The leftist worldview often places significant trust in the power and role of government, viewing it as the primary force for establishing order, promoting social justice, and addressing societal issues. In this perspective, government is seen not just as an administrative body but as a central moral authority responsible for guiding and shaping the values of society. Proponents of this view may look to the state to enforce equality, provide social welfare, and regulate behavior in pursuit of collective well-being. As a result, the government is sometimes perceived as the ultimate arbiter of what is right and wrong, taking on a role akin to that traditionally filled by religious or spiritual institutions. While this perspective is rooted in a desire to improve society, critics argue that it risks over-reliance on centralized authority, potentially undermining individual freedoms and personal responsibility.
