The missing history and timeline of the Iran conflict

1:00So it has to be done by you and we have no we have no choice We have to look after ourselves as it should be We don't want to give our health into the hands of someone that has no idea who we are As I've been looking at this past week at the current events I began to realize I don't think most people understand the evolution of where we are today And this war non-war action whatever we're calling it probably a war But I don't think people remember as to the events that let us there So I just want to go over a very few for a minute Remember George Bush 43 well he had a man by the name of Grover Norquest And Grover convinced George to go soft on Iran that they weren't really as bad as they made out to be

2:00And this set the policy for future presidents to soften the policy on Iran Janet Napolitano's DHS secretary under Obama erased everything that was She had from all of the training manuals from the FBI the military So that they really never knew who the enemy was and couldn't study them And any time she had was mentioned they were told Squash it It doesn't count And then of course Obama had his right hand Valerie Jarrett Claire you know a lot more bad Valerie than I do so I will defer to you Valerie Jarrett is the daughter of a couple from Chicago Illinois Who were in the medical field and served at a hospital in Iran at the time she was born Oh okay so that thank you Claire and that is our guest for today

3:04And I'm so glad she's here because she can correct all of the things that I might have misspoke about But anyway Valerie Jarrett was a huge influence on Obama accepting Iran And if you remember we gave pallets of cash to Iran but just as important there was a drone That was shot down in Iran and rather than blowing it up Obama let them reverse engineer and now they have an incredible drone program And of course we then go to Biden who gave what 82 billion dollars worth of military equipment To make sure that you fell into the hands of Iran as he left them I ran away from Afghanistan And of course there were boatloads of cash I think that we should learn from that those experiences and ask yourself this question

4:05How many Americans have to die before we realize that the policies of the past presidents of appeasement don't work And I think that's where President Trump wound up And he said what we're doing is not working we're allowing them to advance And one day maybe not when I'm president but certainly when my children are grown My grandchildren are grown there will be a threat and who knows what the outcome is So if I can control the outcome now I'm going to do it And I think that's what motivated him to initiate the situation, the war that we are in And frankly I'm glad that he did But I have asked Claire Lopez who I always turn to for anything Middle East and China For international news as Claire has worked in the intelligence sector Appreciate your input Claire it is amazing so what do you think about President Trump's actions now?

5:11Well thank you Karen for having me on against you know I think we have to take this back always Even further than than you did with your outline of events there I think we have to go back all the way to the end of the war in Afghanistan When the Soviet Red Army was kicked out at the end of the 1980s By 1990 the forces that had joined in to defeat the Soviets were trickling back to whatever countries they came from Usama bin Laden it was never a fighter but it was a financier And those fighters he had financed they wanted to go back home to Saudi Arabia I forget who the king was at that point it might have been fun But in any case he was wise enough to say no thank you you guys aren't coming back here And so Usama bin Laden and what was not yet coalesced as Al Qaeda but would be soon We're invited instead by Omar al-Bashir the president at that time of Sudan

6:18And his Muslim brotherhood buddy Hassan al-Turabi invited to go there to Khartoum and so they did And others joined like I'm in al-Sawahidi the fighters and so forth And what happened is that Sudan invited all of the representatives of the jihadi world at the time to come to Khartoum Sunnis and Shiites alike and the entire top leadership of the Iranian regime President Ali Akbar Hashemir Afsanjani was there his intel chief Ali Falahyan was there The head of the IRGC Islamic Revolutionary Guard Court at the time Mohsen Raza'i was there important the head of the hisbalah terrorist part of hisbalah

7:20Ahmad Mugna was there and what happened is that Usama bin Laden turns to Iranian president Rafsanjani and says hey I really like what your hisbalah boys do with big building suicide truck bombings Harkening back of course to the 1983 bombings of our Marine Corps barracks as well as the U.S. Embassy, the French got hit too And and so Pasezkian I'm sorry he's the current president of Iran Rafsanjani says hey Ahmad Mugna come on over here you are now in charge of training al-Qaeda to be developing at this point Colessing still training these guys how to do big building truck suicide bombings So the Iranian president put hisbalah terror chief Mugna in charge of training what would become al-Qaeda to do suicide bombings

8:24And what followed 1996 Kobar towers in Saudi Arabia In 1998 the East Africa Embassy bombings in Nairobi Kenya Dar Salam Tanzania October 2020 the U.S. is cold hit not by a truck but by a boat of rubber dinghy I guess In harbor in Yemen casualties to the U.S. Navy I think there were 17 almost sunk the ship but they managed to save it And then finally of course 9-11 itself now all of these were lead ups to 9-11 but our intelligence community was so convinced The Sunnis and Shiites could never ever ever work together that they ignored all the warning signals They completely missed the cartoon meetings which by the way are documented in the 9-11 Commission report of 2004 Miss those meetings entirely miss the Declaration of War

9:26Two of them issued by Usama bin Laden, Iman al-Sawahdi and others One in 1996 one in 1998 know those were not fatwas A fatwa is a religious Islamic doctrine response to a question about Islamic doctrine And it is issued only by an authoritative moustahid that would be a scholar of Islamic doctrine which Usama bin Laden was not Those were declarations of war they were completely missed And on we went Sunnis and Shiites aligned together all the way up to 9-11 Perfect example of the enemy of my enemy is my friend Because these people will get together for anything just to destroy the West And I think that they are doing a great job especially if we look at Europe today

10:29I wanted to ask you a question Claire that came up as you were just talking The relationship of Afghanistan to Iran could you go through that because people have a bad habit of thinking every incident is an isolated incident I believe it's all part of a big plan and everything is connected So what we did in Afghanistan with Biden by giving all of those weapons wound up in the hands of Iranians Not well we've left them for the Taliban which to me is the same difference it doesn't matter A terrorist is a terrorist and the rest of it really doesn't make any difference Yeah so again we will go back to the 1980s and you know the Soviet Red Army invasion of Afghanistan And the United States as well as fighters from all over the Islamic world came to Afghanistan to help defeat the Soviet Red Army

11:39This was you might recall as big near Brazinski's strategy to help bring down the Soviet Empire which eventually that helped to do But there in Afghanistan word fighters from all over the Islamic world And among those fighters were the Saudis that we talked about funded armed by Usama bin Laden and others And there were also you know many from elsewhere around the Islamic world Weagers by the way you wonder why China has it in for the weagers well they're jihadis And they fought with al-Qaeda with the Mujahideen in Afghanistan So in the 1980s though their the al-Qaeda and the Taliban had not yet coalesced or formed completely

12:40They did that after Afghanistan and out of from the ranks of those who had fought in Afghanistan And that's where Sunnis and Shiites came together that's where Sunni Usama bin Laden eventually al-Qaeda merged with or aligned with Shiites, Iranian, Hisbalah to work together You've heard the saying I against my brother my brother and I against our cousins we in our cousins against all the other guys right Well in Islam it's the same concept of called balanced opposition going out in kind of a concentric balanced set Till you get to the macro level of Dar al-Islam the house of Islam where everything is under Sharia under Islamic law Versus Dar al-Harb the house of war all those places that are not yet conquered by Islam and subjugated to Sharia

13:45And that is how even at the local level while Shiites and Sunnis happily tear each other apart and tear each other apart in various battlefields At the macro level they can they did they will and they will again unify to fight against the Dar al-Harb we of the free world of the non-Sharia non-Islamic world Okay now you talked about the 80s and people don't understand that China was not the powerhouse in the 80s that it is today China was becoming an enemy and as the Chinese Communist Party began taking its major foothold It took time for that to happen so the Chinese if they kind of group together of which we have today which is the red green alliance

14:47But in the beginning they weren't that powerful until Clinton came along and said let's put them in the world trade organization And they are a rising power when their whole power structure was to destroy the West Yes well I mean obviously we remember that Mao Zedong took over China marched into Beijing back in 1949 And from that point onwards the CCP Communist Chinese Communist Party and the PLA People's Liberation Army began building their forces And that continued and continues to this day but you're right Karen you know the admittance if you will of the Chinese into the world trade organization It certainly had an important effect under the American U.S. Clinton administration

15:51But you know we'll also remember that there was the Nixon administration that preceded that and with foreign advisor, foreign affairs advisor Henry Kissinger They opened the way if you will in 1972 and onwards into the 70s opened relations with China The historic visit of President Richard Nixon to China And many many at the time his administration and others thought that if China were welcomed into the global community and eventually you know on further became a member of the world trade organization They were opened up you know to relations to trade to commerce that not only would their economics become more liberal in the process of trading with the world as they became more prosperous under such you know an affair

17:01But that they would you know also liberalize in terms of the government and become more democratic representative of their people Well of course that never happened never was going to happen but that was the thought that was the reason for these policies that brought China into you know such a power status or helped at least to build that up To where now just as you say you know the Chinese regime has been part of the red green axis I would say aligned you know of course with Putin's Russia with no longer with us harmonies Iran But with the cutoff now of oil first from Venezuela that take down an early January of Nicolas Maduro and the shut off of the supply of oil from Venezuela to China

18:03And now in operation roaring lions Israel operation epic fury us the oil coming through the straight of hormones out of the Persian Gulf is not moving and is not going to China either China is in a really bad situation and it's not going to get better economically you can basically think president Trump absolutely and into his top advisers secretary of state Marco Rubio secretary of war petex and all the others for this strategy that step by step pulled out the support for this you know What would you call an access of the robes access of the aggressors Venezuela and now Iran and the impact that has on China as well as Russia too

19:03Oh yes definitely has an impact on Russia of course remember folks as the barrel price goes higher that is an advantage to Russia But if they can't get the oil through it doesn't matter what the price is if you can't sell it it doesn't make any difference And I think that's what they're experiencing now I was listening to I think it was blend back this morning and he made a very interesting point that I wanted to ask your question on And he said a lot of the problem with the straights of her moves is that the insurance companies are pulling the insurance off of the ship so that the ships are stuck And can't get through the straight because once they go through the straight they have no insurance against what may happen And president Trump has been addressing that but I don't think people understand Right so what happened is exactly what you say Karen that Lloyds of London maybe other insurers halted their coverage for these various different shipping companies that run the oil tankers in and out of the Persian Gulf

20:19through the straight of hormones because the Iranian regime or whatever's left of it you know has threatened to block the straight of hormones and attack shipping tankers going through Well as you say exactly what president Trump has done is rather offered reinsurance to cover these shipping companies and their tankers with the guarantee from the US government of insurance coverage If they go through the straight of hormones in either direction and in addition president Trump also spoke about the possibility that the US Navy our naval forces would be directed to escort to defend these shipping tankers As they move in and out of the Persian Gulf through the Gulf through the straight of hormones so with those guarantees as well as the fact that we really should make this point that the United States under the president Trump administration second administration is now not just energy independent but energy dominant

21:44That means that oil prices or availability around the world don't really affect the American market except you know as prices worldwide affect the world wide prices of oil But I've heard experts like Larry Cudlow for example and others saying that the current run up in oil prices and therefore at the pump gasoline prices for us who drive gas powered cars is more panic than anything real that there is no shortage yet at the moment of oil on the international market There is oil that stacked up in depots and on these tankers that haven't been able to get through where they're going yes but there's no shortage in the United States for example and oil prices which have topped $100 per barrel are now back down into the 90s as I understand it this morning and they'll go lower

22:54as the insurance guarantees from the US government and if necessary eventually possibly also two US naval escorts for the tankers as they ease the situation there around the Persian Gulf the straight of hormones And as I think just about all I don't know that anything left of it now the Iranian naval forces that could have would have tried to block the straight of hormones maybe mine it or you know attack the ships Now I think most of it not all of the Iranian Navy sits at the bottom of the Persian Gulf Yes I think President Trump said that and frankly I think that is fantastic that's where they belong at the moment because folks I also happen to agree with President Trump We Americans look at things and we say it's right now what has happening right now and what's going on right now and the oil is up to $100 and we're all going to die

24:03This the prices are going to go up and nobody's going to be able to afford anything in the meantime the Chinese the Russians the Iranians they have a long term goal They say if we do this today what will be the effect tomorrow and that's where our people fall down they don't have a what if for tomorrow scenario So we unfortunately don't prepare as they do over the long haul for whatever happens they are more prepared than we are because they look at that and we don't And I believe the Chinese have a hundred year plan to destroy the West and that's what they're working on and they don't care if it's done slowly and it goes to the next generation where we say we we've got to do it right now and get crazy about it Unfortunately that leads to no solution and that's what our leaders have offered us in the past no solution they keep on doing the same thing over and over again

25:09Claire we're going to come to the end of this segment and I'm going to ask you to come back because we haven't talked about what's going on in Latin America and in Europe And as I said in the beginning of the show everything is connected everything has a plan there are no coincidences And a lot of these plans are based on lies because our leaders have no idea what's going on as I said they don't have a plan Yes, yes, let me say president Trump is different. Yeah, he has a plan until the past leaders they were just oh we did that we'll do that again we gave the money will give the money they'll be they'll be happy with the money We'll send all of our manufacturing to China will be happy they'll be happy with that well it doesn't work that way so Claire hang with me for a few minutes and we will be right back folks don't go away this is Karen shown

31:44for this past weekend and it is so sad the strawberry farms are being replaced with solar panels the orange grobes are missing too they still have a festival and there are still a lot of berries but the locals told me about the replacement and you can see it in the plants now why am I telling you that because as Florida is being the food source is being decimated and our solar panels are being purchased in China our food is coming from Latin America and when you look at the fruits and vegetables first of all to me they are not as fresh as they were when they came directly from China and from they came directly from America because they are sitting on a ship they are sitting in a truck they are doing all of those things that even includes raising the price of the food

32:50because when you have to truck it in when you have to bring it in by ship or bring it in by air there is a huge added expense to that rather than growing it in America well President Trump I believe recognizes the resources that Latin America offers in an alliance with America and therefore he has helped and supported many of the new leaders in Latin America and these leaders also recognize the importance of Argentina first or El Salvador first and what an alliance with America not China will offer so I've asked Claire to lend her expertise and give us a little bit of a lesson of what's going on in Latin America and how that benefits America because that's another thing that people say Claire oh he's only working on world policy and he's not paying attention to America

33:57without realizing that America is part of the world we're ever safe world absolutely America right absolutely good points you're making there Karen it is all connected and President Trump is really a strategic thinker on a grand scale you're talking about what is going on in Latin America in particular and of course there has just been concluded down in Florida at the Darrell it's a resort area Trump resort area in Florida just concluded today I believe and it was a meeting of the countries in Latin America that will be part of what is called the shield of the Americas and that will be headed up by the way by Kristi Nome who recently has departed will be at the end of this month of March he's departing her post at Department of Homeland Security

35:00and you're right Karen to mention you know a number of these newly elected or at least sort of recently elected leadership figures in Latin America like naive bouquelli in El Salvador he's on his second term there now you name Javier Millet president in Argentina new elections that have brought conservatives to power in places like chili and and Honduras and in other places all of them by the way sent representatives to this Florida meeting of the shield of the Americas and then we move to look at Venezuela right and what president Trump did and Secretary of War ptexeth a lot of credit goes there to capturing the dictator of Venezuela not ever genuinely legitimately elected president

36:02the dictator Nicholas Maduro and his wife on an outstanding Department of Justice arrest warrant for narco trafficking and other offenses brought to stand trial in New York what he did in removing Maduro from Venezuela from power there has all kinds of repercussions that are not even finished playing out yet Maduro's vice president Delci Rodriguez has been moved up to the to be the interim president in Venezuela and an awful lot of what was there before is still there you know embassies of Russia, China, Cuba, Iran all still there but there are some well and also I should say that the colectivos these militias at the local level that suppress the population as far as I know they're still there under the command of Dioz Dado Careo who was or is still I guess the intelligence minister

37:13so a lot is still there but here come to the point of what what has been removed what is not there anymore is Venezuela's control over its own oil production and export we may know that that Venezuela holds enormous reserves of oil but it's in a very thick heavy kind of a tar sands crude oil that's very difficult to refine needs specialty fineries to do it but previously a lot of that had been shipped out of Venezuela to places like Cuba like Mexico which does have the refineries to refine it to usable form also to China which also built special refineries to handle this heavy crude oil from Venezuela well that crude oil is no longer going to Cuba from Mexico or anywhere else to China

38:21and this is having an enormous impact on Cuba let's start there people of Cuba are in the streets again we just saw this over the last couple of days they're in the streets chanting and calling for Libertad Libertad meaning Liberty Freedom and the oil is not going to China which also is going to have its own is already having its own economic difficulties in large part because it had to import so much of its oil a lot of it coming out of Venezuela a lot more coming out of the Persian Gulf which those ships are no longer going to China either so strategic thinking global thinking by President Trump and his cabinet team this is affecting adversaries enemies of America all over the world to our benefit

39:22and the benefit of the American people and it is fabulous to see a leader like President Trump has the ability to say if I can get rid of their suppliers it will cause a downfall of that country instead of going after the country also they were getting the oil at a greatly reduced price which enabled them to produce materials or products at a greatly reduced price and therefore be major competition for American companies who couldn't repay a greatly reduced price for the same product and I think it's a wonderful thing even though our products may be a few dollars more I do remember in the 90s and the 80s and 90s it was always buy American because the Chinese products will fall apart they may be cheap but you get what you pay for

40:26and buying American was always something that offered a great deal of quality and that's what Americans had focused on quality where the Chinese focused on quantity so if you're buying stuff from Temu I suggest you buy it right away because prices will probably go up quite a big deal now Claire this then opens up a whole new world of being able to have resources because let's also remember we got a lot of beef and we got a lot of produce from Argentina we used to get a lot of different resources from the I believe was Mexico has one of the largest silver manufacturer silver mines in the world so if we could help straighten out Mexico that might help

41:27but the idea to make those countries solvent and not dependent is what President Trump is aiming at and by doing that it makes America more solvent and more able to focus on America and that's the problem that I have with all of these talking heads that are constantly saying oh President Trump is only interested in what's going on in the world he's not interested in what's going on in America I disagree because if we didn't straighten out the world then we would be in the same hole that we were in before but we have a big problem I think when we look at what's going on in Europe do you believe that Europe is hopelessly lost or well there's always hope do you think with the right leadership that Europe might also come around?

42:31No I don't believe that Europe is hopelessly lost I think that they have some really serious problems and questions they're going to have to address and a lot of that has to do with the loose policies of allowing immigration places like the Middle East where those coming in have absolutely no interest in assimilating into Western European culture, civilization but rather come with intentions to impose their own ideas of civilization and air quotes and a lot of that having to do with Islam, Islamic law, Sharia so I think that President Trump has addressed this head on in two different years last year at the Munich Security Conference of Vice President JD Vance spoke and especially addressed in his remarks there the failure of European countries

43:36the Christian formerly Christian countries of Europe to stand up for their own values but also the way that a lot of those countries, Britain, France, Germany, others are not upholding the values of free speech, freedom of the press that was JD Vance's speech last year, this year it was Marco Rubio's turn Secretary of State and he spoke at the Munich Security Conference just ended a while ago a week or two or something ago and he also addressed these same issues that if Europe is to retain its identity as a Judeo-Christian civilization and be able to stand up for its own defense in the face of an aggressive invading empire of Russia for example

44:41they're going to have to take some serious steps but to begin with upholding or returning to upholding basic civic liberties and we're seeing pushback in Britain for example against their Prime Minister Kair Starmer who's been a hopeless disaster he is a hopeless disaster but maybe not long for his post as Prime Minister with the people of Britain having had just about enough of him so there are a lot of things that can and should be done President Trump and his Cabinet people are really pushing Europe I think in the right direction I think saying to NATO we're not going to fund you forever, we're not funding you anymore actually we really don't see a reason why we should even participate in NATO because all you're doing is buying oil from Russia

45:42which enhances Russia and then you're having us come and offer protection against Russia and that kind of doesn't make sense at all and I think he's done with that so I'm glad that the shield of America maybe will replace the concept of NATO and have the Americas join together and be able to withstand the onslaught from the CCP and Chinese I was very pleased to see what went on in Texas with the amendment what was the Proposition 10 that said no Sharia in Texas but then we had a judge in Florida that said that Governor DeSantis's executive order citing Kair as a domestic terror group

46:42is unconstitutional is that insanity clear? Well a few things so the first thing I would go back to NATO it is not done and over with we in the United States of America are absolutely and a critical part of NATO and we will continue to be so but under President Trump the other member countries of NATO have been pushed to increase their GDP percentage of GDP spending on defense not just up to the required to I was a 2.5% but now many of them moving on up to a pledge to 5% of GDP on their own defense so that is a very welcome development there. Come back to the United States and yes the shield of the Americas should be a very important new grouping under United States leadership coming back to what you just said about Texas and Sharia

47:45you know we don't really have the need for any more laws about Sharia or Islamic law at the state level or any other level we already have Article 6 of the US Constitution which says the supreme law of the land shall be the Constitution of the United States and the laws derived from it you don't need any more laws all you need to do is enforce the Constitution we already have which says that US law constitutional law is the supreme law of the land and Trump's state law local law also not just alien law like Sharia but the constitutional law Constitution is supreme and takes precedence over even state laws so you don't need any more laws I don't know why they're bothering all they have to do is enforce Article 6 come to Florida and you know there the designation or the intended bill I guess to designate care

48:53and I think the most in brotherhood also as terrorist organizations is kind of silly neither one of them has ever committed a single act of terrorism against the United States or Americans not care and not the most in brotherhood but what they do do they're both absolutely jihadist organizations and as such what they're doing is very much in line with what was written in the 1991 memorandum explanatory memorandum of the most some brotherhood which called for civilization jihad a jihad within our societal institutions taking over by way of subversion it's got nothing to do with terrorism forget terrorism and nothing to do with terrorism it has to do with subversion from within of our our societal institutions academia government at every level our faith communities obviously media

50:01you know to include entertainment the business world you know Wall Street on and on but there's nothing to do with terrorism forget about designated them as terrorists they're not terrorists they're jihady subversives and we are not yet at the sophistication level we need to be as Americans as Western civilization really to counter subversion which by the way there is no law in the US criminal code against subversion yes against terrorism obviously you know against sedition against seditious conspiracy but no law against subversion which means we've really got to up our game to subversion and forget about all this terrorist stuff it's got nothing to do with it I think that's what they're doing they're using the word terrorism in place of subversion because most for the most partner people don't understand

51:04but all of this is really part of what is called the color revolution where their goal is to change the culture of the country and they do that by infiltrating a variety of groups and group variety especially schools and that's their big number and I believe if we got and if we expose this in the schools then there would be a much clearer understanding but unfortunately my beef is they don't teach American history and if you ask most of our legislators to explain the sixth amendment in the Constitution they will look at Article 6 rather if you ask our legislators to discuss Article 6 in the Constitution they'll probably say we have six articles really most of them have I wonder how many of them have gotten in office without even reading the Constitution

52:1027 amendments yes but they have no clue and they are it's really very sad and then again I turn to us we the people and it's sad because we are not holding them accountable we are not vetting our candidates we are not asking the tough questions we are continually saying oh he sounds nice he looks good he has such great speech I'll vote for him he's such a handsome person she's so pretty blah blah blah and instead of saying have you read the Constitution do you believe it's the supreme law of the land do you know what is going on economically in your state that for example in Florida that replacing crops with solar panels leaves us nothing to eat are you thinking and most of the time we don't do that that's our job and we are falling down on our job
