President Trump says we don't need any help protecting the Strait of Hormuz in a meeting with Ireland's Prime Minister at the White House. Trump made the comment to reporters when asked about getting more NATO allies to help secure the Strait as the war in Iran continues. Despite the fact that we help them so much, we have thousands of soldiers in different countries all over the world.

1:04And they don't want to help us, which is amazing. Trump said this was a great test for NATO and quote they didn't want to help us. He called it shocking, adding he won't forget. France, Germany and Spain have rejected involvement in helping secure the strategic waterway where one fifth of the world's oil passes through. The UK remains undecided on the issue. Iran's targeting of vessels going through the Strait has led to spiking gas prices here in the U.S. The clock is starting on the Save America Act in the Senate. Senate Majority Leader John Thune is holding a vote today to open debate on the voter ID measure but seem more focused on how Democrats vote. President Trump calls the bill the most important legislation in the history of Congress. Thune has so far resisted pressure from Trump to temporarily nuke the filibuster to beat the 60 vote threshold needed to pass the House approved bill.

2:05Debate on this bill could last weeks. President Trump's top counterterrorism official is stepping down from his post amid the war in Iran. In a post on ex-national counterterrorism center director Joe Kant said quote, he cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. He added, Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel. In his resignation letter to Trump, Kant claims high ranking Israeli officials deployed a misinformation campaign that he says wholly undermine the president's America first platform. I'm Lisa Carton. A federal judge is blocking health secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. from proceeding with an overhaul of the nation's childhood vaccine schedule. Michael Casnar reports, the judge ruled that Kennedy's changes to vaccine recommendations as well as an influential vaccine advisory committee violated federal law. Kennedy and the CDC reduced the number of recommended shots from 18 to 11 and the new guidance struck recommendations that all babies should be protected against hepatitis A, hepatitis B, RSV, Dengue and two types of bacterial meningitis.

3:13The judges also put a hold on the new members Kennedy appointed to the CDC's vaccine advisory committee last June. Reactions are coming in from the Miami Cuban community after President Trump said he will have quote the honor of taking Cuba. Here's Karen Curtis. I think what he means is that he will have the honor of being the first American president that will have freed Cuba. Cuban-born Miami radio host Nino Ska Perez says Trump's comments did not cause Cuba's electrical grid to collapse. The blackouts are not new. The lack of water is not new. This is a collapse system. 67 years they have taken that country to the worst condition that it has ever been. Perez says the Cuban regime is the problem and she cannot wait for President Trump to free the island so she can return.
