Press Secretary Caroline Levitt says since the U.S. has taken out Iran's military, it's clear to them that now is the time to talk. Their ability to attack American and ally forces, as well as their ability to defend their own territory, is dwindling literally hour by hour.

A new Lord of the Rings movie is being developed by Stephen Colbert, Warner Bros. released a video last night with director Peter Jackson announcing the new project and introducing the late show host as Jackson's partner on the film titled The Lord of the Rings Shadows of the Past. A plot of the movie comes from chapters of the fellowship of the ring that didn't make it into Jackson's 2001 adaptation. Maybe that could be its own story that could fit into the larger story.
Could we make something that was completely faithful to the books while also being completely faithful to the movies that you guys had already made? Colbert is a well known Lord of the Rings expert and said he's been working on the idea with his son, screenwriter Peter McGee, and developing a screenplay over the last two years. In the video, Jackson asks Colbert if he'll have time to work on the film because of his show when Colbert said he'll be free starting this summer. The final episode of the late show with Stephen Colbert is scheduled to air on May 21st. I'm Chris Caragio.
