George Schweitzer may well be the most successful marketer in the history of network television. He was employed by CBS for a hair under 50 years, much of that heading up marketing for the entire network. He's seen it all over a career that spanned multiple generations. One of the many things he saw, promoted, and gave tremendous respect and leeway for was David Letterman and Company. He was the guy who was there 29 years ago when Dave came over to CBS and helped craft and spearhead one of the most defining marketing campaigns in entertainment history. And the best part about it is that its one of his favorite moments of that remarkable career, and he was more than willing to come on 'The Letterman Podcast,' and relive some of those memories. But it wasn't all highs! There were many peaks and valleys, all of which contain anecdotes and stories that fascinated Mike, and might just do the same thing for you.
