Matt and Nick are flying solo after the FCC pulled their live-crowd permit for “reasons” that may or may not involve nudity. With no audience and no pants, they dive headfirst into chaos: four band members, four random adjectives. Things go south fast when “hard” comes up first and “confused” isn’t far behind. Somewhere between arguing about Goose’s piano player and Fishman’s bowel regularity, a legitimate Phish discussion actually breaks out.

They time-travel to Fall ’96 for a full breakdown of the Auburn Hills show, complete with divided skies, painful pauses, and enough nerdy detail to make even Mike Gordon blush. Along the way they reinvent podcast copyright law, debate who in Phish would choose which superpower, and accidentally invent Fishman’s new alter ego: Laundry Buddy, defender of muumuus, sworn enemy of vacuums.
