The extreme heat will hit Arizona later in the week afternoon highs in the Phoenix area could hit tripled digits, possibly breaking records for the month of March. Securities beefed up ahead of tonight's Oscar ceremony in Hollywood. Academy award officials say they're working with LAPD and the FBI to make sure security is tight. Police drones and bomb-sniffing dogs will be at the scene. LAPD says a one-mile security perimeter will be put in place. The Dolby Theatre in Hollywood will be locked down once everyone's entered the venue. I'm Scott Carr. The State Department is cutting the fee that Americans pay to renounce their U.S. citizenship. On Friday, they lower the fee by nearly 80% bringing the cost down from over $2,300 to $450. The State Department estimates nearly 5,000 people apply every year for the certificate of laws of nationality. The price of gas has spiked again in California up another $0.7 gallon on average.

A court filing argues the rapper had been found not guilty of a more serious charge in that the 50-month sentence for the man-act conviction punishes him for crimes of which he was acquitted.
