yeah, it's supposed to be a little bit. That's the idea is back in the warrior time. It's so light. It's so scary. The enemies, right? It's powerful. When they do it in like their parliment, that is fun to watch because all the New Zealand or white people are like, geez, can we just adjourn for today? I don't want to watch this again. No, wait, take that. It's so cool. I love it. What's that place you always talk about on vacation? Park City, yeah, that's a very different park. Park City's way cool. Park City is uppity and fancy and a lot of. It's essentially a big ski town. It used to be very, it's very liberal. It used to be a very hippie kind of place, but then it got really unaffordable. Yeah, real rich. Now, you got to be loaded to live there, but you can visit and it's great to visit. I love it there. It's a really fun place. There's really cool bookstores and cafes. Ski resorts, bunch of the Olympics went up or happened up there. It used to be where Sundance was.

Yeah, well, until like last year. Redford had been younger and more able to sort of fight to fight. I don't think that would have happened. No. Because he fought like hell to start that there. And it's a really cool place, but it's, yeah. It's awesome up there, but it's always 10 degrees cooler, no matter what. They have a Banksy. Oh, they do have a Banksy original Banksy right there in town. And they had to, they had to board it off. Well, there's like, it's like a, not plastic. What's that stuff called? Flexi glass. Yeah. So no one can touch it. They don't want anyone to mess with it. Just right there on the main street. Yeah, I can't remember who it was, but some celebrity was like, I want to buy it. And the owner of the shop was like, you can't take my wall. No. No. Well, plus this the other problem came part of the city. Because it was Sundance Film Festival, you would just, you, during that time of the year, you'd walk up and down park city's Main Street. And it's just covered in Brad Pitt's and Tom Cruise's and everybody from all of Hollywood. Yeah. Just packing that place. And that must be for the locals.

That's good money and everything for the, but it's probably a nightmare every year. I would hate it. So they didn't have to do it this year because we lost it. We lost it. We lost it. We lost what that looked like. Where did it go? Colorado somewhere I think. I don't know. Vail I think. Didn't veil get. I have no idea. Sundance. Sundance. Sundance. Sundance. Sundance got too big for the city. No doubt about it. Oh, sure. But I think they, they kind of worked it out. Yeah. We were pretty proud of that here. Anyway. I think they were pretty proud of that. Yep. You said you, you wrote here lines for squishy, which sounds like you gave voice lines to the dude in our tadpole. Yeah. The guy named squishy twitchy. No. Or squishy. That did not happen. That's not what this is. This is like a line you would stand in. So there is a, I apparently a five below exclusive, you know, those little, that the dollar or the five dollar store. Yeah. Okay. That's not actually five dollars for anything. What are those little, they're like bow buns that are squishy, you know, I'm talking

about. Oh, yeah. They apparently have some exclusive one right now. And so every time we've passed one, there has been a line out the door. Those little blue brick squishies. Like the ones that look like buns, like bow buns. Okay. You had, you used to have one. Oh, I do have one. It's somewhere somewhere. You got it before it became a big hot item. That's a valuable, maybe, maybe it's, you know, I don't know, but there's like a one that's exclusive. And so there are lines of like moms with children just going around the corner of these places, like waiting for this machine to open. It is so strange. I mean, so growing up, we had two of these things happen. We had tickle me Elmo and the cabbage patch kids. Yeah. They were separated by some years, but those two things were so massive at their time. And it felt very unique to these big, everyone in the country's got to have one. People are fighting over them. It feels like now there's more of this happening, but scattered around like here's the Pokemon rush to get the new cards at the Costco. And there was a fight today. And then over here, the squishy thing you're talking about and it's weird that we're,

we still have those, but they're like these niche like, but they're also really weird. I don't know. I, this might be true of the tickle me Elmo's and the what, what not. But these are definitely geared towards that thing. Yeah. Oh, yeah. They're exclusive. Make sure you line up around the corner. And then there's like signs all outside of the five below that's like people trying to sell them will be banned from the store. Like it's, they're real intense about it, but I, it's encouraging that. It's, they want you to be like exclusive. Yeah. The more, the more you do that, the more people are going to, because people are desperate for any form of joy. Yeah. And for the first time in a long time, I agree with something Dr. Calhoun just said, that's not true, Dr. Calhoun. And I agree with a lot of what he said. He says, all this blind box shit is just normalizing gambling for children. I actually agree with that. I agree. Kids only care enough in terms of I got one. It's still adult gambling. Well, that's true. Yeah, there's a lot of it. It's parents going, well, I'll get all these ones for my kids and I'll make sure I get the special one. The kids don't care that much.

They like that they have a box. Yeah. Like the kid, the, you know, Van likes that he has a Labo, who doesn't care what Labo he has. No, you're right. I think at some point they start to, and maybe this train gets them on the track for it. I'm more worried about gambling sites like Keishi and that other one. Oh, yeah. That's the whole different disaster. But also like Pokemon cards is a good one because Pokemon cards, I don't, again, I don't know all children, but every kid I've talked to with Pokemon cards will be like, I like Snorlax, and that's like all they really care about. They're not like, I have to get all the rare cards. It's the adults that are doing that. No, you're right. And then they're, you know, selling them to other adults for exorbitant amounts of money. But then when those kids come of age and they're like 18 and mom dies or something, they're like, she has that box of, I'll bet the group now. Then they get now the gambling begins yet a new. Yeah. And also like, I love blind boxes in terms of like actual just like, here's a, you don't know what you're going to get. And here's the options, but I don't like the push for it to be like, these are super

rare. So everyone's going to scalp them now. Like, that's gross. It should just be for fun and people get way too intense about it. The only blind box I've really got into, you've seen on my little, a few trauma guys. They all came from that. Yeah, I get sometimes if I'm just like in a store and I see one, I'll get like a little, you know, cat one where it's like, they're all sleepy cats. And one of them is holding a fish. But also by their nature, they should be cheap. Yeah, they should be cheap and silly. They're gotchas. When they give you a $50 one, freaking F that. Yeah, no. I'd refuse. F that. Gautchas are great in a certain degree, who is her degree. I think it's insane whenever it gets, it's pushing for people to scalp and resell. And I think that's stuff gross. Yeah, the gamify our life, man. It's a blow. Find joy where you can. Like I like when there's an account I follow that he sells Pokemon cards that like conventions, but he's actually really cool and nice. But he will, there'll be people who bring him binders and they'll be like, here's my binder collection. I collect Pokemon cards that have apples on them.

Like it doesn't matter what the thing is, that's like their collection is anything with apples and they're not looking for like the rare cards or anything. They're just like, I just want to collect all the apple cards. I love that. I think that's so cool. That's so fun. And there's no reason why that shouldn't be what it is. I just hate when people are, you know, just trying to resell everything. Everything's about money. It's all money. There's no joy. Yeah, just has some fun with it. I mean, there's something basic in our human nature where if you give me a box that's wrapped and I can't tell what's inside of it, that's exciting. Ooh, yeah. What might it be? I will get in there. I'm a poor human attribute and some of these businesses spring up around just exploiting that. Yeah, it's the exploitation that sucks. Also, I like when people do it at like art shows. I just went to the Springville Art Festival and I got a little mystery print that was like a block print. Yeah. It was so cute. And I'm like, there's something so fun about being like, I don't know what this is going to be. And like, I don't know. Well, my favorite thing, there's a lot of fun in that. If everything in the chat, Syrinik says, I find joy in watching scalpers get pushed to

the ground. Is that a bad thing? No, it's fine. It's all part of the sport, man. Yeah, they're getting into it. They got to know what the risks are. Yeah, let it rip. You also started, do you guys are watching the bad batch together? So we've been watching the bad batch. It's really good. The problem with the bad batch is it got to a point where it's too good to be a background show anymore. What do you mean by that? Because for a while, it was a lot of like, like, closing clone wars. I'm sorry, you mean like drawing. Yeah. I got it. For a long time, it was a little more background for drawing and crafting and stuff. Where it's like, it's on, we know what's going on, but it's not like so intense or so pay attention that like, we, you know, we can still work. Yeah. But it got to a point where now we're stuck in like these really good episodes that we have to pay attention to. Huh. But you're into it. It's good. It's really good. Kind of want it. Kind of want to watch it. I have Disney anymore. It's good. It's really fun. I guess the least. It's on upstairs on the main thing.

Yeah, really? Yeah, it's Alicia's family's one. I have Hulu, that's it. Hulu. I mean, not in total, but I canceled Disney and I canceled Netflix for two different reasons. Disney pissed me off when the. Disney pissed me off. Now the need of the government. And then Netflix just turned it suddenly said, hey, I would like you to pay us 30 a month. Which is insane. It's like, or you could do that tier and pay us still pay us for that. money that you did originally for Netflix. And you made fun of me for wanting to have DVDs and other physical media. No, I get it. I get it. See all my hopes were placed in the hands of these streamers to like maybe do the right thing. Be decent. That was wrong. No, you should never think that of big corporations. Yeah. I did pay up the extra two bucks the prime added to have it be ad free because two bucks. I can do all that. I hate that. That's why I like to be because I'm like, yeah, you don't get ad free, but also they're like free all around. And it's also sparingly ads. They don't go crazy. They're not too bad.

No, Netflix. It should Netflix pumps their stuff full of ads. It sucks. FM bastards. Where's Reed Hastings now? He was the founder of Netflix. Okay. I don't know who Reed is. This is a boring thing to know. No, I'm not. Jason. We got Jason right now. You don't hear what Jason says? Yeah, tell me your I need info on the miracle dog shampoo. We have a border collie slash Australian shepherd mix. Wasn't that a hilo? Was that Australian shepherd? Right? No. He was a he was a ho shoe. Collie? No, no. What was he? It was a different kind of hunting dog, but he was Australian. And I mean, the breed. He was a blue healer. No, like blueie or like bandit. Yeah. He was a blue healer. Yeah. We had a we had a bandit. Shit. He low. Well, he low could not be contained. That was many, many years before. A long time ago. Anyway, we have a border collie slash Australian shepherd mix who is having a stinky itchy skin

issue and we're trying everything to help. So what is all right? Took a picture of it. The shampoo that you got. Did you take a picture of it? I did. I showed it on TMS. Oh, sweet. Yeah, it's freaking the miracle. I don't know where it went. We just realized that we could spend less money if we tried a couple and we just got lucky with the first one. It's called. It's called on ear butts. I got it right here. It's one of those ones. Do you have to like leave on for five minutes? Leave on. It's like seeping. Kill the bacteria or whatever. There it is. It is veterinary formula. Veterinary formula, clinical care, antiseptic and difungal medicated shampoo. It's a long boring name, but that's the best stuff. Yep. You can get it at Walmart. Yeah, we got it at Walmart. Yeah. There's like ten bucks. And she only had one bath with this stuff and it changed it. It changed everything. Everything changed. She hated it. Absolutely why. Did it get her? Rainer hated it because she hates being wet and sitting there. You know, because I had to sit on her for five minutes. You have to let it condition essentially. Yeah, but we were paying a groomer to make it worse.

I know. To make it worse. Oh, it makes me mad. I know. But she hates it, but it works really well and she's fine. Yeah. I mean, she's happier now. She's never happy. She's never happy in the bath. No, but she's so much happier now. She's not itching all the time. She's. A lot more chipper. Yeah. She looks younger. Yeah. It worked out really well. So Jason, if you're hearing this, go check it out at Walmart. Good luck. Veterinary formula, clinical care, antiseptic and antifungal medicated shampoo. It's in the pet section. Good luck to him. Hugh wrote in. Hugh. He said last week, you mentioned just a sensitivity being a problem related to your high school teachers. I have this problem too. I have quit jobs before because I felt a company was engaging in horse shit behavior. Hell yeah. He says, obviously, do not give Joe Rogan 100 million and let him broadcast fascist propaganda the week before the election. And quote, he must have worked this bottom fine, did he? Oh. And my career is permanently damaged. It looks more and more like I'm going to have to quit this industry and do something on my own like Scott, how do you manage your justice sensitivity better than I do?

I hope. PS doctor once told me my justice sensitivity meant I should be assessed for autism. Personally, I don't think caring about other people should be considered a disorder. But I would love to know what both of you and Wendy think we could always ask her. We should ask Wendy. I also have bad justice sensitivity. I know you do. I haven't because I've mainly worked for companies that aren't as evil. Yeah. But I think I, I potentially would quit a job over that, I think. If I found out that it was like, you know, if it was Tony Stark's company before Ironman, I don't know if I could work for it. Yeah, but what if it was Bruce Wayne, it was Wayne tech, but you didn't know that or you didn't know Wayne tech, the Bruce Wayne was Batman at night saving the city. But during the day, he had to look kind of an A whole CEO type to keep the cover. It's not about that. It's about what the company does. It's not about working for assholes. It's working for evil assholes. So what did Bruce, did Wayne tech make, what did he make stuff for?

Who were their customers? He was just like an investment firm, I think. He did like, here's our, we've invested in this. Technology stuff. We invest in this other random garbage. Maybe I'm just trying to remember like in all the iterations and there's too many to count, except ultimate better absolute Batman where he's poor. My main thing is I agree that we should, that it should not be a punishable offense to have morals and values that conflict with big evil things. Big evil things. I think that's okay. I think that you shouldn't be punished for it and good for you for not cow-towing to symbol shit. Carter isn't like the corpos. I don't know. It's because they keep doing bad stuff. Yeah, if they would quit behaving so poorly, it wouldn't be that bad. Yeah. By the way, I was doing some of this water conservation stuff just doing, looking up what are water, like watering the lawn, what's the impact, where can we cut back, mom and Aaron, thinking about doing some things. And Clover. Clover, more Clover. Another various ground covers.

I mean, illegal Clover H.O.A. But there are things we could do, right? So we've been talking about it and then I happened upon this article and it was gnarly. One, it takes more water to produce or to, sorry, to process a single almond. I've told you that it takes for 30, this is the part you didn't know. It takes 30,000 input queries into an AI model to do one almond. And so if you've had a handful of almonds, I also hate the almond industry. I think it sucks. And they're weirdly boarded up. They're like, they have people in Congress that are constantly like tamping it down, keeping it, you know, making a lot of money. It's really annoying. We're an evil. So we quit doing the almond milk and started doing, um, we do oat milk. And that might also be evil. It's way cheaper to produce that part I know. Yeah. Or way less resources.

I hate it all. I hate it. Yeah. You love this capitalistic society where I'm telling you. You love it. You should all burn down. Yeah, but then, then, then what? Then what will you do? No, no, no, something else. That's good stuff. Yeah. All right. Let us now talk about you. No, we already did. That was you. Thanks you. We appreciate it. And I'll ask Wendy to, because I think it's interesting. Also a doctor saying you need to be assessed for autism because you're so just as minded as a weird thing. That is odd. I don't know what kind of doctor that was, but they seem, like question. Yeah, I have questions. Yeah. I don't like it. Where's your hippocritic oath, buddy? I have qualms. Racer 951 Y says you said jaguars are expensive to fix. And I have not found that to be true in my two, uh, 2010 to 1984. What? Sorry. In my two, a 2010 and a 1984, my Chevy's 10 to be more expensive as they need more work over all than the Jags and Porsches.

I know nothing about cars. I think it just sort of compares to why did it seem come up on here? He's sent it to the wrong TMS. No, we were talking about it. Were we talking about it? Okay. We were talking about the owner of that cafe who put the coffee wine glass. Oh, right. Oh, and then Kevin. Kevin told me they had a situation the other day where somebody left a sandwich on a car just out there. It's so weird. Isn't that weird? What's going on? I don't know. People are losing it. Anyway, I believe him because he knows a ton of car stuff. So I have no reason to not believe him. But if I go by a 2026 Jag, those are the ones I'm talking about. Like new stuff I am told to steer clear. I don't know about the old stuff. Interesting. In the same way I would steer clear of an old Chevy, but I think I'd be okay with like a new one. The most I know about cars is that one looks pretty. And I like that that one uses less gas. Those are your two criteria. That's my criteria. Your sister got an electric. How do you like that? It's fine. I don't know. It's second hand musk. It is second hand musk. Because it's not a new Tesla.

It's an old, it's a used one. Yeah. They're buying it second hand. Which means he already got their money. Yeah. This money went to somebody else. That's how we can justify it. That's how we can just fight. We'll justify it. Yeah, sure. It's all fine. Pyrriting stuff is fine. Is it? Oh, you're a pro pirate now. Oh, yeah. How would I not have been? I wouldn't steal a car. People. I would steal a car from Elon Musk. Nobody would take, you don't, but see, when you say that, you have to be careful. Because you wouldn't download a Chevy. You don't want people taking your art. No. But it's a, it's a scale. You can steal from Walmart and it doesn't hurt them. You know what I mean? But you steal from an artist, a small artist, it hurts them like actively. It's a, I know it's an issue of scale, but it's, to me, it's a little bit of a, it's a moral thin line. For sure. Like is it bad in one way and not the other way? Like I do not feel bad when tons of people stop going to target and target has to take a massive L, massive dump.

I don't feel bad about that because that, that feels like a little bit of justice and it was done in a very normal way. We just stop going there. Yeah. But Warner Brothers is right. You know, everyone's mad at Warner Bros right now. But do I really want people not, and he's fine. He's going to be okay. But do I want people stealing George Miller's Mad Max content just because Warner Brothers sucks? You know what I'm saying? No, I get it. It gets complicated. But also. At the same time, I'm also, I'm also, by the way, I'm also like, you make a, you make a good point. You make, you make restrictions and you make life harder for us. Yeah. You're just asking for more people to swoop in and do this. It's the, it's the, it's the, it's the, not Jean Valjean. Yeah, Jean Valjean problem, where you know, you steal a loaf of bread. Is that as punishable as if you, you know, I always think you're talking about Martian man type. Oh, I know. Jean Valjean. It's because it's just Jean. Jean, Jean, Jean, Jean Jones, Jean Jones, but I think it makes a good point.

If buying is an ownership, the piracy isn't theft. If I can buy something on Apple, but then it goes away off Apple, but they don't give me my money back. And I don't own it. It does not exist within my ownership. Then why should it matter? Oh, no, in that case, it does not get clouded for me. If you say, here's a hard thing to get because they made it hard for you to get it. Yeah. Yeah. This starts to fall away. It's like, okay, see you. You're right. Quart, down with corpos. I'm with you. Down with corpos. F does, guys. It's so stupid and it would be so easy to not be evil. Although Google keep my fiber going, okay, and we're not talking about you today. You think that's why we keep getting blips? No, we haven't had any blips. No, it's actually. I've had like zero blips. I had like one a little bit ago, yeah, when I was streaming. It's always at night. Still think it might be that router that you guys are on. That's a separate run from me. I don't know. I'm connected to the same one. No, I have the long cord. Oh, no, I know that, but you're still connecting to a router in there, whereas mine is coming

from the receiving router upstairs all the way wired and dropped. Yeah. Direct. I think that's helping me, but it may be hurting you. Maybe. I don't know. I'll figure it out. I don't know. This one, this will win to her, but you're great time for me to figure that out. Okay. Samurai Jack quiz. You ready? Oh my gosh. I'm gonna nail this and or be terrible. It's gonna be really embarrassing. I'm so excited to give Carter this quiz because she loves Samurai Jack. I do. It's one of my favorite cartoons of all time. It's time to test her. One of my favorite shows of all time. Really? I did some verification on this to make sure that none of these are screwy. These should all be correct, although you can tell me if any of these are wrong. Here's your first one. What is this? Let's make this clear in context. Carter's favorite show of all time. Her most influential cartoon of all time. Samurai Jack without an equal. There's nothing else that I would like to do. It's because it changed how I viewed cartoons in general, where it went from ha ha to bunch bob to he, which I love also, might do. Sure. Oh, shit, we can have an all that whole episode where no one says a single word.

And it's one of the coolest pieces of art I've ever seen in my life at like seven years old. Yeah. No, I was magical. I was, I was, I was getting to see it too, but I was jealous you got it such a young age. Yeah. Alright, so here it is. This is your all, these are ten of these and they're all final season questions. Just kidding, I made that up. I was gonna beat you up. I think someone else just made that joke. Oh, the right thing. That's awesome. I even want to see it. What is the true name of the tyrannical shaped, shaped, shifting master of darkness who rules the future? Is it a, Demongo, B, Akuh, C, we're starting easy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Scaremuchi, D, the Guardian or, it's Akuh. It's Akuh, it's B. Demongo is a totally different character. I forgot who's Demongo, I forget. He's like made of souls. He's cool. Remember. I'm not a canyon. Alright, we got that right. That's easy. That's easy. Which magical weapon does Jack wield the combat evil? A plasma blade, katana forged by gods, B, Amistic Bow and Arrow, C, Amistical sword,

forged by the pure righteousness of Earth's gods, or D, Amagical Staff, and Beauty of the Time Traveler's Powers. That's a katana. Yeah, but which one? There's only one katana. Well, there's a, wait, wait, wait. No. Since it again. A, a plasma blade, katana, forged by gods. Oh, not that one. I thought that was two different things. Two, because you know it isn't staff or bow. It's the magical sword that is forged by Earth gods. Okay. Yeah. That was supposed to be kind of a part of the coolest episode. That's one of the coolest episodes. It's pretty good. Okay, who gives, here. Two of us up. Who gives Jack the name Jack shortly after he arrives in the future? A, futuristic canine archaeologist. B, a group of hip-futuristic street kids. Bystandard using it as slaying like pal or dude. C, the Scotsman. Okay, here's, oh god. D, a wise monk. Which one is it? It was big. It was a B. Yeah. You're correct. They're like, hey, Jack. It's great. Yeah. Hey, Jack. Yeah, because it's like street name. It's like jive. They're teaching him. Yeah.

It's great. What is the name of the fierce warrior assassin and daughter of the high priestess who eventually becomes Jack's love interest in season five? Oh, I know her name. Here are your options. A, Ashie, B, Iqra. C, the Scotsman's daughter. D, Empress or that's it. I'm assuming Iqra. No, Iqra is Akuh. The first one. The first one, Ashie? Yeah, sure. Let's find out. Which one is it? Correct. Yeah. I didn't know that one. Because Iqra is when Akuh transforms into a lady. And then it's the whole thing. He transitions. Was it a transition? Kind of, I guess. You could consider it that. You got you will call me her. She. She. Her. I'm I pro down. Akuh. All right. Anyway, who is Jack's loudmouth loyal bagpipe playing best friend? The Scotsman. We'll just jump right to it. Nicely done. I gave it away to the other question. He gave the seat. He's what thrown you. I love the Scotsman. He's done by John Maggio. John Maggio, yeah. John Maggio.

Bender. Bender. The Bender. He's also like one of the best characters of all time. Sir Rothschild, the Scotsman, the monk or Demongo again. All right. What is the name of the king who originally fought in a prison acude during the Magical Sword fight before Jack was born? A. Emperor of Japan. B. King Arthur. C. Jack's father to the Emperor. D. Master. Udu. What's Jack's dad? Well done. Yeah, that's also a sick episode. That's a good one. It's actually two episodes. I think you know, most I don't like flashback episodes and a lot of stuff, but they're so good in there. So good. All right. In season two, you watch that. Yep. Jack adopts an alias while trying to infiltrate a bounty hunter syndicate. What is the name he goes by? A. Ronin. B. Jack Black. C. Icra. Or D. John. I'll go with him. It's either John or Ronin. All right. Do you want to say one of those? Which one? Ronin feels right, but maybe John.

Let's do John. Correct. It's Icra. C. What? He disguises himself as a female warrior named Icra. You said Jack. Don't look at it. Huh? You said Jack. Yeah. In season two, Jack adopts an alias. That's Aku that does that. It says that Jack does it. Well, that's a bullshit. Damn it. I talked about this earlier. I liked this site until you told me it's F to get an Aku become girl and is Icra. Are you sure about that? I am sure about that. I sound like what's his name. Are you sure about that? I was thinking about the episode where he goes and hangs out with the, the, um, the, like, gangster guys who are like, oh, I like. Hey, it's not listening to him. Yeah. I love those guys. Yeah. So I was like, maybe I don't remember this, but no, that's stupid. All right. You know what? We won't ding you. We'll just say it's nine questions. I was right. What creature or being guards the mystical time portal that Jack spends most of his, the series trying to reach? A. A massive lava demon. B. A giant stone guardian with sunk giant sunglasses. C. A sphinx with riddles.

D. A council of cosmic dragons. I don't know. This one I knew. I want to say A. We just stop moving the camera. Sorry. Did I miss you? Why are you doing, you're like grabbing us. Sorry. What are you doing? Just exit. Okay. That is correct. That is incorrect. It is a giant stone guardian with giant sunglasses. You don't remember him? I think I do, but that wasn't the main guy guarding that there were many portals. Well, it was mostly a clue. A creature or being guards the mystical time portal. Time portal. Yeah. Him. That question makes sense to me. Okay. I have confusion about that. All right. How about this one? So far now out of nine questions, you have A. Correct. Which iconic group of master hunters does a coup hire in season two to track down Jack? A. The drist clan. B. The amacara. C. The amacandi. Or D. The shadow warriors. The amacandi.

You are correct. Yep. That episode's cool. Can't remember that one. I don't know, man. I feel, I feel jipped a little on those two questions. A little, let's see. An elite tribe of alien like, oh alien lion like. Yeah, the lion hunters. I kind of remember those. They're running around the city. All right. Here's what. Okay. And then they leave them alone because they're like, you were a good prey and we respect you. So we're going to leave you. And then Akku's pissed off. You're going to hate this last question. Yeah. What happens immediately after Jack and Ashi successfully defeat Akku in the final episode of season five? I don't know. Don't tell me it's a spoiler. I don't know. I don't know. Let me just quickly see what this says. No, I don't want to know. Oh. I don't want to know. We got to watch it. He's a HUD. I'm not going to say. I assume he defeated Akku. I'm going to get huge. That's not a big one. I'll give you the point and not make you worry about it. But that's what I just read is exciting. Okay. I don't care about spoilers. Yeah, don't tell me about it.

I don't want to know. All right. Well, there you go. Carter did well. I want to say you got eight out of nine. I win. Well, yeah. Just by the pure math, I think that's a good score. That's better than any. The only one that didn't get right was one that was worded incorrectly and the other one that was worded stupidly. Yeah. What did I tell you guys? Look what Carter gave me for. Oh, yeah. Did you test it yet? No, I still haven't played it. This jerky boys tape. I found a jerky boys tape while I was thrifting. The problem is, or the potential problem is, the tape itself just looks like a basic TK tape with nothing on it. We don't know if it's real. It could be a decoy. But where was it? It was a thrift shop. Yeah, thrift shop. So I'm actually really excited about this. When I was growing up, we all kind of thought the funniest thing we ever heard in our lives was jerky boys. And it isn't really. Like, it's just annoying phone pranks. That's really all it is. But if I can find out if this is real or not, this would be a nice little relic of my past. Yeah. A relic. It smells like cigarettes. Oh. A little bit.

Doesn't seem good. You know what? It smells like cigarettes to me. And people don't agree with me. But peanut butter cookies. Like freshly baked peanut butter cookies. It smells like cigarettes. That's weird. I don't know if it's just bees. It might be. Maybe I'm special. I'm just you. But I'm trying to think if I've never, if I've ever heard that before, I don't think so. Why peanut butter? Does peanut butter smell that way to you? It depends. But usually it's like cooked peanut butter. It has to have that smell of toastie. Yeah. It smells like cigarettes. It's really weird. I'll walk into the kitchen and mom will be cooking. And I'm like, who has been smoking in here? Like it smells like a bunch of cigarettes. I forgot to tell your mother's taken up cigarettes. She's super in love. Cigarettes and peanut butter cookies at the same time. She did try a cigar for the first time in Vegas. It's gross. I think it was Vegas. Or maybe it was T.M. I mean, it was. No, I don't remember, but it was Mitzula. Yeah. You know, because he's the Lord of all that. Mom is easily. I don't know the story. She is. And she's like, all right, whatever. I'll try it. And I can't even be around that stuff.

I can't smell it. I have bad lungs. Blue. Blue. I just want bar. That's why I didn't go to the. The bang. The. Oh, the smoke monster. It wasn't bad though. I know, but I have like sensitive. Yeah. But that rest there, that place that we got. We got the asthma. They basically made you do it in this one area and it was outside. Like, it's still. I walk by people on the street and I'm like, you know, trouble in Vegas. Walking around there. Sometimes. This is why I usually mask even when I'm outside, because it helps kind of mitigate the smoke. We have a very important question. Just hopped in the chat. Red Fraga would like to know, hey Carter, Dash. Have you started reading Dungeon Crawler Carl yet? Yes, actually. Am I in book? No, I have not. Yeah, I'm shit. Here's something else I know about Carter and I do this too to some degree. The more people ask me to do a thing, the less speedy I get to it. Yeah. And you do that with us than me. But again, I don't want people to not ask me because I will forget. I get it. And I appreciate the consideration of like, you know, telling me to do it over and over.

Eventually, I will do it. If you got to hurt me. I have issues. You guys have hurt me and Kora. You've heard me talk about my high bubble problem. Or if there's a big high bubble around something new, I can't bring myself to care. I bugged me that there's so much hype. And I have to wait a while. I either have to be like the first there before the hype happens. Yeah. Or yeah, I have to wait a minute. You have to be the point of the hype. It's why I don't play games. Like, whenever I'm playing video games, usually they're like a year old. Yeah. I very rarely play them when they come out. Yeah. Unless they're like some indie thing I've been waiting for. Yeah, that's the other thing. And part of the reason is it's not over hype because it's you're the one that knows about the indie game and it's small and it's still small. And you want that indie to blow up. But that's what I'm saying is then if it does blow up, I've already planted it. And so it's not, you know, it's like everybody's like, play fan-pire survivors. It's the OG. I'm like, that's part of the problem. I want to play somebody else's take on it that nobody knows about. I want to kind of, where are we hipsters at heart? I don't know. Maybe. I don't feel like it's a cocky thing or like, no, it's not like a screw you. I'm going to do my own thing. It's just genuinely this like, black and desire.

All these other opinions get in my head and they are influencing my impression of things. Yeah. Whether I want to or not, it influences me to know that everyone loved this or hated this or. Yeah. It's almost like you don't want someone else's influence of, I love this thing. It's a big thing and everyone's telling you that you almost don't want that to like spoil it for you if that makes sense. Kind of, yeah. Like ruin it because you're like respecting things. So I tend to bounce on stuff like that. He's right. She did tell everyone about D'Angicara Carle when it was more small and indie. I remember that. She was, she's the first I ever heard of it. Yeah. She was like the first one and then like two years later, everyone went, oh my gosh, this thing. Yeah. Now it's so huge, nobody can contain it. Amy's just cooler than everyone. That's the bottom line. Yeah. You'll find no disagreement for me. All right. Well, there you have it. We've done it. We did it. We did a show and here's the good news right after this.
