President Trump claims Israel attacked a major Iranian gas field on Wednesday out of anger without giving the U.S. the heads up. Meanwhile Saudi Arabia's foreign minister says they're losing patience with Iran and its attacks on its neighbors in the Middle East.

Israel has announced that it has carried out an attack on the Iranian side of the world's largest natural gas site called South Park, which Iran shares with Qatar. Only hours later Qatar reported extreme damage to another of its own natural gas sites after Israel threatened to retaliate. Oklahoma Senator Mark Wayne Mullin's nomination to be the next secretary of Homeland Security is now headed to the full Senate, the Homeland Security Committee advanced the nomination this morning. On this vote, the yeas are eight, the nays are seven, and the motion to report the nominee is agreed to. Mullin only needs 50 votes in the Senate to be confirmed as Vice President Vance would break any tie. This morning the only Republican to vote against him was Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, who said that Mullin has anger control issues. National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard and FBI Director Cash Patel are appearing before the House Intelligence Committee this morning after visiting the Senate yesterday

2:05more from Mark Mayfield. Gabbard faced the Senate Intelligence Committee Wednesday at an annual hearing on world-wide threats. Was it the assessment of the intelligence community that there was a, quote, imminent nuclear threat posed by the Iranian regime, yes or no? Senator the only person who can determine in what isn't is not an imminent threat is the president. He also asked why she left out a line from her opening statement that was included in her written remarks. Gabbard omitted a line that said Iran's nuclear enrichment program was obliterated by U.S. strikes in June, and there have been no efforts since then to try and rebuild their enrichment capability.
