The discussion shifts to pondering the comedy writer's mind and what makes it tick. Joe finishes his narrative chronicling how he ended up working for The Late Show with David Letterman and what working there was like at that time. What was the task behind the scene new writers were made to do? The answer lies within this episode. Other moments were discussed and this episode finishes, to Mike's absolute delight, musing over the events of Late Night TV in 2010 when Jay and Conan contended over the Tonight Show and Dave & Company made fun of the ordeal for what seemed like months.
