Flyers across the US face to rough travel day as severe weather and long security lines caused widespread disruptions. Thunderstorms sweeping down the east coast into Florida triggered a growing wave of delays and cancellations. According to flight-aware, more than 1100 flights were cancelled and nearly 9,000 delayed. Major airports are reporting unusually long TSA lines.

1:02The partial shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security has left TSA agents working without pay, and the agency says its workforce is fully stretched trying to keep checkpoints moving. President Trump is taking part in the annual Shamrock Bowl presentation at the White House. Prime Minister Mihaul Martin presented Trump with the bowl as a gift to highlight the importance of the US-Irland relationship. Well, they to shook as far from Emerald Isle. It caps a day full of Irish-themed events for the President on St. Patrick's Day, including a one-on-one meeting with Martin earlier in the Oval Office. The Fed is set to announce its second interest rate decision of the year on Wednesday. It comes at the conclusion of a two-day meeting of the Federal Open Market Committee. It's expected the central bank will leave interest rates unchanged for the time being. Fed Chair Jerome Powell is navigating through some economic uncertainty that's been created by the Iran War.

2:03Investors will be listening for any clues from Powell about the next possible rate cut when he speaks after the decision is announced. The next decision comes late in April. Amazon's now offering delivery as fast as one hour for certain things. The online retail giant rolled out one hour and three-hour delivery options on Tuesday. Amazon says more than 90,000 items, including everyday household essentials, health and beauty items, and over-the-counter medications are eligible to be quickly shipped. The one-hour option is live in hundreds of cities and towns across the country. The three-hour option is available to customers and more than 2,000 cities and towns. I'm Tammy Trujillo. The Supreme Court will air arguments over President Trump's efforts to end protections for Haitians and Syrians living in the U.S. Michael Casner reports. The administration has looked to revoke the legal protections for more than 350,000 Haitians and 6,100 Syrians as part of the president's immigration agenda. The Supreme Court agreed to take up the issue next month. For now, the high court has left orders from lower courts in place blocking the administration's efforts.

3:05A final ruling is expected by summer. I'm Michael Casner. California's National Park set a new attendance record last year. The National Park Service says the state's nine national parks drew nearly 12 million recreational visits in 2025 as an increase of more than 800,000 from the year before. The data shows more than 4 million visits to Yusemite, nearly 3 million to Joshua Tree, and over 1 million to Death Valley. Nationwide National Parks recorded more than 300 million visits in 2025. Pending home sales unexpectedly went up in February. Matt Mattensen reports. The National Association of Realtors cited improved affordability for driving the 1.8% increase in contract sign from the prior month. However, pending home sales declined 8 tenths of a percent year over year. The Midwest led the way in monthly gains for February, followed by the South and West.
