That's a joke CBS 58 though has in fact been in fourth place out of four pretty much forever. And it was a bad bad story. Before that, a bad bad tweet via journal Sentinel reporter by the name of Hope Karnop who would like you very much to know that Tom Tiffany's miraculous rescue and miraculous cheating of death, surviving the plane crash in seven feet of water, five to six feet away. It wasn't that impressive because Lake Wasaw is only 30 feet in depth and has a median depth of seven feet. Couple of callers do remember the box. I remember it. If I remember right, you called in and requested videos.

6:15Yes, it was like MTV, but with a request. It was like total request live 10 years before total request live was a thing. All right, all right. I get it. I get it. Not everybody shares my elder millennial point of view. Do you want to know the ultimate millennial thing that I did today, not totally intentionally? So I'm on my phone and I was looking up something and I had to go to YouTube to try to find a cut. And you know YouTube has the for you videos. The algorithm decides what you want to watch. Would you believe that I spent 10 minutes walking to my car, cleaning up a little bit in the garage and then driving to work while watching and then listening to limp biscuit perform at Woodstock 99. I don't think there is a more elder millennial thing that you could possibly be watching than that. All right, but that will you stop interrupting?

Yeah, because we got a show to do, ladies and gentlemen, though Wisconsin Supreme Court decides that spitting on a black teenager is worthy of a law license suspension, but apparently committing about as bad and egregious an abuse of your power as a judge is not, we will get into that. There is some nuance that people are missing. The Shorewood spitter, the female attorney who was convicted of spitting on a black teenager in the 2020 George Floyd summer of love riots or excuse me, the fiery but mostly peaceful protest.

8:21She was convicted in 2023 and the Supreme Court suspended her law license today, a day after they declined to summarily suspend the law license of Hannah Dugan, who was convicted earlier this year and sentenced in a case in which she abused her power by helping a violent illegal alien criminal who was to appear before her escape from federal law enforcement custody by sneaking him through the jury room doors. We will get to that story in just a second, but first it is all about the narrative. Yeah, the narrative. Yeah, so you can take that imperative and stick it up your yeah, there are a whole lot of people who have no idea what I'm talking about because the rap rock, lip biscuit, kid rock era was so short lived. It's sort of start everybody knows the song, uh, jump around, right? It's the official UW Madison start of the fourth quarter.

9:22Let's get hyped up if you've never been to a badgers game and experienced jump around where everybody in the stadium is jumping. If you've ever been in the press box, by the way, it can't brand the whole thing shakes that that is not you might have heard media people say, yeah, they're exaggerate. No, the entire press box shakes. It's somewhat terrifying, but also pretty awesome. House of pain sort of started that they got, you know, the white boy hip hop that the Beastie boy sort of started and they kind of took it in more of a rock direction and then limp biscuit and kid rock burst on the scene. You had corn. They were doing sort of a rap rock, but it was very specific. It was very late 1990. I graduated from high school in 1999. So this is like right in my what? What's yeah, it was the complete. It was the it was the rejection of Britney Spears and the Backstreet boys and in sync. I don't know what Dave Michaels drank before this show, but my goodness. 10:27you were doing your morning show kick. All right. So he's loopy since he's been working since about 5 a.m. I'll give you a pass. Much as I would like to talk about the music of my youth, we need to talk about what's going on today. What's going on today is a deliberate narrative setting by the media to make you think that the economy under Trump is devastatingly bad because the price of gas is very high. The price of gas is very high. CPI, the consumer price index was higher in August than it should have been. The Federal Reserve as a result raised interest rates yesterday. And now the narrative is that the economy is spiraling. That Trump destroyed the economy. I've got a question for you. All right. I'm seeing all the texts come in. People who remember what the box was. If Trump's economy is so bad, what is the official poverty rate in the US right now?

11:37Is it at record highs? Is it anywhere near record highs? I'll even go since after the Great Recession or after I don't even count COVID-19. But it's got to be somewhere there because COVID, there were layoffs, but that wasn't a standard economic downturn. That was artificial. Government made all of the businesses shut down. Naturally, people were going to be out of work because the government said they couldn't work. It's got to be really high, right? Ron, the US Census Bureau released its data for 2025 on Tuesday. The official poverty rate last year, the first year that President Trump was in office, was down half a percent from 2024 and hit the lowest official poverty rate on record. The records for the US Census Bureau began being kept in 1959. Roughly 34.5 million people living

12:44in poverty. That is an all time low. Child poverty hitting a record low of 13.4 percent. Record low Hispanic poverty rate, 13.9 percent. All right, well, down, down, down. Yes, okay. People aren't in poverty anymore. It's because, well, there was a generous expansion of the social safety that underbited, right? Okay. Yeah. Well, no, it's that people are going back to work and people are making more money. Well, sure, down, but inflation is eating that up. Of course, people are going to make more money. Of course, in terms of total dollars, people are going to make more in 2026 than they were in 1976. That's just normal inflation. That's normal, 2 percent year over year inflation for 50 years. Yes, in terms of total dollars, people are going to be making more. The Census Bureau also reported on Tuesday that inflation adjusted median household

13:54income hit a record high 87,460 dollars in 2025. Highest level on record since record keeping began in 1967. What was the previous peak? Now you might be saying you might be saying, okay, yeah, okay, fine. That was Biden as evidenced by the fact as evidenced by the fact down that the the previous high was 2024. You see, because Biden and the Democrats did such a good job of getting us out of the Trump disaster of COVID-19. No, previous record high inflation adjusted median household income was 2019 also under Donald Trump. All right, all right, all right. You might be saying if you are a lib listening to me or you're somebody who believes you, maybe you like Trump, but you think the second term is a total disaster. The Iran war ruined everything

14:58that that this is just this is awful stewardship of the nation's economy. You might be saying, okay, get yes, fine, fine. But it's only the wealthy white people at the top end of the income spectrum. They're seeing all of these gains. No, white households were up 3% year over year from 2024 to 2025. Black households saw a real median income increase by 4.8%. A whole lot more percentage wise of the increase in inflation adjusted real median household income was going to black households, meaning that people are doing better across the racial divide across the socio economic spectrum. Now nobody likes to talk about this as I well, Dan, not everybody's invested, but the S&P 500

16:02did hit multiple highs in 2025 and earlier this year, the record closed 7,798 on August 13th. The stock market being up so incredibly high so quickly, it closed for the first time above 6,000. Can you guess the day if you had to guess it was during Biden, but there was an event that precipitated a massive stock market run. I'll give you a hint. It was very late in Biden's term. It was about six days after Donald Trump was reelected president that S&P 500, which of course is the very broad gauge of the nation's economy. The Dow Jones industrial average is a composite of the biggest few companies, but the S&P 500 gives a very, very broad gauge. The NASDAQ pretty much focuses on tech Dow Jones industrial, which most people use

17:08because it's the big boys. It's supposed to represent a broad swath of the nation's economy. The S&P 500 will tell you the overall strength of the nation's economy because it's not just focused on the magnificent 7, the invidians, the Palantir, the companies that have been leading the way, while others have been sort of foundering. No, the S&P 500, the broad coefficient of companies in this country are doing very, very well. Now, what does that mean for the average worker? What that means is that your retirement accounts have likely gone up significantly. Have you heard any of that data as we talk about affordability as we talk about the fed raising interest rates? Did you hear anything about the Census Bureau reporting on Tuesday, the day before the fed raised rates, day before that we have the lowest level of poverty in this country on

18:12record going all the way back to the 1950s, and we have the highest median household income ever adjusted for inflation. So it's not total dollars. Inflation is taking a smaller bite out of the pie than you would think. You're not hearing about that why because there is an attempt at setting a narrative and the narrative is that this economy is destroying. This economy is terrible. It's inflation and Dan, you might be saying right now you're listening to me, you hurt all of this data. You might be saying, well, Dan, it's ironic that you're ripping on the lib medium for setting a narrative. Aren't you setting a narrative yourself? Everybody knows it's all about affordability, Dan. It's all about inflation. It is all about Donald Trump spiking inflation and making everything unaffordable. No, actually, it's not. Everything was unaffordable well before Trump came back to power. Now explain using numbers that you have I guarantee it

Maybe there are people on the right who are convinced that Donald Trump and the war with Iran is destroyed the nation's economy. This is what's led to the affordability crisis. Let's have the discussion because you have been fed a narrative that simply does not align with

25:35reality. The affordability crisis is real, but all of the unaffordability, the massive spike in all of the things that people can no longer afford happened under Biden. That's just a fact. I went back and researched the average price of an existing home, rent, new car, use car, utilities, residential electric bill, food at home, food away from home, the so-called basket of goods. How much, say, an average grocery bag would cost and the big Mac index. How much a big Mac cost in January of 2021 compared with January of 2025. The month Joe Biden took office. The month Democrats were sworn in and took control of Congress. They had control of the House

26:40representatives. They won control of the Senate following the runoff elections in Georgia in early January and they had full control of government. When they did, the average price according to the national association of realtors of an existing home was $303,900. The day that Biden left office, the day that Trump was sworn in January 20th, 2025, average price, $396,900. In four years, the average price of a home had gone up nearly 31%. $93,000 and not only that. The Federal Reserve, in the last couple of years of Biden's presidency, because of the massive inflation that was created by Biden's reckless and the Democrats truly reckless and destructive fiscal policy. The American

27:44Rescue Plan, which dumped $1.9 trillion in new government spending and stimulus checks onto an economy that was already starting to heat up, creating the classic helicopter drop problem, i.e. if you drop a helicopter, you drop $100 bills from a helicopter, people pick them up and start spending those $100 bills. The price goes up because all of a sudden you have got more dollars coming out and nowhere chasing the same amount of goods and services. There wasn't just a whole bunch of big Macs that dropped from the sky that McDonald's could pick up and sell to people at the same amount of big Macs, but more demand for the big Macs. This was what caused inflation and as a result of that, the Federal Reserve was forced to raise interest rates multiple times. Not only was the price of your average home, this is just the average home. Folks, one of the big problems was the price of a starter home, the price of a house that would have been about $100,000 in 2021 was going up

28:48much, much higher than that. A home that was $2 million in 2021 was probably going to be somewhere in the neighborhood of $2.2, $2.3 million, depending on where you were. It was at the lower end because you had so much more competition for homes that was squeezing people out. Not only did you have the price of your principal payment going up in your mortgage, you also had the interest rates going up because the only way that the Fed could get all of the excess inflation out of the system was to raise interest rates. Typically, your mortgage payment is your biggest monthly and annual expense. Right? When that goes up 30.1% in four years, unless your salary went up 30.4%, 30.6%, I guess, you are going to have to scramble a little bit. That's it.

29:48Typical rent, according to Zillow, day, Biden and Democrats took office, $1,721, day he left office, $1,968, that is an average of a 14% increase, $247. Once again, this is average across the nation. You go to New York, you go to Chicago, you go to Boston, you go to anywhere where there was a sudden massive influx of illegal immigrants who suddenly needed to be housed and that number was up by a significantly higher percentage. Well, and this, this Dave says while Biden broke it, Trump said he would fix it and voters don't believe he has. That ultimately is the core of what the issue is. How would you get prices down to preinflationary levels? That's it. Dave didn't even go into my ear. I could read his

30:53lips through the glass. You can't. Barring a massive, and I mean massive recession akin to the Great Depression, there is nothing a president can do. What Biden and Democrats did to this economy was permanent. It is irreversible and it is unforgivable. A new car averaged $40,000 in 2021. It hit 49,000 in 2025. An increase of 8,000 bucks 19% almost 20% increase. You want to buy a used car? Good luck. Prices increased by an even greater margin. Average $21,000 in January 2021 up to $26,000 in 2025. Those are your business two biggest expenses, transportation, housing, right?

31:56What's the next one? Utilities, electricity, those two were up significantly fuel and utilities up 30%. The average residential electric bill up 35%. Food is another big one. The BLS Bureau of Labor Statistics, price of food at home CPI up 23%. Food away from home restaurants bars. That sort of thing up 30%. The way purchasing power is typically measured. You can say, all right, inflation is up by this much and whatever. In order to really hammer at home, economists created the basket of goods, not the basket of deplorables. Although when you hear these prices, you would think everything you buy and the prices for those are pretty doggone deplorables. So we have the basket of goods. This is food, shelter, energy, cars, medical,

33:03the basket of goods index. It increased 21.4%. Meaning the things that you need to buy or all of the things that an average American was going to buy was up 21% under Biden. Anyone got a 21% raise in those four years? The actual basket of goods was $100. Okay. So $100 basket of goods. When he left $121, the big Mac index, a lot of economists said, all right, the basket of goods, it's kind of abstract. We want to measure it in the actual price of something that people can relate to the price of a big Mac. How much was a big Mac? Like the actual big Mac burger, sandwich itself, how much was it? When Biden took office, it was $4.89. When he left office,

34:12$5.79, up 18.4%. The reason the big Mac is used is because, well, people made it fashionable. Libs made it fashionable to hate McDonald's after that one fraud did super size me, the documentary in which he deliberately didn't eat the salads, which were on the menu at the time. He didn't have the yogurt parfaits, which are actually healthy. Someone else did a documentary in response showing you could actually lose weight eating nothing but McDonald's. I mean, hell, that pervert lost how much weight eating nothing but subway. We don't talk about him much anymore. But the big Mac index is a reliable indicator because it's what something that should be affordable should cost. It all spiked. Well, Dan, Dan, Trump was promising to fix things. Trump was promising to get all of this under control. And he didn't, what if I told you,

35:16dear listener, that that narrative, too, is completely manufactured. We'll bust another myth when the Dan O'Donnell ship. Wastert NFL in press play. 36:23reporter who was trying to do some narrative crafting. And it was about as blatant and specific as it gets. Very, very nice, man. Very, very good guy, very kind, not accusatory. But it was obvious what he was trying to do. He works for Politico. The story is either going to come out this weekend or next week. And I'm going to tell you about it coming up in the next hour because it is just so revealing. Welcome back to the Dan O'Donnell show as we bust the narrative that the affordability crisis is the fault of Republicans and that Trump didn't do enough to get prices down. And he went to this foolish war with Iran that raised gas prices. You want to bust this narrative, shall we? Remember when we were told that the outset of Trump's term that egg prices, egg prices were out of control. I will never forget this because the second

37:27that Democrats tried to craft that narrative, egg prices collapsed. There was an avian flu outbreak that was causing a massive increase. Egg prices have fallen from their peak early in the Trump administration by 40%. Prescription drug prices thanks to Trump RX thanks to most favored nation pricing agreements with drug manufacturers. Another Trump achievement that simply is not covered. I mean, this is not prescription drug prices declined. And then this year with those most favored nation cuts, you saw a huge drops in the price of insulin inhalers, GLP ones like ozempic dairy products, bacon, bread, other grocery staples, the prices have actually fallen since Trump took office. Remember I said how used vehicle prices dramatically

38:28increased. You know, by the way, what the worst possible thing for the price of cars has been what made cars completely vehicles completely unaffordable cash for clunkers. Dave, excellent memory. The Obama administration had one of the single worst policies possibly in modern history to simply buy up the supply of used cars because oh my goodness, they're going to pollute the earth. And we want to give people quick cash for their old cars that they wouldn't be able to sell. Problem is people kind of liked driving their old clunkers. I didn't have necessarily a clunker. Price of gasoline up 27.4 percent fuel oil up a staggering 52 percent. What percentage of the CPI, the consumer price index, do you think energy costs make up?

40:3430 percent. That's a good guess. 7 percent. That surge in energy prices, even though energy makes up just 7 percent of the CPI inflation calculation, that is almost all of the surge in pricing. That's why we have a core CPI reading. Core CPI strips out the more volatile food and energy prices. So you get a better, more accurate reading of how much things are actually going up. Core goods year over year up 0.7 percent. New vehicles 0.6 percent use cars to climb 2.3 percent. Core CPI, in fact, was 2.4 percent year over year and food, the other aspect of the volatile energy prices was only up 2.2 percent. There's a grocery. So food at home, 2.2 percent.

And the last time I was at $100, the gas prices were at like $3.3340 under Biden. It's because the refinery capacity has also been harmed. The price of crude is only about like 45 to 50 percent of

59:23the price of gasoline. You also have a whole lot of cost in refining. You have marketing. You've got to sell your gasoline, just like any other product. You've got transportation costs. We're still dealing with this now, though, because President Trump abandoned his own belief about Iran. The next time Iran attacks this country, go in and grab one of their big oil installations. Let's go down the list because this, this isn't Israel attacking the United States. This is Iran. 52 Americans held hostage for 44 days from 1979 to 1981. The US Embassy bombing in Beirut April 1983, 17 Americans killed

Bombing of the US Embassy in Kuwait, December 1983, 1984, William Buckley, the CIA station chief also Beirut. It was not Israel. It was Iran. He was kidnapped. He was tortured. He was murdered September 1984. The bombing of the US Embassy annexed in Beirut, killed an additional two US service members. December 1984. The hijacking of Kuwait Airways flight 221 diverted to Tehran, two American officials on board were killed. June 1985, the hijacking of TWA flight 847. US Navy diver Robert Stetham is murdered. 1988, 1989, the kidnapping and killing of US Marine Colonel William Higgins. He was a UN observer in Lebanon. Throughout the 1980s, this was the

Then 1996, Saudi Arabia, Hezbollah and the IRGC, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, credited with the Kobar Towers bombing that killed 19 US airmen. From 2003, pretty much through the end of the Iraq war, the Iran-backed Shiite militias used IEPs or excuse me, IEDs, rockets, EFPs, and other weapons against US forces in guerrilla slash terror attacks for years. 603 American troops were estimated to have lost their lives because of Iran's terrorist armies attacking our soldiers. In January of 2020,

1:08:00there was a direct Iranian ballistic missile strike on al-Assad airbase as well as air bill in Iraq following the killing of Iranian general Qasim Soleimani, more than 100 US troops in those bombings, suffered traumatic brain injuries. This was precipitated by Iran shooting down an American drone President Trump in a little bit of poetic justice used a drone to kill Soleimani. Throughout this decade, in Syria, in Jordan, in Iraq, rocket attacks, drone attacks, Iran-backed militias have been targeting US bases and US personnel throughout the region. January 2024, a drone attack, tower 22 in Jordan. Three American soldiers killed and dozens of others injured. That right there is an act of war within two years of when Iran was actually

1:09:05attacked. In fact, starting in October of 2023 with the October 7th bombing that was masterminded and funded by Iran that killed multiple Americans. Several dozen Americans died in the October 7th attack. That is a declaration of war that targeting of American civilians, it was not just an attack on Israel, it was an attack on America. But from October 2023 through 2024, there were more than 180 missile drone-targeted attacks on American positions in Syria, Iraq, and Jordan, following immediately following the Hamas terror attack on Israel. They attempted to assassinate President Trump on multiple occasions, including one that apparently our intelligence suggests was very, very close to succeeding.

1:10:09You're telling me all of that was not just for 40 plus for nearly 50 years since the dawn of the Ayatollah regime. This has been the most evil nation on earth and I can't even think of a close second. The mistake was not biting the head off of this snake and burying it to remains in the desert. It was not finishing the job. If ever there was a justified war, it is the war against the nation that if it had, who do you think Iran calls when the Ayatollah is giving his big speech or was giving his big speeches? He says, you know, he sees all the algos and he sees all the he says, dad, I never, and I swear to God, this is not me saying, oh, yes, my three-year-old son says, you know how the lives are notorious for this? They say, oh, well, little, little, I don't even know.

1:12:20What would be a stereotypical little barfall of you? It's like he said, he said, no one is free until Palestine is free. That was his first sentence. Oh my God. Yeah, from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free. He's just one and a half years old. No, this is not me saying that. My son, I don't even know my wife and I were talking about something totally unrelated. And he kind of pops out, he was, you know, after a soccer game, he's eaten dinner, whatever, in real late. And he said, something that he said, you know, I never thought because of course, you know, the public schools, what? This is a build up. This is a build up. This is a build up. 1:44:09Labor Day report just two weeks ago Tom Tiffany though says let's do the exact opposite of what Tony Evers did over the past four years we're going to return all of the budget surplus back to the people of Wisconsin we're going to end the 400 year property tax increase so people kind of forward to stay in their homes so young people can afford to afford to buy home we're going to end taxes on tips and over time at the state level just like I did federally so more so people have more money in their pockets and we're going to reduce the middle income we're going to have a middle income tax cut of 10 percent we are going to put more money into people's pockets we're going to make sure they have safe streets we are going to make sure that state government is accountable to the taxpayers by making sure that we audit all of state government we are going to make state government work for the people of this data Wisconsin in contrast what do they do in David Crowley's Milwaukee Crowley of course the Democratic gubernatorial candidate he is

1:45:13Milwaukee County executive this is from city government so this does not have to do with David Crowley per se but this is the exact mindset of Democrats the big issue is affordability right big issue today big issue of this campaign it's affordability that we need to make sure that government is not spending and taxing and taking more money from the people we need to get more money back to the people city of Milwaukee common council is recommending now an 8 percent pay raise for themselves the finance and personnel committee met yesterday and approved put forward a plan to raise the pay give raises to themselves all 15 common council members as well as Milwaukee's mayor Cavalier Johnson starting with the next four year term in 2028 followed by 2 percent annual increases the plan would raise the mayor's salary from about $169,000 to 182,000

1:46:20and council members pay from 84,000 to 90,000 dollars which is about the biggest joke there is because it is not a full time job there was a city attorney opinion that an earlier provision in 2024 by the joyfully gleefully comically corrupt former city attorney, Tearman Spencer who is now been sentenced to jail time for corruption which would have tied elected officials raises to those of general city employees was shot down because you can't do that you can't vote to raise your own salary in the middle of a term you can't get elected and say yes yes yes we are going to raise our salaries now you have to wait till the next election under that plan remember this is left to their own devices 2024 when nobody was talking about inflation or affordability because

1:47:20we had a Democrat president and even though inflation and affordability were much much much much much bigger problems while prices were increasing about as fast as they ever have in this country's history nobody was on that do you know what the pay would have been under Democrats original plan for the raises in Milwaukee 15% 15% okay by the way we were here on the Dan O'Donnell show the ones who broke this story in 2023 right after the big push the the inflation reduction act at the federal level and Democrats coming out of the midterms gearing up for 2024 they were saying look we are going to make things more affordable their plan is to raise your taxes which they did

1:48:22city of Milwaukee increased the price of everything by 2% because they were so terrible and so too is David Crowley as the county executive the steward of the public's treasure in Milwaukee County was so awful at it they were running massive deficits they have to go to the state legislature and beg to be allowed to in Milwaukee's case city in Milwaukee be allowed to implement a new city sales tax to the tune of 2% 2% the price of everything you buy in Milwaukee that's what a sales tax is with certain exceptions the price of everything goes up by 2% that is 2% Chevy Johnson inflation David Crowley very nearly doubled Milwaukee County sales tax double in the cost of everything from a government taking perspective in all their words he doubled

1:49:23what government is going to literally take from you and a sales tax this is the most assinine type of tax is it not from a county and a city level you can see a property tax okay you have a property there is associated maintenance that a city that a county if you live by the parks that government has to take care you probably can't repay the street outside of your home right yeah you probably yeah maybe a little bit you couldn't do the entire neighborhood right maybe cost prohibitive you couldn't take your own trash out to the dump or at least you wouldn't want to police schools all of this stuff property taxes okay I don't like it it makes sense a sales tax government is just going to sort of because those businesses are paying taxes it's not as though the infrastructure surrounding the business and helping the business is in need of extra government

1:50:26revenue that's covered by their property taxes that's covered by their income taxes covered by their associated fees for doing business in a city or a county a sales tax is nothing but a direct increase in the price of a good or the price of a service it is as direct as it gets it is as in your face as it gets and David Crowley is the guy you have this is the choice that we have in this gubernatorial election Tom Tiffany says I am going to get rid of the 400 year property tax hike the 400 year veto that literally made things less affordable for people because they have to commit more money to their property taxes every year I am going to return three billion dollars that were apparently running in a structural surplus because we're taking in so much more in tax revenue

1:51:31because there is so much more of a tax burden on Wisconsinites he's going to return it all to the people in the form of tax rebates he's going to end taxes on tips over time cut income taxes by 10% for the working class audit state government to make sure we do not have the levels of fraud and abuse and waste that the doge movement by president Trump found in the federal government now on the other side so this is he wants to cut he wants to give more money back directly to people here is David Crowley's literal record as Milwaukee County executive Ben County executive since 2020 every single year save for one he has raised the property tax in Milwaukee County by millions of dollars this past year there was massive sticker shock when people opened up their property tax bills

1:52:35he raised property taxes this is not even as you can just say okay well it's the schools it's mps it's no the county levy this is the amount levied signed off on and approved by David Crowley 10.4 million dollars he made things less affordable for his constituents to the tune of 10.4 million dollars that's not well he voted for this and this may have had because Crowley is out there today saying Tiffany voted for this bill and Tiffany voted for this okay dude you literally signed off on 10.4 million dollars that is coming directly out of the paychecks directly out of the pockets directly out of the family budgets of your constituents that's just one year 2025 raised the property tax levy by 7.2 million dollars this is hundreds of dollars per home per family 2024 he's been crowing about this he said we have the single biggest property tax cut ever

1:53:38yes because you nearly doubled the county sales tax making the cost of everything else much more unaffordable again literally taking money out of the hands of people who you by your own emission cannot afford trumps wars and cannot afford trumps co-seeing up to billionaires okay well why the hell given that let's let's take you at face value let's take your platitudes at face value given that why do you think that because of your own fiscal mismanagement because of your own inability to handle the pension system where we're giving even more money to county government even after employees retire you think that every single person who purchases something in your county should be forced to pay for it 2023 raised property taxes by 3.5 million dollars 2022

1:54:49a property tax hike of 5.5 million dollars in his first full year is county executive 2021 raised property taxes by 2.9 million dollars folks when you have to pay more in taxes when you have to commit more of the dollars that you earn to government does that make everything else more affordable or less affordable when you have fewer dollars left over to pay for them rather obviously nothing is affordable when democrats are in charge they raise taxes and they pay for themselves and their friends it's going on literally right now literally today by the way the full common council and again that city of Milwaukee I want to be fair here I want

1:55:51to be way fairer than democrats would be to tom tiffinier have been to tom tiffinier I'll be fair to David Crowley calling council this is city of Milwaukee this is not Milwaukee County David Crowley though raised property taxes in 6 years by about 30 million dollars near as anyone can tell the sales tax revenue per year since it was implemented in 2024 I believe it took effect January 1st 2024 it is generated a hundred plus million dollars per year it's a hundred million dollars every single year straight out of the pockets of Milwaukee County residents straight into government it's a hundred million dollars that could have been spent on other things could have made things more affordable but instead it had to go to pay for David Crowley's

2:08:24license to practice law in the state of Wisconsin she was able to subvert the system of justice itself using her position and privilege as a judge to do so there is nothing nothing I think worse for someone who has the privilege to practice law in a state to do and in fact if you do commit it doesn't even have to be a crime if you do something that speaks directly to your ability to have the privilege to practice law in the state that is treated much more severely than even a violent crime even say you get in a fight with your roommate and beat him up as well as the girlfriend if you say steal a client's money or you do something that your law license has a direct bearing on your ability to commit the offense that's a very very serious thing
