The Letterman Podcast 011 Jeff Altman

Jeff Altman is a legendary entertainer. He is a stand up comedian of the highest regard, an actor of many disciplines, a musician (yes, drummers are musicians too;) and a close up magician.  Jeff Altman also has known and been friends with David Letterman in 6 decades, from the 1970's to the present. 

Becoming fast friends, Jeff and Mike have a delightful conversation about his history with Dave over the years, what it was like to go through some of the ups and downs with Dave, Jeff's style and method when it came to stand up and more. They reminisce about many of Jeff's moments on Dave's shows, and get even more granular, trading memories of individual words or phrases Dave said that have endured. Jeff also shares details of the letter he wrote Dave just before he retired from the Late Show in 2015. We at the Letterman Podcast are delighted that Jeff is a friend of the show.
