The U.S. has attacked military targets in Iran's main oil export terminal. President Trump posted Friday that U.S. forces had totally obliterated every military target in a bombing raid in Kars Island, the Persian Gulf. The island sits just off Iran's mainland and is considered the crown jewel of Iran's oil industry. Trump said he'd chosen not to wipe out the oil infrastructure on the island, but might reconsider that decision. Should Iran or anyone else interfere with the safe passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz? The U.S. is reportedly sending thousands of Marines and sailors to the Middle East.

1:01That's according to multiple reports citing U.S. officials. Garrett Hake has more. The Marine units specially trained for crisis response, including evacuations, protecting embassies, and to be first on the ground in dangerous areas. Reports say three amphibious assault ships are also being sent to the region. An amphibious ready group would include 2,500 sailors. Flights are moving again after a bad odor caused a traffic jam at Washington, D.C.'s three major airports. Flights were halted just before 5 p.m. Eastern after a chemical smell affected air traffic controllers. The ground stops impacted flights at Reagan National, B.W.I. and Dulles airports. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy posted on X that the odor was traced to an overheated circuit board. The FAA says Reagan National and B.W.I. were still experiencing ground delays until midnight. Senate Republicans are expected to bring the Save America act to the floor for a vote next week. President Trump is ramping up the heat on Senate Majority Leader John Thune, who says there aren't enough votes to beat the 60-vote threshold needed to pass the voter ID measure. Thune has so far resisted pressure from Trump and some of his fellow Republicans to either suspend the filibuster or force Democrats into a talking filibuster. If either are implemented, the act could end up passing with a simple Republican majority. Democrats are united in opposition, arguing that requiring ID would disenfranchise millions of voters. Flaka replaces Rick Grinnell, who had been the performing arts center's president. Trump said Grinnell had done an excellent job during the Kennedy Center's transition period and thanked him for his outstanding work. Flaka has been the center's vice president of facilities operations. President Trump is confirming reports that he gifts his administration officials with new dress shoes. The president was asked about the reports and tees that when his officials have a problem, he says, let me get you a pair of shoes. President Trump explained it's a fun gesture deriving from his experience, walking in shoes, he described as no good. However, he denied claims of developing a brand attachment to the men's shoewear company, Floreshaim. Composer and artist Labrynth is slamming the HBO series Euphoria. Do not know my name.
