President Trump says Iran is ready to negotiate a ceasefire, but he says he's not ready to make a deal. Trump says that's because the terms aren't good enough yet. The U.S. ambassador to the United Nations says conversations are ongoing with countries to help reopen the strait of hormones. Mike Walsh made the comment on CNN's date of the union as the oil supply is being disrupted by the military conflict with Iran.
And we certainly welcome, encourage, and even demand their participation to help their own economies. His comments come after President Trump posted on Saturday that the UK, China, France, and other countries should send warships to the narrow strait near Iran to make sure oil tankers can get through. Energy Secretary Chris Wright says there's a good chance gas prices will fall below $3 a gallon by summer. He made the prediction on NBC's Meet the Press as Americans face steep prices at the gas pump. It is a short-term disruption in the flow of energy. Americans are feeling it right now. Americans will feel it for a few more weeks. Triple A says the current price for a gallon of regular gas in the U.S. is around $3.70 on average. That's up about 25 cents from last week. Hollywood's biggest night is in the books. One battle after another was the evening's top winner, picking up six trophies during the 98th Academy Awards. The film scored an award in the best picture, best director, adapted screenplay, and film editing categories.

The State Department's offering a $10 million reward for information on Iranian leaders as the conflict in the Middle East continues. Scott Carr has more from Washington. Through its rewards for justice division, the State Department says it's seeking information on the key leaders of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and its component branches. The notice on the reward lists new Iranian Supreme Leader Mustaba Kamani, the son of former Supreme Leader Ali Kamani.
In his first public message since being appointed, Kamani warned that he would avenge the blood of those who were killed during the strikes. I'm Scott Carr in Washington. Millions of people in the Southwest are bracing for an extreme heat wave. The National Weather Service says the Los Angeles area will be hit with an extremely rare long duration heat waves starting on Monday. With temperatures up to 35 degrees above normal and lasting possibly all the way through Friday, the heat wave could break daily high temperature records across the region and could set some all time records for the month of March. The extreme heat hits Arizona later in the week when afternoon highs in the Phoenix area could hit triple digits, possibly also breaking a March record. March madness is officially here. Rob Martyr is busy filling out his brackets. The NCAA tournament released its 60-18 bracket on Sunday. Duke is the top overall seed in the tourney and will represent the East region. Arizona is number one in the West. Michigan sits atop the Midwest and Florida is the final one seed in the South. Miami of Ohio slipped into the tournament despite suffering its first loss of the season in the Mac quarterfinals.
The tournament gets underway with the first four games taking place Tuesday and Wednesday with the final four set for April 4th in Indianapolis. The price of an ad-free Prime Video subscription is going up. Amazon says upgrading to the ad-free tier will cost 499 a month starting April 10th. On top of the cost for an Amazon Prime subscription, the ad-free tier will be rebranded as Prime Video Ultra. It will also allow users to stream on as many as five devices at the same time.
